Great store. Helpful staff. Found what we needed quickly. Highly recommend. Ok selection, but could use more options for storage.

Just when you think you've visited the worst Walmart in your life in another town.... whaam! , here you arrive at the Walmart in Pecos Texas. Of course pretty much everything in Pecos Texas is overcrowded, run-down and expensive for what they really are. Except for Walmart! You get your standard Walmart prices but you do not have an automotive department, no 24 hours and even longer lines, but you do get to dodge Isles full of inventory that need to be broken down and items put on the shelves. Also, don't let me get started on the 20 plus people deep line because like overcrowded Pecos Texas everybody is trying to pack 10 pounds of crap in a 5lb bag, Walmart is no exception. This is one place that definitely needed to be a super Walmart. I'm going to hate to give this advice to you but the Family Dollar and general dollar down the road put this Walmart to shame. Now that you might have taken this advice, please do me a favor and do not go into these dollar stores until I am done finished and left this piece of a something town. I don't want my favorite places to get overcrowded. Oh, and before I go one more important thing, the parking lot! You think you're from Houston and driving /parking cannot get any worse than those Asians in Bellaire? Yes those people, but these people put the people that Park in Walmart to shame, actually make them look like professionals or something because if you try to come in here with a nice vehicle you can pretty much be assured you will have 6 Vehicles parked around a 4 space to park a lot around you in Every Which Way but Loose. Everything you could possibly want. It's Walmart. The guy at the checkout lane appeared to be the saddest possible human. He scanned my items in cold silence with dead eyes. I would have thought someone with rainbow wristbands would be cheerier. But no. Silent, dead-eyed cashier wants to die. Can't blame him. read more

If a negative 5 stars were an option on yelp, that would be this Walmart's score. It can't get much worse than this. The problem is there aren't any competitors or other shopping alternative for this town. The lines are horrible, customer service is non existent, and the appearance of the store looks like a bomb went off. There is stuff everywhere. Nothing is organized and the store has a horrible smell like it hasn't been cleaned since it was built. read more

Went here to pick a few simple items. WOW the parking is horrible here. The inside is not much better. Wall Mart raised it prices to get maximum profit from men and women trying to make an honest living in the oilfield. Some of the Wal Mart team treat workers badly. A simple Hallmark card was $5.00. Milk was $4.00. Every item is elevated in price. Long lines at every register here. Go as early as possible because afternoons are a mad house. read more

Discriminates, don't come into this store if your a veteran. I understand that during covid alit of stores are requiring people to wear masks, however, due to a medical condition a received during deployments, I cannot wear one. I walk into the store, they offer a mask, I tell them that I cannot wear one. They said "Ok". I get my cart full of items to the checkout however and then they tell me that I cannot check out without one. I tell them that I cannot wear one for medical reasons, and they try to force it upon me anyway. They finally decide to just check me out, and I have to spend 15 minutes in my truck popping meds to try and calm myself before heading back to a job I'm on. read more

Absolutely the worst and probably the tiniest Walmart in the chain. They are overwhelmed. They are the only real store left in Pecos but they haven't enlarged since the oil boom. If you come to Pecos, beware. Bring everything you need, and do tour shopping in Monahans, Midland or Carlsbad. read more

Just wanted to express my displeasure in this Walmart that is in this god forsaken city. (Pecos, Texas) I purchased a xbox one controller last night around 9:18 pm I also bought a lego set 2 packs of gummy bears and a box of zingers. I drove back to work (60 miles away) got back around 10:30-10:40 dint think nothing of my purchases. Went to bed. Woke up and went to go pair my newly purchased Xbox controller to my PC, but when I went to open it I realized the seal had been broken and I opened up the controller and it was a used controller with bite marks and everything on it. I immediately got in my truck drove the 60 miles back to Walmart to return with my receipt. I stood in line for about 25 min. Approached the register and told the customer service manager what happened. She did not Believe me and contacted another lady we opened up the box together and I showed her the marks in the controller and that it was used. We cross referenced the serial numbers on the box and they did not match right there they told me they could not help me they said they were unwilling to return the item. I get it I totally do. But does this make it right that a customer was not only railroaded but turned away? I spoke with the assistant store manager and he said let me see what I can do. He went to the back, I'm assuming in loss prevention and proceeded to check the cameras to see if I even purchased the item. 40 minutes later he returns with another controller and opens the NEW one in front of me and says the controller that was in the box does not even look like the one that is in the box brand new. I told him no kidding, not only that it's used. I told him it is not about the $60 or the controller I was more upset that I was turned away by every manager in the place like it was my fault that this happened to me. They proceeded to tell me they will not be taking the controller back and I said okay but I wanted to let them know they lost a customer FOREVER that includes my sams club membership she proceeded to shrug her should as if to say oh well. The assistant manager went to give me back the used controller and I told him that they can keep it because I didn't know who it belonged to and I was not going to accept that. So I left the ( USED) controller with the managers as well as my receipt. This will be a $60 wash of myself and Walmart. It will be like giving a loan to someone you know and them telling you we will pay you back but never do. But for the low cost of $60 you will NEVER have to deal with that person again. This is the way I feel and this message will be forwarded to Mr. Doug Mcmillion as well. I know I'm only one customer but I was a customer. read more

This is the first Walmart that I have seen that is a mess. Bathrooms are nasty. Store is unorganized. Most and I do mean most of all the employees are rude or don't even try to help you. Customer service line is so long and a couple of cashiers. read more

I've been in some pretty bad wal marts but this one is one of the worst. This place is a disorganized mess, it looks like a Walmart after a Black Friday sale. There is product on the floor, scattered all over the shelves where it doesn't belong and many items don't have prices. If you shop here be prepared to shop off the floor! Need help? Ha! Good luck! Helping customers doesn't seem to be in their job description. I'd rather go to my dentist than shop here! ***UPDATE*** I have never updated a review and NEVER in my wildest dreams would have ever considered giving a wal mart 5 stars but this place has completely turned around!!! The other store didn't have what we needed so we had to reluctantly come to this Walmart. We were completely blown away at the difference from last year! The store was clean and organized with plenty of friendly people running the registers. We complimented them on the improvement of the store, they said they have had a new manager since the last time we were here. read more

Okay, so we're in this town with my fiance' works. I would have to say this is the worlds worst Wal-Mart I have ever been to, there are no more than 2 checkers working at one time and normally 20+ people waiting in line! No one in that store is helpful! We once asked one of the workers there if we could get help in the paint area she looked at us like we were crazy or maybe it was because we're white, but either way she talked down to us and offered no help. read more
