This Walmart doesn't have a large selection, and on the smaller side for a Super Center Walmart. We went in for grocery items. There were only two check out stands open and both had long lines. First and foremost customer service decides how you wull recurve your refunded item . Rather it was paid with cash and you have the receipt in hand .... This mainly occurs at the Walmart on 16th st . This store is a complete joke when it comes to customer service. I do not appreciate Walmarts totalitarian government of we charge more than everyone else, our store looks terrible all the time, our associates prevent you the in-store customer from being able to reach any of the shelving units because they block it with their online ordering picking, and you couldn't reach customer service via telephone if you offered up your first born child, a multi million dollar property, and blind obedience. I would highly suggest you shop anywhere but this store. Target is literally around the corner. I had a great experience with grocery pick up today! I really wanted to avoid the stores with there only being 10 days until Christmas and you can't beat Walmart grocery prices. I submitted my order at midnight and was able to pick them up at 10:00 am! The order was ready for pick up at 10:01 am. I got to Walmart at 10:15 and the groceries were loaded into my car and I was on my way home by 10:18 am! They let me know what items they had to modify and were super helpful and respectful. Finding the spot for pick up was easy and clearly marked. I will definitely be doing this again! read more

For most part customer service @ Lake Manawa Walmart has some decent people. ONE in particular is always busy stuffing her face in front of customers, R U D E ! I made a request and she didn't acknowledge or apologize. I have gone in there if not daily but almost. Once in a while maybe 4 times a day if I keep forgetting something. Traveling around the country has led me into quite a few Walmarts. So far, this is the best maintained and decently staffed that I've been into. The bathrooms didn't smell, toilets and floors were clean. A HUGE selection of items. Unlike anything that I've seen from superstores. All items were in-stock and shelving was organized. Employees: everyone knows Walmart isn't known for their fabulous customer service. But, I had a great experience with one employee. I was searching up and down aisles for an item when I saw this employee unpacking merchandise. I didn't want to interrupt her because I assumed she'd be rude. She actually stopped me and asked if she could help me find something. Told her what I was looking for and she walked me right over to it. For Walmart, that's 4-star worthy. read more

HORRIFIC CHECKOUTS!!! Had we known there was only self checkout we would have not gone to this store. We had a cart FULL of items. There was NO ONE manning ANY of the check out lanes. So we ended up doing self check out. We almost just left the cart. While in the store you could see numerous employees "shopping" for online customers. The employees that were up front were of NO help and were very cranky. One of the employees stated to a frustrated customer that her help was on lunch and there was no one available to check out. Not everyone can do self checkout due to their health. I am not going to this store again anytime soon. The managers need to get their employees scheduled so there is appropriate help in ALL parts of the store. read more

Tried getting a money order to pay my apartment complex and they denied me because I have the paper copy you gey before you get your actual license I asked why they didn't accept that it's issued by state and anywhere else I go they accept it hell even if I get pulled over the police accept it. This is for the tire and lube service. The lady that usually runs the front can be a little rude, but overall, I've never had a problem getting oil changed or You can't make an appointment so be aware and have someone drive you home while you wait. I've lucked out a couple times and got cheapest tires put on my car, they were out, and put the nicer tires on without the additional cost. One time I had a nail in my car, took it to Firestone, they told me it was unfixable, took it to Wal-Mart, and they fixed it no problem. I was able to drive another 6 months without buying new tires. read more

I went to Lake Manawa Walmart early this evening. I was at Deli standing there for about 4 mins just for small order of lunchmeat. Both girls saw me but was too busy with social talk and doing whatever, I totally just walked away. Best time to go is during the mornings. There are some wonderful employees that get 5 stars from me, some others are miserable and act like they own the store. Whatever happened to respect on job ? This Walmart might be the busiest place on Earth. I go once a month to pick up a prescription (can't beat the price) and I dread every minute of the experience. Management continually underestimates the amount of cashiers vis-à-vis the customers, so you're always stuck in a line. read more

I had a terrible experience at this Wal-Mart Auto Center, I bought a car battery with a three year warranty, after 4months it didn't start my car or hold a charge. I returned the battery told them my problem so they took my battery in the shop and tested it, saying it is a good battery, they charged it and said it should be ok. The next day my car didn't start, after returning from Wal-Mart, I put the battery in my garage, not in the car until the next morning, so they couldn't blame others stuff. they refused too give me a new-working battery based on their machine not on whether or not it works. don't buy their car batteries, they will screw you. read more

I came in for a tire repair. It was unfortunate already when it took me 10 min to find an associate to start the repair. It got worse when it took another 15 for the actual repair. Then when my car was taken out of the bay, and I wanted to pay for the repair. I was unable to find anyone who knew what happened to my car or where my key was. A tire repair should never go over the hour and a half Mark in my day. I guess it gave me time to get my oil and filter, but I spent more time on this then I wanted to. read more

Do not take your vehicle here for any automotive work. We took our car for simple oil change and the idiots drained 7 quarts of transmission fluid in error then overflowed the oil. Trying to work with the insurance company CMI bunch of bullshit. That company puts you on hold and never responds to the customer. Trying to contact store manager and they lie and put people on the phone who arent managers and managers never return a call. Wonder what corporate thinks of this way of doing business? Never again will I shop at this Walmart. It is dirty, the people are rude, there are never enough cashiers and the prices just aren't that great! I want to start this by saying as a whole I like your company overal. That being said I have a overwhelming disappointment in your branch located in Council Bluffs IA. I refuse to shop here anymore. I am the Manager of a local restaurant in Council Bluffs so I usually sleep days and work evenings and nights. Therefore I do my shopping at night. Right before Christmas this year I came in to purchase a Nintendo Wii for my wife all I could find was a Wii mini so I grabbed an employee in electronics to seek out answers on the difference between the two. I was told that there was nothing in different than the size of the unit itself. Well 2 days after Christmas my wife and I opened the unit and tried to connect it to WiFi so she could download old Nintendo games because that's why she wanted the unit. Well after 2 hours we looked at the manual and discovered that it did not have the same capability to connect to WiFi as a full size Wii. So we packaged it all back up and drove to Walmart @11 PM the employee at the register told me because we opened the game inside of box that the Wii came with it could not be returned. I asked to speak with a manager so she radioed for the night manager after 20 minutes the manager called her on the phone and the clerk explained everything to her. They stopped talking on the phone and 15 minutes later I hear someone yelling across the store "Sir we cannot exchange or return your merchandise due to licensing policies" as she approached I explained to her I would buy the same game off the shelf to put in the box I just wanted a Wii that connected to the Internet. She refused any idea to remedy the situation. On this last Monday I purchased a riffle cleaning kit. After opening it and starting to use it I realized one of the cleaning rods was broken. Tonight at 230 AM I tried to exchange it. I was told by a supervisor that the stor policy is that returns or exchanges are only done between 7AM and 8PM I asked if I can shop in your store 24 hours a day I should be able to exchange an item I purchased at 230 at 230. I was informed that was not the case. There is no sense of customer service given at this store at any point I have been there. I am in the customer service industry and if I ran my restraunt this way it would go out of buissiness. I have only given a few reviews of my service on here because I am limited to 3000 characters for my review I hope this does not fall on def ears because I am truly disappointed.
