They cannot give money due to a Walmart app problem which translates to a customer problem. Sandra walked away stating it's not her problem. I shop at this Walmart regularly, and although I was really happy when it first opened up, there's a few things that didn't sit right with me recently. The biggest of which was realizing that a lot of the food they put on their shelves is past their expiry date. Last night I went there to grab a few items real quick for the house. After I grabbed the non dairy yogurt, we went over to grab hummus. Problem was, I couldn't find a non expired hummus even though there must have been 20+ tubs there. Expiry was not recent either unfortunately, it had been at least a few weeks. I just put it back down and walked away, but got curious and checked my yogurt as well. All three of the yogurt packs, which were all different flavors, had also expired with an expiry date from October. As a regular shopper, seeing this kind of stuff is fairly concerning. I visit this Walmart often because it's closest to my home. However, I've been accused of stealing twice at self check out. While I'm still scanning items. I've had to Walmart associates stand behind me as I scan my items and before I'm even done they are questioning me and stopping the screen to ensure I got each item. There isn't anything in Walmart that I can't afford. I have no reason to steal. The first time it was a $7 baking pan and this time a $12 blow dryer. Not sure if it's because of the color of my skin or my hair but I am upset and I don't ever want to go back again. read more

I really like this Walmart. It's a fairly new store, and is very clean. There is a Subway inside, which is very conenient. It's never a madhouse like the nearby HEB can be. The parking lot always has plenty of spaces, especially handicapped slots. Employees are cheerful and helpful. They have a decent garden center that is better than HEB. There is a greater variety of tools and plants available here, and the plants look healthier. They don't have local foods like HEB does, and their store brands are not as good as HEB Hill Country Fare. They do have a lot of national brands in the frozen department - far more than HEB. Since this is Walmart, you can get clothing, underwear, toys, etc. That makes this a very convenient place to shop when you need more than just groceries. read more

This Walmart location will sell you moldy fruit. They do not do their job when it comes to ensuring quality fruit are being sold to people. I usually don't leave bad reviews until my third bad experience and today was that day. I went to this Walmart location last night at 7:32 pm to buy raspberries for my kindergartner daughters school lunch and come to find this morning at 7:15 am there is mold on these berries. This is the 3rd time I've discovered mold on fruit bought literally the night before the very next day from this location. It gets quite annoying because I'm not someone with a lot of money and I've had to throw away fruit because someone else who's job it is to ensure quality is just not doing that job. I'm headed to Walmart now to exchange these which is a waste of time and gas so exchanging them and going back still cost me money. Very annoying how lazy and uncaring the employees are. I've ordered delivery from this store 3 times. The first order was delivered to someone else's house (not even on the right street), as evidenced by the photo taken of my order sitting on someone else's porch. The second order arrived fine. Tonight, 4 sodas out of a total of 16 items were delivered (also as evidenced by the photo taken by the delivery driver of Mt. Dew sitting on my front porch). No idea who got my other 12 items, but it was not me. I have now spent more than an hour trying to get someone at the Leon Springs store to answer the phone to resolve the matter. No go. Racial profiling sadly is everywhere. I work in the medical field and live a comfortable life. I also have integrity. Have never stolen once in my life. As a black woman I should be used to this as this isn't the first time this has happened and surely won't be the last but I plan to always call businesses out if and when it happens. We are new to the area and I liked this Walmart for the short lines relatively and seemingly friendly workers. 2 weeks ago however I went in to purchase diapers and other household items. No problems while in the store. Checkout was a breeze and the cashier was nice. While exiting the greeter stated he had to check everyone's receipts. I was like OK. Hadn't had a greeter check my receipt in a long time but remembered they did that years ago. I waited outside the door to see if everyone was being checked and sure enough they weren't. Only me. I don't have to tell you the ethnicities of the other people I speak of. I asked the greeter why he didn't check the persons receipt after me and he claimed he had already done it. Not true. I got into my car and headed home. Drove slowly by to see if he checked the next guy coming out and sure enough the guy was able to walk right out holding his unbagged items. I prefer not to release the name of the greeter as he was elderly and I would hate to compromise his job. I do however think someone higher up may have instructed him to do such profiling and so I will not blame the "little man." read more

