This is the closest Walmart to my house it is convenient and big. The prices are very reasonable!!! the clothing department seem to be a little bit pushed together it's kind of hard to maneuver a cart through the clothing aisles sometimes. they have huge seasonal item section. I'm definitely not writing this because I love Walmart, or how they treat their employees. I simply go to Walmart for the convenience like many others. Last night I went to Walgreens to return some items and grab a few groceries for the week. When I got to my car I realized that my keys were missing. I immediately went to the customer service desk and told them that my keys were missing and I needed some help. There were two employees standing there talking with each other off to the corner. One of them asked me what the keys looked like and said she would check in the back. I explained to her that the keys had to have gone missing very recently and quickly because I had only been inside of the store for about five minutes. She went back and looked anyway and of course came back without the keys. I told her that I didn't know what to do and if there was a way to have some employees help me look for the keys as I had all also walked over to the pharmacy area as well as the grocery side. She explained to me that every employee was busy... If you've ever been to Walmart you know that this is absolutely not true. So I took off back tracking my steps through Walmart until I eventually found them. When I was leaving there were two police officers at each entrance who easily could have helped me, there were multiple employees just pacing around pretending to watch the self check out, which we all know they don't walking around aimlessly. Yes I did find my keys, but I was just so shocked and disappointed that they didn't offer any help whatsoever. read more

Horrible customer service! My 15 year son went in while I stayed outside getting gas, to buy a ring filler front he jewelry area. He was inside for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to come help. I told him to look for a worker while I attempted to call and get him help as well. Everyone the phone rang so mine picked up and hung up. I then came in and once again no one to be found. They continued to tell him someone eventually would come but no one ever showed up. Besides maybe being short staffed, their customer service is the worst! Same reason why don't shop at Walmart and prefer Target! I'll say 3 stars. I've been going to this walmart in and out for about 5 years. It used to be very iffy but lately its not so bad. I'm always alarmed when I walk into a walmart with a cop at the entrance but I get it. Most issues here used to be caused by the high school kids, since the school is located right behind. However, all in all its getting better and very reliable. Customer service is usual like the rest of the walmarts but workers can be sparky at times. Meh, it works. read more

I have had the most negative experience with my Walmart home delivery orders in the past 2 months. I've placed several orders that have either not been delivered or delivered to the wrong address as evidenced by the photos, texts, and emails I received from the drivers. I have been charged multiple tips when drivers have forgotten to deliver an item the first time, and I was denied a refund for groceries not delivered. I've called customer service multiple times. A representative argued with me and told me that I was not a Walmart+ member. She then proceeded to hang up on me when I asked to speak with a manager. Most recently I called again about another undelivered order and asked to cancel my membership and a refund for my yearly fee as I was not getting the services for which I paid for. I was told that my membership will be cancelled, but I would not get a refund. I also asked to have the balance refunded back to the promo code that was given to me for the last bad service experience immediately before this order and again was told it would not be refunded. I've asked to speak to managers on multiple occasions, but have been told they are in meetings and a manager would call me back at their convenience. I have yet to receive either a phone call or a refund. read more

Once a year i go back to this store hoping for a good experience. As usual they don't fail to disappoint. I bought 2 rib eye steaks for new years day. I have been cooking steaks on my grill for over 25 years. These steaks were tough as leather. I called the store the next day and was put on hold for 8 minutes, per my phone timer, and finally had to hang up. Called the next day and was on hold for 11 minutes waiting for a manager. She told me first I had waited too long to call in the complaint, even when I told her I called the day before. She then said I had to speak to someone in "Produce Dept." I said are you kidding this is about steaks, at which point she hung up on me. Never ever waist your time or money at this or any Wal-Mart store. By the way, funny how the reviews on their own web site have a much higher overall rating. They must be fake and or put up by employees. read more

