Coming here is like a hit or miss. You might find what you looking for or find stuff you don't need, but eventually needing. I came to look for some personal essentials, tights and under garments. I did come across a rack of clearance items and picked up some tops. Then I tackled the plus size section, which was a struggle when hangers or those shoulder bands get tangled onto other hangers. I had to fight just to make fot my size. The one dress I wanted they only had smaller sizes mixed in. So I ended up with 1 dress. It was cute for work/church. Then I headed to the one section I dread, which was the hosiery and under garment section. I was glad to see the tights ai like that fit perfectly in my size, so I grabbed what I could. Then I picked up some knee highs in various colors. The prices were reasonable. I did find a pair of pantyhose in a specific color that I wanted, but I am feeling leery that they will not fit, but for the price I will take the gamble. Then I went to look for some underwear, which was a struggle since the sizes were all over the place. But I did manage to find the size and colors I wanted. Check out was a breeze. Lolita ( I think I spelled it right) was very accommodating since I didn't want to place my clothing onto the conveyor belt. She was very pleasant and made my day. read more

When he told me I would have to go directly to Verizon to get what I needed, he let me down easy and didn't laugh that I still own a Droid. Randallstown is closer to me but Cockeysville had been my go-to store because I'm a 6 am, get in get out shopper and liked that I could breeze through the self check out and be home by 7. I'm giving this a generous 2 stars only because the employees, mostly the people stocking shelves, have always been helpful in finding things for me. But other than that, I don't recommend going here, at least not for grocery shopping. I started to realize that I wasn't finding a lot of the stuff on my shopping list. I don't know if it's a supply issue or an inventory control problem, but the selections seem to have diminished. A few examples: Suddenly there's several stacks of the same pizza where there used to be an assortment. The crackers I usually go for seem to show up once in a while. The small packs of pepperoni are rarely in stock and replaced with 20 huge packs that I couldn't eat in a year. But the worst part about this location has me questioning how they handle frozen food storage. I've had more than a few TV dinners that, upon opening, appear to have been thawed at some point. Cooked up anyway, it's one bite, spit it out and into the trash. Something's not right at this store. I won't be back. read more

I'm only picking a one star rating, because they won't let me give Walmart a negative 1000. My daughter just ran to Walmart to pick up a few groceries. A homeless man asked her for money or food he didn't care which. She told him she didn't carry cash, but she could bring him something on the way out. He was very polite- an elderly man, probably in his 70s or 80s. A security guard pushed past her when she was walking out and she was just in time to see him grab the elderly man by his collar, drag him off the sidewalk and throw him to the ground in the parking lot. She told the security guard she wasn't having that, and tried to help the man up. The security guard said " He's drunk, you should probably stay back." He couldn't get up by himself and he was dragging his left leg. He also had a notable droop to his mouth. She asked if he was okay and he said he had had a stroke recently and it just a little hard for him right now. Walmart is a 745 BILLION dollar company. Their policy is not to give a hungry old man a sandwich and a Coke, but to physically assault him? I really do not like Wally. Now that the labor market stinks, the onus is placed on the shopper to checkout and bag their orders. There was only one full service checkout open this visit with extensive lines at the self checkouts that were OPEN. That said, yes, I like their price points on what I needed but that's about it. Self-checkout lines extended into the produce and pharmacy departments. All the self-checkout lanes for large purchases were closed. I went to Customer Service for help and no one was working there. I asked for a manager, and one could not be found. When I spoke to some employees, I was told that "this is how it is now," that they do not schedule more staff than this anymore. There are way too many stores in the area to put up with this level of customer service and support. Even if it costs more, it's worth my time to be able to check out in under an hour. read more

