Havnt left a store this angry in a long time. No wonder Amazon is pummeling Walmart. The RUDE guy in the electronics department wouldn't match a 5$ price difference in the Walmart website (sold by Walmart same location lol) and said "online is always cheaper. So buy it online we don't price match!" I went to customer service and they wanted me to go back and deal with the rude A$$ that thinks he can talk any which way he'd like to people and tell him that customer service said it's ok. I think not. I'll buy it on Amazon for more money just to not have to be in that run down heap of a store for one more minute. Me. Don't like the store at all!!! It was dirty, crowded, too cluttered. The check out lines were awful; definitely not enough cashiers. I was in the line over 20 minutes - unacceptable!! The shopping center it was in has awful parking also so I was annoyed before I even walked into the store. The prices were good but I'm not sure worth the hassle. This place is terrible. I placed an order for a few items online literally hours ago. My husband went to the store to pick it up when he got off of work (11 hour shift). No one is in the back. He waits 5 minutes after calling someone and someone else who was also waiting goes on a hunt for an employee. 5 minutes later they return. My order hasn't been pulled. In fact, NO ONE's order was pulled because apparently there was no one back there ALL DAY LONG to even check the orders that came through. This has happened way too many times. I will not be shopping here any longer. They have been around long enough to get their sh*t together. I dont understand what the issue is really. read more