Do not replace your tires at this Walmart they broke my car studs front wheel and I talked to the manager and asked him to fix it he told me to make claim for that incident then after one week Walmart insurance called me and informed me they not going to fix my car . NIGHTMARE! We went in to purchase a certain item and decided to grocery shop, too, while we were already there. Item: gone. Asked for a manager to see if we could replace it with another, more expensive item for the price of the other since it was out of stock and we'd made a special trip for it. After 10 minutes and 2 people looking for a manager, the answer is NO. More than 5 more items we wanted--gone from shelves. Display markers on existing items either missing or in wrong place, making it difficult to figure out what things cost. Finally make it to checkout, and other than "self-check," we see only 2 open lanes out of 20! We get in line and I spot manager and another employee making happy chit-chat while the customers are looking depressed and exhausted from their shopping. I walk over and ask if they could please open another lane for us? They said one more was open at the other end of the store. We rush down to it and the light is off but not roped off. We start unloading our very full cart and when it's 3/4 unloaded on the conveyor belt the Asian cashier says in very broken English that he is closed and to go somewhere else! Uh, no way, dude! I told him he needed to find someone else, even a manager to cover for him because we weren't moving. A new cashier arrives, and as she is slowly scanning each item I asked her if they were short-staffed? No, she says--it is the bad manager who messes up the scheduling all the time, that there are plenty of cashiers! Seeing that this a payday Friday afternoon...I look over at the poor people in line in customer service: 15 waiting, with more arriving! OMG, a definite NIGHTMARE! Will never shop here again. P.S. By contrast, when we went to HEB at Parmer and IH35 to fill-in our shopping gaps, the beer and wine manager offered to do a special order for us whenever needed, broke a 6-pack so that we could try one beer, and even gave us her name and personal phone number so we could contact her at anytime for special requests. The IH-35 @ Parmer Walmart is my favorite Walmart Supercenter in Austin. It seems better stocked than others so you can have a higher chance of finding not only what you came for but a better variety of similar products. It also feels cleaner and doesn't have the "screaming-unruly-children-running-amuck" atmosphere that many other Walmarts in town have. Weekend early mornings seem to be the best time to avoid crowds. There's a McDonalds restaurant inside. It's a supercenter so it also offers you one-stop shopping. read more

I have not been here that many times but we dropped by after Christmas to see what they had going on for sales and they had a very impressive clearance section. It is not the best location and they are definitely not very organized or clean when it comes to public restrooms but for what it is .. it's still a Walmart with low prices and such. This Walmart location located at 12900 N IH35 Austin Tx 78753 is the worst Walmart store in this area & possibly the state... They do not have check out counters open so you have to scan & bag your own merchandise....when you ask an employee why there are no check out stands open they say "people called in sick" they have been saying this for the last 5 months or more....the manager of this store is totally clueless & incompetent because she could at least have her employees answer the question honestly....today i went to do a curbside pick up & when i arrived there were 2 spots left to park in & only 1 employee working & he was working hard...i called for 20 minutes trying to get their phone answered but it would just answer & say...we are too busy to answer the phone hang up & call back....i tried calling the main number for the store & no one answered the phone in any of the 4 departments i chose....management is totally incompetent.....i will never do any more in store visits or curbside visits at this store...my heart goes out to the employees..... read more

Quite honestly, the worst Tire center I have experienced. I've gone there a few times to get my tires worked on after I bought 4 new tires and all the bells and whistles that go with it. On every visit, the first thing I hear from the work floor supervisor, "Tell them its going to be a 3 hour wait" in a booming voice without any consideration or care for the value of the customer's time. He does this without fail. Even though it isn't really a 3 hour wait. Next, the employees normally at the tire center seem to be lost in small talk and do not pay attention to what they are doing. I once waited about 2 hours for a Tire rotation/balance job, only to find out that my work order was not printed, and hence my car was not worked on!!!! To top that off, once they did work on my car, they did the job incorrectly! I spoke with the manager who kept apologizing. He offered me some compensation in the form of a free oil change, but quite honestly, I do not trust those guys to do a good job there. They always have had issues delivering on the service that I signed up for with the tires, and I do not want to add a new issue to worry about -- Oil leaks, worn threads on plugs, wrong oil etc etc.. I trust my dealer for that. If you ask me, do not waste your time with Walmart, pay a little more (+$20 or so) and save yourself the hassle of dealing with this. Go to discount tire across the street, my dad has tires with them (I had too, but I thought I'd save some money and go to walmart) and man their service, professionalism, courtesy, and respect for your time is impeccable! SKETCHY! Visit this Walmart at your own risk! As most Walmart's, this location has a good selection of goods. This location, unfortunately, is not staffed well. The staff are not very capable or seem to take pride in their job, at all. It was not clean. It had Austin Police at the doors, which should have been a sign to get in our truck and drive away. Unfortunately, this Walmart follows a trend of nice stores opening and then steadily declining quickly. This seems to be a systemic challenge. Walmart Optical (12000 N I35) anti-glare lens coating is inferior. Clerks have limited knowledge about eyewear production. I purchased "Walmart's" top-of-the-line lenses - transition, anti-glare. Over the pass month after six months of ownership, the lenses started to cloud Iike they had cataracts. The optical clerk and her manager didn't have a clue what was going on other than the coating seem to be the problem. I did mention that I stored the glasses in the car when I used my LensCrafters sunglasses and that I've always did that for years. Needless to say, they offered a 20% discount on another pair. I left furious that I paid over $300 dollar for a poor quality product. I immediately went to LenCrafters and they identified the problem right away. The problem was the anti-glare coating adhesive failing due to heat. Low quality product could fail faster than others, however, they can all fail under the correct conditions. Her advice is not to store eyeglasses in the car. I've had anti-glare coatings over many years and stored my glasses in the car while wearing sunglasses, and I have left my sunglasses in the car always. I never had that problem until now. Anyway, I got LensCrafters lenses and I'm happy. I only wish Walmart clerks could explain the problem like LensCrafters clerks, I wouldn't have been as furious. read more