I once thought all Walmarts were the same. Well basically they are...except in West Virginia and Virginia. I have noticed during recent travels to West Virgina and Virgina, beer and wine are sold in addition to the other basics. One thing this Maryland store has that the other stores don't, however, is facial recognition cameras at the self-checkout stations. The personnel is uncaring and unhelpful. Staffs use their phones while walking and texting. It is absurd. I struggled a lot while using the self-checkout. While she was engaged in conversation with another employee, the attendant who was in charge of the area completely missed it. After she was through, she gave me a quick look and a grin as if to promise to be there for me. Lazy. The issues appear to originate at the top and spread downward. Needs to be cleaned up by someone. This review is based on my experience with the bakery department. While other places refused to take my order for a custom cake in less than a week, I was able to make an order for not one, but two cakes. I ordered a cupcake cake and a regular 24' cake and I had an excellent experience. It was easy to order and you can track the order as it progresses. You get text messages with updates, and the cakes were completed in a timely manner. Not only was the ordered addresses on time, but the cakes were delicious and beautiful! Let me preface this saying that I've been shopping at this Walmart for over a year now. So my observations are not just from a "one time experience". This is not the worst Walmart I have ever been to. But it's in the bottom 3. The area is densely populated, and I guess management has yet to notice since the place is always JAM packed and they are constantly running out of items. You would think that at some point they would adjust their inventory to the volume of traffic that they get, but NOPE. Shelves are constantly empty and I hardly ever find what I need. The produce section here is garbage. They hardly have basic things like onions. The quality of their fruits, vegetables, etc... completely trash. I've bought their pre-made salads and half of the time I would get home to realize I had a completely frozen and inedible salad. They have a problem with quality control here. And most items I have bought were straight up defective. Bought a small box fan. Every single button on it was broken off. Went back got another one, that was broken too. Bought a lamp, broken as well. I'm to the point where I only buy snacks from this place. And even that is suspect. Which leads me to my next point. I guess this next criticism is about Walmart in general. But I've noticed that they've stopped carrying a lot of the name brand stuff and started pushing their own "Great Value" brand but there is nothing "Great" About it. The cheaper price does not substitute the absolute garbage quality of the brand. And to prove my point. I bought Hawaiian Buns to make a sandwich with today. Got halfway through it only to realize my bread was MOLDY. And I mean all of them. So basically, I fed my family moldy bread today. I'm hoping we all don't get sick from it. I've attached a picture. Avoid the cashiers in the garden section. They sit on the floor eating chips until you checkout while they carry on their conversations with their co workers laughing while ignoring the customers and will cope an attitude if they are working alone, and of course they will still ignore you until they give you your total while they make you bag your own items because some of it is racially motivated depending on who the customer is. Went to Walmart on a Sunday afternoon only to see customer service closed at 3:30pm. The cashier stated that customer service is closed due to employees not showing for work. The cashier said to come back tomorrow. I asked for a manager since I can't wrap my head around an entire store of employees and not one person was cross trained to work customer service. I also can't imagine the manager Dave was so useless that he walked away from the service desk instead of jumping in to help his struggling store. When I asked him was anyone else available to speak with he gave me the number to 1800- Walmart. I feel bad for his team members who have to deal with his poor leadership skills. This location is on the cleaner side of most Walmarts I've been in in the area and has a decently stocked grocery department. However, for all the employees wandering around you would think they would be more willing to assist customers with finding items. I asked a female employee in the automotive section if she knew where I could find a window squeegee. She stared at me blankly for a second before apparently looking it on her phone and saying "Aisle 36H". Didn't even take a second to point me in the right direction of the aisle or make eye contact. And, shocker, there were no squeegees in the location she directed me to. Hindsight being 20/20 now, I would suggest to others to look specific items up online before going to the store - the website will tell you what aisle stocked items are located in, and then you don't even have to interrupt the employees and be directed on a wild goose chase. I suppose you can't expect much from employees at a Walmart in the way of customer service, but half of the folks at this store are not cut out for retail. read more

*UPDATE* It's clear several people are competing for the "That's Not My Job" award. I fill up my 5 gallon water jugs at the Primo Water fill-station in the back about 2-3 times a month. There has been a full (capless) 5 gallon jug sitting on the floor next to the machine for almost 60 days now. It has moved about 5 feet since 30 days ago. So disappointing. Ordered 1-hour photo early in the morning for an important project. Got an email 90-minutes later stating the order would be delayed. After 3 hours I drove to the store and walked up to the photo counter. After about 10 minutes of waiting a manager sent someone over to tell me the photo department was closed today because there is not an associate working there today. Suggest that Walmart either improves its communication or stops promising 1-hour photo all together. Now scrambling to complete the project on time. read more

This is a shout out to those workers at all Walmart's that put themselves in harms way so we have groceries. Specifically those that pick my groceries for pick up. I have had almost no issues with this service. I love that you can take care of a damage, error or missing item on line without having to call someone. My orders have always been accurate and I like that they tell you in advance of pick up what is out of stock, or substituted. I really like substitutions that are in my favor cost wise. I noticed that Peapod at Giant doesn't tell you what is out of stock and does not substitute items like Walmart does. Thank you to those who pull, pack and load my groceries. Behold Walmart Supercenter, your one stop shop for everything. I feel like going into writing a review you have to keep in mind that this is Walmart. And on a scale of Walmart's this one is solid! The store is absolutely humongous. There's literally a full sized grocery store stuffed into this place. You're not going to find your speciality items that you may find at a fancier supermarket like Wegmans but any run of the mill grocery you can absolutely find here for an affordable price. Produce is very hit or miss, but they have pretty good prices on meat. The size of the store is both a pro and a con-- I was in looking for mini individual chicken pot pie foil containers (getting my Betty Crocker on) and wasn't sure if I would find it in the baking aisle or allllll the way across the store in the home goods section. Turns out home goods, but it is a bit of a walk to go back and forth in the store if you're not sure where something is. It's hard to find employees to ask for direction as well. There's about a zillion registers and I've never really had an issue waiting in a huge line. Staff has always been friendly enough. I was in today and it looked like they were adding a bunch of self checkout kiosks, so hopefully for those of you who have encountered long lines this will help! Happy Walmart-ing! read more