This location is closest to my home. The nail salon is amazing but the actual store leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the cashiers are unprofessional and act like it hurts to say thank you or crack a smile. The register is dirty, the store is dirty and many of the specialty items like crafts are not replenished and sit empty for months. The Manager of the store was not apologetic at all. When it is brought to his attention how rude the cashier is and how the store is not sanitary, he said nothing. For a quick purchase or to save money on a specific item, this Walmart is great! This place is the ghettoist Wal-mart around. Merchandise is ripped open, especially the video games. They are opened up with sometimes no games in them! They are just carelessly thrown in huge "discount" bins.This store feels shady. Went here around Christmas time 2007 and there are alot of security present--only at the entrance/exit. What about the rest of the store while low lives open up items and steal? On our way out the store the one small item we had beeped at the exit and we kept walking because every other walmart isnt like fort knox at the entrance and no one ever says anything.. This store is has got to be the worst Walmart I've ever been to, I needed to pick up nicotine gum but wasn't able to purchase without the help of Someone with a key( this is the only store I've seen they lock it up) I approached the asst manager who was bs ing with other employees and she said she would page someone 5 min later zero, I then walked back to where the asst manager was still having a chat and asked how much longer I had to wait? I would give it one star if I could. I have been calling the store for days with no answer at all. Yesterday I called on and off for a few hours nobody ever answered the phone. I tried every extension. I called from multiple phones at once. I would wait on hold until the phone disconnected me. So either they just don't answer the phone there or the store is permanently closed. I already reported them to corporate. Terrible customer service. The store is always filthy and completely disorganized. Shopping carts are left in every parking spot. Every time I go through the check out It always takes at least 20 minutes, no matter if there is 1 person ahead of me, or god forbid several. A very annoying detail about this store: the isles are very narrow, yet they still feel the need to put giant display palate's in the middle of the isle. It makes navigating this store nearly impossible, especially when there is a family with 6 kids running around their shopping cart (which is common here). This leads me to my next point. I have never been to keen on shopping at Wal-Mart, honestly, I am more of a Target shopper (even though after all the credit situation I haven't been) but this Wal-Mart in particular is the closest to my house. The only time I come here is when I am accompanying someone. I absolutely despise this store location. The customer service here is nonexistent and no one picks up the phone. Its also very hard to find someone to help you. The store is always a mess and overpopulated. Its difficult to find anything, because the merchandise is scattered all over where it doesn't belong. Then, once you do find what you need and get on line for check out, you wait for about 20 minutes to then be greeted by a not so friendly associate. Yeah. I get it. Its Wal Mart. This place makes me wish for Target. The only reason I go to this place is its much closer than Target when I happen to be out East, and I don't feel like schlepping even further out. They have the usual assortment of EVERYTHING at decent prices, which I suppose is a good enough reason to go there, but the place is kind of a maze - the aisles don't always follow the same arrangements either. They do seem to have a good selection of discount/clearance items, but sometimes finding where they're put is a guessing game. This particular Wal Mart has a somewhat decent selection of Hispanic food items, which is one reason I will go to this store. Its kind of sad that I can find more Spanish food here than in the supermarket right across the parking lot, but I guess that's just the way it is. So any time I need a cheap can of chipotles or a squeeze bottle of sweetened condensed milk or dulce de leche I'll come here. I don't know if every WalMart is like this, but it seems like you need to walk 1000 miles to get to a price checker, assuming you happen to know where to find one. Seriously, its like a freakin' easter egg hunt trying to get to them, and then you need to pray that the damn thing is working. You'll know its working when you scan a bar code and you ear an ear piercing screech from the machine. We've all seen the people of WalMart site (and if you haven't then please stop reading this and go there) but being in a WalMart is... OK, its exactly what you would think its like after going to that site. Its definitely an interesting place to go people watching. For a time I was wondering if there was a club in the place since there seemed to be a lot of women with a lot of makeup who squeezed themselves into their tightest/skimpiest outfits just to shop at Wal Mart. I get that people want to look good, but Wal Mart doesn't seem like the kind of place to go in tube tops and Daisy Dukes. Another thing is the kids - something about Wal Mart seems to bring out a child's inner asshole. (then again, I think it may be a general Wal Mart effect) Look, kids are kids, but I've seen kids beating the hell out of each other with car parts, slamming their fists into their parents, and screaming at the top of their lungs as though they were being flayed with a rusty knife. Go to Target and listen - sure there's the occasional kid crying and occasional misbehaving, but at Wal Mart its like Fox is filming "When Kids Attack". And the registers... oh my god, what a f***ing nightmare. They have a TON of registers, but at any given time it seems like they only have 3-5 people working on them, so you wind up with STUPID long lines. This wouldn't be so bad if they spread the 3-5 people horizontally across, but NO, they stacked them so as you think you're on one line for one register you're actually on one line for two registers where nobody can tell when to go up to the far register. At one point the cashier across from me started shouting "SUH! SUH" - I didn't know she was speaking to me because she was looking away from me, possibly into space. Anyway, apparently I was next in line for the register way down yonder - the way she was yelling at me you'd think I was holding the line up, but NO, there was a person there who was just STARTING to check out. I immediately jumped out of my car and ran over there now he already knows I'm so when he saw me he just RAN for his life like a fucking Kenyan! I waked up to the women in the Benz and she was in tears hysterical crying. I asked her if she was alright she said she'll be ok and thanked me. I locked my car and since I had a picture of him while he was walking away from my car and as you can see he kept turning around to check if I was behind him lol well I went into Walmart and told them about it and gave them the picture via email. If your around this area look out for this guy. There's no way he's just trying to beg for money he's tryin to do something else and I fucked it up for him. I have a feeling he's dangerous. He could have stood a foot or two away from the window and asked for money but he did that instead. Be mindful over in this area. Walmart said they were calling the cops and I didn't want to stick around to talk to the police. But they have his picture and they said my car and hers was by the camera so they are gonna pull the video. Crazy shit! It's very possible he had a weapon in his hand or pocket cause he had his fists closed the entire time you could easily hid a small knife or a razor in your close hand. That's a fact. Hopefully they grab this guy up. But just incase be careful around here. Stay in site of people leave your windows closed till you get out of the parking lot go from the store directly to your car do not stop and do anything. It be best to have someone with you as well. Most other people wouldn't have that type of reaction I have and you'd been hurt /robbed. I was more scare for that women then for myself. She was a tiny little thing maybe in her late 50s. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't wait and watch him. But no one else was around he'd have gotten away with whatever he planned to do and she'd have been hurt killed robbed whatever he was gonna do. Keep this all in mind if you come to any of the stores in this shopping center if you know the area then you know there's a lot of stores here and a Chinese buffet. Customers here are extremely rude and disruptive and management is extremely authoritarian and unprofessional. Management mistreats their employees and constantly fires people left and right and then rehires those same fired employees out of regret. Sylvia, Xavier, Donna, and Anthony (AP) are excellent examples of how NOT to run a store and how NOT to treat other associates, as all 4 of these managers are extremely abusive, disrespectful and unprofessional to other associates as they yell at, scream at, insult, and threaten other associates. These 4 managers are extremely childish and clearly let their position get to their head, and it definitely shows through the way they mistreat people and shows through their authoritarianism. Most of the employees here don't even like any of these 4 managers I brought up. Xavier and Donna are also the two most lazy managers I've ever worked with in this store as well, but then again, what can I expect from two fat fucks who are the size of a fucking elephant that waddle around the store and do nothing? read more

