One of very few places to shop for women's clothing in downtown Cleveland. Shop was clean and friendly and prices were reasonable.

Small but really cool selection of women's clothing & accessories, as well as a few beauty & home items.

They also happen to be one of the more long-standing local boutiques in the city. I recently dropped in at their Tremont location after walking around in the midst of winter in Tremont, and developing a need for gloves. AMBIANCE: Banyan Tree currently has an inviting window display with a word "Joy." The storefront has two spacious rooms that feel cozy. Inside you'll find wood accents, and a comfy couch to recline while shopping. Checkout is available in the first room as you walk into the space. INVENTORY: The inventory is predominantly women's fashion. You'll find a unifying theme - comforting fabrics, sparkles, and lots of hand-knit accessories. The best way to describe the vibe is lounge chic. The clothes you'll find here will allow you maximum comfort as you venture out in Tremont and beyond. The clothing looks well made and unique while following the latest trends. The prices are on the higher end starting at about $90 something. Accessories are reasonably priced starting at $20 something. I'm not fully satisfied with the clothing inventory because the sizes go up to L and one size. I wear a plus size so I can only drool while looking at the clothing. I wish that I could also shop here and enhance my wardrobe. In that way, sizing is not inclusive. There are also smaller gifts and accessories at the store - journals, books, purses, statues, and more. Few categories have sales - ornaments and summer clothing. The sale is 40% off. MY PURCHASE: I purchased knit gloves from Banyan Tree. The price was $22. The brand is Figwood, was designed by Banyan Tree in Cleveland. It is a brand exclusive to Banyan Tree. It was sustainably produced in Bali. Imagine someone in Bali knitting gloves and knowing nothing about our winters. I find this very endearing. There are plenty other Figwood items for purchase that are made in Bali and Thailand. The gloves have a simple design but are chunky. They also have top of the glove removal so that you don't have to de-glove every single time. I found other glove designs to be awkward. They were missing top part of the fingertips which seems like the very reason you'd glove. Maybe I'm not on trend. They also have very few gloves in store due to the end of season. Seems like the season is just beginning and winter is ramping up. SERVICE: The service is attentive and personalized. I was offered assistance with glove shopping. The sales associate was really warm and friendly. I enjoyed my experience at the store. Unfortunately, I'll probably seldom stop in because the clothing sizes are not accommodating to me. I'll visit once in a while if I'm ever in need of well made accessories or gifts. Most importantly, the store is a feel good store in terms of supporting consciously made clothing and supporting women across the globe.

I always get compliments when I'm wearing something from Banyan Tree. They have an online store if like me you don't live in the Cleveland area. Their store is worth visiting though if you are in town. It's quite spacious and is located near some great restaurants, bars, and galleries if you want to make a day of it in Tremont.

We paid $25 a person + a $40 Service Charge to sit in a freezing cold room eating grocery store cookies, drinking coffee and cocoa from a vending machine dispenser, while a nice woman coughed all over everyone (and we're still sick). Our 6 and 8 year old were bored within minutes since we ended up being the only ones there at Noon and other than a woman reading one story from a book there was nothing else to do. The Staff, especially Erik the Elf, were friendly and helpful but the experience was overpriced and the train ride we paid extra for was a joke. There was no Santa (unless you paid $60 a person for breakfast.), and no Mr. Jingeling, but there was Bruce The Spruce but the line was too long. It was really for babies and small children. There were .3 small cars that went in a very small circle a few times...boring! And the Toy Shoppe was a big money grab. It was like being at the Dollar Store (or Five and Up) with cheap toys that cost $5 and up. The entire event was a waste of time and money. I would NOT recommend!

Even the Ritz Carlton is within there. What a joke. I remember they had water fountains and waterfalls, you could go to the movie theater, shop at unique places, grab some food at the food court that had great options, and enjoy the atmosphere. Now it's just a shell of itself. The place is nothing special anymore. It's just a walk through to get to the Gund or the Jake on a cold day. You call this a center, more like a ghost town with a few scattered businesses clinging on that will eventually tank. May as well call it Deformed City Center. May as well just throw in the towel because you're gonna need to clean this place up after it gets demolished one day.

There are 2 floors and it is just full of the most beautiful dresses and gowns. We rang the bell and were greeted so lovingly that we immediately felt that we came to the right place. Our appointment was confirmed and we were walked into heaven on earth. They are appointment only and there's a $10 booking fee, however that fee goes towards your purchase. After visiting another very unorganized "popular" store, the appointment and individual attention was appreciated. After giving our price range, we were told to pull 5 dresses, but Stephanie and Darla still pulled additional looks as well. I was able to sit and enjoy my daughter modeling the different dresses, rather than trying to fit into a dressing room with her! Everything about this experience was top tier and honestly, I expected to pay much more for her dress. I would absolutely recommend visiting this store for all your prom/formal/wedding needs!

I personally felt very pressured by her because when I voiced I did not like the dress she overwhelmed me with options of alterations that I was not interested in. Everything was a high price in most areas but the material felt cheap so that was disappointing. This was my first time here and honestly it was not a very good experience. The man working was very nice and made arriving and leaving pleasant so thank him for that.

The owner, Mary, is a wonderful woman who curates an amazing selection of price points on vintage and newer items. When I worked in downtown Cleveland, I would stop in here on a regular basis to browse (vintage hunting is my happy place). I can get lost for a while opening the drawers, perusing the racks and sorting through the intricate and super cool tables of elaborate jewelry, decor, clothes, accessories and odd but special trinkets. Once Mary gets to know you, she'll keep an eye out for things you might like. She once gave me first dibs on a beautiful Louis Vuitton Pochette I had been looking for. I've purchased several gorgeous fur coats from Mary that are favorites in my collections, and she sometimes will call me if she has a new piece she senses may be my style. That type of personalized attention rarely exists anymore. I also have a Celtic-inspired citrine ring and other accessories that became easy favorites. I love stopping through Gems to either treat myself, or, during the holidays, find one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family. If you see someone walking down Euclid Avenue under a pile of bags and heavy coats, its likely me. Stop into Mary's boutique, you're going to love it!
