went to Walmart for an oil change. Had a 330 appointment. It was total chaos. The service manager was so unprofessional screaming at an employee telling him. Ito get in his office and was yelling at him for over 20 minutes or customers or waiting to get work done on their vehicles I took my car home the next day I was leaking oil. I came back. The service manager proceeded to tell me that it was runoff cause the oil filter is in a bad position he said everything was fixed. I'm good to go. I sat in the parking lot and put cardboard underneath my car sure enough it's still leaking. He brings it back in tells me the oil pan nut was loose cause it's clearly dripping from the oil pan he then again apologized and said he is overworked and and it's the auto center managers for for him being over workers read more

Had to make a return Friday at noon. Walked in the return line was 10 deep, only one cashier. After about 20 minutes the lady in front of me with two young children asked to see the manager. The manager came over, paged and associate to come and left. No one ever came. After 10 more minutes (30 minutes on line) I walked out, still 6 people were in front of me. Never buying anything again because you can't return anything there. read more

Walmart takes money for items NOT IN STOCK!!!!!! 11/22/22 - Artificial tree listed as IN STOCK for pickup at Walmart in Commack. They take the money out of my account immediately. The next morning - oh sorry, we do not have the item in stock, cannot ship it but won't credit back my money for 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. Walmart is NOTORIOUS for doing this. Went to the Walmart in Commack the other day to pick up some grocery items and some supplies for my Cricut hobby. After picking up all of my grocery items I went to look for the Cricut supplies and found them in a locked cabinet. Since there was no one around I went looking for someone who could help and the nearest was the electronics department. The employee's there said they would call someone to help who had a key to the locked cabinet. 20 minutes later no one showed up and I left the store without purchasing anything. Went to another store to pick up my grocery items and ordered what I needed for my Cricut on Amazon. Very poor service and treatment of a customer. On my way out I noticed that the lines on the mostly self service registers were all very long, which is also disappointing. This was last Wednesday afternoon and I did not expect it to so crowded. They need to train their employee's that customer service does matter. read more

Wal-Mart is what it is. I do not find their stores to be the cheapest by any means. You can find most itms for less elsewhere. Know the prices of the item that you are looking for going in. There are good deals in the automotive section, which is the only reason that I go to Wal-Mart. Their battery warranty is excellent and they honor it. I had a battery that malfunctioned a few months short of the two year warranty and they honored the warranty and replaced it for free. For that, I do give them third star. Also do not believe that the online prices are better than in store. While you are in the store, look up the item and see for yourself. If it is cheaper online, order it for in store pick up and stop at service by before you leave the store. As the pictures I posted show, the item that I was shopping for is $1.58 in the store and $10.93 online. That is NOT saving online. read more

I am not usually a Walmart shopper in general. I was in the area and needed one specific item which only Walmart was supposed to have. The place was super mobbed I though they were giving stuff away free!! LOL I walked the the store to try to find what I was looking for and could not find it. I tried to find a staff member to help or ask were to find item , But could not find any staff. I finally found a staff member and they had no clue as to were to direct me to go.???? Parking lot is huge and it was packed took me 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Not sure what the overall attraction to Walmart is. I have to say after this visit I would not go back again. The lines for checkout were ridiculous and too many people in the store. It was just too crowded and not enough support staff. read more

Oh wait, that was K-Mart for underwear (a la Rainmain) but in any case Wal-Mart serves this function well as they have not only underwear (socks in my case) but just about anything else you need for your home, at rather cheap prices. Wal-Mart is a parody of itself and I had to giggle as I was going through the place at some of the patrons. Let's just call it eclectic clientele and leave it at that. Selection is good - particularly for home items and food, although the boxes of vegetables just sitting on shelves was somewhat strange. Prices are fairly cheap- and as usually happens, I walked out with more than I went in for. I'd go again if in this area. Big parking lot. read more

I always find myself within the vicinity of a Neighborhood Walmart. Its really a get what you need kind of store and get out. The lines are almost always long. Best time to shop is first thing in the morning when the store first opens. I came to this particular store to purchase puppy products a bed and a chewy toy. I used the self check-out to avoid the additional wait time. I always try and enter with a list to stick to my plan. The best Walmart's are south of New York State. So far the best one I have been to is in Farmingdale. The store is huge and the shelves are always well stocked. read more

