S. Elizabeth S.

Since moving to the area a few years ago, I've been here a handful of times. This is the only place I've been where it's normal to wait 30-45 minutes in line. Maybe an hour if you come at just the wrong time. Self checkouts are never open, yet you still have to show your receipt and get bag checked at the door before exiting. Worst of all, I once tried to use their in store shopping/pickup service (similar to the stellar drive up service offered across the street at Target) and it took someone an hour to come out with my bags. If you're planning to buy ice cream or other frozen/cold goods I'd suggest putting them in a cold bag immediately, so the stuff you're paying hard earned money for doesn't melt as you wait. I'd also consider sending a shopping partner ahead of you in line and then handing them your stuff after you find it. Now, I know I said that each visit here is literally a test of each ounce of patience in one's body. My most recent visit takes the cake. I got in the "line," which was an amorphous blob. Further down the way was a *slightly* separated line with a sign labeled "fifteen items or less." I only had three items, so that should've been ideal. The moment I noticed that my line branched off into the optional less than 15 line was the moment other people were trying to cut in front of me. Thankfully I was able to stop them from actually doing so. As I had to physically hold these people back, I looked around in the hopes of making eye contact with a security guaed. No such luck though. I guess they only hang out near the electronics or in the entryway. Cool. Would it be reasonable to presume that that the term "fifteen items or less" implies some sort of fast lane, or am I the crazy one here? They took over ten minutes to checkout two customers. Then after those people left, another customer took for-freaking-ever because she had... wait for it... way more than fifteen items! What are rules for? Why have a sign that reads "fifteen items or less" of that can't be enforced? Why have security guards standing around at all times if not to back up your employees, who should be enforcing their own rules?? Once again... make it make sense. So, this woman with a lot more than fifteen items took an extra long time to check out because she was still making her final selections. I saw her instruct employees to put things back, then she'd change her mind and ask them to scan something, then she'd have them put it back... again. There was a whole shelf of things she had them put back (as you'll see in the picture I've attached). This absolutely should not have been allowed and was insanely disrespectful to everyone else doing their time in this hellscape of a line/store. When it was FINALLY time for me to check out, about twenty-five minutes had passed. Remember, this store can do far worse. However, due to the constant noice of the people squished in around me and a weird incessant ringing (bell like?) sound throughout the entire store, it felt more like twenty-five years. Remember to bring your cooler bag *and* your earplugs. There were two women behind the checkout. One had just gotten there soon before it was my turn and I assume she was in training or something. That's fine, everyone has to learn! However, I wonder how good of an example the new hire was learning from... as neither of them acknowledged me at all. I know it doesn't take long to ring up three or four items but it felt rude because they were only talking to each other about random unrelated things. The worst part was when they turned to the person behind me and spoke with them, before they had given me a receipt. I felt kind of rude but I had my bag in hand and I wasn't going to wait a second longer, so I had to interrupt them. Remember, you need your receipt to leave this hellscape. I'd known that from past experiences! I was genuinely appalled and frustrated with how they didn't even ask whether I wanted it before greeting the next customer. Why was I in this wal-mart in the first place? I needed a special oil for my bike that would've taken too long to ship via Amazon. I should've just sucked it up and waited. My boyfriend wanted something very specific (a sort of niche outdoor recreational item) and it was only $10 (normally $20) for a limited time. An experience like the one I had here is not worth saving $10. In past trips, I've gone here to get (technically to replace) a well loved string toy for my cats. Now I'll just buy it online. If there's anything you can do, avoid this hellscape at all costs. Target is just across the street and it's miles ahead of this store. The food (esp fresh food like veggies) is better quality and everything is cleaner overall. Plus, they offer a competent drive up service. If you have a bad experience at this store, make sure to utilize the survey code on your receipt. I got a polite but canned response from management- could be proof that someone reads their official feedback.

