Burlington had been a go to place for me. Even prior to Covid their available items appeared to not be of the quality nor quantity offered in prior years. I have to say at my visit today I felt I walked back into the Burlington I have loved! I may not see the larger selection of leather purses/designer bags of old,however, an amazing selection awaited you! Looks like the baby and toddler selection is improved and I can only hope that the beautiful department is resurrected as well. In this day and age babies and pets cell. Came in earlier today, didn't have a good experience. I feel they wern' patient when it came to dealing with the primary reasonf or my visit. I needed some help finding something specific. I had called in advance, they said they had what I needed. I drove 20+ miles to get to this location, when I got there the guy had a complete attitude. I feel the customer service could be worked on here. The prices are ok, but again the service is shotty. The selection is limited. Not sure if I'll be coming back here anytime soon read more

Lines are long and take forever plus aisles are a mess most of the time. But the icing on the cake is the looks and stares i get whenever im there. by employees and customers. if ur alternative AT ALL avoid this store. read more

I went to Burlington in Sterling Heights MI yesterday, what a mess. They have been open for almost 2 weeks now - after COVID shutdown, i thought they were going out of business. Their store was virtually empty, i did find a few good deal, like a $75 pair of Columbia jeans for $5, but pickings were slim, Everything discounted. According to cashier, they are trying to sell out old inventory and waiting arrival on new stuff. After being unable to find warm comfy clothes for Zuri my daughter suggested burlington... so since I was passing it anyway thought I would give it a try... may I say it was a success... found her 3 outfits (tops n bottoms) for less than 20.00 unfortunately they didnt remove on of the thief protection apparatuses so I will have to go back to have removed...a little aggravating... but along with that found a garbage can for moes room ( hopefully he will use it)... along with a couple sets of cutting boards since mine have seen better days....all and all a pretty good deal... also liked their jammies for kids, nice soft comfy jammies 9.99... definitely going to pick up jammies next time I go read more

This is a review that is 10 years old. But read it, so you understand why I am leaving it 10 years after the fact. This store was my life. I was spending $1200+ plus a year for a good five years mostly at this location. The store is a hit or miss but when you hit, you could hit well. It came in batches. Sometimes I'd spend $500 in a day but then go a few months without buying anything. So I bought some pants in 2006 and took them home. Left the tags on, tried them on, they did not fit. I took them back to the store. $17.99. Had the receipt. The store was claiming the pants had a belt and I did not bring back the belt. It did not come with a belt when I bought it. Usually men's pants do not come with a belt, but maybe they were right. But mine did not. I asked to speak to a manager. Manager told me they would not return them. I told them nicely that I spend over $1000 a year and this is a return for something you can resell. Do you want to lose business over this? He again repeated he could not help me. I actually left the pants on the counter and walked out. They didn't fit so I didn't need them. Since 2006, I have not walked into a Burlington. Let's say I kept up my spending of over $1000 a year, that's $10,000 I could have spent (or more). Great job, Assistant Manager! Way to to think things through. They wont let you take the cart outside the store. When I sent a complaint, they said it was for security reasons. As a mom, what about my security. I dont like walking to my car with my hands full with my purchases, trying to struggle getting my child, purchases and worry about getting to my car safely. Wont be back to shop ever. read more

I'm never stepping one foot in this location again. Horrible, horrible customer service. The employee was implying that I couldn't look at this dress because it's maternity. Whether she knew I was pregnant or not, or who I was shopping for was none of her business. So I replied to her 'it's cute' and she responded 'WELL GET IT THEN' LOL I walked right out that store after that. Think about better management of your employees, better stock and organization; the place is a mess. read more

I love Burlington Coat. This place is a depot for everything from Calvin Klein to Rocawear. I've purchased a lot of clothes/shoes from here. They have tons of sales going on throughout the year and most often the discounts are huge. I would definitely recommend that everyone check out the shoes section because they have possibly the coolest shoes especially converses for dirt cheap prices. I found a pair of Levi's shoes here on sale for $19.99 which originally costs $39.99 but the kicker is that even the Levi's store at Somerset did not have this and they suggested I go online to find it. I also purchased an official licensed Detroit Pistons winter jacket for $69.99, a savings of $79.99. However, I do admit that some of the clothes are a season behind and since they do cater to a much larger urban population some of the clothes might be a little too big and hence I would recommend going down a size or even two. read more

