This is the store nearest to our house and it is also walkable because it is so close which is really nice. The store is generally clean and the employees are all friendly and helpful. My big complaint is that they are really not great at keeping things in stock, especially sale/coupon items. Nine times out of ten, the sale/coupon item shelves will be empty if you don't get there first thing in the morning. We often end up going to the Madison Ave. location to shop because they do a fantastic job of keeping everything stocked. If they could do a better job with stocking at the Broadway location, I would certainly give them five stars. read more

I've been using Hy-Vee Pharmacy for years, and honestly, I'll never go back to the endless lines at the big chain pharmacies. My prescriptions are always ready when I need them, and there's rarely a wait--plus, there's usually a friendly face behind the counter! The store is great for quick pickups, though I've noticed prices can be higher than other places. I wish they carried the same inventory as the Hy-Vee on Madison Ave, but the items aren't anything that I can't live without--just something I've noticed over time. Hy Vee workers are very entitled. The customer is not right...and they don't care if you spend your money with them or not. My husband had two bouquets of flowers sent to me. One for our anniversary one for Valentine's Day. I received these a day apart and they're both wilted, I contacted the store who then sent me to floral who said that she'll get back to me in a few days. My concern is these flowers cost a good amount of money and they come to me wilted. It's pretty bad business. read more

The general manager is rude and harasses costumers. Me and my friends were peacefully shopping, walking through aisles and observing the products. We encountered a blue piano and couldn't resist tickling the ivories. When suddenly, the general manager confronted us, saying we have been touching everything in the aisles and we need to buy something or leave. I felt disheartened and disrespected by her prejudice. I needed some groceries for a catering event I was doing this week and this place has a pretty good selection of produce when I only need one or two (like jalapenos or peppers in general), which is always helpful. The staff is very polite and helpful and the selection is pretty extensive. Their parking lot is huge and they have a gas station on the west side. Hy-Vee has also switched out their Market Grille for a Wahlburger's. I haven't tried that out yet but plan to at some point. read more

I needed fruit for a wound demonstration - yes you read that right. I was in town for work and they had grapefruits 2/3 which is a little pricey considering they weren't in the best shape. Considering i was using to imitate a wound that wasn't an issue but had i gone there to get some to eat it would be a different story. Hmmm...this review is really not about the Grocery store as much as it is about their fine Market Grill. There is something so very decadent about going grocery shopping but first stopping by the Grill for a local brew and snack. Sort of gives shopping an entire different dimension...I love it. (Guy thing?) But I am here to tell you that yesterday I probably had one of the most delectable Reuben sandwiches I have ever had at the Market Grill, located in Council Bluffs. Seriously, see photo. Another fine aspect of stopping in is that the bartending staff has always been more than accommodating and often times the Grill's specials are out of this world. So if I may recommend that a great way to get in on the "good side" of your better half is to volunteer to go shopping and then, er, make a little swing into the grill for your own personal motivation, it's great. The service is usually that helpful smile in every aisle and the parking lot is pretty nice, with the exception of one or two weird places where they have a weird median stopping flow. That being said, I do appreciate that it hasn't gone towards what some other Hy-Vees have, with nail salons and shoe stores inside it. This site doesn't need to be everything. read more

If she wouldn't have called, the person would have received two of the same arrangements. Hyvee stands out to me in comparison to other grocery chains of stores here in town. The staff is always eager to help, and I've had some really exceptional service from these folks. The produce is typically always great, and they will have all your needs for making a meal at home. They also have dine in options for the hot food, which I have never done. Deli, Bakery, Meat/seafood, Pharmacy, Liquor store, Organic/health dedicated sections, and Garden round out this location to be on point. They also have a Caribou Coffee and a Gas Station at this location that you can redeem your gas points at. The next closest one is 50th and center or 78th and Cass, so this Hyvee serves not only the CB population but also those of us in Omaha that live downtown. read more

I love Hy-Vee! We don't have one really close to our house, but when we travel, they're the perfect place to shop for lunches and snacks. The produce section is amazing. I love that they have so many choices of cut and ready-to-eat fruit. There is a fantastic assortment of sandwiches and single serving meals in their deli section. Overall, the prices are a little higher than other stores but we found a lot of what we wanted on sale. We're stocked for the rest of this trip. read more

