It's a great store if you want cheap stuff and is ethically awful. They have low rent employees and save a lot of people money. The worst Walmart in the valley as far as I can see. Sunday morning they were packed with shoppers and had two cashier lanes open. I had to do the self checkout on $125 worth of groceries. I asked for the manager who then told me since they don't sell alcohol beverages until noon they don't need more lanes open. What an idiot. Today is Wednesday and now I'm back at Walmart cause my wife wants fruit and me a bottle of wine. Of course we buy more than anticipated and low and behold they have 4 cashiers working. Great ! Except they have no bags, none. I checked out with $150 worth of groceries that have to be loaded loose in the basket. And worse yet put in the back of my car, loose for the trip home. read more

Cashiers leave people standing in line. They close the lane and walk away leaving long lines of people. No one ever offers to help.

This has to be the sorriest Wal-Mart in the world. Its always packed anytime of the day, and real smelly. You can't find anything, cause they are always out of what you need. I don't understand why there are only 2 Wal-Marts in an area with such a big population. I hate having to make a any kind of here. If possible I will just skip it, and go to HEB. This is the worst experience I've had in my lifetime, Walmart Alton Gloore service department, they took more then 3 hours to change the oil and there were only 2 cars in front of mine, the technician was moving in slow motion and when I asked how much longer he said that they should off told me it was going to be 3 or 4 hours he was taking almost 2 hours on each auto to change the oil that at the most is a 25 minute job, at the most. read more

Tried their new grocery pick-up option because I had a $10 off coupon. We waited in the car for over an hour for them to finally load the groceries. I went grocery shopping at Walmart Alton Gloor (8/31/20017 approx.: 12:15pm) and as I approached the cashier she said that they were not processing credit cards but they would take a check or cash. There was a line of people that had no cash so they had to get out of line and probably abandon their groceries. A line formed at the IBC ATM to get cash out to go back in line and pay for the groceries. We all had to pay a fee to get cash out of the ATM as a result of the unexpected expense. I know credit card systems go down but is Walmart 's responsibility to informs- tell its customers at every entry point by way of sign or other methods in order to save their customer the aggravation of spending time filling their shopping carts, waiting in line, getting out of line, going to the ATM to get cash, pay an extra unexpected fee, getting back in line. A couple of angry customer stated that next time they will go to HEB. This can be easily avoided by informing the customer at the entry points to avoid aggravations. read more
