Worst coffee ever. But there was pizza available at 6:30 AM lol. Person at register was pleasant.

Heading from Atlanta to the North Georgia wine country, we stopped here for fuel and a bathroom stop. The station is easy to access with wide pump areas. It was clean without trash and the receipt printer worked well. Inside, a huge selection of food and drink! Pizza, grilled roller meats, and surprising frozen yogurt machines with toppings. Brew-to-order coffee with an assortment of creamers and sweeteners. Beer and wine including a "beer cave" of cold ones. The restrooms were amazingly clean. It was unexpected. No papers on the floor, no spilled water on the counters, stocked toilet paper. Clean enough that my lady friend even mentioned how nice it was on that side! Five stars for a gas station? This is RaceTrac store #204 and it's located about a mile south of the North Georgia Premium Outlets on Georgia 400. This is probably the best gas station you're going to find near the outlet mall and an ideal place to fill up if you're headed back towards the Atlanta area from Dawsonville. This is one of RaceTrac's first RT6K stores (RaceTrac 6,000 -- referring to about 6,000 square feet of retail and food/drink store space). It opened in 2012 and competes directly against QuikTrip and QT's Gen 3 stores. Currently, in metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia, no other gas stations and convenience stores even come close to RaceTrac and QT's newest stores. These companies set the standard years ago. Like the other RT6K stores, this one is made of brick with stone entryway columns and high ceilings. It looks modern. Inside, there's a bevy of food and drink options including fresh-made sandwiches and other savory snacks and self-serve frozen yogurt. There's free Wi-Fi and seating inside and out (QT only has outdoor seating). I've noticed the men's restrooms at Gen 3 QT stores are bigger than the men's restroom here. As far as cleanliness, during my visit, both the inside of the store (dirty tables) and the men's restroom could've been cleaner. The filling station has 20 pumps, arranged in a single row, and brick support columns. The filling station, driveways, and parking areas are nice and spacious. The gas prices were competitive, the filling area was clean, and the pump I used was in good condition. Why hasn't QT opened here yet? read more

Clean restrooms and friendly cashiers at the checkout. We came to fuel up before we headed back and wanted to grab a few car snacks before we settled in for a while. Since we were watching Planes, Trains and automobiles on the way back we needed Doritos and ginger ale of course! Great diet, I know. The place is near the Outlet malls but closer to Restoration Hardware and Beal's. We spent maybe 15 minutes here and have no complaints....always good to find a RaceTrac nearby because you know the restrooms are going to be clean and the employees will be friendly... read more

Amazing Convenience store with so much to offer. As another reviewer commented Race Trac has raised the bar and set the standard for others to aspire to. "Variety", if I could summarize Race Trac this would be the one word that would apply most. Weather it is fountain drink selections, tea or cooler items this store offers more selection than any other C-Store I have visited. They also have a food counter and in addition to your regular fare like donuts they have hot fresh hamburgers, pizza and so much I could write about just the menu and fill a page. Coffee, they have one of the best coffee's I have found. The Dawsonville store just recently installed the automatic coffee makers that will make your favorite cup of coffee fresh as you watch. * Select your favorite "Brew", mine is the Dark Roast. * Select your cup size and with or without room. * Watch as the beans are ground fresh and your coffee is brewed and dispensed into your cup. They also have a full bar area where you can select your flavors, creamers and sweeteners and make your own cup to match what you like. Price wise with tax a medium cup is $1.73 so very competitive but the best fresh cup of coffee you will find. Rest Rooms, they have large very clean restrooms that are always fully stocked and many times are being cleaned when you use them. Nothing worse than stopping on the road and not having a rest room or it being so dirty that you can't use it. Race Trac rest rooms have never let us down and are always in A1 condition. Customer Service - the entire staff from kitchen to front counter are always super friendly and helpful. They are actually engaged with their customers and make eye contact unlike some stores where they don't speak or talk on their cell the entire time. Another refreshing change for the C-Store industry. So, with so much good why not 5 Stars? The customer loyalty and rewards programs in the gasoline and C-Store business has become increasingly competitive. My go to store offers free food, drinks and even substantial discounts on fuel for points and loyalty. So far I have not seen any benefit to the Race Trac rewards program despite almost daily visits and purchases. I have always paid full price for food, drinks and fuel. So, in terms of Rewards or Customer Loyalty incentives this store and Race Trac score at the bottom of other store brands in Cumming, Alpharetta and Buford. read more

