Hands-down the DIRTIEST Walmart in Sonoma County. Well there's only two out here... but you get my point. This place is filthy. I live in Rohnert Park and we do not hesitate to take the extra 15 minutes and drive north on 101 to the Walmart in Northern Santa Rosa. It's a lot cleaner and less crowded. The scene at this place on a Saturday afternoon is that of a pre-apocalyptic last ditch effort by the public to salvage all of the cheese puffs, firearms, and cheap wine that they can. HORRID. HORRID. HORRID. The only reason why I am giving them one star is because I failed to get the name of the person that helped me on the phone yesterday. So, yesterday - because everything is last minute with my husband (I do love him, really), I set out to find a small portable gas grill for camping this weekend. I googled and binged and found that WalMart had exactly the one - propane - that we needed. For $35! A steal. Now, honestly - I'm not a fan of giving my hard earned $$ to WalMart and I'd rather go to a local place, but I'm pinching pennies at the moment and for what we were going to use it for it was perfect. Since the store is in Rohnert Park and I live in San Rafael and commute into SF, it was going to be super hard for me to get up there. But fortunately I have a wonderful friend that lives 2 minutes away from WalMart and works right by our house so she was able to do me a huge favor of picking the contraption up. So I called the store and was transferred to the garden department. The young lady that took my call sounded a little inexperienced and I had a slight tinge of apprehension when she said that me giving her the UPC or model number wasn't necessary. But she found the grill and I also had her put two packages of propane - FOR THE GRILL I WAS BUYING - aside for pickup by my friend. I even asked the girl on the phone, "that propane will work with the grill, right?" She said, "Absolutely." Guess what? We got the grill today. It's electric. If I could insert expletives here, I would. And there would be a LOT of them. I'm fuming mad because now, I have to go all the way up to Rohnert Park tonight after commuting home from SF and before driving all the way down to SFO to pick someone up. What a waste of space and time you are WalMart. Train your people or close your stores. P.S. I called to let them know about the little mess-up and was on hold for 11 minutes! So I hung up and called back and the operator said, "Oh, I guess no one picked up". So she transferred me to a cashier in the front of the store - I have no idea what kind of help that would be. And she was not helpful at all, but at this point I was surprised to get through to a live person and had no expectations. Grossest store ever! Took my son into the handicap bathroom stall as lifted up the seat we both discovered blood ALL OVER his hand. Totally mortified & ultra repulsed. I realize they can't always clean the bathroom but even the walls near the paper towels are brown with dirt. When I mentioned the bloody mess to a manager all she said was "oh?" And walked off. Seriously?!?!!?!?! The staff is rude & doesn't even know where items are. Never enough checkers either. This is your pretty typical Walmart store if you know what I mean. The employees are really hit or miss on questions you might have for them. They keep this store pretty well stocked with stuff. If i need something and can wait on it I usually go on to their website and have it delivered free of charge to the store then just pick it up. Shipping is usually pretty fast. I have never had any issues doing this and I have done it about a dozen times. It seems like usually the employees would rather turn and run when they see you coming towards them and start to mouth the words "excuse me, I have a question". The employees that will give you the time of day are pretty friendly and can be helpful when they are new I think once they get a little seniority under their belts they learn the turn and burn technique when they see people coming. Can't complain about the prices at all they are always cheap and they do price matches on products. I think Walmart works best if you know exactly what you want and don't mind looking for it. They have everything pretty well marked so you know where to look. read more

Face mask required at the entryway way. There is a lady sitting in her chair, scrolling through her phone Non-Stop. The exit guy is telling her 5 people leaving! She sits on her phone still, doesn't let anybody in. So the group of customers in line ask a question if three leave are three allowed to go in? Her response no I will let you know when you can go in. Yet she Scrolls down on her cell phone, like the customers are no big deal. She then tells me I am rude and I'm being a jerk when I am just trying to understand her process. I have been a store manager for 15 years and would never put up with the lack of customer service here. I believe she called the gentleman behind me a jerk, and was extremely rude to the family behind me and the gentleman in front of me. This girl needs to understand she is lucky to have a job during this Coronavirus epidemic. I spoke to the manager and told her if it was my store this employee would be spoken to and possibly given a corrective action. I get it that some people have bad days, but as a customer service rep you need to be able to take a step back and make your guests feel comfortable and excited to shop in your store PS we are spending the money. Walking into a Walmart I never expect Immaculate customer service, but I do not expect the exact opposite which is rude, vile, and a snooty attitude. The store is what it is, you don't go to Walmart for great service and atmosphere, you go there to save money. That being said, i have tried order online for store pickup twice, will not do a third. The counter for pickup is way in the back of the store, and is not manned. There is a button to press for service, you can press that sucker 'til the cows come home, no one is coming to help you. So you walk back up to the front of the store, try to find a manager. When you finally find one, they tell you to go back to the back and they will have someone meet you there. Eventually some one appears and you get your stuff. Same scenario both times. Total time to accomplish this was over 20 minutes once and over 30 the other time. This for a one minute prepaid transaction. Lesson learned, if they don't stock it, go somewhere else!!! read more

