After reviewing a d shopping at multiple Giant Eagle locations, it's hard to compare but Market district is clearly a step above with friendly and welcoming staff, great prices, albeit pricey produce. Snagging fuel perks along with App coupons help out in the long run. First time coming here, needed to grab a few things while I was in the area. They definitely need to add some more personal items in their medicine aisles. Plenty of groceries at a fair price too. Ordered food through deli and prepared foods for a special family event that was time sensitive. Upon pick up found part of the order wasn't ready. Upon delivery at event discovered croutons were not on the side as requested (gluten concern) and the salad dressing was not included. To be fair the food was delicious but order accuracy and inquiry response was not. called after event and spoke with a manager who said he would address the issue and woudl issue a partial refund to our paid $245 bill. no refund was issued. Called back days later snd was told to ask for deli and prepared managers. I give up- shopper beware! Quality control issues abound! read more

This is the best grocery store in the area! They have a lot of options for food compared to Fresh Thyme etc. I was surprised they even have dry aged beef here! I was here on a work trip and I stopped here several times throughout the week in effort to eat healthy. If you like produce that goes bad within a few days then this is the store for you! Aldi and Marc's have superior produce close buy - save yourself a trip to the garbage can and shop for your produce elsewhere. This is not an isolated incident - happened many many many times. I wouldnt shop here ever again but my wife has celiac and there are certain products that are only available at certain stores. So I have to come to this place - no issues other than the trash produce they give out. read more

I liked it better when it was Giant Eagle. Now the prices are higher and everything is in a different place. Looks too dark and gray and I don't like how they redid the front doors so there's only one set of doors in/out instead of doors on both sides. read more

The old Giant Eagle was so bad,in so many ways(even for a Giant Eagle) that I stopped shopping there in the nineties even though I live less than five minutes away. The new Market District is just a re-branded Giant Eagle with higher prices and worse customer service,if that is even possible. With all the other options in the area I won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

I am so glad they did a complete upgrade to this store. Before it was really old and kinda dirty, but now it's clean and nice. You first walk in to the produce items. Before the stuff had fruit flys and was not kept, but now it's fresh. The sushi section is in a weird spot, you have to walk past the premade to find it. The store has a bakery, meat, and seafood counters. Everything is neatly displayed. They now offer a scan as you put your items in the cart option, but they still have the self checkout and employee checkout. I am so happy that I'm actually going to come back here just because it's so nice. I bought some of their premade spicy salmon and avocado rolls. For $10 I thought that it was really good. It is filling with the rice. The spice was not super hot but if you are sensitive I would purchase it without. Before I would not think twice about buying sushi but now that they redid the store I will come back here. read more

The location and selection are great but there needs to be retraining. So many times my wife and I go in and cannot find what we are looking for and there is no staff on the floor. So many times all the staff is up in front oof the store talking to each other. They need to have more staff on the floor helping people. My god. I used to like everything about Giant Eagle but just had a nightmare of an experience. The self checkout simply doesn't work. Had to wait for help 6 times and what is this "pay for bags" policy? Are you kidding me. What's next, restaurants will start charging you to use their Plates or Togo containers!!
