Things were arranged neatly, and I was able to get, find my item and get out in less than 5 minutes. That's a rare feat at a Walmart. So, if I must go, here is where I will. Although, in an unusual twist, at the register I tried to pay in cash and I was asked if I wanted to wait 6-8 minutes on 'ones'. I'm used to being asked that about chicken, but singles?? Cheap prescriptions but be prepared to wait. Look on their website for a list of all their $4 prescriptions. Great prices on everything, especially groceries. Their produce isn't the best so I would advice getting that somewhere else. They offer really good bakery stuff like fresh croissants and donuts (not as good as Krispy cream but good). They will even make birthday cakes to order and have a book of different cakes that you can look thru to give you ideas. They best thing about this Walmart it is so convenient. You can get everything here all in one store. They offer all the regular stuff you would get at Walmart with a pharmacy, grocery, Starbucks and even a subway! read more

Customer service is a joke. Especially to the workers. Hands down, and without a doubt, the single worst Walmart I have ever been to, east coast to west coast. Management stinks, staff are all disgruntled, and I get the impression customers are a burden to them. The area is also a little scary, especially without any open presence of security. Listen. So, if you ever call this Wal-Mart and ask to speak to someone in pickup area, be ready for your call to be sent to the BLACK HOLE! The phone rung I know like a gazillion times. I had one question to ask concerning my order and receiving an answer would have prevented me from having to drive to the store. So, I decided to call the Wal-Mart on Lakeshore and found out that the pickup area phone at Lakeshore, is routed to the same BLACKHOLE as the Pickup area phone at Montclair. smh. This Walmart is big on business, but lack basic infrastructure, and team building. The way Management treat their employees, and most customers is unacceptable, in a sense of looking down at them. We shop here almost everyday, but have slowed up do to this reason, and plan to stop altogether. Lastly, I don't believe Management know, no customers, mean no business. read more

I think this is a very well kept branch. It seems to be in good order most of the time, and I rarely come across a product I want that is out of stock. Everyday low prices:) As always there are about 25 checkout lines with about 5 open. Waits normally aren't terrible. Also a plus here is the Subway inside. (You can easily go across the street to the Golden Arches, if that news disappoints you) Or Chick-Fil-A out front. Redbox inside among other stuff. This is a very large branch. There's a good mix of demographics that come in here seeing as it is located right between two extremes of income. I like it. read more

Could use alot of work. I went in Walmart in crestwood today after getting off work and proceed to grocery shop. I then get in line and the walmart associate (Britney was name) had the nastiest attitude towards one of the customers. It hurts my heart and it honestly sucks that she is still there with that behavior, it was awful, if you don't want to work do go in. I will be shopping at Publix up the street from now on, I've never had the problem there before. read more

I'm not a fan of Walmart at all but this location is within walking distance of my house so every blue moon you'll catch me there. Only in absolute desperation will I visit this location. I never really feel safe, it's always dirty and the employees act as if doing their job is the biggest inconvenience for them. They're often out of stock of the things I need whether it's in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. The employees aren't very friendly and rarely ever greet you with a smile let alone an audible greeting. The last time I visited this location was yesterday to pick up some pictures I had pre-ordered. I waited for over fifteen minutes at the Photo Center for an employee to come but no one ever did. I understand it's the holidays which are a busy time of year but ordering these pictures ahead of time was supposed to be a convenience for me but instead turned into an inconvenience. This location really needs an overhaul. read more

As the dearth of retail shopping in person shopping continues to die out, more and more Walmart is becoming the only option for bargains. So I do most of my shopping at a close by Neighborhood Market. I needed, however to go to a Walmart with an electronics department for "customer service". My sister bought a barely-used IPhone 6 from a friend who got it at a Walmart in Decatur, complete with their Straight Talk service. This friend of my sister bought the phone as an extra for one sole purpose and once that purpose was done she sold it, after removing all of her personal data. My sister gave me the phone as a present, telling me that I only needed to go to Walmart anywhere in Bham, buy a new SIM card from Straight talk, and Walmart would get me set up--"bring your own phone" plan. Last week I went to Lakeshore Walmart to do this, and the salesman was not helpful, only sold me the Straight talk package and sent me away. I changed out the SIM card, and tried to get service on my own using my computer. Didn't work. I thought--"go to another Walmart on Saturday and don't leave until this gets done". So I went to the Montclair Road Walmart today and explained all of this to the two young women working in the electronics dept. They started with " you should send off for a new SIM card, to Straight Talk or whoever, because you bought the one that is for "bring your own phone". If so, then why did the other Walmart sell it to me? I brought my own phone. Shrugs, then they used their landline phone to call the Straight talk help line, first connection was terrible, couldn't hear, and connection was cut off after about 5 minutes. They then used another phone to call them back, and I had a better connection with a foreign woman, but she was the one who got me back on track. She had to remotely "neutralize " the SIM card I had put into the phone since it had somehow synched with the old number, then she issued me a new number, and we checked it out using my little cell phone (Tracphone ) and it worked. After all was said and done, at least 30 minutes on the phone with Straight talk. When concluded, I looked around and all of the sales/customer service people were gone. I had wanted to look into getting a case and a new charger, but they were gone. I retrieved my cart (with a few groceries in it) and "someone" had put a box of the old board game "SORRY" in the top section of my shopping cart. An attempt at an apology? Or a statement of how sorry the technical service is at Walmart. I left the game behind and finished my groceries. Conclusion: Walmart is fine for groceries and pharmacy, but absolutely nothing else. I would put zero stars if I could. SORRY!!! Not. At my age, I would like to remind those two very young women these things: 1. I can tell time using a clock on the wall. 2. I survived DOS, Windows 3.1, Vista, Lotus, Word Perfect, and numerous other computer programs that have come and gone. 3. I can still read and translate the ancient texts that were taught to students in the sixties and seventies (cursive). 4. I don't need a Map finding App to find my way as long as I know where North is. read more

I avoid this Walmart like the plague. The cashiers are always rude, they do not know how to greet the customers, and they are always frowning. I would rather pay a few cents more and shop at Publix or Winn Dixie a half a mile down the road than go here. This is a really horrible store. The worst experience each time I have gone there. My last time to ever go to this pharmacy was today! The best way to describe this pharmacy is incompetence. Forget about getting anyone on the phone to speak with, not happening. Calls go unanswered..... Pharmacist are extremely rude and abrasive. Frankly, they don't care if you do business there or not. The operator, Casey, has good intentions. However, he can't always be there and when he is gone, the place turns into a customer service disaster. The only reason they are in business is because people have the perception they are the cheapest. Shop around people. Save yourself the heartburn! If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more
