Hot girl tip, no one can tell if you bought your lei from Walmart for $10-13 or from another place... for much more Another hot girl tip the boogie boards here are a good buy and when you're done you can gift to another family at the beach if you don't plan on keeping your board or flying home with it. (Same with sand toys) See you at the beach babes!

The Kona WalMart & their famous wall of SPAM .. see photo !! Since World War ll, spam has remained an island staple. It's available everywhere. Even the McDonald's inside this Walmart, SPAM & rice is a featured meal. On the brighter side, the WalMart's in Hawaii have a huge assortment of quality Hula material for those talented enough to sew & craft. They also carry an entire department of Hawaiian based tourist items at prices far below the gift-shops. The 4 star rating is due to WalMart discontinuing their complimentary shuttle bus from the cruise ship dock to the store. This is a serious setback for crew members who need to stock up on personal items & can't afford taxi cab service. This store sits high in the hills above town & has the best unobstructed view of the Kona Coast & Pacific Ocean in all of this beautiful area's landscape.

Huge store, prices were higher then expected. Didn't have any fresh meat. Purchased pool noodles which were under 3$ Got a cool Ozzy Diary of a Madman Funko Pop complete with fake blood for 19.99$ It had rang up for 24.99$ even though there was a tag with the exact description on it for 19.99$ After a brief discussion, we managed to get the 2 of them we had brought up for that price. The register also didn't show any prices, so my 70$+ total went down to under 50$ when I questioned it and items were rung up again ?? This store also sells some souvenir items behind where the McDonalds is located. I found some really nice Hawaii mugs, however the chocolate & nuts were over priced. They also don't accept Apple Pay which would of been convenient.

Walmarts in other states are always so much cooler. This store is massive and was massively busy. We needed to stock up for our stay. The home we were staying at didn't even have a coffee machine. I cant commence a vacation with out coffee. But we also needed snacks and bubbly water and Coke Zero. Some of my favorites I found were as follows: Jars of really delicious Kim-Chi. I even bought some to put in my suit case to take home. Bags and bags of Chicharrons that I've never seen at my Walmart. Salt and vinegar was my favorite flavor. Plain was also great. Great clothes. If you forgot your swim suit come to Walmart. You'll be set. We stocked up on regular breakfast items and other regular snacks like avocados and salami. They had everything we needed. It was so busy here though. So beware of lines and just crowds of people meandering around.

Spacious, well-stocked, organized and clean, this Walmart is practically a Target! And Rudolpho at the front registers is a pleasure to interact with! I never thought I'd say this about a Walmart, but....five stars!

50ish vs 78cents at target !) but they do have cheaper macadamia nuts and water which we were initially here for.

It was a donation from the Benioff's to DOE and it takes a ton of work to do the requests. No one would ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,e ver, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever answer the phone to check stock. I tried to pick it up at the store. I live an hour and 10 minutes away. Order cancelled because, although the website said it was there, it wasn't, so the system cancels but did not notify anyone at Donor's Choose or me. THIS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES, FOUR DRIVES TO KONA AT $40 A POP. I spoke with two floor and one customer service manager and those ding dongs absolutely would not hold the PAID FOR TV until I came to get it because I had already spent $160 of my money, not my school's to pick it up. They just could not figure it out, It took me over an hour to get a store manager to agree to keep his eye out and then put it in his office so it wouldn't get sold. That never happened. It was in the back with all of the other stuff in the back. Luckily, I came back the next day, so $200 in gas. Such a ghetto organization. Shameful how poor the customer service is. It is so embarrasing because people from other places that understand how customer service works come to Kona and get to experience how stupid people are..... And another thing- I never buy food at Target because it is always expired. I happened to pick up a bag of popcorn on sale because I was hungry- Expired again and I didn't notice until half the bag was gone. Target, you should replace your managers and service people. They have failed miserably. No one should have to endure such stupidity. I already cancelled my card and I am boycotting due to your cancellation of Diversity and Equality, but people still gotta know that you are feeding them old, expired food.

It was crazy!! All of these beautiful Polynesian women, of lovely beautiful sizes, were going nuts over these dresses & tops!! Prices range from $25-$50 depending on what style it is. What can this be? What sizes do they have left? I NEED to find something. (Being from these islands and of Polynesian descent, I adore fashion that is inspired by Polynesia, Polynesian cultures, AND of course Polynesian women!) There was HUGE line with women carrying several pieces of beautiful dresses & nice blouses. The racks were pretty bare with only ONE dress style I liked in my size. I wasn't sure how they'd fit though cuz i'm in between sizes. The girl says, "Try 'em on girl!" I love that! The dressing room was just one large community room, which I actually was fine with, going to a highschool where you just don't care about that. I found the size I liked and went to pay. The lady at the ring up station was super nice!!! Like Tutu/Aunty kine nice!! She's actually the designer of this brand. I asked her if she has a store in Kona, she doesn't...yet!!! These dresses were selling FAST, I'll be surprised if they have any inventory for the fair today! She did say, if you ever visit Kona you can contact her and she will set up her wonderful pieces in her garage. Splendid!! Mental note: visit next spring! She DOES have an online site though. Got to talking with her and she actually knows my Grandpa & cousins in Kona!! Small world, big family, what can i say?? If you get a chance, visit her website, the story behind her product is touching! Us Polys, we got curves and we need more people like Tutu Nita to embrace what we got!
