On the 25th of Apr 26 i made a large purchase at Walmart in Boerne. I returned part of the purchase. I slid the card I used. I was told the card had not been used since 17 Apr. Fortunately my receipt was in the car. It showed the purchase. But the system still did not find the transaction. My card number was at the bottom of the receipt. They wanted me to Come back the next day? No. They said they can't give me cash back. Oh yes you can. I have a receipt that proves the purchase and the money was removed from my account. They finally gave me my cash back. read more

Like most people, I shop at Walmart about once a week, spending about $175 - $260. All staff were always helpful the few times I needed assistance. Some even went out of their way, to stop what they were doing and walked me to the exact location. It wasn't necessary but it was appreciated. One afternoon, I was in Boerne, TX, and stopped at the Walmart there to pick up my groceries etc. Everything was fine until the end of my purchase when I remembered that I needed about $50 in cash. D'oh! I had kept reminding myself the entire shopping experience to ask the cashier for the cash. And, I had forgotten. Golly gee! I had paid by Credit Card and since the transaction was completed when I told the cashier of my dilemma, she told me I had 2 options. 1 was to wait until the next transaction was done, make a small purchase & do what I forgot to do previously or go to their "Customer Service" where they could help me right away since there was no one there. Easy enough, we were directly across from there & there wasn't anyone there except for 2 employees. Immediately i went there, expecting a simple transaction & off I'd go. Imagine my shock when the woman I approached looked at me as if I was crazy to ask for a cash advance along with a purchase. I explained to her what had happened, that the cashier had recommended to go to "Customer Service" but she wasn't listening. She saw my cart that I had made a substantial purchase but she said no. WTF! Later that day, I wrote a similar letter to Corporate or what I had hoped was Corporate. The response I received a few weeks later was from someone who told me that they had a special form for me to fill out. He/she enclosed the link. They got exactly what they wanted. Overall, I usually have no problem shopping there, but today was a different story. I had to buy some gift cards for prizes for games so I had 10 that I needed to be $5 and 4 that I needed to be $10. My medical insurance drug plan says Walmart is the cheapest overall for the ones I take. So I came by today to pick up some items from the pharmacy. Not good. Right now, only the grocery entrance is open so if you are handicapped and need anything from that end of the store, you are out of luck. The woman I spoke with in the pharmacy was of NO help. Yesterday I tried 3 times to get help in Sporting Goods since they lockup the items I wish to buy. Never got any help because the person that works there was not working that day according to the manager I spoke to. Today I went to the Sporting Goods, and no one was there so I went to automotive and asked if they would page someone to help me, this page is supposed to be heard by all employees. Tried this 2 times then I started walking to the front of the store and met 3 employees that were in the isle near sporting goods. I asked them if I could get someone to go to sporting goods. Needed to restock on some items for the motorhome. So off to Walmart we go. This seems to be a fairly new one. A supercenter so had everything we were looking for. My husband only eats sprouted wheat bread, which we have found in a few Walmarts around the country. Yeah, this one had some, it was their last loaf. Produce section was fresh and well stocked. Clerk was very nice. Unfortunately though she wasn't paying attention and put our container of orange juice on top of our bananas. We decided to not take them as they were obviously bruised up. My husband and I just had to argue with the cashier who was rude and irrational to put it lightly. He forgot his wallet, I had mine and we went shopping with our two children under the age of four, buying all sorts of household items, groceries, etc amounting to over $300, and she tried to argue about us buying a bottle of wine, when I showed her my ID and I was the one purchasing the items, saying my husband had to provide his ID as well. We're both 36 years old, and look it. Yet she wanted to be on a power trip and tell us she couldn't sell us one bottle of wine with only one ID. I'm sorry but I'm in the service industry and if there is one thing wrong with someone's experience after spending $300, we do everything we can to make sure they come back, comp their items, give them gift certificates, or at least an apology. I am leaving this rating not for the store but for an individual I believe to be a stocker at the Boerne Superstore named Matt. I came in there this morning which is highly unusual as I always