Feels like a prison going to this Walmart. Cameras on every corner and every cash register and shelf checkout. Is that what they think about their customers? What are they going to do next? Have every customer scan their face to go in to the store? Oh wait, they already have a camera in Youre face when you come in. Makes you feel uncomfortable that everyone apparently is a thief to walmart. Prices were also kinda high. Felt like i was in a store in LA. Rather go to find another store. read more

Where do I even begin... I stopped into this Walmart to grab a few necessities for my dog--items that were locked in one of those secured cases. After pressing the assistance button, an employee walking by casually tells me that not all employees have phone access to open the case. Okay... odd, but fine. Moments later, a woman approaches--very nice, friendly energy--but she's holding what looks like a spring-loaded cage contraption in her hand. Naturally, I ask, "What's that?" She laughs it off, and I'm thinking... No seriously, what is that? Once she retrieves the items, she opens this contraption and I notice a lock on top. At this point, I assume she's going to secure the items and walk them to the register for me. Nope. Instead, she locks my items inside the cage, hands it to me, and explains that it's their new anti-theft system. The customer is responsible for carrying it to the register, where the cashier unlocks it and scans the items. I'm sorry--WHAT? I've shopped at Walmarts all over Southern California and beyond, and I have never experienced anything like this. I understand that certain areas may deal with higher theft, but this felt incredibly uncomfortable and honestly embarrassing. I walked through the store feeling like I was being labeled a criminal for simply trying to buy dog supplies. Coming up to Lake Elsinore, I truly did not expect this to be my Walmart experience. On top of that, the store itself could really use some attention. Cleanliness was lacking, and as you can see in the photo below, it was pretty awful. That said, I was able to get what I needed--but the overall experience left a bad taste. This anti-theft method may deter crime, but it also deters customers who want to shop without feeling judged or singled out. Not feeling this Walmart at all. Unfortunately, I won't be rushing back and the prices aren't what they use to be as the value is not there for the quality of the products. Walmart please do better. read more

I'm really blown away. I never shop at Walmart, but looking for something in particular I came in. While I was perusing I decided to pick up a few items. Three of which were from the cooler. I got to the register and they don't take Apple Pay. I apologized to the girl and she said, "That's OK. The cold stuff will be thrown away". I said, "Excuse me?" She said, "We never put cold stuff away. We always write it off and throw it away." I'm sorry, but that is incredibly wasteful!!! There's a reason I don't shop at Walmart. LOTS OF SURVEILLANCE! Central's Walmart has been known for its criminal activity within recent years , ergo staff has cracked down on shoplifters and shady folks. I felt a little nervous as people kept eyeballing me and a few other customers non-stop. I also noticed there were a lot of non-customers in the store as Walmart was conducting interviews. Maybe this was why everyone was either jumpy or drone-like. I think everyone needed to settle down, I know myself nor the other customers were not trying to pull anything! I walked in looking for some Men's sandals to which I found some atrocious "Duck Dynasty" style selections. I was definitely not buying any sandals from here, it was disappointing considering this location used to have better sandals for men. As for highlights, they had amazing pop-culture/movie merch. I spotted a Vorhees baseball jersey for only $25! I was super impressed and wanted it desperately, however I showed restraint. I also noticed a solid variety of Funko Pop! figures and a nice book section. Books weren't too pricey, I thought the value was there. I'd still recommend this Walmart as it's one of my favorites in the IE, it's modern and I love that there's always parking availability. read more

I was conflicted over whether to do a review for Walmart because...well, it's Walmart. I feel like you know what you're getting when you shop at Walmart and at this location it's no different. The parking lot is huge. Parking is never an issue. If you have an electric car, they've got a good amount of faster and normal speed charging stations. Inside they've got some ok restrooms upfront. I was surprised to see a water bottle refill station - but again, it's Walmart - so I'm not touching that machine. They've got digital price displays that look so realistic, you wouldn't notice, but I've seen a few glitching. My issues with this place, which may be universal to the Walmart brand, it's so hard to get help when you need it. Seriously. I've pressed those buttons next to specialty shelves and items...nobody answers them. They light up but nobody pays them any mind. Did I mention they have these paper bags now, with no handles. Who does that? You know how at other stores when there's a long line, workers will come help to bring the line down? Not here. I was standing in line to get a money order and there were 3 workers present, seemingly working to get the line down but as soon as I got to the front of the line, they all disappeared somewhere. I was so frustrated, I just left. Gratefully, I've never had to wait in the regular lines. They've got a ton of self-checkout stands and if you just keep your eyes open, you'll find most people stand in the same line although there are usually a few open ones unattended. read more

The employees at this Walmart really need a refresher on customer service. I have watched and experienced multiple associates walking through the store being rude, dismissive, and acting like customers were in their way. No acknowledgment, no willingness to help, just bad energy overall. This store can do better and treat paying customers better. read more

Apparently there are no managers on duty late Saturday afternoons. We just stood in the return line for 30 minutes while some lady returned everything she's ever bought. The line piled up. We asked a couple of associates to send help. One tall man said he would...he did not. Then another associate told us there was no one else to help out but yet she jumped on a register finally. She had a plethora of keys on her person so if she's in charge, she should know all aspects of the front end. Having worked in retail for a number of years, there should have been a CSM on duty, an assistant manager...somebody. If there was a person managing, he/she needs to be retrained. Bunch of novices running the show. We also needed to purchase a couple of items. The lines were down the aisles. You have these insta cart people making 3-6 different transactions. Give the insta cart folks their own line. Again, there should be employees that can jump on registers temporarily to get the lines down. I did not hear one announcement requesting back-up cashiers. AND I saw numerous employees all over the store. Customers first, restocking second. Figure it out. read more

