This place has a ton of empty spaces far away from the store, but they never have available disabled parking. They have the bare minimum number of disabled parking that they're required to have. With all the other empty spaces far out, they can certainly add more disabled parking. If I can never find a space, then I give them one star. read more

The Walmart pickup service is beyond slow. I got a text that my order was ready. I proceeded to find a parking spot the 20 spots weren't available. I had to park in an unmarked parking location and get out of my car after waiting for over 30 mins. The associate was helpful but the wait time was a total of an hour to get my groceries. If I had know it would've taken this long to get my food, I could've have went into the grocery store to shop. read more

Avoid this place. They advertise online and even point the location of the item inside the store. When you go there to pay, it's another price. You speak with customer service and they don't help you and embarass you in front of other customers. Terrible experience. So they made me buy it online for a cheaper price and come back later today to pickup the item. Ridiculous strategy! I was expecting something completely different. As I approach a Walmart Supercenter, I have certain expectations. This store is as expected except on entry to the parking lot it is quite busy as the sky is darkening. Can I make it back out before the rain? I need a close parking space but wait, I only see one store entrance and we are all thinking the same thing. Parking was very crowded near the entrance. Several isles away, I find a space and hope to be quick... yeah, right? I did have a list but it is so easy to get distracted. I have heard "if they don't have it at Walmart, you don't need it" so I had to get looking. I made my selections and was able to check-out after finding everything on my list. The store felt well stocked and I didn't need any assistance so I cannot comment on that. All in all, this is a typical Walmart... and I did get wet rushing to the car with my cart. Well, you have to leave it to Walmart to provide your basic snorkeling needs when you're in Florida, right? I don't really like this store for two reasons. One, it's too far inland and therefore a bit of a drive from the coast. Two, it's quite disorganized and I saw all kinds of stuff strewn about the place with nobody bothering to clean any of it up. Walmart will have to do a better job than that, but at least we didn't have to go to a sports store to get our snorkeling gear. My family was here to purchase two snorkeling masks, some bottled water, and some lip balm. If you're familiar enough with Walmart by now, you'd know that no combination of items appears too strange when they come together as a single purchase. Thanks to the corporation for making that possible, but this store really could use some work. Maybe it's just that fabled Florida weirdness, but this place seems kind of run-down despite being crowded. Not to sound tautologous or anything, but I would only ever visit again if I needed to go to Walmart in the area. read more

Employees don't wear their masks here. No help when you ask where to find certain items. Employees curse and gave inappropriate conversations in front of customers even children! Please Walmart can you make sure your employees understand we are in a pandemic this is unacceptable! Also, customer service made a mistake with my return and put it on a gift card when I paid cash and then said there was nothing they could do since it was already put onto the gift card. This is by far the worst Walmart, I come here because it's a minute from my house but I dread it every time. The employees are beyond rude!!!!!! And you cannot get anyone on the phone if you call the store, and the employees that DO answer will yell at you if you get transferred to their department..... Never a manager or supervisor in the store or available over the phone. you can't ever find a parking spot because at-least 50 of the spots are filled with carts that don't get brought in but five- six of the employees are sitting outside on a bench... the store will have lines of 15-20 shoppers and only 3 open registers... and again 5-6 employees sitting and watching. The biggest issue with this store is the management... not sure if they have an actual job function but corporate should review. read more

The Walmart in Davie Florida on University Drive is absolutely horrible. It's dirty inside everyone is in a hurry, and the employees are not very good at all. And that's if you could even find any employees to help you. Plus they can't keep the shelf stocked and the prices are higher than most other Walmarts I've been to around the country. read more

I'm not an expert of all things Walmart. I find this location very convenient, so it's the only reason I shop here at all. The food items are so so in the deli area. I used to grab a quick salad for lunch, but reached a point where I just got sick of them. The thing I think that keeps me coming back is the convenience factor. I can grab cat food for my furry friends, or even a Stouffers Mac N Cheese if I get a craving. They have the self service checkout, which I like because it's fast. I never wait in line in the morning time. Also I can get cash back and the machines dispense $10 bills, which is cool. read more