shop at H-E-B but they were out of the only cat food my cat will eat and Walmarts website said they had plenty. When I got there I was surprised to see that they had finally updated their service carts for us handicapped individuals as the couple they had before were terrible. Anyway, I get back to the pet department and lo and behold there was none of the cat food I was there for. So I start asking around and I finally see Matt working. As soon as I address him he immediately stands up, comes over to me and gives me his utmost attention. I asked him if there was any chance they might have some in the back. He takes a picture of a box that's very similar to what I'm looking for and starts crawling on the ground (something I can't begin to do) and pulling out boxes to check behind them and after awhile of doing this aye caramba! He strikes hold and finds exactly what I'm looking for. He got all dirty, he crawled on the ground, and he did it all with a big smile and showed me the utmost kindness and respect. That not something I see that often anymore. So, if the managers at Walmart Boerne, ever see this, you've got one hell of a good customer service rep in Matt. Honestly I hate going In Walmart, but after going I'm there the other day I kind of changed my mind. The guy in electronics was super helpful, and I wish I would of gotten his name. He went out of his way to help me and I appreciated it so much. I've never had a problem with their self checkout either. I have also never gone through an actual register before, but from what I've heard the employees are not great. I would recommend Walmart for anyone trying to get non food items or smaller orders because it is very easy to get in and out of. Bigger selections for food and nicer employees are at H‑E‑B. The automotive place here sucks they took over 2 hours to fix my car and i had to wear the mask which made it miserable i almost passed out so I literally had to sit on the toilet just to take my mask off to breathe. I have a infection that gets worse if I start to get hot and sweat so it got worse and on top of that idk why y'all hire people who can't hardly speak or understand English cause it was hell trying to talk to the person. Walmart does not have as many food products as HEB, but it has all the necessary ones -- readily available and fresh! Plus it's got a variety of vitamin, garden, cosmetic, household and clothing items for a one-stop trip. It's a quick in-and-out -- makes my shopping a breeze! read more

We went to Walmart to pick up some kitty litter and maybe some yarn if they had any of my favorite brand. As I was walking around the pet area I decided it might be nice to check out the fish as we had been talking about getting a fish to entertain our pets at home with a nice tank set up. Before we picked out our tank though, we decided to check out the fish to pick one out. Well, quite frankly, I was absolutely appalled by what we found. I understand fish seem insignificant and I am no bleeding heart. However they are living creatures who deserve a good quality of life and maybe a little respect. Walmart obviously does not agree though, many of the tanks were littered with dead fish. One tank that was definitely overcrowded with fish had several dead Angelfish on the bottom. There was also a skeleton among these being nibbled away at. Another tank had several little gold fish, dead, on the bottom, also being eaten. Each tank had a thick layer of grime along the glass and bottom. There were piles of food (well why would they touch the food when they could just eat their dead buddies?) . Many of the fish seemed listless. The betas were not any better. Some of them had barely any water in their containers, many seemed to have fin rot. They were unmoving. I have had several beta growing up and they are not a listless fish. The sink was filthy and all the supplies were stuffed and ready to topple, the entire station was stained and grimy. What is worse, I tried to alert employees but I could not find a single one in the area. I was done. I wont be returning. This was eye opening. Clean your fishtanks , Walmart. read more

I ordered Christmas cards online and have been waiting for them to arrive since December 14th. It is now December 20th. The staff at the photo center, while friendly is not helpful. They don't know how to do their job effectively delegate or get answers. Instead of finding out when my cards would be delivered they gave me the 1800 number to call myself. The same person is not there everyday, so each day I am having to explain that my cards have not been delivered. The final result. My cards were lost. This they tell me five days before Christmas. The staff in this store play dodgeball with customers. I went to pickup an item I ordered online and it should've taken no more than 5-10 minutes to do this; It took between 30-45. The gentleman behind the register took forever to pre-order an Xbox One that it turned out couldn't be pre-ordered and all the