My wife goes there every Sunday for her weekly shopping. She's been going to Raley's ever since this one opened. Every time she buys a pack of beef ribs that look great in the package, but once you open it there's always that one rib almost all bone and very little meat. I really must hate myself because time after time, I come to this store and I leave feeling ripped off. I internally beat myself up for shopping there. I do it because it's the closest store to my house... This Raley's sucks so bad I'm starting to actually like Save Mart. I will not be shopping here any longer. They had only 1 heavy whipping cream option available, and the expiry date was in two days (today is the 14th, expiry date is the 16th) yet there was no discount. I asked the manager if I could have a discount... after all, I would buy another brand I'd they had one available. No discount, the manager says something about how they will get dinged for it... so f**k me, the customer, right? The manager says that the cream won't magically go bad on the 16th. So next week when my cream goes bad, I should bring it back to the store so he can have a sniff, I guess. I loathe how this store has outrageous prices, consistently sub-par produce, and bad customer service. Their checkout lines will literally be 8 customers deep and they WILL NOT open a new lane. Why is it that COST LESS GROCERIES has better produce and service than RALEY'S???? Why does Raley's hate its customers? I used to work dairy/deli dept and I went to buy organic brown eggs and picked up 2 packs. then halfway through my shopping i remembered some deli depts are terrible at exp dates so I checked the exp date and it's 1 date past expiration. Not major but not food safety approved. I asked the guy who kept facing the eggs if they have newer dates and he said "that's all we have but you can check for the ones behind". I thought to myself "okay suuure". first of all, all the front ones are expired to "try and sell them" , second I'll check myself, third almost every pack I checked had broken eggs glued to the carton. I have Been coming here for 3 years since I moved into the neighborhood. For the most part I have had good experience coming here no matter what time I came in. Tonight was very off. Only one cashier he must be miserable cause he was rude and talking down to people. My daughter in law was attempting to buy medication for her throat. I get it she did not have her id to purchase it. She is a 25 year old active marine visiting from Okinawa . He did not only take her medication but also her water. Basically refusing her service. She had to request to get her water back from him. He was just totally rude about it. Also initially implying that I can not scan my own items separately in another scanner. Raley's is one of my favorite places to shop for groceries. You know what you can expect when you enter one - the cleanliness, amazing produce, quality meats, good hours of operation, and great customer service. The layout is nice and aisles are easy to navigate. Their selection of products is fantastic! If I am looking for a unique item for a recipe, Raley's is sure to have it where other stores would not. For that though, you pay a higher price. I do wish their prices were a bit lower, especially during this time of economic squeeze. For the most part, the staff here is pleasant and helpful. Plus, they have a gas station - how convenient is that?! I will continue to make this my most frequent stop for groceries and other goods. read more

I bought some wine at Raley's on Floyd 3 days ago and didn't notice that the screw cap was dented and had a crack in it. The wine had turned of course. I called that same night and spoke with Christina who was very helpful and told me that when I returned it, to mention her name and there would be no problem. I went to exchange it and the manager there argued with me even though I mentioned Christina's name. She didn't believe me and called her. Of course, she said it was no problem. I was told I could exchange it. I went grocery shopping and bought several more items. They were out of that particular wine. I picked one out that was a dollar more. When I went to pay she argued with me that I would have to come back when they had it back in stock. I threatened to never come back and she called Christina again. She finally exchanged it but told me that next time I should make sure the bottle isn't damaged. What about their distributor or their person who stocked the wine or the cashier who missed it too? The only time I was ever treated this rudely was at Bark'n Beauties in the same parking lot. read more

Drove out of the way to shop at Raley's for our Thanksgiving turkey as I trust the quality and farm they use to source them. Grabbed a few other things we needed (adore the look of this location) and headed to self-checkout. I won't even go into the debacle that was the self-check out line, but soon it was our turn to check out. I entered our rewards number, but it didn't discount the turkey. I asked the woman and she said we needed to clip the coupon in the app. Sure, no problem...until I noticed the app had logged itself out. I attempted passwords I regularly use to no avail. I clicked "reset password" and was told an email would arrive shortly. The email never arrived. The woman repeatedly came up to us asking what was going on and I showed her step by step that it wasn't allowing me to log in. We even tried to create a new account and received "last name and phone number in use, please log in." This went on for 15 minutes. I know it sounds insane that anyone would stand there attempting this just for the discount, but it was the principle of it all. This woman couldn't care less about the situation. I finally said, "If they're not going to help, we're leaving." I told the woman we were going to put everything back as it was totally ridiculous no one was willing to help. She looked at us and said "ok". In a world where so many things are going to s***, do better, Raley's. I can't wait for the typical "thanks for letting us know. We will try to do better" response. Got there a little after 8:00 a.m. on a Monday. Bought a fair amount of groceries. There were no checkstands open and everyone was directed to the self-check. This is inexcusable. If we had just a few items I wouldn't have minded but we had about 20 items - too many to easily use the self-check. Also, the shelves were rather bare. Looks like they may be ready to close the store. We will shop at Save Mart and O'Briens in the future where they actually have customer service. read more

