As I am aware that every register can process returns, I asked how much time she needed to prioritize her tasks and I would be happy to wait. She then informed me that she was not going to argue with me and proceeded to walk away and continue her work behind a closed door. STOP SELLING EXPIRED SAUSAGE Walmart continues to have expired Jimmy Dean sausages in their refrigerated sections and curbside pickup employees continue to pick them up and give them to customers. My wife consistently gets expired sausages in her Walmart curbside pickup orders. Sometimes they are two to four months expired and by the time she brings them home and checks them it's too late and she has to go out of her way and waste her time and energy to return it. Now every time she does a pickup, she checks the bag to see whether or not the sausage is good. On a pickup today (2025-10-18), she found expired sausage in her pickup and had to refuse it. As I said before this is CONSISTENT. Imagine if she or we hadn't checked the date and consumed it. Walmart needs to check their inventory for expired foods and their employees need to check the dates on food before they pack it. read more

several reasons for the 5 star One being the awesome customer service I received!!... this location was more spacious as it usually has stuff lined up neatly in front of the carts like chips, snacks, batteries etc leading up to the self checkout. I found the items I needed and this lady was so helpful!! Upon me discovering for the Beauty & Health department they now have most things locked up in a case and they put a whole cashiers station so you can just pay for your things right then and so ppl won't walk out of the store with something. I completely understand but the sectional is so cool and neatly stocked. I'm glad I didn't have to wait in a long line for two beauty items!...I went to pay and wasn't sure if they accepted this card brand I had, instead of saying no we don't and have me look for another one she said so happily we can try!! and see!! and it worked!!!... I ended up getting more than I wanted to even got a new pretty frying pan trimmed in gold and didn't have all that chemical stuff being made from it that comes off when you're cooking overtime. I got here at 8:30 am! It wasn't packed, I found everything I needed I even got an exercise ball!! to use for home!!.. so I'm satisfied with my purchases and definitely the awesome customer experience read more

I don't have any complaints, Walmart always comes through in a clutch with my last minute needs. I will say for this location, I only go for small incidentals. The store overall is a bit cluttered and not the most organized. However, for what I need, I'm always in and out. I came last minute for some feminine products and nail clippers ..the online product locator does not always match the layout of the store so be mindful of that. As I'm looking for my nail clipper, I came across some Dr. teals products I never knew I needed...so again, no complaints from me Wallyworld! The self check out is a bit weird, as far as how to get there. It almost felt like I was leaving store with products in my hands but then I was able to find the self check out entrance. read more

The sporting goods department did an impressive job in giving me good service. Actually, twice- once when I bought a treadmill, and some months later when my son and I bought a bike. Both patient and knowledgeable. Helped in every way you could expect. I can't say the merchandise is the sort that will last twenty years, but there is a place in the world for inexpensive items that you need to try out to see if a hobby or machine is right for you. It is after you know that, that you may want to spend a lot on a high-end item at a specialty store. Until then, Wal-Mart is a sensible option. read more

You can get the basics from this Walmart; however for someone who wants fresh spinach and salad, this is not the place. There is absolutely no area of fresh veggies. This is the only Walmart I've ever been to in life that doesn't have an area of fresh produce. All the veggies are frozen or canned. There is no bagged salad or even peppers. Also, there is virtually no staff here. I walked around for 20 minutes looking for someone to ask a question. It was impossible. When I finally found someone they didn't seem to want to help at all, but I asserted myself and told him I had to have help because no one else was there. I went to the Bowie Walmart yesterday morning about 9:00 a.m. I was pleasantly surprised!! I shop at Walmart both online and in store. The Bowie store was one of my least favorites. It was a running joke that this store was a "hit or miss." However, the shelves were stocked and organized. Store staff were available and working. It was clean. It was such a great experience, I actually did more shopping than I planned!! I wanted to do a happy dance. I was so excited that I wanted to share my delight with the manager, so I ask a staff person if I could speak with the manager (not explaining why). Well, the staff person took me to customer service and it turned into disappointment (this is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5). The staff person requested the customer service rep to call the manager for me and the young lady refused. The staff person asked several times and the young women's response was "you call him." Very unprofessional and all of this was done in front of me - the customer. I just walked away. But I still wanted to share the "job" well done on the other points. read more

Walmart the cashier you have tonight on register 3 was completely unprofessional. Her and her coworker carried on a good ol conversation about how many transactions she had left. Then took the time to look up both of their numbers to see how many transactions she and her coworker had done. The fact that all this happened while my husband and I just stood their patiently and waited for them to finish was unacceptable. I just love a store that has half of everything I came in to get. I only ever shop for about 5 to 10 items at the most. And when I come for 5 and leave with three. That's not a good shopping experience. You usually have to wait in the line in this location. However today I was only behind one person in the express lane. Not sure how the express lane is 20 items or less, but...I guess walmart has redefined Express lane count. Prices are great and the service at the sporting goods section Always has the most knowledgeable employee and the fastest checkout. Seems like they're always stocking this store however they are always missing half of what I came for. With all that being said, this is one of the better Walmart options in the county. read more