Went out last night to pick up my son's birthday present at 8 o'clock only to be told that despite the new closing hours of 830 they were stopping to let people in. The people in front were ordered to stop letting them in and the line of demarcation was the person exactly in front of me. I saved for it for months and had him with me. I made a massive scene and asked to speak to the manager who still would not let us in. I made it incredibly difficult for those people to do their jobs and embarrassed myself in front of everybody including my son. With a lunatic in the oval office and a pandemic engulfing the country these people have a tough enough job without people like me, selfish and entitled . They all handled it with grace and dignity and I stomped away like Cartman from South Park . ( talking like him too ) I will call later today and get a hold of Bill the manager that I spoke to you and apologize. Any employees are offended I would like to apologize to them as well. We didn't go to Walmart often now we do. The prices are cheap. The staff are very friendly. We have come to know some of them. We like that it's a one stop shop. Dock one star for the homeless population around there. We have been asked for money multiple times and there are many vehicles and RVs that take up a lot of parking spaces, thankfully they have a large parking lot. read more

Today I got a really good lesson on how horrible Walmart is through and through. This week On Saturday I ordered stuff adding up to around $300 and did that under the promise of getting it with "free 2 day shipping" well... it's Wednesday, I Got a couple of items yesterday and I still have not received most of my stuff. That's not two days. BUT.... I decided that I would let that go. I need a printer (I'm pregnant w 2 small kids) I do not want to go walk around any store. So I decided I would put in an order to go pick up same day. I made sure to only choose items that were in store and available at my local store immediately. So I ordered, payed (another $125) and get an e mail that says "half your order is available Today and the rest will be available the 2nd or 1st" which is 2 or 3 days away. So... I call the store... I spoke to probably 30 people. One would transfer me and then it would ring forever and finally someone from some random area in the store ie the fitting room... and they would tell me to hold... and someone else would pick up and I just kept asking for a manager and that person would say yes and put me on hold and then another person would pick up and say "how can I help you" from another department and I would explain over and over to each different person what was going on and what I needed and no one could help me or find a manager.... for hours. I spent the whole day trying to get a manager. Never got one. Finally I freaked out and a nice guy with absolutely no pull or authority gave me the "corporate" customer service number. I called them... I filed a complaint (I guess) I thought I was getting help w my order but after telling the guy what happened he said "ok I have noted this. Call this number and they can help you" so... I called the number and it was for online orders. The guy "helping" me there basically told me "yes, half your order is ready! You may go pick it up! The rest will be ready on 2-3 days" like he was doing me a favor and solving all of my problems. So... I freaked out. I said that I knew this already and that I needed the printer today not in 3 days because I am trying to buy a house and I need a scanner and printer NOW. He said ok well it will be available to pick up on the 2nd or 3rd.... I then asked for a refund. I said I want my money back into my acct NOW so I can go elsewhere to get what I need. He agreed. Said that it may take 24 hours and I agreed because by this time I am just exhausted. I took a survey and nicely gave him a 5/5 for helping me. We were done... I thought. I checked my e mail and he only refunded 2 of the items and they were the 2 items that were already able to be picked up. NOT the expensive items that were unavailable to be picked up. So, I had to call back. This time I got a man named Jose. I asked Jose to refund the items I ordered and make sure the money goes back to my acct w in 24 hours like the other guy said. Jose proceeded to thrill me he can't do that and it would take 5-7 days. He proceeds say the same thing over and over and not listen to anything I was saying and talking and yelling over me. Now, I am a pretty calm patient person generally. This guy upset me immensely. I asked for a supervisor or manager several, several, several times and he refused, asking me "how am I not helping you!?" "Why do you need anyone else!?" "No I'm not getting you a manger! I can help you with whatever you need." So, I calmed down and asked for his name (Jose) and last name which he would not tell me and I said please just refund the rest of my items and I don't care when it goes through any more. I was defeated. He said fine. Then he said I would be getting a survey via e mail and if I would please give him a good review.... I said FOR SURE! That e mail never came. Lol. Sadly I will never be able to take advantage of the great prices at Walmart any longer because I will not give even one more cent of my money to this corporation. I can't even believe how awful they are to their customers. It was unreal. Today I will be getting A great printer from Target! read more