Raley's is a clean and convenient supermarket. It's a large store so selection is pretty good. It's pretty similar to Safeway. It's convenient that the customer service counter has USPS capabilities, although I prefer to use the main USPS location. It would be nice to have more shady trees in the parking lot. Sorry to see that other yelpers have had customer service issues. In general, I've found the cashiers to be friendly. read more

I decided you know what I want a bag. which wouldn't matter because I paid with EBT and when you pay with EBT, you don't need to pay for bags. The guy still gave me so much attitude. A nice supermarket that is close to my home. They provide friendly service and offer gas rewards as a bonus based on your spending.

Service was awesome. Came in looking for a specific soda and couldn't find it. Asked a TM that was walking past if they could check for me, and she went to the back and confirmed they were out of stock. Collin was very rude at the checkout. We asked a simple question and instead of listening, he immediately answered without even understanding what we asked. He kept saying, "What I'm telling you is..." instead of literally waiting 3 seconds for my mom to finish speaking. He was making it seem like we were stupid and not understanding him. We just wanted to know if we could get an additional discount on a damaged fall decor item. He insisted it was marked down because of the way it was. Today i was making a trip to Modesto to go some errands & on the way back home i stopped by Raley's real quick. The first impression when i pulled up was it was a beautiful store, most the Raley's are and most of the time tend to have good products and good service. Since it was a different store i was looking for the carts etc & i noticed the sanitary station and carts we all outside. This was a little odd for a Raley's.. and when i grabbed a wipe to clean my cart tons of black dust from the ashes of past fires instantly attracted on the sheet. So it wasnt the best, w/ Covid, the fires, and just going into a store with a dirty cart. Past that, i got into the store & it was nice because they had a ton of variety. This made me excited to shop & explore. I got a lot more than i expected too. The pricing was different than in my home town it was a bit more expensive in some things im not sure if that had to do w/ being in a different city but the variety was spot on & i loved how they had the store decorated for Halloween. It was nice. But the reason i marked it down 2 stars is for what im going to explain next. So im done shopping & get lucky to be first in line at the end of the cash register towards the front. This older woman is helping me out & it was going okay, she wasnt too friendly, but things went south when i told her i had 2 orders. The orders werent complicated, there were 3 categories (water, cans,condiments) for the first order & the second just everything else. And for those who thing whats condiments? Ketchup & mustard hun lol. And this lady was being rude. She scanned the waters, then asked me to repeat my order several times. Said she couldnt hear me (bc my mask) , and then when i removed it a little so i could speak up she said ' " I still cant hear you." So i raised my voice and then she was just rolling the cans etc across the board. And her one bagger left when i said i didnt want bags didnt stack them in the cart. But this nice courtesy clerk came & helped finish the job & was really polite with me. Like the store and its products but we need to realize customer service is a big deal. I have always considered Raleys a great place to shop - specifically because of the fresh produce and meat. The people working there are extremely nice. The ambience is wonderful - so what's the problem? Their weekly specials and their Monday specials. For several months, many of their specials like split chicken breast or bread or other common lost leaders advertised weekly are not available. Their ad comes out on Wed. I shop on Monday. I was advised get here earlier in the week - I shopped on Sunday - same story. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to rush to the store just to get their advertised specials. I just want to be able to get the special when I shop. The last straw was eggs. We all know there is an avian flu situation- yet I went to Raleys on Sunday, no eggs, Monday no eggs, Tuesday no eggs. I gave up and drove over to grocery market outlet - Full Case Of Eggs. Really! Okay Raleys get your act together! I called their corporate office to ask that they work on their supply chain - I haven't heard back - prices were pretty great at grocery market outlet. Just saying. read more