Ordered a cookware set online through the app. They came today repackaged, sticky and FILTHY. Now I have to wait again for replacements.

Don't send filthy ass cookware saying it's new when it isn't. This is DISGUSTING! Now I have to wait AGAIN for replacements.

Line at checkout on a routine Saturday afternoon..

More staff. More competent staff. Worst Walmart I have been in. Took half an hour to get service in electronics. Long lines at checkout because of no cashiers. Drive further It is worth it.

Few aisles inside are obstructed (by the cleaning supplies) and are being improved. The bathrooms inside are not fully functional. Family restrooms inside are open. There are several portable toilets outside. Starbucks is mostly out of order - no ice, and no food. Several areas of the store are covered in tarp. Just be aware of not the full Target experience as you're used to it. The store is still pretty well stocked. There are a lot of new fashions for women - cute summer dresses and pants. Swimsuits and beach attire is already out. You can also find a new Pride line. I was surprised to find last year's fashions in store. There was a dress on a rack that I bought last year, and a few other pieces. I was very happy with all the clothing sales. I purchased a very vibrant "Brasil" summer shirt for $7.50! If you're looking for summer tees, check this Target. I also purchased "Papaya" sweater for $28, and a few household necessities. Also of note, Target now carries Krispy Kreme donuts in boxes! I didn't know that's an option but it apparently is. Even in the late afternoon there were a lot of donuts left! Service at the store is pretty attentive. I was able to get quick help when I couldn't find contact lens solution. All the employees I encountered were very pleasant. Overall, if you can overlook the construction, it's not a bad shopping experience. There's large inventory here and better than average customer service.

It's a good thing that we weren't there to buy alcohol because, as the sign says, you can't purchase it on Sunday. This was a surprise to me, I'm from out of town. Since I'm a Target Circle member, a nice employee told me it's Target Circle Week and gave me some popcorn. Clean store, well stocked, friendly people.

I was once very impressed with this Macy's. I was a frequent visitor years ago. Back then the store…read morewas grand, well organized, and had exceptional service. The entire shopping center and this store recently sharply declined. I was very disappointed in my last experience. SHOPPING CENTER: The shopping center contains Macy's and Target. The plaza was formerly more lively. The store has multiple entrances, and two parking lots. Surface lot parking is limited. Parking garage space is plenty. However, this parking lot is very dark day and night. It doesn't quite feel welcoming or safe. STORE/INVENTORY: The store is your typical Macy's experience with a little less dazzle. There are no seasonal decorations. The inventory is mostly in disarray. It is also very dated. I was surprised to see the styles of dresses especially. The good news is that there is a big clothing sales section. Overall, it's hard to understand the pricing of items due to signage and labeling. The inventory online doesn't reflect the in-store situation. I was looking for various pairs of shoes that were available online but not in store. Not just a single pair, multiple. SERVICE: Honestly the service is terrible in multiple ways. Beauty department has very persistent sales tactics. Even if you politely decline the perfume offers, the sales people persist. Personally, most perfume gives me headaches so I didn't appreciate the persistence and lack of understanding when this was shared. Some areas of the store completely lack service. For instance, the shoe department is completely unstaffed. You are on your own. It just seems like one area where the assistance could be valuable. Checkout is the most unfortunate customer service encounter. I approached checkout with two pairs of shoes worth over $200. I was trying to find a second shoe for the display shoe in my size. Since there was no one in the shoe area, any other departments, it was the only place to ask. There was a lot of confusion before it was sorted out that the shoe area is not staffed. I was then handed the shoe and told to go resolve it on my own and find the other shoe. There were no attempts to even pretend to look. The statement was - "we don't carry these shoes in store, we don't know about them." The sales associate kept handing me the shoe and sending me away. It was very confusing, I genuinely didn't know what I was supposed to do. Return the shoes or look again? Long story short, I went to Dillard's and had an exceptional experience. I didn't buy anything at Macy's based on this experience. I wouldn't recommend this store for positive customer experience. It was once quite pleasant but not any longer. The service is severely lacking unfortunately and needs significant improvement. There is just no customer-centric experience.

