May 2021: Crazy busy, but masks are no longer required. All registers are now self-service. When I couldn't find the item I was looking for, customer service said they showed 18 in stock. Upon further investigation, they told me the entire section had been removed from the store without inventory levels being adjusted. NO MASK ENFORCEMENT!! I understand things are rough during covid, and it is possible employees here have been vaccinated. But it clearly states the policy is for EVERYONE in the store to wear masks. While checking out at a self checkout, an employee standing 2 feet from me on in the self pick up area, pulls down his mask to chew his fingernails!!! Then he wanders around the rest of the time I'm hurrying to scan, still less than 6 feet, still mask pulled down. When I look around in the self checkout area, 2 customers do not have their noses covered, and one woman isn't wearing one at all. This used to be the best Walmart in town in my opinion. I use to like Walmart but the place has turned into a zoo with theft police on every corner wanting to check things I just purchased. A very badly run company that has difficulty with organization, technology and customer relationships. There is a reason for the Walmart stereotypes. So far, the worst update at all Walmarts is locking up their merchandise to deter theft and,...sales at the same time. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting electronics department. Never again. Everything is locked up and there is no alert system so you have to wait while other customers cut in with similar problems. Good luck on being noticed by anyone but the security cameras. It took me a half hour to get someone to unlock the case to get a cheap Onn brand memory chip. Both of the associates were busy with people who kept cutting in line. No one else had a key. This is one major reason I shop online and help others by delivering things to their house. Walmart and other traditional retailers are going to extremes in loss prevention that honestly discourage people like me from shopping or even working there. My apologies to the overwhelmed employees in electronics and the front end manager I talked to. Next time I will find more convenient shopping options. I don't like writing reviews like this but enough is enough! Get organized Walmart! read more

Ah, ye olde Papillion Walmart. Whenever I end up here, it's with my good buddy who's always hunting for deep discounts in the toy and video game aisles. As for me, I enjoy tagging along and browsing (and occasionally find a little something to purchase). If you blindfolded me and dropped me in this Walmart, but told me I was at the Walmart in Sheboygan, I'd believe you. That is until I saw the Husker section, which is several yards from the entrance. Beyond that, this is a spot to get all lost shopping at any hour of the day or night. Love or hate them, that's what Walmarts do best. Well being open 24-7, 365 and pretty low-balling prices. No wonder the entire country shops here. read more

I'm not sure when this began to happen. Perhaps with the pandemic as people began to shop for groceries on line. First off I understand people have a job to do and this fact requires them to be in the isles stocking shelves or preparing an on line order. What I don't understand is who trained these individuals in customer service? Again I get they are doing their job but if a customer asks for their help they should not be rude. Or if a customer is standing there after saying "excuse me" waiting for them to move their huge cart so that you can get what you need is not a good experience. I attempted to talk to someone in customer service and was originally told by the "front end manager" that they would not be able yo help me. I went to customer service anyway and he was right. No real help. The "MANAGER" gave me the number to the corporate Walmart and thought maybe someone in marketing could help me. So sad. The customer standing in the store that they drove to, to spend their money at, and probably spend more as the temptation of impulse buying sets in. We are treated wrongly. Now let's see if Walmart associates care what one customer has to say. read more

Okay so, paid for all my items. self checkout. my mistake on that part. I ring up three items on a separate transaction. last thing I do on my shopping trip. didn't go through. was told to go ahead. another worker literally chased me down and accused me of not paying for the rest of my order, not even bothering to check the list that was left behind on the register. I told him my items were payed for and the three left behind were items on a separate transaction that didn't go through. he made me repeat what I said. I said it again, this time losing patience fast. he asked to see my receipt. I showed my receipt. he said okay go. come on Walmart. I know this is expected of a trip to shop there, but can you improve?? this is the second time Ive been chased down by your employees too lazy to check the register. I do t mind showing my receipt on a general day when I'm not being LITERALLY CHASED DOWN AND HOLDING UP CUSTOMER TRAFFIC, but you're lucky one can't sue for false accusations because I fear you'd be going broke. retrain your employees. if I could give negative stars I would. read more

This store doesn't seem to put a priority on customer service at all; at least, not to the in-store customers. I had to repeatedly dodge Walmart employees who were doing the shopping for online shoppers when I visited there tonight. Also, those carts they use for online shoppers are big, and easily block the aisles if the employees aren't mindful of what they're doing. I expect them to put a priority on the shoppers who actually bother to go into the store. I was shopping over by the health and beauty section, where there are two single-cart aisles separated by a set of kiosks, running north to south. A teenage Walmart employee had parked her cart in the aisle I was in so that she could restock one of the kiosks. I approached and reached out and moved her cart 12 inches so that I could go past. She must have been offended because she go snarky and said "you could have just asked". Customer service at this Walmart is horrible. read more

Have to try Walmart for the second time in a row and I have been a faithful shopper there for years I can honestly say I will never step foot in that store again. Last Monday I spent $220 on groceries and I had to check out the entire order myself at 10 AM because they don't staff a single cashier... Only self checkouts are open. This Monday I decided to get an oil change there and was told it would take an hour and a half at the most. That was perfect because I have somewhere to be in two hours. Well... I should've known better. An hour and a half later and $60 worth of mindless shopping went back to get my car and it wasn't even started yet! I returned all $60 of My pointless stuff and laughed. I will never be back Walmart. There are lots of options to spend my hard-earned money and it won't be here. read more