Monica the older lady working at the customer service department is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I am beyond upset and I hate complaining but this needs to be addressed. I wanted to swap bikes because the first one was so bad. And instead I got a refund for which she refused to help me with. We paid for a new one and MONICA ran to the entrance with loss prevention to embarrass my husband and publicly HUMILIATE him. Falsely accusing a customer of stealing is the worst someone can do. Several incidents happened at this location that I am very upset and to the fact I'll never shop at this location anymore. Through this pandemic everyone is a little crazy, yes including myself. I work in the medical field so my hours are long. The first incident that happened was I was shopping mid day during all this getting the things I need. They only had one lane opened and people where forced to use self check out. I get that, they want to limit contact with their employees totally understand,no big deal. That being said there was a line of people waiting for a machine to open up. The guy "employee" was talking to everyone as if they where an idiot saying " 6 ft, find your square people" and for the most part people where in their "squares. " it's my turn to go scan my items as I'm scanning the employees comes up and says here let me help you scanned his bracelet and put the amount of how many cans I had...no big deal then walked away I continued scanning my stuff. Well of course the little side table where all your bags are, mine was getting full and the last two items I scanned where pretty big boxes so I scanned them and placed them back in my basket, this employee loud and clear came up to me and said scan these again you will not steal today...EXCUSE ME WHAT? I was livid, it was hot in this store my anxiety got the best of me and I snapped back and said first of all 6 ft MF SECOND OF ALL I DID SCAN THESE LOOK (pointed to the screen) and third of all you wanna help get your A$$ over here and help let's go! He looked at my screen and apologized but the fact he had the nerve to tell me that and say it loud and clear where everyone can hear I was embarrassed. I sure did make a scene and a$$ of myself but that was not okay for him to treat me that way. I then went to talk to his manager and she apologized and said she would talk to him. Then today!! Lawd!! Again I am work in the healthcare I just got off work needed just a few things for my face to help with the bruising from the face mask I'm wearing at work and I get out of my car and walk towards the door there was someone else behind me as well. There was an employee standing by the door and he said we are closed. He had his face mask on so it was kinda hard to hear but I repeated what he said just to be clear and he said "Yes read the sign"...FLASH BACK EXCUSE ME SIR I DID NOT KNOW THAT!! Wonderful brand new Walmart! If you live in between DeZavala in SA and the town of Boerne this location is great. I live in the Med Center though but like to check out new places and the drive was worth it because it was all I imagined it to be. Nice and pleasant people work, live and shop at this Walmart so I might find myself all the way over here every now and then. All the items are well stocked and priced fairly. Lots of new stuff I noticed is for sale here at this location as well. Plenty of safe parking. read more

This a super-nice, new store and unlike most Walmart locations it actually feels smaller on the inside than it looks on the outside. The three times I've interacted with the staff, 2/3 of the interactions they were pretty helpful, which is a huge improvement over experiences I've had at other stores in the past. Two things that stick out as odd to me - firstly, they do not carry ethnic hair care products at this location at all. Even in the Neighborhood store which is like 1/3 the size, they have a small 4-foot section of just "Multi-National" (their words, not mine) care products so I found it an interesting omission for such a large footprint store. Secondly, I really wish they would stock drinks better - the lemonades come to mind immediately which they were out of and the employee working that area didn't seem to know when these would be back in stock. Also, along the same lines, I wish they carried the Peach Lemonade Ice Sparkling waters and/or offered for you to buy the Ice Sparkling waters (Strawberry Lemonade and Peach Lemonade) in box sets of 12 -- the difference being, if I could buy a box I would scan a single barcode at the self checkout versus having to scan each bottle (and you do have to do each bottle because if the weight of what you've scanned and what you bagged does not match, the self checkouts stall and require an override). Also another weird thing, they don't have any baskets inside, so if you're that customer (like me) that has a tendency to go in for a couple of items and walk out with quite a few more, you'll want to grab one on the way in (the least they could do though would be to stock a few of those smaller shopping carts around the store and you would probably see a nice lift in revenue just from that - the reason I avoid carts in the first place, is it tends to keep the amount of stuff I'm buying down as I know I'm going to have to carry it around the store). read more

if you live in the Boerne area and have found yourself in the local Walmart and wonder how can a few miles make such a difference. The Boerne Walmart is dirty, fruit and veggies are old and some rotten. The isles are cluttered. The staff is not friendly nor any help when you can pin one down. For about 6 months I've been driving to this new location. Its clean, it smells good there fruits and veggies are fresh, isles are wide not cluttered and the staff is friendly and helpful. Normally at the Boerne location I am in and out quickly with just what ever I needed. The new location I actually am never in a hurry. Yes, I will drive 10 minutes to shop in a clean well stocked store and all the grocery items are in the grocery side. Only complaint is those darn self check out. Why do I want to buy from them and then be there cashier. I have asked for them to open another lane if needed and have no problems. read more

