*** Pit stop review (Brawley) *** Needed to take a break and pick up some supplies. This Walmart location is just the place. I remembered stopping here a few years back when it was newly built. The facility is huge, with super wide isles, and very clean and organized. The location is right off of the main road, Hwy 86. So there's no need to make extra turns to travel too far inland. If you're passing through it's a nice place to pick up supplies. Here's what I liked... * New facility. So everything is very clean and organized. * Easy access off of the main highway. * Easy access / pull-through parking spaces. A lot of available spaces to choose from. * Really friendly people in the area. It seems like Brawley is a working-class agricultural community. There is definitely something about small towns where both the store patrons and the employees are friendlier than usual. For example, the employees are very helpful in finding items. I had a car actually stop to let me cross the street. I received an "excuse me", a "pardon me", one "thank you", and a "hello". This is all in one visit to the store! What the heck??? I've gotta say, I've been having a sh*tty week. This is pretty nice to see :-) Here's what I didn't like... * Too bad nicer people are 200 miles away from home :-) ha ha ha... * Hmm... I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about? I had a really good experience. * Nothing else comes to mind. Shopping area = clean and organized. Walmart Supercenter - Grown out roots rude employee - Department Stores Near Me - Brawley, California

I'm from Los Angeles but my family lives in Imperial Valley and when going to visit my family we always come to this Walmart Supercenter but this past memorial day weekend I had the worst service ever. Let me start, my little niece saw a blouse she liked but was unable to try it on since the fitting rooms are currently closed due to COVID. I asked the employee sitting on the fitting rooms playing with her phone if it didn't fit if I could return it the next day and she said yes. Not telling me about their new COVID policy. We came the next day to try to return it and customer service was kind of rude pointing at their new policy that was in small print and was only able to check it there. I asked to speak to the store manager and I could hear on the radio that the manager was MIA and I had to wait over 20 mins to speak to the "assistant store manager" that was not helpful at all. He just said that the person at the fitting rooms lied to me and that signs were posted all over the place. That is very unacceptable. You don't say that to a customer!! BS!!! They only have some signs but none at self-checkout and if they do, they are a small fine print that no one can't read. oh man...i was craving a sandwhich so decided to do subway but i ordered online for pick up and accidentally ordered through the subway inside walmart. BIG MISTAKE! Man the waiting was brutal and literally people sitting down to wait for there order. One worker and she was alone. no disrespect but was really slow. i happened to cut in to mention im here for pick up i already paid for and app stating its ready. The worker told me she has not even started my order!! I just said to please cancel and she did not even know how to. it was terrible. She stated she is new and did not know how to do much. A lady was in front of me and the worker then told me of i still wanted them and i said well yeah but the lady is next. The lady just let me go and unfortunately worker took too long the lady left :( the worker read my receipt and said "how so you make the chicken buffalo" i was like "what!?" it was a mess... and not even some chips or a drink for the inconvenience... nothing i waited sooo long and the line kept growing. felt bad for her and idk why they would leave someone untrained all alone. but if your looking for subway there is one right around the corner next to vons and much better and more workers. its more active and the one in walmart is so quiet and seems dead as the atmosphere. read more

Almost always have 2-3 cashiers open, employees around the store are helpful but the older cashiers up front have horrible attitudes. It took two cashiers to check an ID for legal alcohol purchasing, and wanted to deny my boyfriend because they thought he didn't look like his ID. Took him 10 minutes of showing them his drivers license, older IDs, and calling other employees to be allowed to buy alcohol. I was told by an older woman cashier to leave the line and wait somewhere else because I was not 21+. My mom and I told her that my mom would be the one buying the alcohol and that I would not be pushing the cart and she told me I still had to leave. There customer service sucks bad. Really really bad. We are not from the area and I wanted to find out if they had a certain item. We called and called and called and no answer. We had to drive 20 miles out of our way to find out they don't carry the item we wanted. All the other Walmart's carry this item but this one doesn't. I'm about done with Wally World (WW) across the board. Those who say that this particular WW is "well stocked" are either on crack or happened to get that at just the right moment in time. I've never seen a WW so consistently out of stock in various items. Random goods are just wiped out due to their regressive '(not) just in time distribution scheme. Their selection overall continues to shrink like they are herding their cattle into fewer and fewer options. Go into a WW sometime when there isn't a long line at their customer dis-service counter. Note their sign proclaiming their Customer Service "standards" is facing the customers and NOT the employees, where it needs to be facing. If they didn't put up a sigh proclaiming their service standards, the customer would have no idea that there were supposed to be any. I went to that Customer Dis-service counter and asked about getting a roll of quarters. I was told "We don't do that anymore". Of course you don't. THAT would be Customer Service. Worse, go in anytime and look at how they (and any WW location) have 15 or more check out lines and only have 1-2 of them are open, not counting the dozen 'self serve' check-out kiosks-totally unsuitable for 12 or more items, let alone weekly shopping for a family. WW in general tends to have less than standard quality produce, and as another pointed out, go to their deli and see if you can find a clerk that is actually there to do their job at the counter (not their fault more than likely). To add insult to injury, one can really notice how hot and stuffy it is in that store, probably yet another cost cutting method that does not reflect in their prices and makes the experience even more tedious. I can recall when WW was a place where one could find anything one may want or need and the prices were so competitive that any lower prices on items elsewhere wasn't worth the time or effort. Not anymore. Better prices are to be had across the board on an increasing amount (if not most) items. Even if the price is decent, the habitually long waits and slow check out negates any benefit as one stands there in their stifling hot store. Forget buying Ice Cream or most any frozen items, as re-freezing after a thaw degrades most frozen items. Oh, and good luck finding a manager-and not just at this location. I've had WW employees tell me they had no idea where the manager was or when they might be around or available. From now on, the wife and I are splitting the difference by going to other discount grocery stores, of which there are now several, and then what ever other discount stores are suitable for household items. The time we spent in lines at WW is better spent going between two other stores instead of the drudgery that is the Wally World of mediocrity. read more

