There's something I like about this Walmart better than the one I live less than a mile from. This location is always stocked and always clean. It's never overly crowded and I can always find what I need. It's close to my job and I was able to make a quick run here to pick up something for an activity I was planning for my students. I made a Yelp account just to be sure I might save someone some trouble going here. Don't. This Wal-mart's employees are poorly trained. They barely look up to manage their self-check queue and when I let Kimberly know she had allowed two customers to go ahead of me and how it was not a particularly well-communicated line she was incredibly rude. Ive worked in customer service and I can't imagine being careless and rude enough to talk derogatorily about a customer loudly in earshot of them. I will never return here and recommend anyone else just save themselves the bother. read more

I was able to get a parking space, not far from the entrance. The employees, that I did come, into encounter, with very pleasant and eager to help. The store wasn't as crowded, but I did go before rush hour began. Everything that, I did go to Walmart, for I was able to purchase. Had to do a return that included shipping so I originally visited the store off of Montclair but was told their label printer was down. They were polite abs apologetic so I came to this store. The line was long but store employees noticed and pitched in. This store is better stocked than some others so if I can't find an item at another store this is my go to location. I was able to turn in my package and get it shipped. I was happy their equipment was working properly and that I didn't have to work through a third of shipping party to resolve my issue. read more

This is not the closest WM to me, but sometimes they have items that the Trussville WM doesn't have. I haven't actually been in this store... I've only used the drive up services. Parking lot could use some resurfacing because there are lots of potholes. People park in the pickup spots and go inside the store to shop, so there isn't always a spot to park. It takes me more time than I'd like to shop here because I have to check dates on EVERYTHING I pickup. I've seen food outdated by MONTHS. I always find someone to report the outdated items to & also remove them from the shelves, placing them on the floor, only to return days later & the items have been put back on shelves. This location could definitely use an upgrade. The parking lot feels very crowded and has potholes. There is security that patrols the area, which is nice, but is also sad that it is needed to make people feel safe enough to shop here. The employees we dealt with were nice, though it did take them a long time to deliver our online order / mobile order. We try not to come to this location unless they are the only Wal-mart nearby that has something in stock that we need. read more

I was at Walmart today all lanes were full. I got into line on register 5 and a cashier named Cheryl informed me she was closed. She took in a customer after me so I got back in line when she told me again she was closed. So I got out of line and she took Yet another customer after I got out of line. I had spoken to her and she was Very rude to me. As a customer spending hard earned money I felt very disrespected. One of the friendliest Wally World I've ever been in....Of course this entire town is friendly. Employees and customers will say hi to you as you walk by....I love small towns....The only time this has ever happened to me was when I was up in Canton, Ga (another small town) People say hi to each other as they pass each other in the parking lot. Super cool. I didn't experience the trash and other unpleasant things that some of the other Yelpers have written about. Surprisingly a decent Walmart visit. I can't believe it! The staff I encountered was pleasant and not the normal grouchy bunch! This I can appreciate. They were out of stock on ponchos so I was in and out. However, I made a stop by the deli to get my mom some chicken fingers and jalapeño poppers but the deli worker took a long time to acknowledge that I was waiting. 3.5 There is always something with this location. Today I came for a Rx pickup. There was a mix up on the location (more than likely my doctor's office error) however, my order wasn't ready and the location needed to be called so they could cancel theirs. The young lady "called" and I patiently waited then I became frustrated with the wait as the line was getting longer. I decided to call the other location myself. (Spoke to someone, got the Rx cancelled and dropped). The young lady never said a word. Not my best experience if I was the one who was supposed to be assisted vs. Doing the work myself. I called this pharmacy to ask about putting my name on a waiting list for leftover COVID doses that would be thrown out otherwise. I called another Walmart near me and had no problem doing this. However, the pharmacist at this particular location was very rude and accusatory when I asked about the waiting list. I made it clear that I was NOT trying to get in line ahead of anyone else, but that I would gladly drop everything and take a leftover vaccine at the end of the day if no other eligible folks were able to get there and use it. Better to vax someone who isn't currently eligible and increase community protection than to throw doses away! It's really, really not that hard to put someone's name on a list, nor is it hard to be courteous. read more

These people just don't care. What an awful walmart. The restrooms were filthy. They appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned at all for the day. There were long lines and store management seemed oblivious to how filthy the store was and how unprofessional and rude some of the workers were. Almost every other employee had a mouth full of gum and was popping bubbles directly in the faces of customers. They seemed to be very nonchalant to customers times and we stood in line for way to long. Walking thru I was amazed shelves empty, items all over the floor, everything is a mess, what upset me the most is 4 kids rides bicycles thru the store and 3 employees just walked by as if nothing was wrong, now at self checkout the young lady was too busy to help anyone because she was on her phone fussing with someone then she just pointed instead of talking , now the Mgr needs to get out behind his desk and open his eyes to HIS store, now one more thing not one buggy in the store because they were all outside! As with any Walmart, it's just that...A Walmart. Aside from the rude customers, I prefer this location over many of the others. I seem to find better clearance deals at this one (today I scored a $30 play house for my kids, marked down from $75) than any of the other stores in Birmingham. The employees are generally nice people and the store is typically well stocked. The reason I gave 3 stars is because of the infamous checkout lines. Is impossible to get out of there in less than 30 minutes if you go during peak times. I'd really like to see more people working the cashier lines. read more

I knew this location wasn't great with customer service, but I never expected to cross paths with a rude employee at the register. Since my items were less than 10, I proceeded to the express check out. While placing my groceries on the counter, in less than 10 seconds of me placing my groceries on the counter, the cashier demanded I push them down to her. I just told her to give me a few seconds to get my things settle. The employee went on to tell me that many customers expect her to bring the items down herself, which I replied that you can't assume that every customer is the same. This store is one of the worst. It is like a ghetto; you have to watch your back and be careful not to say anything that might be taken the wrong way. It's best to get in and out as quickly as possible and not make much eye contact. Some of the employees are really nice but the clientele can be a little unsettling. This review is for the Tire & Lube dept. NOT the store. The store is awful. I needed an oil change and went there on my lunch break. They were very nice and a guy named Rashaun I think assisted me with getting info to get it started. I actually left and ate lunch, then came back and it was ready. They had checked my tires and had an estimate for 2 new ones on the front. The service was easy and convenient. It was a decent price too. read more

I went to Wal-mart this morning to purchase some paper towels for school. This particular aisle was roped off because they were waxing the floor. I asked if I could just get the paper towels, and the man who was waxing said "no", I had to wait. "Can you wait? " he asked. I said no and that's ok, I will go to Walgreen. I have been coming to this Walmart for 17 years and today was the worse day ever.The manager by the name of Scott lacks the knowledge of the prices in the garden center. I had purchased red mulch for 1.80 a bag today he changed the price to 3.67 a bag I showed him the price in the garden book what I paid for. he told me the employees were scanning the wrong bar code. i told him that was not my fault!. walmart need to update their garden center book and prices. scott ,the manager needs to take off that tie and shirt and get to know their products and prices in the garden center read more
