This has everything I usually need and then some. With the amount of food and items related to baking they usually have the quantity we like for bulk items also. For those who are in the restaurant biz or want to stock your freezer this is a place to keep in mind. Their meats are large packages but if you are savvy with a good knife it's no sweat to trim it down into dinner portions. Their produce is fresh and delicious and paired greatly with a reasonable price for quantity. Nice selection of dairy items and even ice cream starter for making homemade ice cream. Easy to get to but if they are busy their small parking lot will be full. Take your time and wonder the aisles because most the time they will just have the employees up front or restocking the meat locker. read more

Shopped here several times when I needed mass quantities to prepare food for large gatherings. They certainly do got the big cuts of meat, giant blocks of process cheese, huge bags of produce. Has some kitchen equipment, too. Need an 84 quart aluminum stock pot? They got it. Prices are competitive. The target customers are restaurant owners. If you have a large family with a dozen mouths to feed this place may be your best bet for regular grocery shopping. This place is awesome and is similar to Costco. My cousin took me here the other day because I was looking for Torani flavored syrup. I couldn't believe the wide selection of Torani flavored syrup I saw at this store. As I strolled around, I saw people dressed up in restaurant clothing. Many restaurant owners probably like to shop here because of the cheap prices for the quantity they receive. If I lived in this area and was planning a party or summer BBQ, I would purchase all my food from here. Before I went to pay for my items, I noticed a candy area. I glanced around and found all different kids of candy from my childhood. Almost every candy you probably purchased from an ice cream truck was in the candy area. FYI, Cash & Carry has a sister company which you all may know. The sister company is Smart & Final. I'll be paying Smart & Final a visit sometime soon. read more

This is a big, tidy location with a good selection of products in giant bulk quantities. I would have given them four stars but when I FINALLY found their knife section (up at the front now, behind the cashier rather than out on the floor) they only had a small 6" cleaver nothing substantial like I was looking for. Years ago I'd gotten a bone cleaver here and was expecting to buy another today but left empty handed. If they have what you need it's a good deal, I'll admit that. read more

I like to buy my flour in 25# bags. Costco only carries bleached flour - not good for baking bread as unbleached. Cash and Carry has a fine selection of bulk flours, sugars and all manner of items one would expect to purchase if they operated a restaurant. How about a 50# bag of Demerara sugar? They have it! How about a Lesaffre Saf-Instant Yeast - 16 oz bag? Yeah, they have that too. Are you bad? They got stuff for you too. A big can of turkey gravy or a big can of sausage gravy is for you! Just goop it on bread and serve it to your brother-in-law. He'll love it! They also have large supplies of meat, vegetables and frozen foods. I was intrigued by a 25# bag of corn meal... but Sofie and I can only eat so much corn bread before we get sick of it. I recommend everyone come to this store. It's impossible for anyone not to find something they really really need. How about a gallon of chocolate syrup? How about 5 gallons of vanilla pudding? Now there's a crowd pleaser! I will be coming back here for more flour. They have a big selection of gluten free flour - but also flour that isn't normally available at your consumer grocery stores. I have needed to update this review for a while, and what better reason to do so then to express my love for their new expansion! I make a lot of food from scratch, and it pleases me to find great prices on so many bulk items. I love the to-go container selection as well, they have made packing school lunches a breeze! One of the best things about C&C is how reasonable they are for frozen fruit, dairy and meat. If you have a party or can take a few minutes and split out large packages of food when you get home, the savings really pays off. read more

I go to smart foodservice at least once a week usually twice! I can't say how nice and accommodating this store is! The managers go out of their way to ensure I have what I need especially if I look like I am wandering aimlessly. I drive up from Petaluma zip around the store and get pretty much everything I need to keep the Petaluma Elks lodge going. The atmosphere and full shelves makes me not dread my huge shopping endeavors so much! Staff was very helpful and sweet. One of their stockers dropped what he was doing in order to come show me where parchment was. He then took it to register, asked if ti needed anything else. Went here for work as I had trouble finding rectangle napkins at the grocery store and chains like Target and Walmart .Good prices . Warehouse environmental type setting . Not as helpful on the phone as they were in person . Room for improvement there. MEAT there is in bulk so you can always have it at AWESOME prices, plus bigger is better. I was so excited when Cash and Carry came to my area, I had been driving an hour to go to the store in San Francisco. The prices are competitive with Costco on most things, and meat prices are better by a mile if one is willing to butcher and repackage the larger cuts. I love the peeled tri tip, six or seven to a package, last time I bought it it was only $3.79 a pound! And the hamburger when it is on sale is less that $2 a pound for a 10 lb roll. It is a very good quality and not a lot of fat. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful and and this store is now where I go first to do my weekly shopping. read more

Been shopping here for years. If you want a couple of rib-eye steaks, go to Safeway, If you want a whole rib-eye, at half the cost, go to Cash and Carry. Great service. Check out the Half and Half price and the Eggs. Again if you do not shop here, you are really missing the boat. Great service and Costco pricing with a wider selection.

I had a positive experience before when I went there a year ago for a very large purchase. But I just got off the phone with a man who was so very rude yelling "quick quick"... cutting me off during my question, then back on the phone yelling "quick quick" again." So very rude! I just hung up. I guess Cash and Carry doesn't need my business again and I will recommend my 150 different students every year to take their business elsewhere. I cannot stand rude people especially when it's an older man talking to a woman. read more

love love love coming here! they always have what i need and the people here are all very nice and willing to help you w/ whatever you need. i do a lot of parties/party planning and this is the place to be. remember, they only take cash, credit card, and BUSINESS checks here. the selection is great and prices are generally cheaper than costco and supermarkets. the best part, no membership fees to worry about. the store can get busy on fridays and mondays as restaurants are stocking and restocking on supplies, but the wait has never been too long. read more