Can't say I go here often but I've gotten lucky and gone when the "crazy crowds" I've heard about are not there. Really helps to go with someone who knows the store because it's big and in my opinion the lay out is a little odd. Then again some people probably say that about me. I don't shop at Walmart. But I ordered two coolers to make feral kitty houses. I set up to pick up the order at the store. I will never do this again. I had to walk to the very back of the store. I'm disabled so this was a chore. There was no one there. I buzzed several times to get a person (even though I checked in with the app before getting there) Someone finally showed up. I got my order. No help to get it back to my car. I'm hurting now from the hike. Amazon is a much better option. I will never do this again. Plus one of the coolers was dented. At least the cats won't care about that. Oh and don't try giving feedback using their app. It limits the number of chars so you can't say anything of substance. Waste of time. read more

Who doesn't like Walmart. It is what it is. I come here for the good prices and selection on cleaning items (detergent, trash bags, paper products, etc.) and the personal care items (shampoo, deodorant, dental hygiene, etc.) Staff is friendly enough, but the front end is slow. I always duck into the garden department and use the cash registers there. Scott is one of the regular cashiers out there. Very nice guy. Always tries to get his line moving along. read more

I try to avoid the crowds at Wally-World whenever possible. The place can be a crazy zoo...Oops sorry, didn't mean to run into your child's face with my cart. He was running blindly around with a jumbo bottle of hand sanitizer though. Have been going there more recently to stock up on needed baby items....I never thought I'd be quickly scouring Wall-Mart for diaper genie refills, yikes. All and all your typical Wal-Mart. They have a good selection of nursing scrubs, which is hard to find in this area. Also, a pretty extensive garden section. Really hard to call the store and see if they have a certain item. I used the online ordering and pickup yesterday, thinking it would be safer and easier than shopping. Not quite what I hoped for. You have to walk all the way through the store to the far corner to get your items. And then you have to sign electronically with your finger. Not exactly touchless. Fortunately I had gloves. The worst part was on my way out of the store, I saw two employees with their big fat noses hanging out of their masks!! I told one to cover her nose and of course she ignored me. I am not a big fan of Wal-Marts normally, but this one is worse than normal. The store is set up just fine, pricing, and layout fine. I dislike that there is no auto-center. I tried to go get a battery for my car and was shocked to find no auto-center, I've never been to a wal-mart without one. On that occasion I picked up a battery and battery acid spilled on the floor. It took 5 minutes for my to find someone to tell them so it could be cleaned, it should not take that long to find an employee. I also find it ridiculous they check your receipt upon exit. It is WALMART. Why do you need to check a receipt? All it accomplishes is backing up the exit because there are always 10 people trying to leave at the same time and there is only one person to check receipts. read more

Not the store but the call center customer service. Ordered a Playstation 5 online for my kids birthday and received a 3 week shipping date. Checked back next day to verify order and saw other units ship in 1 week. Canceled first order and reordered, this is where the craziness started. On reorder it was canceled by Walmart.com due to fraudulent detection, reached out to customer service. Call was "dropped" twice with no call back and finally was told nothing they could do but wait for an hour to reorder. Told representative that PS5's sell out quick and was not happy. Waited the hour and reordered again with earlier shipping date again. Thought all was well when I went to bed. Woke up to an email your order has been canceled due to quantity limits. Again reached out to customer service and after being transferred 3 times, the representative then tells me it's due to TOS violation but refused to tell me how or what. He also started asking to verify my online account and if anyone else at address. Then also refused to give anymore information other than repeating this line. I asked what will happen if I reorder again, was told you can't. After call over, went to account for Walmart.com and now account closed (locked out). Good bye Walmart.com and your stores, your in ability to have a call center or representative that can help to get resolutions for customers is horrific in this time of online shopping. Years ago, I used to love this store. This store has gone down hill. I don't feel like they care for their customers. They have gotten rid of the products. I could only find in their store. When ever I would come in to shop for a product. They would be out of a product most of the time. They do a horrible job of stocking their merchandise. Their clothes have gone down hill too. I used to be able to find 100 cotton tops in the plus size, that where adorable. Now, it's mostly polyester..when ever I would complain. They didn't seem to care about my complaint. read more

