I went to Walmart at 9:45 PM to buy ink for a printer I purchased from this exact location, only to be told that the electronics section was closed and no one could open the glass case. This is completely false--there is always staff with access to locked merchandise. Instead of helping, the employees just dismissed me. I'm not sure if they're tight on staffing or just ready to close but if you're going to sell electronics, at least have someone available to assist customers during the hours of operation. Poor customer service and a frustrating experience. I wish I would have gotten my printer from somewhere else. read more

The employees literally refused to price match items advertised on the Walmart.com website. It was the identical item and yes I did read the restrictions, I even asked for a store manager which apparently wasn't there. They were gatekeeping it like it was coming out of their paycheck. This Walmart is always super busy, no matter the time. I've noticed the other Walmart's in the area always wipe down the cart handles but this Walmart does not. It's often infuriating when this happens and their are no cart wipes available either. This Walmart is all self automated. I normally only go to this Walmart in case of a quick run but I prefer to drive the distance to another Walmart if I must shop for more items. read more

Don't, just don't do pickup here! Waited 45 minutes for them to bring the order out, and it had substitutions (not notified of these on app) that made absolutely no sense. The produce literally had mold on it, clear as day mold, and the employee was rude. Just a unnecessary lack of quality customer service. So sad because I love my Walmart back home in Colorado. Open up the other lines. You switched to an all self-checkout system and yet still shut half of them down, because god forbid people get through the line in a timely manner. Yet amid covid social distancing guidelines you funnel people through one side, forcing them to use the same 10 checkout lanes without sanitizing between use, all while an entire side of the checkout section remains shutdown. What kind of simple minded piss-poor management runs this place? So I bought 2 1 gallon milk jugs last week and both expire on May 27th but just yesterday I had to dump 1 out because it was bad and it was like half a gallon left so then I opened the other gallon last night well tonight I opened it to pour a glass but I couldn't drink it at all because it was bad also the day after I opened it so I had to dumped that out too and as I was dumping it in the sink there was lumps coming out so there goes a whole gallon milk this is ridiculous and unacceptable to sell milk in the store then it expires few days or a week later buying it when it doesn't even expire at all till the date it says on the jug read more

I'm a regular here so yeah I'm a fan!! Location location location is everything! ! This store is located near: a mall, several eateries including Starbucks and Target. This is my go to Walmart and it seems to never disappoint. Every now and then the self check out lines give me headaches. Nevertheless, the employees are super friendly and items stay in stock. There is a McDonald's, nail salon and a hair salon present. I haven't tried the salons, but McDonald's, Yup! You're typical McDonald's, but inside of a Walmart. Pretty much all you need under one roof. Food, electronics, clothes, toiletries, pots, pans, coffee makers, fish, pet food, hair products, lawnmowers, bikes etc. Yeah I could go on...Super Walmart is where it's at. THE WORST CUSTOMEER SERVICE EVER. If I could give the service in the electronic department zero stars I would. Today, I selected two smart TV's. Before the purchase, I had to wait to be acknowledged by the electronics woman. Who ignored me while she worked on something else. I took seven minutes while standing in front of her. No hello Sir, no I will be with you in a minute, no nothing. Then, the electronics sales rep ringed me up for the two TV's and the chip reader was down. Not excepting cards. Long story short, I had to call my bank twice because the electronic saleswoman did not change registers. I wasted 45 minutes due to the saleswoman's lack of experience. This is unacceptable. Attitude, attitude and more attitude. I was at the store today between 10:45am until 12:05pm. Please look at the schedule and take action. Actions need to be taken against this electronics department woman. read more