I wish I could've given this store 0 stars. They are very unprofessional, especially a manager named Rhonda who is rude. My husband went to pick a holiday item which the email stated we had until Nov. 22nd to get. Once he got to the pick up tower it was stated the item was returned. How can an item be returned prior to the last pick up date?! This is where Rhonda who is suppose to help the situation, escalates it. Instead of being professional she states "well, why did you wait until the last minute?". I'm on the phone listening as all of this transpires and I couldn't believe this is how customers are treated at this location. I love Walmart but I'm going to have to rethink spending my money here because if they can't train their employees to have respect for the customers, especially when it's not their fault, then why spend my hard earned money there?! read more

I can understand why this store is getting two-star reviews. I have called the store many times and after 40 minutes of being on hold and with transfers that ring endlessly (to "site to store" department) just to confirm that I can pick up my order that is marked "delivered" by FedEx. Literally no one picks up at Site to Store for 40 minutes and the main number for the store rings endlessly or transfers you right back to the Site to Store area. They keep sending you back to a line that isn't going to be picked up for whatever reason. I had to call the main Wal Mart number to get them to call the store. It was 15 minutes and counting before getting through to the right person. Ridiculous. When I got through they told me that the items were logged into the system 1/2 hour ago -- and I should have received an email. Well, no email was received. WalMart has a long way to go vs Amazon if they are going to win business. All in all, I would not go out of my way to shop here again. read more

You wouldn't think Wal-Mart for tires but they have a good selection, good prices and they don't kill you in extra charges like tire stores do. No appointment needed and they do a great job. 3/24/2019. I would like post a positive comment, instead of all the negatives I see here. About an hour ago, I was at the checkout. I was using one of your electric scooters. The young man who was at the register went above and beyond!! His name is Jason. He walked around the counter, took my items out of the scooter basket, bagged them and returned them to my basket, all the time being nothing but friendly and a gentleman. I appreciated it more than I can say. Also, around Christmas of 2018, I had a wonderful young lady go out of her way to try to find something in the toy department for me. Last Saturday I went to Walmart Naugatuck, CT to get some gardening items. I also picked up a slat of pansies. I then got in the long line to enter the store (which considering the length of people in line it went quite quickly.) Unfortunately, by the time I got in the store I had decided I didn't want one color of pansy...I wanted two colors. When I went through the check-out line, I explained this to Irene Maselli and asked that she charge me for the full slat, keep half of them and I would pick up the other half color when I left the store. She explained that she had to have the item number from the actual item as it was seasonal and it's not automatically in the system. She then proceeded to get Robert/RJ, who graciously asked Phil to come over to me and walk me out of the store to choose my flowers and walk me back in so I wouldn't have to stand in line again. When we entered back into the store Phil handed me over to Louise who happily checked me out. I have never met that many people in one store that were so kind and helpful and non-judgmental. Come on...all that for 4 six packs of a different color of flower! I know...I know, but I really wanted to change to two colors. When I got out of the store and into the parking lot, I picked up my very heavy mulch and large bags of soil and put them in my cart. I'm a 66, thin female. When I got to my car, I felt like I just couldn't lift them again into the back of my SUV. A young gentleman pulled into the parking space next to me and I swallowed my pride and asked if he could help me. Nick turned out to work for Walmart as well and was going into work. I ordered a TV online for pickup and I ordered that specific one because it said It would be available tonight and I never got a confirmation so I decided to go and see and the wait was long to get help and they couldn't help they said you need the confirmation. I haven't been a frequent Walmart shopper since college but I needed some random items for a bachelorette party so I thought i would give it a try. Got here minutes after the door opened at 7 am and the place was in disarray. Cleaning products scattered throughout the aisles, clothes and shoes out of place and their bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned in days. Several carts were full of miscellaneous items needing to be put away. Some of these packages were still leaking on the floor! This obviously turned me away. Okay, so you walk into a Walmart, you should know what to expect, right? I didn't have high expectations as it was but I was pretty surprised at the employees' complete lack of respect and professionalism. I ordered something online and just wanted to pick it up at the store and be on my way. When you first walk in, there is a customer service desk immediately to the right so I waited on line like a good patron. While I was online I literally saw one employee at the customer service desk say to another, "I don't like your attitude, I'm leaving". And she walked off. So now we're down one person at the customer service desk with a whole bunch of customers still in line (me being one of them). Then it was finally my turn and I told the lady that I was here to pick up an item I had ordered online. She said, "Pick ups are at the back of the store by the orange wall". WHY ARE THERE NO SIGNS INDICATING THIS?? So I begrudgingly walked to the rear of the store in search for this orange wall. I finally found it. Around the corner, I literally saw one male employee giving another female employee and lap dance. Granted, it was in a playful manner, but still doing it right where customers can walk in and see you? Then the person behind the counter looked up my item on the computer and asked another employee who was just sitting there to see if she can please get my item from the back. Her response was, "okay, but if I do, I have to start my break over". What the...? I'm standing right there. I did eventually get my item but it left me a bit worried about the state of this Walmart, how they're screening their employees, and if they're even bothering to listen to their customers (either via Yelp or some other means). read more