I usually don't have any problems but this store is poorly organized and has some rude customer service. I ordered an item for my step daughter's birthday online and had it to be for pick up at the store since delivery would take longer for me to receive the item to be delivered to my home. Once we got to the store, there was a huge line of guests forming at the entrance. Now luckily, we thought that since my item was already paid for it and was only to be picked up there wasn't any issues. My SO asked one of the employees at the front in charge of the flow of the line, if it's possible to just pick up an item to be picked up since that what we ordered to be able to get in and get out since we weren't there to shop at all. The lady informed him that just like everyone else we'd have to get in line and wait like everyone else and she also added that there was no one working in pick up to help us anyways! THAT IS RIDICULOUS! WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING THE PICK UP OPTION IF NO ONE IS THERE? WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING PICK UP AT ALL IF WE HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE TO JUST GET OUR ONE ITEM THAT''S ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR! IT'S JUST A SIMPLE GRAB AND GO! In all honesty I have to say the store is poorly organized, my best suggestion for this store location would be to just not to have the pick up option at all available for the guests online, if we're just to come in the store and wait in line for a few hours or have a better organized way of thinking of the guests that do have an online pick like have a curbside pick up like other stores have the option for their guests. read more

This Walmart location is crappy - even by Walmart standards. The store is extremely worn down and desperately needs a remodel. The food selection (what we went into the store for) was minimal - all processed junk food. There was carts used for restocking shelves parked in the aisles blocking access - this was mid-afternoon on a Sunday. We won't be returning to this location! read more

This review is ONLY for the nail salon and for ONE technician in particular. I couldn't find a separate page for them, so if there is one please point me to it. That being said, I got the BEST manicure during my errand run this morning from Tommy!! I was blown away. At wal-mart, of all places. For $20 (before handsome tip) I got a better manicure than any number of MUCH pricier places I've been to over the years. He could have his own shop and charge 3X that. Granted, there were no pending appointments so he had time to really take care with my long nails, but boy did he ever! He did everything slowly and carefully, making sure not to damage them. He waited for the acetone to thoroughly dissolve my gel without having to scrape or damage the nail bed. He gently repaired two cracks, and always filed in the same direction. He didn't cut any living skin on my lateral folds and cuticles , or soak my hands in hot water. He took extra time making sure each layer or gel was as thin and even as possible, and my hands were totally flat during curing. All while carrying on a nice conversation. A+++ Seriously, if you're at this walmart, stop and get your nails done by him. Best $20 manicure ever!! read more

Just got back from trying to get some plants at Walmart. The employee was so rude and they had at least 25 flats of flowers that were dead. Dont they know you have to water them sometime. I mostly love shopping at Walmart, with the exception of the crowds of really weird people who think they own every aisle and dress like they're about to go to bed or just got electrocuted. That's just my opinion as far as that goes so no need to yell at me for that. I do however think that Walmart is trying too hard to be like Costco, with the whole door person checking receipts now. If you're going to do it at least be consistent with it. First of all it's annoying as hell and really slows me down when I'm in a hurry because I like to stop on my way to work. 75% of the time nobody bothers to ask me for a receipt, the other 25% of the time they insist I show it to them even though they saw me get checked out by one of their checkers. It's a completely ridiculous practice if you're not going to do it regularly, and especially if you're going to check the people you literally just watch to get checked out. It's an inconvenience and an annoyance and I don't like it. read more

I called Walmart Rohnert Park and asked for the Cosmetics department. No one answered. They put me through again. No one answered. I called back and asked for the Toy department and was put through to the wrong department. They put me on hold forever. I called back amd nicely asked for the store manager after telling her of the problems I was having. She said,"What do you need? Three times" I said, "a store manager." She transfered me to a coworker who did the same and put me on hold forever. They are covering up their extremely poor service by refusing to put me through. I am goimg to go into the store and let the manager know, then I will refuse to shop there ever! Terrible customer service! Will also inform corporate offices! This review is for the optometry dept. to inquire about filling prescriptions. Stacey was super helpful and patient. At the time i was there, there were no other patients, so i appreciated her extra attention. I already acquired the basic info at diff location while i was travelling, so that helped immensely. Where i live there are no Walmarts with optometry owned by Walmart corp. So, I will return to have my glasses made here. read more