Extremely offended by store security personnel that choose to surveil a "mature" customer having trouble finding the unposted price of a hardware item instead of simply offering to assist them or find them someone to help. Even when security person (wearing a Walmart vest) was approached, they offered only a distrustful look, did not speak at all and went to put another garment over their store vest. Further, a conversation with the store manager about the matter was dealt with in a professional manner; however, I went away thinking I had only been patronized by a person that had no plans (or made any assurance) to act on the information I shared....there was NO request to identify the security person. read more

I am updating my review because I am just so upset today for the lack of employees to help shoppers in this store. My mother and I went shopping, and at check out, the machine wasn't processing card spices/chips that well and she had to swipe about 10 times and use a different card just to check out. I told my mother I would check out and meet her in the car. The man scanned my items and then I told him my first swipe would me a SNAP (food stamps) card, in which I've never had issues with anywhere but THIS SPECIFIC WALMART, SEVERAL TIMES. I had $31 on my SNAP card and he kept telling me I had no money on it and that I was declined. So I asked if I could just pay cash, and he said no because we had to WAIT on a manager. It took literally 15 minutes to wait for a manager to arrive to the front of the store. The line was building up, and the checked was just constantly talking about my SNAP card out loud (as if the world needs to know I'm poor and need food stamps) and people started to stare. Finally, the manager comes and informs the checker how to process my SNAP/Lone Star card CORRECTLY and he said sorry because he hasn't done it before. You guys don't teach people how to process SNAP cards? Really? REALLY? For the leftover balance I paid cash because I only knew we'd have more issues if I used my debit card. This store needs to seriously update the card swipes and HIRE MORE PEOPLE. Having only TWO CHECKOUT LINES open is RIDICULOUS. God forbid you have a question or can't find something in the store because there's NO ONE AROUND to ask questions to. I feel so upset. I'm embarrassed for holding a line up for God knows how long. The hours are misleading. Customer Service is only open until 10pm. No returns or exchanges, even for defective items they have sold you. And they will be smug and rude about it. They will gladly take your money, however, until midnight. Walmart's long legacy of substandard customer service is proudly carried on at this location. This is a new store in 2016, near Leon Springs, though the store receipts say San Antonio. The store is very clean, the greeters friendly, and the store associates always cheerfully drop what they are doing and personally help me find even the smallest item - most recently, a simple fly swatter. The Pharmacy Department is exceptional. I have transferred all my prescriptions here. Ask for Linda! She goes out of the way to assist and advise on prescription needs and options. She and all the rest of the pharmacy staff always have a smile and always make sure I know what I need to know about my prescriptions. The most convenient Subway in the area is also located here in the store. read more

I never thought that I'd be giving a Yelp review on a Walmart, especially since before a couple of months ago, I'd never really even been in a Walmart. My BF and I have been traveling the US for 4 mos, so now WM is a common stop for us. That being said, this is my first and only visit to this store. We came here on a Sunday morning, so the place was pretty dead and quiet (yay!). The bathrooms were the cleanest and probably newest and spacious out of any WM I've been to, AND they even had hooks on the inside doors of the bathroom stalls to hang your purse, etc. A luxury these days, I'm telling you. Upon check out, we had a few items that we needed to be removed from our "shopping cart", as they were priced incorrectly, or not at all, therefore we were unsure of the prices until we got to the check out scanner. So, the guy working the self checkout area was named Aymen (I hope I got the spelling correct). He was fantastic! Very nice, helpful, patient, and accommodating. He was a really fantastic employee and worked very hard to make things right for us. This review is mostly about him. I hope his supervisors know what a great employee he is!