Let me preface by saying the prices here are low and the quality is hit or miss. Where they are lacking is in customer service. I just came back (1/3/16) from purchasing items, some of which were Christmas markdowns. The sign read 75% off Christmas Merchandise, so I weeded through the holiday gift wrap and bows. I stumbled upon some Rolos in plastic candy cane packaging. I definitely did not need the candy, but at 75% off, who couldn't resist this sale? My intention was to purchase two of this product. The problem was when I got to the register the candy only rang up 50% off. (originally $2 but registered at $I.) I mentioned to the cashier that this couldn't possibly be the price because all Christmas candy was 75% off. She said, no, that is the price it came up. (Needless to say, she did not know how to calculate percentile without the help of a calculator.) The front end manager was nearby, so he came over. I explained to him all Christmas merchandise was marked 75% off, but this candy only came up 50% off and it should be $.50 and not $1.00. He said, " You could have it for 75 cents, take it or leave it." I tried to explain to him again that 75% of $2 was $.50 and not $.75. He reiterated that no, all the markdowns were made and I can have the candy for $.75. As you can surmise, he must have been a struggling math student in school as well. I refused to buy the candy. It wasn't the fact that I would have had to spend an extra quarter for each product. It was the attitude of the front end manager that took me by surprise. He knew the store was covered with 75% off signs but didn't want to bother doing the extra math. Ironically, I also purchased several identical packages of stickers, some rang up 75% off and others rang up as "item not found". The cashier had to call my friend over again, but this time they decided to converse in Spanish in front of me, as if it were a secret as to what they were discussing. Here's my final advice to you...check all the prices before and during the check-out process and don't expect helpful friendly store associates in the Islandia Walmart. HAPPY NEW YEAR! read more

I wish I could give this place no stars. You can never find anyone to help you. 4 registers open, lines 10 people long, and the assistant manager Roy walking around, snapping his gum. A majority of the people who work here don't know where anything is. They have a nasty attitude when you ask them a question as if it were a privilege to speak to them. They all answer with an eye roll or a "what do you WANT?" All they do is stand in a corner and talk to their coworkers and seem unbothered by the fact that they aren't doing jack. One lady had a major attitude when asked where to find something and I swear I saw days worth of tar on her teeth. Possibly from talking all that crap to their coworkers. Don't even bother acknowledging that they are there to help you. Go to a different Walmart, this one is trash. read more

I was in the store the other day and the smell from over by their hardware department caused me such a migraine. I said something to him about it and he laughed. Your typical Walmart not that bad of a visit had a little trouble finding an item but I asked an employee and they pointed me out in the right direction the store was dirty and even thou I was shown where to go the items were all mix match making the search more annoying.