This is an update to my previous review. After a couple of issues last week, I decided to give this store one more shot, and needless to say, this time around was worse than last time, and this will be the last time I visit this location. I ordered my groceries online this time, and it was a pain in the ass! I scheduled my pickup for yesterday at 12 PM, but got a text saying they were out of bananas, strawberries, grape tomatoes, and Folgers Black Silk Coffee. I was told that they were also expecting a shipment later that day, so I decided to reschedule my pickup for 5 PM. Before I went to pick up my groceries, I was told they had everything in stock and were able to fill my order in its entirety. However, when I went to pick up my groceries, they still didn't have my grape tomatoes or coffee. I asked the person who brought my groceries, she said they were all out of those items. Seriously?! How can you still be out of items despite getting a fucking shipment?! After I got home, I noticed that they shorted me on one carton of Dreyer's Rocky Road Ice Cream. I bought two and got charged for two, but they only gave me one. I called them back and told them what happened, and someone by the name of Dominique told me that I can come pick up an additional carton. Well, whaddyakmow? After I got off the phone, I received a text saying they didn't have Dreyer's Rocky Road, but had it in other brands. If you didn't have it to begin with, why the fuck did I get charged in the first place?! Disappointed, I asked for a refund on my credit card, but they couldn't give that to me either. I was told that I can only get a store credit toward future items. Why would I take that, so I can get screwed over a third time and have my hard-earned money taken from me?! FUCK THAT!! I don't know what moron is managing the store, but they are grossly incompetent and inefficient. read more

This is an above average Raley's location from those few I've visited. I came here to get a cup of Peet's coffee but I looked around the store, impressed by how big, clean, and organized it seemed. I like that this store has a separate Peet's area, as opposed to the store at Tully Road and Standiford Avenue (or the Manteca store), which requires deli employees to stop what they're doing. While many items at Raley's are somewhat more expensive than Target or Walmart, there are more selections, and it's still cheaper than Save (less) Mart. I went to buy some Bolthouse juice and coffee but they didn't have either the Multi-V Goodness or the Mocha Cappucino I normally buy...back to Target. I'll survive. They have a lot of things Target doesn't have. read more

If Raleys is willing to ignore the governors orders about masks, how do we know that they aren't ignoring other government regulations regarding food safety? I believe that your stores are still dropping the ball during this pandemic. You do not limit the number of people in the store. It is a known fact that this virus is transmitted by aerosols. The more people in a given environment in the more chance of transmission. Other grocery chains are much more responsible by not only limiting the number of people in the store but by making bank tape lines from two people are in line at any one checkstand. I believe that Raley's has a nice looking store and a very nice young man working in the sandwich area, but I am tired of Raley's screwing the public. The groceries are outrageously priced and now they are making it to where you have to download their app in order to get their deals. I had to wait for the person in front of me take 10 minutes working through this new app requirement and the trouble their system was having. It took me 10 minutes to be checked out for 5 items at 9pm at night (slow time). The people behind me had to keep switching lines but apparently the other line also had a similar issue. So if you can't afford to have a phone and do their app, then they discriminate against you and will not allow you to get the coupon deal. Come on Raley's, trying to be like a lot of the other chains that make you jump through hoops is not wise! I choose to go elsewhere to shop. If this doesn't get corrected, then my Raley's shopping days are over! Stop with the price gouging and this silly membership requirement electronically! read more

I go here for wine tasting on Thursday. No complaints on the wine selection, the knowledge of the pourer, the snacks or pricing. But dammit please wash the glasses! It's like this every week for the past 5 weeks. Look at my pics and video. Would you drink from any of these 5 glasses? The glasses have lipstick, finger prints and general dry mouth greasy slime from the last person that drank from it. Please wash the glasses. Every time I come to this Raley's I notice the same creepy girl (secret shopper perhaps) staring me down, making my shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. Above-average Raley's store, clean, large selection, clean ( ish ) restrooms, pretty much get everything you need here. A small organic foods section. Better than your average conventional grocery store. They also have the self-checkout lanes Has a bakery, deli, and a cafe and a post office. Extensive alcohol selection. Even has special ethnic foods available. I LOVE THIS STORE. Gas pump and car wash attached. They provide gloves at the pump. Some of the staff are rude, but others are nice. read more

This particular Raley's store is top notch. The layout is well conceived and both the produce and meat departments are stellar. Employees are friend and helpful. I've never had any issues with the workers. The prices are high as expected for the top tier grocery store. But hey, you get what you pay for, right? Better selection and top brands. They got it all. My only concern or disapproval is those dam self check out machines. They are so glitchy! Too many options to select. Temperamental to say the least. Bag not in bagging area when it is.Too many items in bagging area. Moved items to cart to soon. It often freezes or calls for the clerk to come and reset it. Good grief Charlie Brown! This is the worst store that someone can go to, it continues to exist just because it does not have any competitor in the area. Cashiers and sell associates are rude and they never say hi or they never help you, they are terrible people. If you go shopping after 9 pm they chase you and make you leave the store. The only reason I go there is that it is close to my place, and sometimes I have to go to work, and I don't have time to go to another store, but I am doing my best to minimize my shopping experience with those terrible people, and I do not recommend it to anyone else. read more
