Coming from NYC the blue law is a bit strange. I've never experience stores being closed like this unless some type of weather emergency. Anyways I saw online that Walmart was open and I was excited. My BFF and I started coming here shortly after the grand opening because we were sick of the crazy show at the Secaucus location. Unfortunately, while this location might be less crowded and a bit calmer, the selection of products is awful. Every section of the store is small -- one short aisle per category. Barely any variety of brands, and how come there's no McDonalds or Subway? 1 star for having at least majority of whats on my shopping list. And the other because its 500 feet or so aways from Qdoba. Dollar Store Attitude. Actually, you get better customer service at a dollar store. Most of the people who work here don't know anything about the store and/or are super unhappy about being there and possibly alive. A ten minute visit can turn into an hour easily because of the incompetence at this store. As for Sundays, they really need to clearly state which products are not for sale when you walk in. Some of the store is closed off like the apparel section but the electronics area is open and even the employees are confused about which items they can sell. TV? No. Computers? Maybe. DVDs? Yes. Cell Phones? No. Smirks and Attitude? YES. I understand why people complain about finding the employees at the store. It's because many don't even wear Walmart shirts. They're just hanging out around the store. Are they looking out for shoplifters or are they just ashamed to be working there? The people who work in the pharmacy area are pretty nice and helpful though. Just make sure that you don't try to pickup your meds during their lunchtime when they're closed (I think that it's from 1:30pm to 2:00pm). Also consider parking near the gym or the dollar store and radioshack, this place can be a nightmare to find parking. read more

I've never been a big fan of Walmart but once in awhile, I would trek over to Secaucus to get to that location. When Walmart opened up in Bayonne, I was intrigued. Now, I go on a semi-regular basis and am overall pleased. Yes, there is a strange crowd associated with Walmart. Have you ever seen this website? http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ It's true. These type of people will appear at any Walmart in any state. But the plus side is that you get decent products at a good price. Also, it's open 24/7! That gets an extra star from me! And I'll agree with other yelper's posts when they say they don't have as good of a selection of products that some other Walmart's have. There's good and bad with this place. Tried to buy a Nintendo Switch game...After 20 minutes of trying to get someone to open the "plexiglass" wall of security...I left gameless...went to Best Buy....walked in grabbed the game myself and out in 5 minutes.....go to Best Buy...go Amazon...just don't waste your time at Walmart. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I was rushing to go in here for 1 item at approximately 10:46 pm this evening; knowing bit more well they close at 11 pm but these 2 bitches was standing by the doors you come out of claiming they were closed and they registers were closed and I said y'all close at 11. They said we close the doors 10 mins early; mins you 10 mins to 11 is obviously 10:50... I still had moments to spare. I explained to them I just needed to run in there for 1 feminine product and one of those fuckin bitches had the audacity to ask if I can go to Walgreens. If I wanted to go to Walgreens then I would have went to Walgreens but since I wanted to save my little money I just wanted to go in there for 1 thing. Instead I just sped up 46 to Teterboro Walmart like I should have done in the first place but saddle Brook is closer to my house. At 10:53 pm I had no problem rushing into teterboro Walmart to purchase the items I so desperately needed. Moral of the story don't even bother going to this location. There's much more selection for items at Garfield and Teterboro Walmarts anyways. read more

As I was leaving after purchasing 2 items in the self check out line. They wanted me to show my receipt to the employee at the door. Whatever, I don't need my receipt anymore cause the movie I purchased was going to be watched as soon as I got home by my daughter, and the other item was a small bag of chips for me to munch on during the drive home. Told the guy he could keep the receipt. He followed me out and stood there trying to show me the error of my ways. It's funny that people say it smells like Subway, because it definitely does!! This store is always packed and I mean always! The reason I give it three stars is because no matter what, they almost always have most of or all the registers open and that's unusal for any Walmart! The store itself isn't so bad. Pathetic excuse for a Walmart. Completly overpacked and under stocked. The staff is far from friendly. The type of people that go there are mostly ghetto with no manners. They like to push you out of their way and let their kids run like wild hogs in there. The lines are usually a good 30 minute wait. This isn't a supercenter so food selection is small. They are closed on sunday due to Bergen county blue laws. I come here on emergency diaper runs only because it's closer than anything else and cheaper on Huggies than A and P. I went to Walmart this past weekend and I got a couple of things I needed quickly. The register is now self check out so it is very efficient and helps customers out a lot including myself. The prices were reasonable and I ordered something online and went to pick it up and the staff helped me right away with what I ordered. Thank you Walmart! read more

A lot of the reviews say the store is useless on Sundays. The truth is there are a multitude of departments that are open. Pharmacy, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Cosmetics, Pets, Seasonal goods, Stationary, paper and chemicals, Hardware, Auto, Sporting Goods, Toys, Baby food, and some electronics. Also pick up your Site to Store Order on Sundays as well. The Bergen Law comes up for vote in November, you can vote to do away with the law then. read more

This store is usually really crowded and the parking lot is basically the same. The staff is usually "good enough" if you have a question but I have had some really bad cashiers at this store. The stock is ok but I still think for such a "mega super retail store" that its just OK at best. read more

I will never go to this Walmart ever again. Everything about it is unpleasant. The parking lot is always packed and the store is even worse. It is always over crowded with entire families going up and down each aisle. The staff hates their jobs and likes to take it out on you. I thought around Christmas time I will do the order online/ship to store and figured I could just run over and pick it up, nope. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes and getting yelled at by the clerk for not having the right paperwork, I finally picked up my item. You won't believe this, but I have bought several small appliances here, used them for a few months, and then when they break, Walmart takes them back and gives me a full refund, no questions asked! And Walmart is good for diapers. read more

I recently went to this walmart this past Saturday to make a return. The woman Suella who claimed she was a manger refused to return my item, yelled repeatedly at me, and THREATENED me. I told her to stop and she continued to yell, talk down to me, and said I was rude for telling her to stop yelling at me. I called corporate guest services and was told the salaried manager would call and apologize, which NEVER HAPPENED. Overall, a terrible experience. read more

Walmart usually has great prices for well known items. It does not have a great variety of things but when they do it is usually the cheapest price around. Most Walmarts are like this. That being said, DO NOT GO TO THIS PARTICULAR WALMART UNLESS YOU HAVE TO! When I first heard a Walmart was going to open in my town, I didn't think it would be good for all the small businesses but it would help create jobs. OK, I grew up in Jersey all my life so Walmart wasn't a staple for me growing up. You would have thought they were giving out $100.00 with each purchase at this location. Granted Wally World (LOL) is still fairly new to us Jersey folks but relax! Store is on a odd and unsafe location per say. Right off of 440 which is nice if you drive but not if you depend on public transportation. I myself venture here on my lunch break but only when the boss is away because there is ALWAYS a line and it eats up my 30 minute lunch break. Everything is stock (because there still a fairly new location) but I am sure that will change. Also, it's not a big as other Walmart locations, for example Seacucus. There home decor selection is very slim and also kitchen needs. Good to go if you need to grab a few things but I still rather go a few more miles out my way to good ole Target! read more

This is your basic enormous discount retail store. I think they are now open Sundays. Most of their employees know very little, but are usually pleasant. I once had to explain to the menswear manager what pleats are. Keep an eye on your purchases at the checkout so no one else gets a bag that you paid for. That happened to me once. read more