while employee after employee walked by and not a single one asked if myself or the lady behind me needed help. Worst WalMart in the SA metro area. Customer service is non-existent. During the COVID-19 pandemic we've tried to use their curbside service. Have had to schedule 4 trips to pick up orders placed on line since Saturday (4/25) just to get needed items. Today is attempt #4 since 4/25 and its only Thursday (4/30). Found repeatedly that they will delete items from your paid orders even though you can go on line immediately after picking up your "available" items, and you will find not only are the deleted items still in stock, but in multiple quantities. Have reordered such items for pick up the next day and miraculously you get them the next day. Wait times in their parking lot are beyond ridiculous. Arrived a few minutes before appointment time all 3 visits so far. 1st visit waited 20 mins after letting them know I was in pkg lot before attempting to call them to find out where my order was. They don't bother answering the phone. This was after noticing they were serving customers who drive up after I got there. After 40 mins flagged down a Curbside worker, recognized her voice as person I spoke to on the phone 40 mins earlier to notify I had arrived & based on her reaction it was obvious she had simply forgotten I was even there. 2nd visit was worse. Waited over 2 HOURS in a hot car in their pkg lot before finally getting my order. Same issues with them not answering their phone once you let them know you've arrived. Don't bother calling store main #, because all they'll do is transfer you back to Curbside so they can continue to not answer the phone. 3rd visit (yesterday, 4/29), only had to wait 30-35 mins. Again, several unsuccessful attempts to reach someone by phone. Once the girl finally brought out my groceries, and since I had ordered some items new to us, I asked her if anything needed to be refrigerated when I got home. Her response was "no," nothing. Wrong! After I was able to unload the groceries over 2 hrs later, checked the label on one item as I was putting everything away. Lo and behold, the expensive substituted soup had to be kept refrigerated! I'll bet they didn't keep it cold after pulling my order either. Into the trash can it went--don't need food poisoning! On top of all this, in this time of pandemic and increasing number of COVID-19 cases in our area, it was noted that during these 3 visits, Curbside employees were either wearing masks pulled down below their chins when speaking to customers or no mask at all. Makes you wonder if they bother to wash their hands or clean the store during the extra hours dedicated to this during this time when they have reduced their hours to accommodate this practice. I called the store today to speak to a manager to address these concerns & once someone finally came to the phone, I got nothing but a litany of excuses. These included that they have ALOT of customers who can't hear and READ LIPS so they pull down their masks so they can talk to them. Two hour wait in parking lot--oh that's because they have so many customers who schedule appointments but decide to ignore their allotted time and just come whenever they want. So because they're so busy taking care of these rude people, the ones who abide by their policies get the privilege of waiting 45 mins to 2 HOURS after arriving a little early or on time, to get their pre-paid orders brought out to them. Due to the lack of apology from this "manager," after listening to her endless list of excuses (mainly that these problems are all caused by customers--their employees are NOT responsible), we decided to cancel our 4th order a few hours before today's appointed time. Of course it took an act of Congress to get someone to answer the phone who promptly cut me off telling me they were pulling my order before I could even tell her I was calling to CANCEL the dadgum order. So I had to start all over again with more phone call attempts. Finally got through and cancelled it. Of course I'm still getting email notices that my order is ready for pickup almost 2 hrs after cancelling it. And I am privileged to have them keep the "hold" on the funds in my bank account for up to 5 business days. I'm taking my business back to Target and HEB. They don't keep you waiting, and although they may be out of some items due to the hoarders out there, at least they treat you like they appreciate your business. read more

5:30 PM and it's the holidays. Lots of people grocery and holiday shopping. Walmart like usual thinks 3 registers are enough. Lines are about 7-8 people deep with super slow cashiers. Also unlike grocery stores that have baggers, walmart is too cheap to hire baggers. So the cashier has to do that too slowing down the transactions even more. After standing in line for 11 minutes and the line only moving one person, I abandoned the cart. Not going to stand there for an hour due to Walmart's greed and incompetence. read more