The Super Walmart is huge! When I walk in I have a game plan in my head and hit it. This store is easy to park at. It is clean. The staff is friendly and smile, yes I said they smile! Walmart doesn't have the best rep, but the prices do make a big savings. I'm getting products here that I haven't seen in ages. Texas Toast. It is thickly sliced loaf of bread. Less than $2.00 and yes name brand. The fresh produce has savings but beware of other areas like milk same as others. Walgreens IS the cheapest! The fresh baked goods are priced great, loaf of bread $1.00 for any kind. They have an app for your smartphone. Just scan in your receipt when done and after for about a week they compare against competitors for difference and give it back! Yes I have gotten this. :-)) This store is 1000% better than the one on Flamingo. Think I have said plenty. PS- they have a hair salon in here! I don't normally review stores but this Walmart Supercenter is pretty awesome. The location is ideal with the big space and ample parking. I come here to do my weekly grocery shopping, but of course I never walk out with just what I need. The selection of products is outrageous. Prices are pretty low and I always wind up walking out of here a happy camper. There are an array of mixed reviews and I get that, but take in mind this IS a wal-mart and not an exclusive department store. Sometimes the employees are a little rude but I take it with a grain of salt. I don't mind because the prices are great and they always have a great selection. read more

This Walmart is less than 2 years old and it gets 2 stars. I have been here one time. On purpose. I am a target girl through and through and I deliberately drive PAST walmart to go to said Target. This store is less than 2 years old but you would never know going into it. I ordered something I needed with the "site to store" option to decrease the amount of time I would be in the store. Or so I thought. The site to store desk is right at the front. Cool, should be easy to get in and out-you would think. Well that would be a good train of thought if there was somebody at the desk working. I had to walk around for a good 15 minutes until I found an assistant manager to help me. He then was apparently too busy and radio-ed for someone. In that 15 minutes I spend walking it would have been faster to go into the store and get it myself, but they already had my money by now. By the time I got someone to help me at the actual desk, they had to start up the computer to find my order. This was the equivalent of starting a PC running Windows 95. It took almost 10 minutes bringing our total to 25 by now. I had the order number in my email but that wasn't sufficient to go grab the item apparently. FINALLY I get my item, and we crash again. All I had to do was sign for it, again I had paid ahead. I was furious at this point. Computer restarted faster by this point but the person didn't even attempt to apologize for the fact that I had been in the store for over 30 minutes. The lack of customer service and computer issues for a 2 year old store is just a drop in the bucket compared to what first hit me when I came into the store. IT"S DIRTY. As I was walking around looking for someone to help me, I noticed garbage everywhere. People evidently eat while they shop and leave the trash all over the floor. I saw visible dust bunnies and cobwebs, and there were multiple spills and sticky spots on the floor. Ummm, does anybody clean this store? I'm really glad I didn't see the restroom. And people wonder why I'll spend 20 extra cents to shop elsewhere. read more

