She sat me down right away and asked her coworker, Diane, to bring a cool cloth, which she gently applied to help me feel better. Cheryl asked thoughtful questions and quickly realized I hadn't eaten all day. She offered me a Coke and peanut butter crackers -- I chose the Coke, and within minutes I started to feel more like myself. She stayed right beside me the entire time, making sure I felt safe and supported, while Diane stepped in to complete the mammogram with the same level of professionalism and kindness. He gave me Saint Pete MRI as one of the options. The AI told me X-rays were walk-in only, but I wanted to know if they accepted my insurance and could not get an answer from the AI and live people don't answer their phone. A month goes by and my wing man Gary needed an MRI. His doctor faxed an order, and Saint Pete MRI called Gary with an appointment. Apparently, this is the only way to get service. When I dropped him off I went inside and asked if they accepted my insurance for future reference. The answer: NO. Just as well that they don't accept my insurance, because I would not like to give them my business.

They called the day before to make sure I had my prescription available and to confirm my appointment. Parking here is easy. You have the option of the adjacent garage (free) or valet parking. The checkin process was simple and I only waited about 5 minutes. They have pagers like at a restaurant to notify you when they are ready for your imaging. The attendant who completed my MRI was friendly and informative and eased any concerns I had. She gave me headphones and my choice of Pandora station - 80's! It took about 20 minutes and then I was free to go. They have large lockers where you can keep your belongings while your MRI is being done. Hopefully, I'll never have to go back! But If I do I will absolutely use them again.

My care was abruptly and rudely discontinued when the office manager Pam callously informed me my doctor had written a note stating my neurological problem was under control but that I needed a psychiatrist. I find it hard to believe that the doctor I saw is capable of such behavior because he was very appropriate and kind to me. I don't know why the office manager relayed that information to me but it was very hurtful, upsetting and caused my symptoms to get much worse. I think that she violated the HIPPA law and inflicted unnecessary harsh criticism to a vulnerable elderly woman in poor health. I can't believe any doctor would have someone who is capable of such cruelty working in his office.
