Shopping at my local Dahlonega store this past Friday, I inadvertently left my prescription glasses in a cart while unloading and returning to the cart corral. Easily a $300 mistake for me. Some kind person returned them to the store. When I called they had not been returned yet so I left my name and number hoping for the best. Not an hour later the store called and said they had them. Saturday AM I went in am sure enough they were there at the register in customer service. I went to Dahlonega, GA. Walmart and bought 2 boxes of Great Value flavor of Early Morning Rise and it had the flavor Orange Blast in the flavor Early Morning Rise boxes. My husband loves Early Morning Rise and hates the Orange Blast flavor they are putting in the boxes. Isn't that called False Advertising?? Someone needs to change this problem. read more

I moved here , but I have to go to Dawsonville to shop. This store has the worse stock availability. Shelves are almost always bare. Walmart Distribution should understand this store needs higher amounts of stock, due to it being the only grocery store in the area. There is a small area in this town ready for a grocery store... If I could give any less stars I would. I worked here for a short period and just long enough to escape with my sanity. This whole store is poorly run which starts with the below average management all the way down to the turds I worked with in the deli. The staff ranged from senior citizens to middle aged women with beer bellys to lazy pothead college kids. The motto here is if you're doing the minimum, then you are doing too much!! The only thing I was rewarded with for my hard work was more hard work. The tools and equipment required to do our job worked less than half the time. And the drama!!! This place is worse than a high school dispite the diverse age range. Its no wonder nothing gets done with all the rumors and snitches and shit talkers. Not sure where they find these rejects but i wouldn't hire them to beat the farts out of my underwear. I would definitely not recommend this establishment for employment let alone shop here for your weekly groceries. If there truly is a God he will bless this town with better options for food and necessities. read more

This Walmart is set up inside differently from the ones where I live in Florida. But parking is a breeze...both times I've been I got rockstar parking right off. It's usually two-day-mule-trek parking where I'm from. I needed a power bank for my aging phone and wandered around for quite some time before I discovered that the electronics department is sort of in the middle of the store. Weird, but I got what I needed. Not much open space in here. They've left room for the aisles, but that's it. Kind of difficult to survey the joint with high shelves everywhere, but just ask one of the employees...which is how I found the two aisles of men's socks. Try to find an employee where I live and you'll give up. So an extra star for this Walmart. You can't see this place from the main road that goes by it...you have to turn in and drive a short distance. Once you know where it is, you'll have no problem. read more

I absolutely loathe this supercenter. Its so dark, & gloomy; with the lights constantly flickering. I feel like I can never find what I'm looking for. If your looking for boxed & canned goods (a.k.a. junk food) well then you might have found your perfect shopping center, but if your looking for anything remotely healthy or good for you...you won't find it here. I only go here because Lumpkin County is so "out in the sticks" that this is the only Walmart to go to. Not to mention that some of the staff is rude. Some lady named Joanne gave me such an attitude when I went up to use my WIC vouchers. Look, I get it, it takes a good minute! But seriously? How unprofessional can you be? My sister paid for her stuff before me and she was all nice and then when I hand my stuff to her she gets rude. read more

Definitely not one of my favorite walmarts, but like most walmarts in general they have most of what you could ever need or enough to get you by. I do like how they typically have UNG apparel that isn't very expensive. Although the parking lot and the inside of the store has tight aisles and is hard to maneuver through. The produce is hit or miss and they don't have many items that I can find at the Walmart in Dawsonville. As for a quick place to run in and grab some groceries it works, but isn't a place I typically enjoy coming to shop. I often leave without items that I intended to buy because I can't find them here. read more

Very disappointed in this Walmart! A few days prior to my purchase I was looking at the furniture - tv stands/armoires etc. I found two that I absolutely loved! My husband and I went back a few days later so i could show him & we decided to purchase them. We got charged double what the price had showed, so I went back took pictures of the items with prices and showed the lady at the register. The manager came up and was very rude, she went back to check the prices and fifteen minutes later said that the items (both down different isles mind you) had been missed priced but was very accusatory in her explaining and that if we wanted them we needed to pay full price. I had no problem paying the full price that was shown with the products on display. We ended up paying double for these items instead of about $250 for both it was $550 for both. We bought them anyway, but Walmart needs to get it together!! If you miss price the items you sell then you honor the price! Very misleading! Bad bad for business!! read more

This is the worst wall mart I have ever shopped at - if it wasn't the only one I wouldn't shop her. It's dirty and never stocked. They have little selection on water even and soda- so on top of limited space it's always half empty or completely empty - so irritating that they are usually out of what I came in for ! I asked management why there was no signage / directional for pet food - of course they never added any and it's in a really weird place . Just a horrible shopping experience in every way read more

Yes, it is a Smaller Walmart Store, but I think we are Thankful to have our Walmart Store in our very little town which has a low population. All my past life I had shopped at Publix when I lived in FL. I thought I would really miss it, but I have found I love the lower prices of same or like items! They have everything I need with few exceptions. More plant variety than I can afford. They still have a fabric center and a large art supply area. The Deli does not do the large variety of hot meals, but otherwise is equal to other small store Deli's. There are more than enough fruit, veggies, and meats. I do miss more of the full in-store cooked Bakery items. Some had commented that this Dahlonega store is noisy and dark. Well, I never ever thought that. Some said that the employees are rude. No, I find totally the opposite. The Managers have always listened to wants or concerns and acted on my suggestions! Other employees have gone out of their way to search for answers or finding items. The Film Dept. bent over backwards to get me the Best! possible prints reprinting until I was satisfied for framing before purchasing. The Pharmacy answers all questions, and they fill scripts fast too! Again, I think we are very lucky to have our Walmart. read more
