For the holiday decor... I give this Walmart 5 stars! When I walked into the store, there was a beautiful Christmas tree at the front, and a pretty cardboard ribbon over the entranceway. The store itself was pretty nasty, but it's Walmart so you kind of know that before going in. Nevertheless, they have an unrivaled selection of cheap snacks and food, which was my whole point of going. They had a pretty good selection of greeting cards as well, although every store has the same kind of setup. Also, the best kept secret about Walmart is their candles, they're AWESOME! I love Walmart's candles. They're better and cheaper than the ones I can find anywhere else. I would recommend for that alone. All-in-all, it's a typical Walmart, but one that did a great job for the holiday season! read more

Have always encountered friendly, capable employees until today. Hope you don't get Bridgette at the register. She talked about her personal problems with the customer in front of me and wasn't even working while she did. When I asked if she was OK she never responded. I've never had anybody be that rude! Definitely avoid her. When I told her I was going to complain to management, she ran over and started whispering in the manager's ear. Totally unprofessional. I have had two incidents with their online delivery service. Today has done it for me. I will not be doing walmart orders. I will do Target or Krogers. They never answer their phones for starters. I wouldnt even have to call them if they hired competent delivery drivers. My delivery was supposed to be for 3:40pm today to be left at the door. They decided to take it back to the store because I missed the call. There is no need for you to call me. Do what the instructions says, "Leave at the door." The first incident they did not get a driver to deliver it within the allotted time so it was a 2-hour delay and when they finally did get a driver, they again were incompetent and could not locate a whole college campus. Unbelievable these people. And when you call Walmart.com, they are absolutely no help! DO BETTER! read more

Ordered ahead of time on the Walmart app for store pickup. Pulled into parking spot and registered that I was here. It took them 35 minutes to bring me my order! Completely ridiculous. Every single time I come to this Wal-Mart there is never shopping carts available on either end. Also, the place is a homeless magnet. I have had them ask for money in the store. While I do feel badly for them, this makes me nervous. The shelves are almost empty. Looks like they are closing and not restocking. Lines are long. Only a few registers open. While waiting in line there are employees standing around talking. Grab a register and work. Employees seem rude. I hate it when I go to this Wal-Mart. I feel very unsafe going to this one. I will when I have the time go to the Wal-Mart in west columbia. They are stocked, have buggies available, they have a handle on the homeless hanging around and it seems to feel a bit safer. Seriously the worst store ever. I do grocery pick up because of how convenient it is having 4 kids, one being special needs, it makes it hard to get through a grocery trip. EVERY SINGLE TIME I do pick up, they mess up my order. Not something small, like bags and bags of groceries missing. And the las two times I ordered they charged my card twice for both transactions. They always give me the worst produce, expired milk, wrong size diapers. And heaven forbid an associate actually greet you and welcome you as you enter the store, that's asking way too much. read more

I am from Walmart country and generally love wm. I have been to this location twice and both times, the checkout lines were very long. Friday night was like someone released inmates into wm. People were so rude and would not MOVE out of the way. I had one drunk move backward into me. Ugh, I have never seen anything like it! Obiviously this is a busy store. A lot of items were depleted as if it was 2 days from the holidays. Like with all Wal-Mart stores. It depends on the demographics, in which you'll see different things that wouldn't be in all stores. We went in looking for spirits(not a ghost), but this location didn't carry it. The employees have the customer service ability of the characters from The Hills Have Eyes. Not a single one of the 4 "sales associates" I asked offered to help me find what I was looking for (an axe/hatchet/something to split wood). The only help I was offered were common sense suggestions (check sporting goods). Each spot I searched was a filthy disaster of misplaced items. Good customer service would including taking the customer to item, not merely pointing or suggesting. I'd rather pay more to not be treated like an inconvenience. read more

UPC for 1,000-count quantity was applied on plastic wrap over manufacturer's UPC, resulting in $5.88 charge (200% over-charge), instead of shelf price of $1.95. Phones not answered at all on Sunday at 8:40AM. Emailed Walmart HQ on Sunday; no reply by Mon. 5pm. Called store manager today at 5:10PM. Left on Hold. Called back and was told Store Manager was not in. Left on Hold while waiting for Dept. Manager to answer. Called Walmart. On hold over 5 minutes. Began explaining problems, and cell phone call dropped. Estimated wait-time, more than 5 minutes. Typed all this while waiting. read more

The parking lot is poorly designed. It's always difficult getting in and out of this location. Wal-Mart sucks in general, but this one takes the suckiness cake. So yesterday I went to get a routine oil change. After about an hour of being in the store, they called me on the intercom and explained that they couldn't change my oil because it's a new car and they've never dealt with this system. I got into my car to leave and the check engine light was on, car sputtering and not drivable. I went in snd asked what happened because they said they never touched the car. While pulling video footage, another staff came out to diagnose the car to tell me I had an intake leak and a misfire on every cylinder. After I had the tow truck come and take me to the Volkswagen dealer, it was determined Walmart tech didn't put my dipstick back in properly causing a vacuum leak and leakage of oil and my check engine light to come on. No rental cars available in the area. After all the money I spent at Volkswagen, please don't go to this Walmart. They said they sent the video to corporate and I will be calling for a reimbursement. What can you say about Wal-Mart in general that hasn't already be said. I feel a little shame each time I shop there but the main complaint about this one and several others (not the one on Bush River it is great) is they think people don't shop after about 7 or 8 at night. Good luck finding more than 2 or 3 registers open with a store full of people, but some people love running in to buy one thing and then waiting 20 minutes or more to pay for it. read more

Ok let me be real this walmart is just terrible. One of my times there i went inside to buy some mike and ike's berry blast when i left out of the store passing by the lady a showed my receipt too and i would say about 13 inches away from the store i put my candy and receipt in my jacket pocket when i had caught up to my dad only for a employee to say that i could get arrested for stealing im not one to point fingers but that was hands down racial profiling and it made both my parents and me mad if i didnt have the forgiveness i do i would of shoved my receipt in her face to make her feel dumb. I come back to the same store to get my first ever pc only to find out the screen was glitching and freezing the same happened to my dads device he bought a phone from the store and it was broke upon opening the screen was glitched out and my pc was 300 dollars i highly suggest not to go to this walmart cause of the faulty devices they sell. read more

Terrible customer service, just terrible!!! Not enough cashiers and many are totally incompetent, not enough baskets ( there were none available on my last trip), cashier did not process my coupons and did not apologize and told me to go to customer service for my money only to find they were idiots, incompetents having computer problems and finally after some dummie cashier process my refund, I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come and open the cash drawer so I could be given my refund. Totally unsatisfactory!!! I will be desperate and hard pressed to ever return to such a store. I think I would rather be shot than go again to such a poorly run store. Worst Walmart I've EVER been in in my life! I thought I walked into a 3rd world country. The shelves were 1/2 bare and what was left was just thrown all over the place, knocked over and in the wrong place. The line was unbelievably slow. There were only 2 people in front of me and I waiting about 20 min. to check out. When I finally got up to the check out, I looked at the line behind me and everyone was gone.
