I'm having a difficult time trying to be understanding of Walmart policy. I needed a battery for my truck, hubby bought one from Walmart but they sold him the wrong one. They would not exchange bc he left his receipt at home. I work two hours away from home and don't have time to do this again til days off. I don't know what kind of theft you have at this store but that shouldn't affect me or hubby when we spend this kind of money here. Maybe he looked a little too dirty, since he went on his lunch break from work. He was not trying to get cash back just the correct size. I'm so pissed right now I'm crying. Maybe not shopping at Walmart won't affect "big guy" Walmart but the principal is us not contributing our hard earned money to this store again. The Walmart in Ceres CA has awful customer service. The store is poorly stocked and the associates aren't very visible or helpful. I picked up a couple of items and went to check-out. There were only 3 lanes open with approximately 12 customers in each lane. I waited in the check-out lane for 20 minutes before the manager asked additional cashiers to open more lanes. Every time I go to this store the check-out lanes are extremely long with 3 or less lanes opened. It's obvious the management & associates at this Walmart don't care about their customers and think of them as an inconvenience. Well they won't have to deal with me anymore because I'm taking my business to Target. If you're in a hurry, avoid this store at all cost. Do Not, I repeat, do not go to wal mart at the stroke of midnight. There's still a lot of shoppers shopping and only two cash registers open. On top of that they close down the cash registers at mignight for about 5 mins to reset the registers for the new day. It's crowed all the time. Absolutely horrible employees and service. Go online and see the item I need is available in the store. Drive there, find out they have none on display. I then find an employee and ask if they could check the back to see if they have the item in stock as online it shows as though they do. The employee tells me no and walks away. I find another employee and ask the same, they tell me they will check and to hold on; they walk away. After waiting about 20 minutes, I notice them a few isles over. I go ask if they checked and they reply they didn't. I left after that. I went home, decided to just go and order it to pick up in the store. Within about an hour I get confirmation the item is there, I pick it up, get it scanned and take it home. With how the box was, it looked the item I had ordered. For a couple of days I left the item in the bag up until today for when I needed to use it. When I tore the bag open, I realized then that they had given me the wrong item. I go and check online again to see if they have the right item in stock and it states they do. I take the item back and end up dealing with a bunch of bs calling me a liar. After explaining the situation, they took the item and told me that they were just going to give me a store credit, I told them I purchased the item with a credit card and that I have the receipt for the item. I did not want store credit, their policy doesn't permit that granted I have the receipt. After a bit of bs from them, I finally requested that they just have someone go in the back of the store and get the item. They told me they don't have it [without even checking item numbers, etc]. When I told them it's online and shows its available and has for the last several days, they finally decided to do item checking. Turns out they had it in the back but no one bothered to pull them out. I requested they get the item and do the exchange so I have the proper item in my possession. They gave me some more bs about how it's in the back, I got a bit more angry with them requesting they send someone. (Mind you, I've been dealing with the assistant manager since the start of returns because of the issue... just shows how bad they are). Well, after requesting they get the item, the assistant manager finally told the employee to go get the item, she argued then with the manager in an attempt to keep herself from walking (mind you the employee is a bit large and obviously lazy). Well, finally the women goes and get the item after about a 20 minute wait. After the item came back to the desk, I got shifted to another employee who had to been watching at the returns. She was fairly nice and friendly; probably the only decent person over at the returns at the time. All I can say, I hate this walmart; the Walmart in Modesto and Turlock; I've had not a single issue with but this one (Ceres) I've had every issue in the book with them. Will at the customer service gave us superior service today. I had to return a mattress and he came out to my car to help retrive the item, pushed it back in to the store, and completed the transaction. Extremely professional and helpful. The walmart pharmacy has horrible customer service. Snotty pharmacists, uneducated employees checking in prescriptions and answering questions incorrectly. The pharmacist manager did clear up the confusion that his first employee brought down on me but he did so arrogantly and made me feel like it was my fault. Even though I asked all the right questions the when I droped of my prescriptions, I got different answers. I'm sorry I was misinformed by your employee and you had to take to explain it to me correctly. The conversation with the pharmacy manager left me in tears. Had I got the right information the first time I asked I would have already gone back to the doctor to get my scripts. But their lack of care has potenitally cost me a unnecessary trip to the hospital. Do your self a favor and get your prescriptions filled somewhere else, the people at Ceres walmart pharmacy are there for a paycheck not because they care about anyones well being. read more

This is in regards to the pharmacy. I am a doctor and was calling to find out more information so I could help out my patient with some prescriptions. It was in the morning about 15 minutes right after they opened. The staff was not helpful, kept putting me on hold; and i was the Doctor! Then when I got through to the pharmacist, she was very rude and demeaning. She did not want to help at all, she told me to have my patient call the insurance company before she even heard what my question was. Very poor service, I can only imagine how they treat customers if this is how they treat a prescriber. read more

Only reason it gets 3 stars is because of how the situation ended. I purchased a grill online because it said there was only one at the store. When I got the confirmation email it said I couldn't pick it up till the next day and I needed it that day. I figured I could just go pick it up. Called the store and asked for a manager. He is a customer service manager, unfortunately I forget what he said his name was. I explained why I did and asked if I could come pick it up. Immediately said no, no explanation. So I asked why not? It's paid for, how can you hold it hostage? He put me on hold to act like he went to talk to someone (which was obvious he didn't). Same answer, no. I asked him if that had any in the store, I said it said you had one. He said "oh the online system is accurate, it's 1-4 days behind." That's ODD because after I purchased it I went back and looked and now it said "out of stock!" HMM (I would've just went and bought it and returned the other. He says no. I literally laughed out loud and said "did you want to go check??" He put me on hold and just transferred me to pick up. The girl there was VERY sweet and helpful. She said she would be happy to check to see if they had it but it was on the other side of the store. She took my # and said she'd call me back. Within a few minutes she called and said they had 2 and she pulled one for my order. I believe her name was Leanna, and she was wonderful! She should be the CSM! Had an appointment at the tire service at 8:00, getting 5 new tires, 4 being mounted, and it took over hour just for the first tire to come off of my vehicle once it was jacked up on their lift. Another hour after they took the fist wheel off, finally they mounted the first tire. I'M STILL WAITING!!!! It's about to hit the 3 hour markers and only 2 tires have been mounted!!!! I know for a fact it doesn't take 3 hours to take four tires off, and place new tires on rims, and mount them. Never again going to wallmart for any of my vehicle services!! read more

This walmarts auto and lube center is ridiculously slow! They told me 30 minutes and it's about to be an hour that I've waited. When I came in two of the three bays were empty and the car in the third one was being finished up. There are two workers which means they are just being lazy since I could change my own oil in ten minutes if they would just get out of the way and let me. read more

Customer service is very bad. If you don't see it don't ask for it. Just because the website says 3 in stock does not mean you are going to find it at this store. Customer service associates will just say I don't know. And asking for a manager will leave you standing there for hours. You can call and ask for a manager.