Usually the people here are friendly but today nobody said hello or acknowledged me. The dressing room attendant walked in on me changing when I was in there for only two minutes. Then knocked on the door that she was closing and I said I was getting changed back into my clothes. She she proceeded to say well I can't leave until your done and then knocked on the door again. I get it you want to leave I only had three items and was barely in there for five minutes. I've worked many years in customer service and if you have a customer walk in 30 mins to closing you still help them not continuously pester them!! The checkout cashier just stared at my items after I said hello and then just handed me my receipt. I have no clue what was going on with the workers in Walmart tonight but I wanted to get out of there fast. read more

I shouldn't have to wait in line for almost 20 minutes on a Tuesday early afternoon. Only 4 checkouts open and the lines were 6-8 people deep. Finally added a couple of checkers after 15 minutes of this crazy. Needs to think about customers on their lunch hours trying to get in and out. Especially at Christmas. read more

Rated this visit 5 stars ONLY because Dee, my cashier, was absolutely wonderful!!!! Every time I see her, she's always smiling and in a helpful mood...unlike the other cashiers who try to avoid eye contact when you walk by! There should be NO reason that EVERY employee should not say hello when they walk by a customer....2 thumbs up to Dee for her smile that makes my shopping trip worth it!! read more

I'm probably just like you. I go to walmart, get things myself, and proceed to the check out. A normal day at a retail store. Not too much interaction with the associates. But I had one terrible experience at this walmart. It was a midnight releasing of a video game my husband really wanted. (We normally go to Gamestop for that type of stuff, but they don't do it for all games.) When we arrived there it was 10m before midnight. We were not the only people waiting to purchase the game either. There was about 5 other people waiting to buy the game. However, the closer it approached to midnight, the more I realized there was no one around to get the games for us. I asked one of the associates for the game, and he stated that one person has the keys to access that type of stuff and just left. He didn't even want to help AT ALL. A lady walked by so I asked her and she was a bit more helpful. She went out back to find out the guy with the keys was on break and not on the store's ground. What? The person with the keys for a game that is released at midnight is no where to be found? And there is only one set of keys? What kind of management is that? Me, my husband, and 5 other people waited about 30m-45m to buy this game. It wasn't even worth it. Next time we'll order it thru gamestop and just wait til they open. Its a great thing to advertise turkeys for 40 cents a pound, so when you get to any walmart they tell you their ad is wrong they dont have any for that price. False advertising and they get away with bate and switch. Bad business practices! read more

The super Walmart in Papillion sucks. Many of my older friends in their 70s wanted to walk around the store early in the mornings for exercise. The Walmart Nazis told them them could not walk around the store and told them to leave. Walmart hates senior citizens. Do not do business with Walmart. You will be sorry. read more

I do avoid shopping at Wal-Mart but with my busy schedule it cant be avoided and when I do, I come here, regardless of how far it is. The overnight manager on numerous occasions has gone above and beyond, making walmart, a place where I would least expect quality, no offense, a 5 star experience! This Walmart sucks! They never have a good selection and the employees are rude. I bought a car seat and the guy told me he was too busy and left me to put it in the cart myself when I had my two infants with me. I got no help and was very frustrated. read more

Always clean. Well kept, nice, tidy, organized. The check out lines can keep you waiting, but what walmart doesn't have that? They are 98% well stocked. The produce section looks great every time! Seems as if they keep up with the older stuff and when to remove it etc. Staff are genuinely nice, helpful, asking if you found everything, or need help and ready to assist. I enjoy this walmart. I do not however, enjoy the McDonalds inside. Suggest you not eat there. They had wiped off my almost 2 year old son's cheeseburger, with a rag. The staff in the McDonalds are very rude. And will give you dirty looks. My father in law almost freaked out about the dirty rag being used on the burger. My son did NOT eat the burger by the way. read more

The people are friendly, the store is clean and well stocked, and #1 MOST IMPORTANT POINT: The always have enough open lanes. Terrible. The workers make it terrible. I went in with some friends and we are all about 16 or 17 years old. THE SECOND WE GET THERE we notice some old worker guy following us and kept yelling at us to quit touching things. And as we are just in the store, slowly we notice that we see more and more workers around us. It gets to the point where there's like six or seven workers circling around us like vultures communicating with eachother on their walkie talkies. They were literally pointing at us at times. At that point it was just getting ridiculous and I was just gonna leave of the store. I was irritated. As I'm walking towards the exit of the building, some worker lady busts out from nowhere. And I told her " Im not stealing anything! ". She then makes me empty my pockets and has my friends do the same. And we didn't steal anything so they obviously didn't find anything. And legit after them talking to us for like 5 mintutes another worker says right next to us says " Soo where did you guys ditch the stuff? " As if we didn't just spend 5 whole minutes convincing and proving to them that we didn't steal anything. I understand Walmart employees being concerned about theft but I think they could have handled it better. Instead they made us angry by following us for 15 minutes not saying a word. read more