Went to go pickup tonight at walmart. Checked in scanned code. Pickup did not tell me to open locker. Waite 45 min for help. Pickup is supposed to be fast and better. Very unhappy with this. One on staff member asked if i needed help wish i had got her name. After waitting pickup member came entered a code and i finally got my item. This needs to be check out. I use pickup for many items and will continue to use it but i think the kiosk should be che k for proper operations. read more

It's Christmas Eve everyone needs to buy last minute things for loved ones. You are not suppose to falsely advertise that you close at 6 but close at 5 instead. Not only that, way before five even hits your blocking every entrance with carts that could cause accidents, and you have people at the door preventing you from entering. This store seems to have no clue as to what customer service is and how it works. This evening my daughter went to the deli to purchase some lunch meat and after 5 minuets of waiting with no other customers in line an employee said, "you want something" she asked for sliced meat and was told she didn't know how to do that. Another customer walked up to get a cake and the employee decided to help that customer before calling for help in the deli. It took nearly 20 minuets for my daughter to get help. This seems to be a regular type of occurrence at this store. It's a shame we live 20 minuets from the next store, however they aren't much better. I believe corporate needs to have secrete shoppers go into these stores on a regular basis and get rid of the employees that haven't a clue on how to treat customers. Of course they would end up firing 99% of their current staff and have to train the new highest the right way. So much for Walmart. They SUCK ASS AT SERVICE IN THE IMPERIAL VALLEY. read more

Brawley- Ah! I dislike incompetent people. This place has poor customer service "its a Wal-Mart" this one is worst than others though. Most registers are usually off, so there is constant long lines. (complaint to Wal-Mart already) The manager can get things done but it takes her a while to solve problems with returns, specially with things ordered online and returned at the store (she took a little over two hours to help me return a laptop once" but she helped. Brawley, El Centro, Calexico- The staff is usually blank when asked questions about anything electronic or digital "it is frustrating". You get the feel that they do not give a $h*t about the department they work in. Simple things like, do you have this in stock? can you tell me if this service is for this phone? Can you explain to me how the YouTube algorithm selects my videos? hahaha JK on that last one. El Centro- The manager here is polite and helpful. My Wal-Mart of choice, things are usually in stock and the staff have answers. Calexico- the Tax is higher in Calexico, the people in electronics hate looking for things. It is crowded with customers from Mexicali, They usually have food items for traditional Mexican food that you cant find at the other stores. Wal-mart is Walmart I go to all three in the valley and to the ones in the Palm desert area they are mostly the same. If you have issues with employees contact Walmart corporate. read more

I'll start out by stating, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE TIRE CENTER!. The inexperienced staff working at the tire center will damage your wheels, lie about it and then alter service orders to try and cover it up. The assistant manager at the tire center, Jorge, has managerial skills like I have cooking skills... none. I took my truck in for new tires on August 9, 2017. After they installed the tires and it was sitting in the parking lot, my wife and I noticed that all four wheels were damaged. The wheels had divot and gouge marks on the outside chrome. It appears that it was damaged by tools or machinery. I took photos of the damaged wheels. I mentioned it to Jorge before we drove off and he said that the damage was already there when I brought it in... LIAR! I washed my truck at home that same morning and there was no damage to the wheels. I brought the issue to the store manager, Yaya, she asked to see the truck. Assistant manager David helped me with the claim form. And he viewed the damage. He received photos. Long story short, I filed a claim with the claims department somewhere back east ( rude and unprofessional ) On August 23, 2017, fourteen days later mind you, I received a call from claims and they denied paying for the damage. They discovered a previous service order from December 2016 that my wheels had damage when I brought it in for service... ANOTHER LIE! There was no damage to the wheels until they installed the wheels. If there is an invoice with that shows damage on the notes, it was fabricated by the staff at the walmart center in order to cover their destruction and avoid paying for their mess. Do not take your vehicle to the walmart tire center. If you do, watch out for, Jorge. Take photo's and pay attention to the " notes " section at the bottom of the service order before and after they're done. Never again! You've been warned. Thank you and god bless. read more

This Walmart has so much potential but their pharmacy has horrible customer service! There are always at least 5 people behind the counter and they literally will leave you standing there and just ignore you for several minutes. No one will look at you so they can continue to ignore you. The pharmacist himself never says a word to any of the workers either but they all can see you standing there.... And even coughing they still ignore people! Its so frustrating! Several times Ive placed orders and will go to pick it up a couple of days later only to be told that there was a problem. No one ever calls you first to let you know. Ive asked to be called when there is a problem but that too gets ignored. read more
