Just went in to purchase some jewelry... Waited at the jewelry counter for 15min and no one ever came by. Finally a lady was walking by the counter so my fiancé asked if there was anyone available to help us and she abruptly stated, "on lunch. Can't help you." My fiancé said "no problem, but could you just radio someone to come help us?" And she said, rudely, "no, I'm on lunch and I'm not supposed to work on my lunch." Then she started yelling for some guy named Javier several aisles away, but he did not hear her, apparently, and she just walked away toward the McDonald's... Wish I had gotten her name, but at that point my fiancé was fed up and we just left. This type of non-existent customer service should be unacceptable. Guess we should just stick to jewelers and legit jewelry stores... Three times as much money, but at least they ACT like they want your business. :-P read more

Went into this store to simply buy a can of spray paint for a home project but found that it wasn't going to be simple in any way. After waiting for over 20 minutes (pressing the service button every 5 minutes or so) I found an employee in another dept and asked if she could have them send someone to the hardware dept to unlock the case and sell me a can of spray paint. She came back and told me they had already sent someone to help me several times so I waited another 5 minutes before leaving, promising myself I wouldn't be back. On the way home I decided to try the Rialto Walmart, hoping to get better service and because I really wanted to finish my project. I had the same problem for about the same length of time but this time I was joined by 2 other gentleman also hoping to buy spray paint. We all left empty handed and disgusted by the lack of salespeople available to help us. This wouldn't have happened at a smaller locally owned hardware store which is exactly where I'm going next. read more

Arrived at this Walmart just after 6 p.m. It was horrible. There were 4 registers open with approximately 10 customers in each line. There was no Management or Leadership present. There wasn't one call on the loudspeakers asking for assistance. While shopping we saw 6 employees on the sale floor not including Electronics. These folks were straightening shelves. Also there were pallets of merchandise in the middle of aisles without any employees around, makes it tough to shop that aisle, losing sales? After 25 minutes we were done. They had opened the registers where customers scan the items themselves. Even with these open there were still 7-8 customers in each line, totally unacceptable. Also, why does this Walmart close the Garden Shop at 6 p.m.? It's light outside for another hour +. Bottom line, this particular Walmart is poorly managed. This walmart is not as bad as some say. Others are much worse. This one is not clean but not disgusting either. There are some aisles that are just a wreck though. The products are on the floor and the things are all over the place.The book sections is horrible! There books are understocked and the magazines are all over the place. The only place that is decent here is the auto section. There, everything is clean and in order, as is the fitness and sporting goods, but sporting goods is a bit more mixed. parking is ok but a bit dirty. My wife got a flat tire this early evening; she happened to be in the area and came into the Walmart auto shop. The two auto techs told her they will check the flat stating it will be $10 to plug seal it. After checking it they told her the tack in it was to big and the plug would not cover. Said they could put on the spare or check for a price on a Good year tire. My wife asked if they carried Continental tires they replied no. So she asked to have the spare put on. They did and told her "sorry we couldn't meet your needs" Walmart didn't charge her. She was happy for their service and courtesy. read more

This is my first time visiting this Walmart and the first time taking my elderly parents shopping since my father gave up his drivers license. Every employee asked if we needed help and I'm sure they saw the look on my fathers face getting help from me. Thanks to all 3 employees that went out of their way to ask if we needed assistance. Never have I had such horrible customer service. I went there to print some pictures, and when I came back an hour later, there was NO ONE working at the photo center and apparently, no one knew how to give people their printed pictures and handle the cash register. There were 7 people in front of me and I ended up waiting an hour to pay for my damn photos and pick em up. Within the hour, I hunted for any employee I could find and complained that there was NO ONE that seemed to know how to work the photo center. They all asked this one guy to help us and he pretended to care and went towards the photocenter, only to find someone else that needed help for a little thing. Always crowded, always a mess, never enough cashiers, and staff that is not helpful in the slightest, the parking is not enough. I just left electronics and had THE WORST customer service EVER. I was waiting at the register, the employee was working with the I Pods.... Maybe doing inventory, the employee Susie never acknowledged me or called anyone over to assist me. So I started to walk away as I was walking away she actually stop what she was doing and helped a customer and rang up their purchase at the register I was standing at a few seconds prior! Went there for 2 new tires. Took almost 2 hours for them to even start my car. Another hour and a half finally finished but the computers were down and they paged a manager and nobody would show I had to go hint the manager down as she was having personal conversation with another employee. Dirty store, the employees that walk the store and work the sales floor are rude, I have a horrible feeling at night in that parking lot and I won't take my kids with me to this store. Also, had a horrible experience last Christmas 2013 in electronics. They had ONE employee, with about 40-50 customers walking around looking for people to open cases to get games out to purchase for gifts, looking for help with TVs, waiting to check out, it was a complete chaotic mess. And when I went to find management, you could sense the stress from the manager and could tell she hardly deals with customers on a daily basis. It just didn't seem she had much experience in high-stress situations and didn't deal very well. I will say I have had a nice cashier here and there, and the female cashier in auto is helpful. Other than that, I'm sorry I can't give anything over 1 star due to the condition of the store. It's just getting worse and worse. read more

