Great location with plenty of parking and an easy in and out from the road. The store is an older design with one main entrance and has a limited selection of food items. Even though the store is well stocked with others items, it's something to keep in mind if you go there looking for food. It's not going to be like one of their "Supercenters". Houseplants and cactus and succulents are well maintained, but only a limited selection is available. The store is clean and bright on the inside, but a good name for it might be "Limited", because it doesn't quite measure up to most of the Walmarts in the metro area. read more

What a zoo. One person with a mask on at the registers. It's a zoo, literally. Made it in, walked in for a few minutes, went to use the restroom quick before browsing around. It was too crowded by the registers and people kept walking around without looking up and bumping us here and there and thus we left shortly afterwards. The place was a mess and mayhem, it's 8:30pm, hate to see this place during an actual apocalypse. People seem dazed and stocking up for their bunkers. It's Thursday night and it feels congested and uncomfortable here. It's listed as a Super Center but the only thing Super about this Walmart are the prices and as far as I'm concerned that's a good thing. The parking lot is a mess. The lobby is nasty. I wanted to buy some coffee pods and all they had were a selection of a few brands where they came in very large boxes. I like to buy 12 pods at a time not 24 to 40. They have a grocery section but it is very small. I like this store due to the location, it is right off of Hall road and Mound. I like eating at the restaurants that surround this Walmart and then I can pop in to Walmart to get a little something I might have been thinking about getting all week, i.e. dish soap, a magazine, socks, etc... In terms of cleanliness it can be hit or miss but today on this very busy Saturday afternoon I found the isles to be pretty clean and clear. Overall I think this store has a nice selection of items such as luggage, tools, kitchen items, etc... Just don't come here planning to do your important grocery shopping. It's a good addition to the area so I give it a thumbs up. read more

There is a reason I still go to Amazon verses Walmart. They tried to charge me a merchandise fee. They told me it was for hazardous materials and wastes they lied. A merchandise fee is charged when goods are exported and have to go through customs, considering my purchase was domestic this doesn't apply and no other company that I know of charges it. They gave me a 15 dollars discount so that part ended up being good and I though wow that's is cool. My shipment was supposed to be next day, however it didn't get here until three days later All was good except for my bags of popcorn, one popped open and there was popcorn everywhere. The rest of the bags were smashed. They packed a 24 pack of sparkling water in the same box with no padding. Absolutely STUPID! They may have been a few bucks cheaper with their skinny pop popcorn but I would gladly pay a tad bit higher to deal with Amazon in which I never had any shipment issues! or bogus charges. I was hoping and planning for a quick trip in and out to pick up my online order. Nope. How handy, it's way at the back of the store so you have to walk through everything to get there. I arrive and no one is at the desk, I press the pos screen to begin. It indicates a csr is being called....for 5 minutes. No one. A staff passes me and says he'll (who?) be right with you. There's a stop watch of sorts on the desk, I press start at 5 min in, just for fun. 17 minutes later, no one. I go to the staff in electronics, she just ends up helping me. Sheesh. I hadn't visited this Wal-Mart since they built the one on Maple in Troy (yep, that tells you how long it's been) but this location was the only one that had in stock the inkjet printer I was on a mission for. I paid for it online and then drove thirteen miles over there. I wish it was a little more clear in the Customer Service area that it was NOT the spot for any Ship to Store pickups, but it was late on a Sunday and so I didn't have to stand in line only to be told that the place I needed was in the back of the store, BEHIND Electronics, next to the bathrooms. There indeed was a little counter where you could pick up online purchases. As it was (again) late on a Sunday, and picking up Ship to Store purchases probably isn't worth having a full-time staffer on any given day, but there was a sign clearly stating I just needed to tap the touch screen (where you would normally swipe your credit card) and an associate would be with me momentarily. I would say I probably waited a couple of minutes, and then was helped promptly. It would have been nice if I'd been offered a cart or burly associate to help carry my purchase, but then again, I didn't ask either. The store itself was clean, although as I lugged my heavy printer back up to the front of the store, the organization and setup seemed a little puzzling. All-in-all, though, I was pleased with the customer service I received and would visit it again if I needed to. read more

Can't go wrong with Walmart. Typically low prices even among other grocery chains and has so many departments in most areas. This one is definitely more popular than the Troy one. It's in a prime plaza with fast-food and sit-down options (BK, Bdubs, Texas Roadhouse, Rangoli Indian, Honeytree, etc.), an LA Fitness, and one of the largest movie theatres in the area (AMC Forum 30) among others. Some items like sweat pants are so popular, they aren't even available anymore in this location while others in the area have them. For other items like Tees and v-necks, certain locations have different stocks and different colors since you obviously can't expect one location to stock an entire line of color or an entire range of any one product. Same goes for food such as ice cream. All in all, it's a typical Walmart but if you're a resident of the Metro Detroit area and shop at Walmart, you might want to check out other ones in case what you're looking for isn't there. read more

When I asked what to do, cashiers very rudely said, well there ain't nothing we can do about it, if they're ain't one then How u gon scan it.? Then when I asked if they could go verify the price with me down the isle, they simply just stared at me with a SOL look. I had to go by myself to take a picture of the price on shelf. After purchasing all items, I didn't even get a thank you or have a good day. my Problem is getting received a Rude treatment that's uncalled for. When you pay over $100.00 to have money wired and are assured that you would be able to access that cash at ANY Walmart that participates with "Moneygram" within 10 minutes of the transfer, you assume that is a true statement. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. We were at this Walmart well over an hour. This particular Walmart has a limit of $1,400.00. But participating "Moneygram" merchants guarantee $9,000.00 available for a FEE, which had been paid. We were several thousand dollars under the limit. The young lady was very polite. The manager was a complete idiot and lied to my face. He said they were unable to do this because they didn't have the proper forms. That was a lie. I wanted to video tape his reply, I was told that taping and taking pictures in Walmart is NOT allowed and they would have to call security and police. Funny there is a post below about people taping regularly and posting to Youtube. If they are proud of what they are doing why wouldn't they want it taped. I believe he didn't want it taped because this store is in direct violation of their agreement with "Moneygram". I went to another Walmart. Received my cash. NO FORM was required. The store manager has no regard for the agreement they have made with Moneygram and sets his own dollar amount. This location should not be considered a "Moneygram" location. read more

This is the place to be on a Friday night! I come here about 8 times a week. Me and all my pals call it "Wallies" ha ha. I film most of my world class YouTube videos here. It's a great family friendly atmosphere. The store is extremely big. About 6 miles by 6 miles. I get lost pretty frequently but there's always a friendly college graduate employee there to help me find my way. Sadly I have to give this Wallies a 2/5 rating because they were out of Mountain Dew and Doritos last time I visited. Which is completely unacceptable. But I digress. For the most part this place never ceases to amaze me. From the games, to the wonderful employees, to the exquisite amount of things they sell. I will forever be loyal to Wallies. Well my kids are eating boiled noodles tonight as the cashier conveniently forgot to put the bag containing all of the meat I bought for my family this week, hamburger, pork chops and chicken in my cart. I went at 7 AM they did not have my order ready, and then I tried calling on my lunch hour only to wait on hold for almost the entire lunch hour and never speaking to someone about my order.