We paid $25 a person + a $40 Service Charge to sit in a freezing cold room eating grocery store cookies, drinking coffee and cocoa from a vending machine dispenser, while a nice woman coughed all over everyone (and we're still sick). Our 6 and 8 year old were bored within minutes since we ended up being the only ones there at Noon and other than a woman reading one story from a book there was nothing else to do. The Staff, especially Erik the Elf, were friendly and helpful but the experience was overpriced and the train ride we paid extra for was a joke. There was no Santa (unless you paid $60 a person for breakfast.), and no Mr. Jingeling, but there was Bruce The Spruce but the line was too long. It was really for babies and small children. There were .3 small cars that went in a very small circle a few times...boring! And the Toy Shoppe was a big money grab. It was like being at the Dollar Store (or Five and Up) with cheap toys that cost $5 and up. The entire event was a waste of time and money. I would NOT recommend!

I'm usually a customer of Dillard's for something small or in passing. It's never my destination. During my latest visit it was actually my destination for shoes. I needed sparkly sneakers for a Sneakerball, and Dillard's had the perfect pair! AMBIANCE: This store is tucked away in Beachwood Mall. The lighting in the store and the fashions make it feel like Saks or Nordstrom, not Dillard's. Meaning it's a lot more ritzy. It has pockets of high end brands, and the entire store presents very well. INVENTORY: Dillard's recently really started keeping up with the times. Compared to its competition, it's really fashion-forward. Around the holidays, I noticed that there are a lot of very trendy dresses in relevant colors and gorgeous fabrics. They are also very well styled with faux furs hugging the shoulders or sparkly boleros. There are also exciting party shoes - sparkly, with bows, and all the shimmer! You can really envision and build the entire outfit. I was really impressed with this recent shift of modernization. I even asked myself - Am I really at Dillard's? SERVICE: The service was truly five star. I was in a hurry (story of my life) and needed to quickly located the shoe department. I asked an employee at another department who provided me with very detailed directions. She was super friendly. Staff was pleasant as I made my way through the department store, smiling and nodding. My interactions at the shoe department were similarly warm. The sales associate told me she'll be right with me, immediately found the shoes I wanted, and was extremely friendly. I observed her interactions with other customers and she was providing very personalized service. It was probably among the best customer service interactions at department stores. Seriously great service. She was also as excited as I was about my sparkly sneakers with holiday lights purchased from Betsey Johnson collection. I will say that these sneakers were pricier here than at other retailers. I paid over $100. So many people complimented me on these shoes that it feels like I got my money's worth. I would recommend a visit to this store. The setup makes it feel luxe, the service is extremely cordial, and you experience can be flawless from start to finish. Honestly, couldn't find any fault in my whole time here. I plan to return shortly to look for New Year Eve dress. I'll have to first figure out what to do for NYE. Do I need Dillard's faux furs and bow bedazzled shoes? Or something more subtle?

The store is much cleaner and updated than other nearby locations. The inventory makes me pretty satisfied every time. There are a few designer brands, and plenty of inventory. I have noticed that lately plus size women's apparel inventory shrunk (especially jeans and dresses). There are no coats in plus sizes. I'm always happy with the wide range of tops (tees and sweaters) located in this store. In fact, during my last visit, I found several cute sweaters for sudden sweater weather. Currently there is plenty of seasonal decor. You can find everything for autumnal holidays - Halloween and Thanksgiving. Lots of ghost decor and even already on sale (as low as $12). Even the guards periodically working at this store tend to be pleasant. The only service bottleneck is the checkout. The checkout is always understaffed, long lines are often an issue. I like this store more than the other Marshall's in the area. I feel like I almost always can find things on my shopping list. I look forward to stopping again to shop for fall and winter gear.
