I used to eat here regularly, but it's been a few months, they have cancelled the curbside service, and I called in a order, and went to the handicapped parking space , called to get the food and said " my name and I am in the handicapped parking area " the deli guy tells me they quit the curbside, I replied that I can't walk , he said they don't have curbside service anymore and I need to come in side ! This has been a favorite of mine to stop in and get a great lunch everytime I am visiting Beorne. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. We were met with a rather unfriendly man taking orders when I ordered $80 worth of sandwiches and I was very disappointed. The reuben had little to no corned beef and was all sauerkraut. They also had put lettuce which i have never seen on a reuben sandwich and we had not asked for. The Viva Texas had one slice of turkey and was mostly lettuce and red onions. We ordered a child's sandwich of ham and cheese and it was one slice of each. I have no problem paying good money for a great product but what I received today was not a great product for top dollar. The only saving grace was the lovely girls working at the checkout counter. They were so pleasant and friendly and would be the only reason I want to go back. read more

The front is like a general store food shop but I'm back is a deli stand with some amazing sandwiches. I had a Brie and green apple sandwich with fig spread. Just when I thought I knew Boerne, bang, another off the beaten path eatery. I had been dismissed of Epicure because it seemed like expensive food shop for jams, sauces and such. So I was surprised to learn it also had a relatively inexpensive deli at the back of the store! Who knew?!?!! Well, certainly not me. But at a friend's suggestion, I ate there for the first time this past weekend, and it was totally worth it. We shared a bbq beef jalapeño sandwich in a pretzel roll, which was their lunch special, and each of us had a tortilla soup. Both food items were incredibly good. I don't usually go for beef items, much less bbq. Just not my thing. But this sandwich was excellent. Perfectly sliced meat, the sauce was not too bbqy, and just the right amount of heat. The soup was thick, full of meat and seasoned perfectly. I just can't brag enough about this meal. At $15, I did think it price was slightly over, but most of their food starts at a lower price range. Ultimately, prices were very reasonable for the servings and food prep. And the location! So perfect! They have seating outside the back of the shop, and with the slightly cooler weather, it worked perfectly. I think the only issue might be when we're in our hot weather season,mostly because the area doesn't have much in the way of shade. But for this trip, it's was ideal. Quiet, relaxing and enjoyable. It had the feel of a secret Boerne lunch place. So if you happen to visit the area, I really think this might be worth a visit. read more

So I have relatives living/recovering from knee surgery in the area of this establishment so I was quit surprised that such a high brow place would not deliver nor do they allow Uber delivery. I called and was advised that they don't do Uber but they would check with the chef. Nope, you have to come get it. I live in Florida as I told you on the phone- I was calling to provide food for someone recovering from knee replacement, wait, let me drive 20+ hours to pick this bougie food up. Now it is filled with unhappy people yelling "Jesus" to each other and hardly caring about their customers. Maggy is so monotone unless she's yelling the Lord's name in vain. And the others walk away from you as you ask them questions. The only positive thing I have to say about the store is the deli, they are all very sweet and try their best to be accommodating for allergies and wait times. This place is awesome! My friend and I stopped in during a lunch break. I love that they have easy things to grab, like ready made sandwiches. They also have a variety of drinks and chips to go with their sandwiches. I decided on a broccoli cheese soup, kombucha and chips. They have plenty of specialty groceries that I wish I had time to really explore. They also carry Young Living essential oils. I'm bummed they aren't open Sunday so I won't be able to explore it more tomorrow and enjoy more tasty food. My broccoli cheese soup had hearty chunks of broccoli and carrots and came with homemade soup crackers. It rocked! The Viva Texas and Main Street Reuben are our standard order when grabbing a lunch. The prices aren't necessarily cheap but the quality justifies it. It's $10-12 for sandwich and includes chips. 5 stars on food Service, 5 stars. Service?? At a Deli Counter?? Deli is a very small part of this store and the counter is in the back. This is High end gourmet market for spices , sauces, cooking ingredients and stuff I've never heard of. Portabella Jerky was a featured sample when I was there today, need I say more?
