Horrible customer service managment don't give a crap tried exchanging diapers that were listed at 49$ they claimed they were clearence so only were willing to give 25$ value dispute the fact that they were on there shelves listed at 49$ not to mention the fact they only do diaper for diaper exchange no store credit...asked to see where this diaper for diaper policy was listed or disclosed they said well that's just how they figured things there at that stoee...that alone is outrageous and should be reason enough for any one not to shop there. There basically saying we adhere to our own rules dispute Walmart policy and have no obligation to disclose our in store policy's to anyone up to the point of return or exchange... Id like to warn all the single mothers and FONTANA walmart shoppers .The employees or managers here are THIEVES! Just last week I found out a walmart physical card i purchased in store and loaded with 200 for kids christmas gifts was fraudulently obtained and charged and another walmart store in person. first of all imagine ive never once used the gift card i scratch off pin while in line cashier swipes card tells me I have $4 bucks on it. After talking to corporate and reviewing transactions I was shocked to find out ''it was inside job from employees who have access to receipts from tranasactions in store. YES people it happened to me and still im getting excuses run around and bs from managers who dont care to do there job and YES ITS POSSIBLE they do not need your physical gift card or pin to access and use ur card .simply used some long serial bar code number and apparently they know how to be low life losers after that and steal from customers. im pissed. good luck getting anyone to even answer at this place. im going back to corporate tomm, and i will not rest until someone is fired and i get my $ back. tapes are being reviewed ! and I will never shop here again read more

I was going to purchase some fabric and 2 other customers were waiting on assistance over 10+ minutes. I told 4 associates and they were very rude. Then one of the associates told they were on their lunch break and could not help me. Thats understandable but come on! So I took all my merchandise to the front of the checkout stand and like always long lines NOT ENOUGH CASHIERS! the worst walmart to come to if you need electronics, beauty products, or razors. they lock everything with good reason. the problem....nobody is ever there to open the case for you. some how nobody knows who has the keys to open the cases and takes them 30 min to get someone with the keys to help. they need a better strategy to being able to help people. read more

Auto center is a joke, claimed that the bolt on my oil cannister was too tight and declined my car. Waited a whole 2 hrs for them to decide to reject it, what a waste of morning. Went down the street to Jiffy Lube and they removed it no hassle or problem, they even showed me how simple it was. read more

So pleased to be able to say I have seen a big improvement in the appearance of this Walmart location in just the past month or so. Previously dirty and disorganized, someone with authority must have come in and required them to clean up. The area where returns are handled is now properly staffed and clean. I understand they are required to keep all the returned merchandise put back in stock right away; not allow it to pile up on shelves and in carts. Seems to be a number of workers in the aisles now... stocking and tidying up. Would love to do some mystery shopping for the company and see if they have found a way to get there employees to acknowledge customers in all areas of the store and give a brief inquiry like "Need help finding anything?" Some do that, but most of the time customers have to ask for help. Looks like they are trying to keep better track of inventory, too. A staff member told me earlier this summer that they are not allowed to order anything because the computer inventory system is suppose to handle all ordering. Found that the portable closet I wanted was out of stock at this store (as well as Rialto and Rancho Cucamonga) for two months! By the time it was back on the shelves, I had purchased it from another company. Not such an efficient system! I too had issues with the Walmart.com desk in the Fontana store. No one at the desk so I pushed the button to summon someone. I could hear the voices of at least 3 employees in the back laughing and talking but no one came out to assist me with my order pickup. Finally, I pushed the swinging door opened and called out that I needed help...then someone came out. I have complained 3 times this summer about the litter in the parking lot. Once to a zone supervisor and twice to managers of the day. The first person stated that the lot is cleaned by a street sweeper at night. I pointed out that the biggest problem was with the areas where the shopping carts are parked. There are always used food wrappers and drink cups, dirty disposable diapers, product packaging, etc. in these areas which would not be accessible to a street sweeper. At this time, that problem persists. I realize that the customer base at this store location is the biggest challenge. Many do not supervise their children, don't pay attention or don't care about discarding the refuse on the ground instead of the proper bins. It might help a little to place refuse bins in the area of the cart stalls in addition to the ones already available at the doors. Keep working on keeping things maintained so this store will not be called "ghetto" and "filthy". It will take constant focus. read more