They don't sell alcohol at 8am (don't judge, I was hungover) "said, I can't sell that yet, Dawson County" which is complete bs because every other gas station does. Also, their slow ass service is a killer.... read more

Honestly, the food is amazing! I love coming here everyday for some of their new pizza or their hot food! On the other hand though, customer service is debatable. I've met tons of associates who have great customer service and were such a joy to talk to, what you really want to look out for is the manager's attitudes. The lady at the register just had this face of "I don't want to be here", extremely rude, threw down my items like I was wasting her time, which is why I think most people wanted to go to self checkout that morning. This racetrac is like McDonald's with the ice cream machine... It's never working. However, I think it works perfectly fine, and the site says they sell it til 2 AM, but they seem to unhook all ice cream around 9 PM... Even on weekends. read more

Wow, and we thought Parker's rocked. This place is amazing from the huge coffee, tea, hot chocolate station, Krispy Kreme donut section, empanada, hot sandwich, pizza slice stand to the ice cream/frozen yogurt self serve area with dozens and dozens of toppings, tons of hot dogs, sausages, taquitos, tortillas, cheese sauce, and a variety of toppings like kraut, slaw, onions and chili. I've seriously never seen a more baller gas station. We needed gas after shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlets and this was right across the street. Originally, I just walked in to use the bathroom (which was SUPER clean btw) but I got blown away by all that they had to offer. Things to expect: - Cleanliness and spaciousness. The size of the mart was probably twice your average mart. - A SELF-SERVE FROZEN YOGURT STATION. with a full bar of toppings. say what?! I still can't get over this... - A whole additional refrigerated room for beer - Wide variety of drinks + snacks - Various 2 for $2 hot dogs YUM - Great selection for slushie drinks and coffee - Lots of gas pumps - Super clean bathrooms with everything automatic and in stock (TP, soap, paper towels) - Outdoor patio with seating You MUST MUST MUST check this place out, grab some snacks and a refreshing drink after a long day of shopping at the outlets. Racetrac has singlehandedly changed the face of convenient store/gas station expectations in Dawsonville. The town has long been plagued by sub par mom and pop gas stations that were severely lacking in customer service, cleanliness, convenience, variety, and reasonable fuel pricing. This racetrack is easy to get on and off while traveling on the 400. Prices are competitive for the area and usually the same or close to Kroger has with the discount. If you need a soda or snack they have you covered. Soda, tea, coffee, fraps, two kinds of ice and more. Snacks from nuts to froyo to pastries and chips they even have a walk in beer cooler and outdoor tables to eat your treats. read more

This is one of the newer RT's with a good selection of food - which they are apparently trying to upgrade even more - and froyo. Not every RT has froyo, but I remember the ones who do and that's where I buy my gas. read more

Five Stars for a gas station? Yup, because it really can't get much better than this! RaceTrac has raised the bar here! The frozen yogurt is .39 cents an ounce with more toppings available than actual yogurt stores! 32 ounce drinks on sale for .49 cents. Walk in beer fridge. Huge coffee and drink selection. Outdoor seating. Friendly service. I only wish it was closer! read more

This used to be a really nice gas station. It's awful now. Half the pumps are out of service, with yellow bags and or junk Kroger plastic grocery bags over the handles. And I pulled into a pump without one to find the card reader doesn't work. read more