I went to Electronics to buy a laptop when I was stopped by these very persistent sales guys asking "what type of cable and internet I had? Well it's none of their concern. I got so upset that later I bought the computer at another major retailer for more $ just so that I would not give them my business. On the way out of Walmart Mr.Wolfgang stopped me and scanned several items in my basket against my receipt to see if I had paid for everything. The funny thing is that while he was scanning my items several folks went unscanned. This is a discriminatory practice that is going to land Walmart a law suit one day. What a terrible disappointment after a much-anticipated opening of this location :( Let me start by saying that I am one who prefers Walmart over Target. Their prices are better most of the time, and they do not have that annoying return policy that target does, which goes hand-in-hand with treating their customers better. That being said, I DO acknowledge that Target is a more visually appealing store, and brings in a nicer merchandise mix in certain departments. I expected to walk into this store for the first time, and be impressed by a shiny, new Walmart. I was not. In fact, it was quite the opposite, I am sorry to say! The store looks like an older store that is in need of remodeling. The floor is absolutely HORRIBLE! The lighting isn't great either. All around...fixtures, signage, merchandise, and very importantly, employee quality, all fell short! My first visit was on a Sunday night, and the store was in TOTAL DISARRAY. They were out of everything. I expected to spend well over $100 that night, and ended up spending less than $50. I know that Sundays are busy, but if you are going to be a 24 hour store, you had better get it together! My second visit was a couple of weeks later. Mid-week, mid-day. I had hoped that they had gotten their act together a bit by then. It was not quite as bad regarding the empty shelves and the mess, but no change in the employee quality. It was also pouring rain on that day. There were leaks all over the store! A brand new roof leaking in so many places? That is not OK! Walmart, I love you, but you need to get it together here! Some heads need to roll on all levels of this project! I only hope that I am writing a review update in a few months, to talk about the improvements. read more

I have visited 3 times since their opening and I am just not impressed with this location. Layout of this store is terrible and customer service is lacking. If you're there to cruise the isles that may be one thing, but I went to grab a few specific things and found this Wal-Mart difficult to navigate in comparison to others. On the 3rd visit I needed to make an exchange. The line was long at customer service but two cashiers were open and it moved rather quickly. That is, until I was next. The lady in front of me had a cart filled with groceries and was returning ALL OF IT. How do you go grocery shopping only to decide it all needs to be returned? Anyway, as one employee handled the groceries, my turn came around and the second employee said nothing. Not peep! Unable to make eye contact, I began to advance forward. That's when he looked up and waved his hand signaling not to come any further. Where do they find these people? Anyway, I waited patiently and watched on as he did nothing the whole time. He walked around a bit, talked to his coworkers, etc. Meanwhile the line was growing and grocery lady was only half way through. Finally the complaints began as customers became impatient. Right about this time grocery lady finished and the same girl that helped her, diligently and politely helped me. The second employee also ran back to his post after pushing customers to their limit and began helping again, but not before giving some lame excuse as to why he NEEDED to lollygag the last 20 mins. Bravo, dude, bravo. You've got "working the absolute minimum without getting fired" down pat. read more

Absolutely the worst of any walmart anywhere. Staff here gives exactly zero fucks about their work or the company reputation they are indifferently destroying. Walmart corporate you need to audit this site for compliance. Reasons: zero items are restocked, staff shrugs indifferently when asked anything, checkout is done with the staff having the attitude that you are bothering them. Exactly one employee had a decent attitude so thank you Ebony for smiling and displaying interest in your job by treating the elderly couple in front of me with courtesy and helping them when they had issues checking out. This is not my favorite store but I have seen worse locations. I can see the staff doing there best but this location just like many Walmart's just don't have the support. I see that they have put greeters at the door. I don't need someone to greet me. I need someone in the aisles to assist me when I can't find a product. This store has to be the worst! The help is Terrible!! The workers do not want to help you. I was in the baby section and a lady wouldn't even look at me when I was trying to ask for help as she was on her own personal phone chatting away, she had a ear piece in and was speaking in a different language. I asked another worker if they were allowed to do that and didn't understand what I was saying. I asked again are you allowed to talk on your personal phone while working? and she sent me to the phone section!! Good lord!!! And they demand better pay!!!! Horrible service at Davie Walmart today, we only went there to get picture Christmas cards because our closest Walmart does not have photo center any longer. You need to drive a little farther to shop at the Cooper City Walmart. At this Davie Walmart the self check-out machines do not function properly and assistance was not available. Finally an assistant manager came to assist and then would not allow me to purchase beer because my daughter did not have ID. What is that policy? She was rude and uncooperative!!! I had ID and was purchasing the beer for my husband but was not able to make this purchase!! Since when can an adult way over age. . .not able to purchase beer in the self check out???? Going for any kind of online pickup at this location is 97.5% of the time a NIGHTMARE! Probably quicker and better off going in to shop for yourself. Nothing is ever ready when notification to pickup is received and more times than not there's an issue with the order along the way. After reading the rest of the reviews and seeing a trend I almost felt it necessary to leave my 2 cents. AVOID ONLINE PICKUP!! As many people as they have working in that area you'd expect better service. Yet the minimum wage is supposed to go up? SMH! Do better Walmart. Delivering for Postmates, I visit all the surrounding Walmart's in the area and for as big as this location is they are the most disheveled, unprofessional store of the lot. Now here over an hour, still can't figure it out. Don't know what's worse the fact I'm still here waiting or how terrible they're customer service is. I come to this particular wal-mart 1 to 2 times a week. It's a step above majority of walmarts here in south florida. It's well kept, super clean, and always has what i need. Today i used their vision center and got what i felt a good deal on glasses and lenses. This is my go to wal mart and i don't even live in davie, but i don't mind the extra few mins drive to come here and shop and have a comfortable shopping experience. read more