Auto Center - I had previously received OK service when I rolled my own spare tire in and needed a valve stem, so I thought I'd be OK going back. I was wrong! I drove my truck in today and got in line at the auto center. After a few minutes a young man comes out and asks what I need. I explain to him that I need a new valve stem core. When I removed the compressor hose from putting air in, it continued to leak air out. A simple fix, trust me. So he tells me to pull up to the "tire" roll up door. After a couple of minutes his "manager" comes towards me and says "No we don't work on duallys". I ask for clarification, and state to him that I don't need my truck lifted or jacked up or anything, its just the tiny little core inside the valve stem that is sticky and needs replacing. He repeats himself "we don't work on duallys" and adds "there are cameras in the shop and we can lose our job". I find this to be ridiculous. So I add, what if I take the tire off my truck and roll it up to you, then will you look at my valve stem? He says "maybe". I was done. I couldn't believe it. It then took them several minutes to find the keys to the car that was blocking my exit. I drove down to Big O Tires on Archibald and 8th and WOW what a difference!!! My new friend Paul took care of the valve stem issue in less than 10 minutes. He was down on his hands and knees removing and replacing the valve stem core, then he brought the air pressure to the recommended level and guess what he charged me.... A handshake!!!! I'll tell you what, when my dually needs 6 new tires it wont be cheap! You know where I'll be taking my business!! It is refreshing to see that some customer service still exists in this world. You just wont find it at Walmart Auto Center! Steer clear my friends! and go see Big-O-Tires instead! :-) read more

I am extremely mad this place deserves no stars worst service ever! I personally went back into aisles looking for an outfit like the one I wanted to buy because it wasn't ringing up because none of their associates could come and help to do that, just so that a manager named marisol to try and tell me she couldn't sell it to me because it wasn't in the system after I waited 20 min then the teller processed the transaction 3 FUCKING TIMES onto my credit card didn't even receive an apology from none no wonder they work there most likely wouldn't get hired else where with that service. read more

I never know why I even bother and go to Walmart. They literally have the worst customer service, their tire and lube department is a mess. I would rather drive to Target than go to Walmart because it is just so terrible. I swear I have taken my car for an oil change at least three times and they never call me to tell me my car is ready and sometimes I even question if they actually do the oil change. They claim they vacuum your car or check your lights and I bet it is all lies. I never want to step my foot in a Walmart again. They are the WORST business in the industry. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Very POOR customer service. A 20 minute wait just for the manager, MARIA, to come out of the back office to approve/disapprove a transaction. When I had asked for a discount on an item that was clearly opened and not in its original packaging, the manager had the nerve to say,"then I wouldn't buy it." Really? What kind of customer service is that?! Then I asked if I purchased the item, will they give me a hard time should I need to return it if it didn't fit properly. With an attitude, the manager tells me, just have your receipt and it's fine. I left very dissapointed. Not only is the store dirty, disorganized and lacked customer service, but the management showed very poor leadership and very poor customer service! This Walmart is the worst store I've ever been to in regards of the tires department. I've been waiting next to their sign that was posted to "wait here for assistance" and some man saw me and didn't even say anything. He looks like a manager for he has a different shirt on comparing to the rest of the guys I saw in their shop. I went inside after 15 minutes of standing there and a short young lady didn't even ask if I need help. She just walked around the cashier counter and walked back to the main floor and was talking to another employee. I had to ask her if someone could help me for my tires and she just looked at me like I can't read the sign outside that says wait here for assistance. Overall, it took me a little over half an hour of standing outside my car that this nice young guy finally asked me if I need help(he was parking a car that they worked on earlier). He showed me where to go and guess who helped me inside? Their manager I believed(that saw me earlier). He asked for my tire size, did not apologize for the wait, and just said we don't have that size. Than I asked is theres another Walmart that has it, and he said no, Walmart doesn't have that size. WTH!! I got my tires before from the Walmart in Covina, so they do carry it. It's either he doesn't want to work on my car cause it's an hour before they close, which it doesn't make sense cause his not the one getting dirty fixing it, or his just an "S" that he had a bad day and lucky me I had to be there to ruin his day more. It was just an awkward and horrible experience. I had a flat tire and I just need a new tire. We all want to go home, so just be nice and we'll all be happy together!! read more

over all I like this store very much. my only disappointment is the electronic dept. my husband & I were shopping for laptops. there was one HP we wanted to check out first before purchasing. the store didn't have anything to show us that's out of the box. how could we decide to buy something like a computer with out seeing the real thing first? so frustrated :( read more