This store is one of the worst in the area. I recently went in to grab dog food and there was barely any around as I guess they are remodeling or moving things around. I saw two types in the clearance CLEARLY marked with yellow stickers and when I get to the register of course one isn't. Ok I get that but as a customer all I see is the big yellow clearance sticker stuck to this bag and all the others of the same type on the shelf. This Walmart shouldn't even have the 2 star rating it currently has. It is ALWAYS super packed. The flow of the parking lot is horrible (only 2 entrances/exits). No one ever answers the phone. Managers literally leave their employees with no assistance whatsoever during a high influx of customers. The same employees that aren't being assisted lack proper knowledge on how to do their job. This is purely a situational rating. In reality, this Wal-Mart is extremely disorganized and just a horrific place to shop. Although, last night I have never been happier with a Wal-Mart in my entire life. Let me explain: Xi was showing us how to solve a Rubik's Cube and I was getting psyched because I was actually learning something. So, when we said our goodbyes, I had no idea how I was going to practice and retain what I just learned. After traveling everywhere, this particular Wal-Mart had a full shelf of them. I don't shop at Walmart that often but this is a nice store. It's huge, of course, with a grocery section as well as sections for everything else you would want to buy. I went during the middle of the day and during the middle of the week so it wasn't hugely crowded, which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and check out was quick. The only strange thing about Walmart is that their web based pricing is cheaper than their actual in-store pricing. I wrote a blog post about this experience. I wanted a tripod which I found online and there was a selection to either have it shipped to my home or I could have it shipped to the store - for free. However, it showed this tripod in stock. I went to the store and found it was $9 more expensive so I literally had to order it on the web and wait for the e-mail that said it was ready to be picked up and then go back to the store to get my tripod. Just plain weird. If it's in the store already, it should be the same price as the web or, at the very least, the web price should be honored. Nevertheless, this is a nice Walmart and I would probably go back to shop (middle of the week, of course) and, if I just wanted one thing, I'd order it on the Web and pick it up at the store. I've been to plenty of Wal-Marts and this one is a sight for sore eyes. You can't help who shops there but at this location I witnessed all kinds of oddities in my brief visit. I did find the item I was looking for & inquired if they price matched because Target had the same item for less.I had a coupon so whether they matched the price or not I was still winning. There is no organization in the Customer Service area. It's hard to tell where the line ends & begins & items in abandoned carts begging to be restocked. After waiting in line for ten minutes I waited for the rep to stop having a conversation with her good girlfriend about the dang ice cream social that was supposed to go down. I explained that Target had my item cheaper & I was prepared to show her the online ad and give the telephone number in case she needed to call and verify. Well, she told me that they don't price match online items & she and her homegirl had a debate over whether or not they'd honor it. After stepping away for a few minutes to check on something; the second lady looked at the product then the online price & told me that if I chose a smaller one she'd honor it. I don't know why I didn't take my butt home. I mean, after my $5 off coupon I was gtg but I would've been happier if I could have gotten a clear answer on their price match policy. I now know that I will only come to this location if I am in dire need. The customer service here needs a reboot and management may want to take a gander at all the ish laying around in random places. Honestly this place gets 1 star because they do a decent job keeping items in stock. Otherwise I'd give them a zero for customer service and management! They are the absolute worst. I shopped and after paying for my items through a cashier (who was actually courteous), I grabbed my bags to leave. Unfortunately they only had small bags and she couldn't put the small rice cooker in the bag. One of the men who was checking receipts for those ringing up their own purchases decides that he's going to move AWAY from the area he's working and ask me for my receipt. I asked why because he had NOT stopped ANYONE else leaving the store from a cashier supervised line. Mind you, my hands are full. This idiot said bc my box was NOT in a bag! To which I responded the cashier said they were out of anything except small bags and HE responded "I know!" WTH!!! Mind you I dropped the box bc there was no place for me to put anything down to find the receipt. I told him the box would be returned if the item was broken from the fall. He had the audacity to then say, and I need to see the receipt for the umbrellas WHICH WERE IN a Wal-Mart bag. Naturally I asked if he was trying to make me lose my composure in the store! Long story short I found the receipt and he didn't even LOOK AT IT IN MY HAND! After placing my items in the car, I called the store and asked for the manager. Best part yet, I was placed on hold for over 12 mins and no one returned to the phone. Just unacceptable service all around and makes me thankful for other options for my retail purchases. read more

She tried to tell me I was blocking the lane and that the line was "back there". I told her I was in line and she kinda shut up but I could see her pointing at me and chatting with her co workers. Probably one of the worst walmarts I have ever been to, and I have been to my fair shares of Walmart across the country having worked in a brand new super store and frequented two right out side a military town. The selection at this store is horrific to say the least, seriously how is it the cleaning isle has no rubber gloves? The baby section is an utter joke, I was lucky to find the diaper my children use there. The isles are cramped as they over load them with carts and items and the lines.. great Gaia the lines take forever! Even if you are nice to the cashier you will be lucky to get a hello in return let alone a smile. Three stars because there were actually several lines open. They have an Auntie Anne's Pretzel AND a subway. They have a MVA inside for express tag and title which is actually really convenient. I've been here and received excellent service in the women's clothing department. However I've also received poor service at the registers. So I guess it just depends. I mean it is Walmart and you can't really complain much. Had trouble with the one coupon that I brought in for some cat food. Apparently it didn't ring up yet it was exactly what i purchased and the cashier wouldn't take it. I went to this Walmart with my husband who purchased an item. On our way out there was employee checking receipts. The employee studied the receipt of an African American woman who was ahead of us like he would be quizzes on it later. He examined my husband's receipt (who is also African American). Then I waited to see if he would check the receipt of the Caucasian woman behind us and he did not. She had her receipt in her hand and he told her to have a good evening. They are now converting this Wal-Mart to a Super Center with a full grocery. I went there today and made several purchases. The cashier forgot to give me my bag and after a day of shopping around, I got home and realized I didn't have my merchandise. I called the store and customer service said I have to come and see if the cashier has the item because it wasn't turned in. She said she couldn't check with the cashier because she had a long line. I completely understood that. I just don't feel like driving out to Bowie to get my item!! Make sure you have all your bags after you check-out. read more
