I was thrilled to see the TJ's sample station offering their graham cracker squares topped with their whipped carrot cake cream cheese! Uh, yes, please! I mean, who doesn't like a sample? Needless to say, I picked up a container of the whipped carrot cake cream cheese. Then, after moving away to continue shopping, I decided to turn right back around to grab another container! The nice young lady serving the samples smiled at me and told me she completely understood why I grabbed another container. Lol TJ's is always so clean and the staff is always so friendly at this location. I like finding new items every visit, and I picked up lots of sweet treats for the holiday. It was so good that I ended up buying a whole bag and it was even better than what I originally came in looking for. I also saw something I couldn't quite tell what it was, and she grabbed a single one and let me try it. It turned out to be green tea with honey in a large juice box, and it was hands down the best tea I've ever had. Amazing service, amazing products, and such a welcoming experience. Today, I decided to order their fresh bruschetta because it's not something many stores carry. I was excited to try it, but unfortunately, when it arrived, it didn't look fresh at all. Even though the container is dated to expire tomorrow, it had a milky appearance that made it look unappetizing and, in my opinion, not safe to eat. I understand that products can occasionally slip through the cracks, but I think this is something that should have been noticed before it made it into a customer's order. Whether it's during stocking, by the department team, or at checkout, I hope more attention is given to products that no longer appear fresh, even if they're still within the sell-by date. Overall, this one experience won't keep me from shopping at The Fresh Market. I am big on fresh produce, it simply is not as fresh here compared to Food Lion and even Walmart produce. Every time I buy produce it is either rotting by the next day, Kale is expiring the next day and so forth. Fresh bags of salad smell rotten when I open them, I have finally stopped buying produce here. I recently purchased raspberries, came home, opened the box, All raspberries were covered in mold that you couldn't view from the top of the packaging. I tried to order a birthday cake from their bakery only to be told they basically couldn't do any type of decorations because they did not have a cake decorator. I'm not sure why they have a cake book full of decorated cakes that they are supposed to be able to design continually displayed...Other than that, prices are ok, my husband feels it is cheaper to shop at Food Lion. We always seem to use the self checkout because we would rather not have to tip the baggers who don't let you bag your own groceries. They had pumpernickel and sourdough round loaves that I needed. They always have such a huge selection of inventory. They also have fresh sushi rolls. They also have a lot of parking spaces. Kroger is always very reasonable with their prices. The cashiers are usually nicer than most so that's a plus.

Let me tell you, I have spent a lot of time in grocery stores because my career in sales and marketing requires it. And while I have been in grocery stores across the country, I don't think I've ever been in one quite as this interesting and diverse. First of all, this is not just a grocery store, but also doubles as a diner, Café, and from what I could tell based on the indoor advertisement, a nightclub on weekends! Yeah, you heard right a nightclub. But more on that later. First, this is a very straightforward grocery store That includes most of the regular items you would expect, but with a decidedly Caribbean twist. This is by far the first grocery store that I have ever visited that had such a wide variety of jerk seasoned proteins, including chicken and beef. In addition to those specialty items they carried a large variety of additional flavors that appeal to a decidedly Caribbean audience. If you have ever seen five flavors of Sprite, including peach, please tell me where you could find those flavors! That being said, what we were really impressed by Was the restaurant. We were there during Breakfast so we were able to order from their pretty extensive cafeteria style breakfast menu. The pancakes were huge and made fresh so they did take about a five or 10 minute wait and while we were waiting. I pursued the lunch menu and noticed that they carried a wide variety of Jamaican dishes, but what caught my eye was the oxtail cheese steaks. Yep they carry Oxtail cheese steaks. I meant to come back during my stay. and order one, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it back in for lunch. I would definitely frequent this store if I lived in the area even if I didn't live nearby. That's how good of an experience this was.