This is for delivery from this location. I'm a big fan of the Suffolk Walmart. I usually do all my grocery selections online then show up there on my selected day and time and they load me up. If there are any issues, they do a pretty decent job of fixing it. The groceries are fresh and typically accurate. So when I decided to do my first Walmart delivery, I had to do it through this location. It was before NYE. I had family coming. I needed about $150 worth of supplies and it was a lot easier to write it all down, order online then go back and review a few times before the window for that closed. My most important items were eggs and phyllo dough, nature fresh chicken, which they always have in the store. My delivery arrived at the very end of the 2 hr window so I felt I waited all day for it. The driver was very nice - they contract with Lyft or Uber. They forgot my eggs, substituted my chicken for a brand I didn't like, some vegetables were on the way out, like the Spring onions and royally messed up subbing my phyllo dough for puff pastry which may seem legit but was not and was the entire reason I ordered. I would have still given them a decent rating. It's what happened next that sticks with me and really turned me off to ever doing this again with Walmart. The nice driver took the time to dial her contact to let them know they forgot the eggs and she would come back for them. She put him on speakerphone. The guy who answered was brusque with her and condescending. When she politely explained she was with the customer and what had happened, he snapped she would still get paid. I spoke nicely, introduced myself then and he corrected me stating sound like two of you talking could one be quiet. I spoke again and said I am the customer. Then his demeanor flipped to a sickly, overly sweet, yet dismissive tone and basically told me that I had thrown a kink in things with my missing item and they didn't have time to bring it back out and they would contact me, hurrying me off the phone. So it was my fault they forgot my item. Did he contact me? No. Did he plan to ever contact me about it? No! I had to get in my car, go to another store, get the rest of my supplies. Then, I had to try about 5 numbers before I was connected to the delivery number. The customer service rep did take care of me. I won't ever do this again. They still have not refunded me money for the missing items or the items I didn't accept and that was 3 weeks ago now. read more

I like this Walmart. The service is great and the clearance section is always full of exciting finds for my do-it-yourself needs. Sometimes I am able to find a manager and ask for a discount for some packaging flaw or price match. I am a late night WalMart shopper and I enjoy the scenery. Smiles. The store was tidy and clean. The aisles were clear and we'll lit. I felt safe and comfortable shopping at this location. There are security guards at the door and in the parking lot although everyone seems nice. I like the new layout! I will be back because this location is close to the interstate exit. Easy on and easy off. read more

Decent wal-mart in Chesapeake square. This particular location does a pretty good job of keeping the store organized. This Walmart, like many others, is terrible at having enough lines opened when there are a lot of people waiting to check out. The McDonalds that was previously here has now closed. read more

Today I was out getting groceries at this location and there was a elderly black woman in a handicap buggy she ask for help and they told her they would send someone and they never did as I go to help this elderly lady there was four workers standing around doing nothing but talking my husband ask a male worker do they help elderly people and this young man said no they do help tell me wal mart at this location you all hire people to do nothing not been funny when we go to this store sometimes they never have what we are looking for corporate need to come down and not tell them they are here they all need customers service skill I bet if they had to cash someone out they will not be just getting a pay check this is the worst Walmart in Chesapeake Battlefield has them beat by a little bit. Aweful customer service. I went in today to return merchandise and the customer service reps didn't even attempt to help. She just quoted her store policy and looked at me like I was crazy. Funny thing is that their store policy was contradictory to what is on the website. Simply because I didn't have a receipt and the product was over $50. They REFUSED to help. My go to store especially when the other stores are closed. I hate that you may have to wait in line but try to utilize the self check out as much as possible. I did have trouble using a coupon where the clerk told me it was for a different brand on my coupon. Regardless of my coupon saying ANY brand the picture attached to the top of my printed coupon said ultimate dry and so I had to go get the bottle of shampoo that specifically said that. When I tried to scan that bottle it still didn't work and she just overrode it. So technically she could have overrode the first bottle. Whatever Walmart 1 me a bottle of shampoo not quite the style I wanted. read more

I went to the deli dept. today and there were two ladies working. One was cutting lunch meat. The other one was telling a customer that she didn't have an 8 pc. chicken ready but if he wanted to wait she would put one down for him. I patiently waited for her to do all that. Meanwhile a man came up to the counter. When she finally came to the counter, she asked him what he wanted. He tried to tell her that I was next, but she continued asking him what he wanted. I left. Customer no service at its best. The "Supervisor, " Monika, was more interested in "not arguing" instead of solving a problem. They would not honor coupons attached to a product. Coupon clearly said, " $1.00 of NOW." The Supervisors said the coupon attached on the box I was purchasing was for another product. Huh? Why would there be coupons on a product saying $1.00 off now if it was not intended for the product being purchased???? If I was the Sup, I would have performed an override, honoring the coupons.
