The owner suggested dwarf crested isis, a local low growing perennial with blue-violet spring flowers. Picked up three to plant early in the season. Arcadia Natives nursery is an amazing place that is just a few years young, right outside Washington, PA, in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The plants are mostly hand grown on site by one woman, Kelly Strope, who fell in love with everything native and is providing the bones to recreate an ecosystem to replace our world gone wrong. If the creatures who are integral to our area can't find the food to survive and reproduce, we're in trouble. Kelly has lovingly grown the most beautiful plants you can purchase anywhere in the area. She has also created an easy to use library of downloadable and print ready plant cards for reference, besides an eagerness to answer any questions during your visit about starting or maintaining your gardening experience. Came in early October for one of their fall festival weekends (which run all month long)…read more Definitely not as packed as other pumpkins patches (probably because it's a bit further away than the other ones closer to the city). For $12-$14 you get a hayride up to the top and down when you're done. At the top they include access to the cornmaze, pumpkin patch, and (small) sunflower field with the hayride admission. They even had goats, sheep, pigs, and donkeys up there! It was a long tractor hayride too which was pretty entertaining seeing all the fall decorations. A large pavilion with a lot of shade was available for rest, along with games on the lawn like cornhole and frisbee. They also serve alcohol (beer, sangria, etc) near the pavilion. The sangria was actually super refreshing. 10/10 would recommend coming for one of the fall festivals!

The wrap was filled with fresh vegetables it was yummy. The cheeseburger comes with fresh hot thin French fries that were so yummy. The burger comes with pickles and mustard and ketchup you can ask for them not to put it on. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor was absolutely on point. The Amish market also has a donut shop that is wonderful. Each donut is 2.00 and they are made all day long. Open Thursday thru Saturday. There are cheese and cold cut vendors. Furniture and custom leather belts and hats. They have a place you can purchase dips for fruit and veggies and they make up beautiful trays daily. Homemade stuffed pretzels with everuthing from breakfast items inside them to just cheese. Fresh cup up fruit and veggies. Every kind of prepped salad you CAN think of. Veggies who veggies sliced. Fruit whole fruit sliced. The best place to find goodies for the weekend. Fresh meats to buy and take home and cook. Ready to eat prepped foods to eat there or take home. A shop for spices and wonderful things to use in the kitchen. This place also has a section where you can buy homemade fresh baked cookies cakes pies, breads. So much here to look at. Candy too. We went back to eat and again I had the Egg veggie wrap. It was fabulous. My friend had the breakfast burger. Crazy good.