Absolutely unacceptable! This location only had four check stands open today with lines completely wrapped around the store. There was no sense of urgency to address the people the consumer even the self checkout line was absurd long when you're on your lunch break or you're taking a short moment out of your day to run a quick errand there's no way that you should spend in excess of more than 30 minutes for the handful of items are ordered that I purchased today! Do better!!!! When I ask one of the employees could they see or check with their manager to get more tech stands open she alerted she couldn't move from her area and offered that I go and work those things out. All Walmarts here are self check and no bags (unless you pay for them ..so at least I got to keep the hangers plus I save the environment..win win...that place was EXTRA...so much on sale...great value .....it was HUGE! I had a bad experience with Walmart seller "JIA Home & Living" which did a bait and switch on a portable air conditioner. Instead they sent me a cheap little fan tower. I feel completely ripped off by this seller because Walmart doesn't allow returns for the item I received. Avoid using Walmart for online shopping! Nicest, cleanest, best organized and friendliest employees out of any Walmart I have been to! I was completely mind blown during our quick visit to pick up just a battery, but I got distracted by way too many other things while walking around. I've never had employees come up to me and ask if I needed any help, it's rare anywhere, but it happened twice here! It's nice to know that customer service isn't completely dead. My only issue was that the kid that helped us get our battery didn't know if you all price matched to your online prices which wasn't the biggest deal as it was only a difference of $7 and not worth the time to wait at customer service to ask. read more

Very busy, bathrooms were pretty clean and stocked with TP, soap and paper towels. Chips that are on sale were at the entrance with a new chip to me Taki Kettle Chips (interesting) produce area looked full with vibrant colors. The cashiers are usually friendly. However, on more than one occasion, I was not told the entire store ran out of plastic bags until I was at the check out counter with a cart full of food, probably over $200. Before, I only had a few items and ignored my frustration. Last time, the casher told me no bags. I did not believe her until I looked around. I rebelled and advised she tell the GM it was unacceptable and that is why I left the cart full at the counter. No bags, no customer or $200. This happened alot at another location as well. They make billions a quarter but have dirty parking lots, no bags, carts rusty and dirty, and employees nearly running you over in the isle trying to put out food that is nearly, or totally expired. This Walmart is stupid! We literally had a whole pandemic that changed the world forever and they don't have any self-checkouts that allow more than 15 items. So should I put my entire basket back, select only 15 totems, or just shop at target? I wouldn't have a problem with it, if the cashiers wore gloves and worked at a faster rate. First of all this store is a mess, it was a mess when it was on grape St and it is a mess now that they moved to Central Ave. I came in to purchase a pack of Arlo wireless security cameras, at the store they have this item priced at $335, on the Walmart app exact same item is $290 and they wouldn't match their own online price at the store. I usually don't shop Walmart because of the uneasy feeling when in the parking lot and even in the store. I was happy to shop this new location and have gone a couple of time and been in and out. The horrific crime that happened recently is exactly why I don't shop any Walmart. I had a pickup that has been waiting for me and I needed a couple of things so I reluctantly went to this location. As I pulled into the side parking by the garden I notice a large old relic motor home parked behind the gym but up against the Walmart chain link. Typical and again an uneasy feeling. When I entered the store I noticed a large "Security" presence. When I was done I went to my car and now the motor home has about 3 males shouting loudly with a tv or radio blasting. Classic Walmart! January 6, 2022. I need a battery for my car. I look up a couple local auto parts stores and looked it also on my Walmart app. Walmart had the better deal it was $88. The app even told me what isle to find it on. When I get there, I couldn't find it. One of the Walmart associates helped me by finding it in their warehouse. When I go to check out it rings up at $129! I talked to a manager and they said they could price match it. I thought that was the price. She said that I had to purchase it on-line and then come back and pick it up when the order is ready! This is ridiculous!! This is very inconvenient when I had my day already planned. The manager should have been able to take care of this on the spot. I had the battery in my hands and now I have to order it and come back in 3 hours to pick it up! Ridiculous!! A staff member named Tiff said she would be right back to assist me, but she proceeded to help three new customers who arrived after me. When she started helping the third customer, I asked her why she was ignoring my turn. She replied that she would take care of me as soon as she finished with the third customer. I keep hoping this store will get their act together but of course, they still haven't. Talk about slow checkers and no one will help you if you ask a clerk where something is. If they are not working in that department you are asking about they say "I don't work in that department" and walk away. The other day I went there about 8:00 p.m and got to the check stand and had to wait over 25 minutes in line because the checker was about to fall a sleep and she was so slow. before going to the check stand, I had to ask someone to unlock the battery case so I could get some AA & AAA and they gave them to me. Usually if something is locked up, the clerk will bring it to a check stand. Come on Wally world, get yourself organized and get more checkers on the registers when it is busy. people shouldn't have to wait over 25 minutes in line period. read more

I have recently been having walking issues and needed an electric scooter, so I decided to wait near the front door for the available unit. One of the employees stopped by to see if I was OK. She went above and beyond the call of duty. She went to the next entrance and found one for me. Wished I had gotten a name. Also, as I was shopping, a young employee from San Diego helped me with produce and gave me a suggestion for the Ezekiel bread I got as well. Really appreciated the friendliness.