I purchased my tires and a tire maintenance package from Walmart in Pico Rivera. A few months ago I moved to Fontana and have been coming to this Walmart for my maintenances. Every time has been a pleasant visit until today. I was greeted by the rudest red haired hag who had no personality and was rude from the get go. After she signed in my car with an attitude I asked what the estimate time for my car would be in which she rudely responded that Walmart never gives estimate times. I reminded her how many times I've been there and that every time they have. She called her supervisor Pablo out to which he gave the same ride response and that's when I unleashed the beast on both of them. Called the store manager out and gave him a barrage of tirades on the rudeness of the two associates in their tire lube express center. Needless to say I will NEVER return to this store for my shopping needs and definitely not for my automotive needs. I hope this tire lube express continues to lose business and eventually closes. I frequent Walmart stores in various cities. There are significant differences in them. The Fontana store often have cashiers and representative that are apathetic to help me or just rude. The store is often in disarray or out of stock with items. Employee friendliness makes all of the difference and I will travel to another city to get it. read more

I been going to the Walmart in Fontana for a while, because it is convinient for me. Today was the last time they will get a cent from me. Went there with four kids and of course they needed to use the restroom. Look for the restroom and when I finally found it a guy was cleaning. I asked to let the children use the restroom. He refused to step out and stop his activity for even a minute. Asked to use the men restroom of course he refused. When I asked how much longer he would clean he answered I don't know and turned his back towards me. Then I went to the money gram counter to pay my account off. When I asked if I could get a statement that the account is paid off the lady (Hispanic long gray hair) stated I can give you a receipt for the payment. I repeated my request and suggested maybe an email. Her response I can give you a receipt lady. " Next she turned to her co-worker stated "I don't know what this one is talking about." My response to her was "I am not stupid I know what you said." Took the receipt and went to customer service to complain. A lady with the name of Aracely came and listened what I had to say. No written report or suggestion how to continue with my concerns. I told her that I will write a report. Oh by the way she asked if my children want to use the restroom now, which was not necessary any longer because we already had accidents. If I could give a 0 I would. Stop acting like everyone that shops at Walmart is a certain kind of person. Still upset hours later. read more

It is apparent that some of the last posts were written by racist people. Contrary to this, Fontana Wal-Mart is one of the best Wal-Mart's around! The clerks are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The store is clean and well organized. This Wal-Mart has a peaceful atmosphere, not noisy at all. The people who shop here are also good customers. I love the Fontana Wal-Mart, and when I go to others, I always want to come back to this one because it is a very nice place to shop. We are in California, and it is a bilingual state due to its rich history which is of Spanish/Mexican origin. Unfortunately some people do not even know the history of the country that they live in, and therefore don't appreciate the diversity that comes with it. Some people prefer to be ignorant so they can continue to think they are better than others. Our county was founded on Native American Indian soil, and that heritage has also been whitewashed. Then slavery was allowed for many centuries and when it was finally abolished, discrimination was still great until Martin Luther King stood up for his people so they would be respected and treated with the dignity they deserved. Well today I am standing up for the rich Hispanic heritage that is part of our US country! Unfortunately ignorance is so great that some people don't even know the history of the country they live in and have a limited world perspective to foster their bigotry and hatred. They translate any difference into a negative experience, versus a rich heritage, that can enlighten the soul. Go to any educated European country and you will meet people that speak many languages in an advanced society where speaking many language is considered an asset. The reason why people can speak more than one language is that there is a lot of value and worth in being able to communicate with many people. Some people can't stand it when people are proud of their heritage, and when they know more than one language. Some people are proud of their roots and their rich history. Being bilingual is a sign of enlightenment and understanding of the world that enables humans to communicate with more people! At Wal-Mart signs are in English, and when they are translated, this is a good sign, not bad. Wal-Mart speaks English, and if there are bilingual clerks, this is also a good sign because Wal-Mart is sensitive to its rich US heritage and the diverse community it serves! Therefore, I am very proud to recommend Fontana Wal-Mart and all other Wal-Mart stores because they are here to serve our community, not only with great prices but one of the best customer services around!!! read more