After spending an hour+ running back and forth at the sh*t show of a place, Commack Walmart, Im finally finishing up my shopping, I leave my cart by the isle to grab something because it's packed on a Sunday afternoon and I come back and my whole cart is gone! I was so pissed. They must have thought it was a junk cart but it was my sh*t! At least $200 worth. Only a couple minutes away from finished... this pissed me off so much I tossed my last item and stormed out. And as I was walking out, I saw my cart along with a bunch of other junk on top of it which pissed me off more. fck this place. Went to buy some spray paint for a home project today. It took 15 mins just to find someone to come open the glass cabinet. Once paid for the paint, I realized the cam was only half full, I took the cap off and the nozzle was used with dripping paint remnants. I wanted to exchange it for another fill can, but I couldn't find anyone to reopen the cabinet again. I was fed up so I just wanted to return it. I ordered a Kitchen Aid stand mixer online for a graduation present, so I had to go to walmart.com services - WHAT A JOKE?!?! Paging anyone who works there with ANY brain functionality! After finally finding someone to assist get the package I already paid for was like Mission Impossible, and then once the item comes out of whatever stock room it is kept in, there is a security device on the damn thing - NOW I need to go to electronics to get the thing off the 30lb.box??? This Walmart is the worst one on the island.. The Managers are all nasty and treat you like your a child and don't understand what they have to do... I purchased a little fridge from this walmart and found out I got the wrong one my wife wanted for our family room.. So I took it back a week later and forgot my receipt at home.. I realized that at the counter and I told them I didn't want to go all the way back home they said "if I had the credit card I used they could look it up for me." I gave them my credit card and the woman that was helping me was fine with it but the manager came over gave the employee a hard time because he said it is not their responsibility to look up the charge so then I said " fine can you give me store credit since I need to get the other fridge you have." The manager then started in yelling at me saying "NO! Its over $50 and since you don't have you receipt we can't do anything for you so your stuck with it." After that I said fine I took the fridge walked out and went home.. I went back 2 days later with the receipt this time and got the manager again that started in with "OH GREAT YOUR BACK!!" I said "Yes and with my receipt this time." He looked over my receipt and tried arguing that he can't do anything cause we have had it too long.. Then he started to inspect the box and told me " I can't take this back cause you opened it." Meanwhile the same tape was on it and it was sealed.. I finally got someone over him to take it back.. MY Review of Wal-Mart, Located Crooked Hill, Commack NY. I stopped in to the Walmart at the Crooked Hill location in Commack NY. I needed to pick up a few things for my wife & Mom. I found this location To be large and very well ordered. It was early in the day, the store was not crowded. I took a little time to look at the vast array of merchandise that this store has offer the consumer. I was very impressed everything was neat and well-stocked. This place literally has almost everything . There is a Subway Restaurant right inside so if you're hungry you can stop in for a quick bite. (Was very good and fresh & Rick was very courteous).. PS.. I was THIS Subway's " FIRST" Customer when they Opened! Really. I REALLY like the $5 DVD bin. I always find some good ones in there. When shopping for pet supplies, I could not help but notice that they had 5 full Isles completely stocked With enough to make even Garfield satisfied. As well as a refrigerator for some fresh pet goodies. The Garden supply area is huge and salesperson Jamie was very helpful In assisting me with some purchases. The camera and photography Department here is well stocked. I noticed that they rotate the inventory to keep current with the latest models. The Electronics Department was also well-stocked with the latest available merchandise. I purchased a power inverter, SD memory cards and other camera equipment I needed. I also took a moment to look at some of the up-and-coming home security systems now available. (Photos) The shoe department at this Walmart Is large and well stocked. My Wife was able to get sandals for just $9.99 and I found a pair of USA red white and blue flip flops for just $5 bucks. The staff was especially courteous and helpful answering my questions. I noticed how busy they were keeping the store clean . My check out was quick and painless. I had the chance to use the self checkout registers, there's always someone to help you and you usually beat the line. I will be back again, oh yeah! Yes, just about everything you need under one roof and makes a great afternoon of shopping and stocking up if it's raining. Most of the items are much cheaper than elsewhere, but you do have to shop around be aware of current sales. Always be a smart, educated shopper. Hello Wall Mart! E-Z Parking. You have to walk to the front and have them paged several times and wait and wait and wait... Self check out machines broken so you have no choice but to get on long lines that go into the isles because there's only 2 registers open. I haven't been a frequent Walmart shopper since college but I needed some random items for a bachelorette party so I thought i would give it a try. Got here minutes after the door opened at 7 am and the place was in disarray. Cleaning products scattered throughout the aisles, clothes and shoes out of place and their bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned in days. This obviously turned me away. I do agree with the other people on here that the lines can be extra long, and that only a handful of registers open makes things even more tense. But I can say that this is one of the better Walmart stores I've been to. Clothing is reasonably priced and a wide variety of foods to choose from. I find that the best time to go here is early mornings and early afternoons (7am to 1pm). My advice to Walmart as a former Pathmark cashier is to open more registers when the store is crowded. That's one of the main reasons why people decide to shop at other stores. I like the layout of this Walmart and will be returning in the near future. read more

Look, it's a Walmart, not the Ritz. I went in, got what I needed and left. So from that perspective, this Walmart perfectly served its purpose. With that said, let me note some observations. As soon as I walked in, the first thing I noticed was a LONG line for returns, that went passed the Subway restaurant. Good thing I didn't need to return anything. Other people commented on the clientele there and let me just say they're not far off. I'll just leave it at that. Parking can be a bit crowded (unless you want to park far) and check out lines can be a bit long at certain times. But again, it's Walmart. They have everything you need and cheap prices. What a hole! Had to go pick up Christmas photo cards at this place. Should have let my wife get them. The guys behind the counter were slow and really didn't what was going on. Apparently there was supposed to be a backup in the orders, so told people to try back in an hour. I ended up telling some of these people to go online and request text or email notification ...otherwise these guys are going to have you coming back every hour. The store was a big mess...granted it was the holiday. I figure there are other comparable stores around like Target that are not in shambles like this place was. Just left walmart of commack. I like this location because they restock the shelves faster and have a bigger inventory then most other walmarts in the area. You also cant beat the lower prices too. Their employees are also very friendly and informative, always ready to help you when you need with our an attiude. read more

The customer service department closes 2 hours before the store officially does ???? Why ? So Ridiculous!! I called corporate and they agreed it shouldn't but nothing done about it thus far ! I went around 7:30am in search of a beach umbrella which they did not have and ended up at the cashier with a six pack of coronas.