This is my favorite Burlington. The employees are very knowledgeable about their products. They truly have the best coats election. While I was there I found a 3x v neck shirt. They always have very hard to find items for big men. Plus their quality is the level of Macy's. read more

I've worked many jobs in customer service so I know how aggravating the job can be, but the people here are extremely rude and not helpful at all. I was returning a shirt that was from a few months ago and I knew that I was going to get store credit. I was fine with that. The shirt had never been worn and it had the tag and I had the receipt. When the girl rang it up, it rang up as $5 less than what I had paid for it, so the amount of store credit I was going to get would be $5 less. I asked her why I wasn't getting back the amount that I paid for it and she said it was because it had gone on sale since I was last there. I said, ok, but I bought it when it wasn't on sale so I should get back the amount that I paid for it. That's how every store works. She then got the manager and the manager just said the same thing, that since it had gone on sale, that I wasn't going to get the full amount back. I asked when that policy became a thing because In the past I had no problem returning items months later and getting the same amount that I paid for them. She couldn't give me a straight answer and was equally unhelpful and a bit short with me. I know it's only $5 but the fact that neither of them could explain when or why this policy started made me really frustrated. I was a frequent shopper of this location but I definitely won't be back. Please invest in better customer service. read more

This place is AMAZING. Sales all the time. Big plus is that you are free to shop without employees behind or in front asking all the time stupid question. If you see one and in need of help they walk you to section and leave you be. Lines are of coarse long but they are moving quick and all the time when I shop there has to be 1-2 people who complain about service/registers. It is a STORE not online auction. One more thing if you see item on sale call ahead make sure they put it on side if you will be arriving at time. Thins on paper get sold out quickly cause customers call and pay it with cc or check info and they are put aside. So do not complain if item is gone even if you are there at opening hours. I pay things buy them in a such a way and pick em up later. For the registers; you girls are doing awesome job considering being watched on cameras and by managers plus dealing with customers rude ones or the one on the phones WHO ARE THE ONE THAT CAUSE ALL BACKING AND SLOW DOWN REGISTERS. If you're a fan of Burlington Coat Factory stores, go to a different location. This one deserves only a 1/2 star, but that wasn't an option. The selection here is poor and there is always a ton of reshops and damages everywhere. I keep going back, thinking things will improve, but nothing has in multiple years. Beware: checkout lines are EXTREMELY slow and long. If you find anything to buy you will weight the wait versus the deal every time. read more

This and all of the Burlingtons that I've been to are dirty and disgusting looking in MI. Not at all what the commercials advertise. If any of the stores looked like what the commercials advertise that would make me and my family want to shop there. I've seen Salvation Army stores look better. Burlington stores are dirty. Clothes are scattered and the coat selection is bare. No current styles. The bath section is not even put together. There are only two cashiers always open. The wait to check out is ridiculous. And most of all let's not talk about the people that shop there. That certain culture is what is bringing the store down. They bring their entire family with them and then they try to negotiate their items that they want to buy for free. Workers are rude and act like I'm wasting their time. The clothes are also overpriced for Burlington. Walmart has better quality clothing for cheaper. read more

I am sorry to say it, but it seems that there is always a problem or lack of employees wanting to work when I visit this store. Alot of workers talking, but not much wanting to work. I always, no matter what time of day I visit this store, have to wait at the register for at least 10 min. Today, I visited this store to do a return and exchange. The manager (or I think he was the mgr) helped me leave my things while I grabbed what I needed. When I stepped up to Customer Service for my exchange, I was told that there was one line and for me to get to the back of it. I told her that I had my things to be exchanged and she told me to get in line. I did as I was told and when I got to the front of the line, I was told that they didn't do exchanges at that register. I explained what happened and told the cashier that I was not getting back in line again. She asked the cashier at the Customer Service counter to take me next and she would not. I tried to explain again what happened and the cashier at the Customer Service counter got loud and waived at me as to tell me to shut up and she didn't have time for me......that says alot for their training and the people that work there.....I am spending my money elsewhere....somewhere where they appreciate my hard earned money..... read more