WEDDING CAKE: Stephanie did such a great job on my wedding cakes and you really can't beat the price. The cake wasn't super important to me but these turned out great. We did one Vanilla with Strawberry filling and one Chocolate with Raspberry filling and bother looked and tasted wonderful. I would totally recommend this to people who aren't picky about their cake and don't want to spend $500 on one cake. The two cakes we got were less than $200. read more

Tire and Lube department... It really impressed me how bad, horrible service the people that works there offers. Every time that I try to get an oil change is the same attitude from them. I don't know if they have a manager or the manager doesn't care. They are very rude and slow, it seems that they are always in a bad mood. I went today to get an oil change with my baby boy and first I waited 5 min outside (one of the guys was there and he saw me with the baby and he never came to ask what I was waiting for or wanted) another guy came from his lunch time and just entered walking extremely slow (seriously?!) then he came out and I told him that I needed an oil change, I asked him how long will it take and his answer was "I don't know" is that real? How the hell you don't know how long is going to take you to do your job?! There was only 1 other car and mine, I asked him again "do you think 1 hour or more than 1 hour?" because I was with my baby and his answer again "I don't know" Please if you don't like your job quit!!! Women's restroom was bad. Only has 4 stalls and 2 not working: no locking latch on one and other didn't flush. Two sinks, one water faucet not working. Paper towels not stocked and just rolls sitting on top of towel dispensers. Anyone short or in wheelchair could jot reach. An employee was notified of issues, not sure if she was really telling maintenance. Can only hope. The store outside is filthy and homeless people camping out in pkg lot near customer cars. They do what most Wal-mart do, they sell almost everything, usually for a cheaper price, and if you don't like to be around other people, this is not the place for you. Unbelievably rude employee at customer service. I was returning a pair of jeans. There's eight people in line and one person working the desk. Just when I was next another person showed up to work the returns. The black woman at the empty station clearly did not want to wait on me as she yelled money services, money services. A black man came from the back of the line to her station. About five minutes with him and she began to yell money services again. Three times, while looking at me she yelled money services. After a fifteen second pause, she finally said next. I went to the side of the register she had been working from and put my return on the desk. She then stepped to the other side of the register and said, sir I'm over here. I picked up my return an stepped to the other side and put the jeans on the counter. Then she said ,sir take them out of the bag. After removing the jeans from the bag I handed her the receipt and said this is a return. She did her paperwork a handed me another receipt without saying a word. I said thank you and turned to walk away. She then yelled sir please take your bag and throw it away. Throw it in the trash can over there. Now I know you cannot see her body language or hear the attitude in her voice but it was clearly evident she did not want to provide me with any service and it was clearly evident why. You see I am white. If you have that attitude you should not be in a position where you have to provide service to the white people you clearly despise. This is another example of white hate coming from a false narrative that this person has been taught. I feel sorry for her and sorry for those that walk in the middle of the parking lot or walk so slow in front of your car just to make a point. If good customer service practices were utilized due to the sensitive need the doctor would have provided data but they did not even try to reach me or doc . Hope this does not result in an er visit.