Hy-Vee is great. Even though their prices are a tad high on some of their items, their ads usually has something good. I love their massive beer/liqour selection. The service is always top notch and everyone is always nice. The deli is good and the pharmacy is also good. I stop by this Hy-Vee about once a week to grab something on my way home and I can ALWAYS find what I'm looking for, even the off the wall items, like Durkee sauce. read more

HyVee is just another store that has goods and wares that one finds themselves needing from time to time. The reason for me coming to this particular location is the beer selection.Sure, I have Beertopia in Blackstone, but this HyVee has certain items that don't get distributed in Omaha. WE have a problem. When I wrote this review, Hy-Vee Supermarklet and Hy-Vee Gas (convenience store) had separate listings in YELP. CORRECTLY SO My review belongs to Hy-Vee Gas. When Yelp did a review of my Hy-Vee GAS business classification edit to include Convenience Store, they lumped both listings into one together which is NOT CORRECT. Other parts of the metro area correctly have them separately listed in Yelp. PLEASE KNOW MY REVIEW BELONGS TO Hy-Vee GAS - the convenience store. Nothing that I reviewed has anything to do with Hy-Vee the Supermarket which I have never set foot in. This is the convenience store version in the same parking lot as the Hy-Vee Supermarket. I can only remark on the automated gas pump offered. If you have earned some discount cents off the regular price of gas, just insert and pull out your Hy-Vee Fuel Saver card after inserting your credit card and the credit card has been approved. If you prefer to pay inside, they can do so and run your discount card to apply the earned discount also. I used a DiscoverCard as there is a 5% Cash Back offered for the first calendar quarter of 2016. The problem that I ran into is convenience stores affiliated with supermarkets do not get that bonus. I found that out the hard way. What I do like about this chain of stores is the option to purchase gas for your car without polluting my gas with Ethanol. It costs a bit more. I have gone to the store more times than I would like to but it is close to my home. There is a very prevalent disregard for any kind of Covid precautions among the staff members. I have had an employee pull down their mask wipe their nose and pull their mask back up and then attempt to bag my groceries. And then this morning I visited this location and said something to the baker about not wearing a face mask. As I was walking to my car he proceeded to drive by and tell me to mind my own business. I was absolutely appalled. I love the convenience of the store and I love the products they carry but the staff is horrible. I have spoken to managers on numerous occasions and things have not gotten any better in fact they continue to get even more appalling. read more

If you want good food with lousy customer service, stop here. They had a sign for 5.99 8 piece Chicken legs/strips. Nothing else to specify the price. When i tried to order 4 legs of baked and 4 strips, they said the baked was not included. When the clerk asked the deli supervisor, he reiterated that and refused to sell me the baked. So i walked out. Well when i called the store director to complain, she was shocked they did not serve me. Which tells me she needs to communicate and train her employees on customer service better. I'm a former employee of this location, and well, i've decided to change my review on this location, what happened with me and this location and my employment in the past, i've chosen to put behind me, however, rumors are going around that they're letting people go left and right, which is true, as i've noticed some people that were there before are gone now, I like the store in general, the basic employees are typically good to me, it's just, I feel the new hiring manager that took over there is really questionable, because if the hiring manager is letting people go left and right, just because, well, I feel if the previous crew was doing good and did their job effectively, there should be no point in letting old employees go, as before, if they do the job effectively, but otherwise, the employees in general are good, the problems with my former manager, i've talked my past problems out with, so I would just say the only questionable thing about that store is the hiring manager, whether the rumors or true or not, all I know is I just shop there, but there is completely different employees there from when I was working there, so it gives me the thought of whether or not the hiring manager (Human Resources guy) is effectively doing his job or not, but still, all I know is I just shop, and the employees are good to me as a customer nowadays! read more

I posted a review a month or so ago, and it wasnt positive, now it is in the "filtered" review section. My opinion of HyVee has gotten worse since then. Last nite, the cashier was filing her nails after she had rung me up, but first she pushed my groceries to the end of the line, no one was there to bag for her, so guess who got to bag them? You guessed it, me. So much for service. There was a bagger on the next line who was bagging that customers groceries, he looked over and said "sorry". Meanwhile, my cashier was back to filing her nails and chit chatting with the next customer in line, who had to wait till I was done filling my bags and placing them in my cart. This is my favorite grocery store in the area. Very clean and fresh. Produce and meat dept are very good. The salad bar is awesome. They are high priced though, you do pay for the environment. All the staff is very friendly and it sure has made Broadway look a lot nicer. read more