This store is a HOT MESS! Since I am on a fixed income and live in Fontana I have no choice but to shop here. It astonishes me how there are Walmarts n the neighboring cities that are so much better. They are clean, well stocked and the associates are helpful and friendly. You won't find any of those attributes at the Fontana walmart. We. are a city of 200,000 people and this is what we get??? If it were possible i would give 0 stars because they dont even deserve a star. I experinced the WORST customer service ever at this store on Saturday. After my experince i regret even ordering something online last week. I went to the store on April 4,2015 to buy a bucker of paint and as i scanned it on the self check-out register the paint spilled everywhere! all over the register, my shirt, and hands. The guy forgot to close the lid! Unbelievable! and on top of that the employess were more concerned about the machine than me! I had to ask them to give me paper to clean myself! im standing there like a idot full of paint while they all squirm around the machine. The manager was just as bad as the employess I didnt even get a simple apology. And yet she had the nerve to ask me if i wanted another bucket of paint? ABSOUTELY NOT! I went into the store just to use the ATM because the one outside was being services. The ATM was out of order and the workers told me it's been like this for months. They then advice me to do a transaction and get cash back. There was only 2 regular lines open, 2 "15 items out less" lines open and 2 " self services" lines open but 1 was cash only and the other was ATM only. On a holiday weekend. I used the ATM only and try that cash back and it didn't dispense. The cashier rolled her neck and called me stupid. I got very upset and wanted to speak to a manager but she refused to get one. She paid me my money and I left. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CALL A NAME BY AN EMPLOYEE. I will never go back to this dirty and rude store again. read more

This should be your last resort for any last minute items. whenever i absolutely positively have no other choice I cringe and shake and sadly run in and out as fast as i can. be quick on your toes to avoid the dreaded pallet jack monsters that will not stop for anything. The rude, too much makeup wearing, zombie shoppers that will bump you with a cart if your in the way. Then you must head to the line with 15 people in it and a cashier who cant scan an item and is oblivious to the massive line. We drove to Fontana Walmart after going to Ontario, upland and Rancho walmart. The website said they were open until midnight and had numerous tvs for sale. They closed at 11pm. I don't normally go to wal-Mart but on this particular day, my mother and sister asked me to tag along. We went in an, as soon as we walked in it was crowded. The check cashing line was blocking the door. That made it difficult to even take a cart. We went around picking our items that we needed for our house hold. We had decided to pick up some water balloons for the kiddos. We walked around the store for while an didn't seem to come across any water balloons. We asked an associate (a Hispanic man in his 40s with a pinky ring) if he could point us in the correct direction. He pointed in a random direction an said some were in the kids area in a very rude tone. The three of were all in shock that he was that rude. We continued to select our final items. Then an older women named Leticia whom I'm guessing was in a rush pushes my sister an her basket out of her way, and continues to the McDonalds located in Wal-Mart. By this time we were all done with the store by this point. We get to the register and thankfully Alejandra. A cashier greetings us with a warm smile & a positive attitude. People here are so rude! I was waiting for someone at the fabric department. A nice man was also there. He asked a few workers if they could get someone to the department so we could get our fabric cut. The first woman replied 'I don't work this department, you can go over there and get someone' in the rudest voice.