First off, I want to apologize for the length of this review. The only reason this store gets one star is because A) I'm unable to give less and B) Walmart does in general does have good prices. For the most part I avoid this particular Walmart on University because more often than not they seem to be out of stock of many items I specifically go there to purchase. I wouldn't say the staff at any Walmart are very pleasant, but the the staff here are just straight up rude and unhelpful (I will go into more detail about this later). Thursday night I showed up for some late night shopping and was there about an hour before an announcement was made stating they were closing shortly. A male employee was standing near by and I double checked with him to make sure I could figure what light bulb I needed before I headed to check out, he assured me that was perfectly fine. No more than 2 minutes passed and I began heading to checkout. On the way to the registers a female employee said, "we're closed" to which I responded, "I know, I'm on my way to check out" and that was the end of the exchange. I get to the registers and another woman's groceries are being bagged, but I am told I cannot pay and literally had to leave my cart full of items and walk out empty handed. This obviously left me furious. I wish more than anything I had known that this was about to occur because I would have filled my cart to the brim with anything I could find. Besides the fact that I had spent an hour shopping and was denied the ability to purchase my items, it seems that every single time I go to this specific Walmart I have a terrible experience. Why was I not allowed to purchase my items if another woman was still paying and having her items bagged? What business, especially a large corporate store, does not check to make sure all of their customers are out before closing down all of their registers? In my opinion, Walmart needs to set some new policies in place or have their employees follow them. To return to the lack of customer service/ rudeness I spoke of earlier, I have a few examples I'd like to share, which all occurred during separate visits: #1: I was cashing out and an elderly gentleman got in line behind me. The female cashier immediately turned off her "open" light and rudely told the man she was closed and must go to another line. I was glad he pointed out that her light was on when he entered the line, but he clearly became confused and she continued to argue until he eventually left to another line. What upset me even more was that I had to listen to her curse and complain under her breath about him for the rest of my transaction. #2: A female cashier was absolutely miserable (you could see it on her face and blantenly hear it in her voice) She spent the entire time cashing me out talking shit about her job, customers and other negative nonsense. #3: I was shopping at Walmart mid-afternoon/early evening and a display shelf at the end of an aisle was blocked by one of those push lifts full of boxes. I attempted to squeeze my arm through the small crack to retrieve the item as an employee stood there chatting it up with another employee. It was literally just a fingertips length away. Eventually, I gave up and had to interrupt their conversation, because I couldn't stand there any longer awkwardly as she ignored me, to ask if there was another place I could find the item I needed and she said no. I asked if she could slide the push lift over a couple of inches just so I was able to slide my hand in a little further to get my item and I was told no and then she swiftly turned around and continued speaking with her friend. Once again, I left Walmart empty handed. These are all examples of just unbelievably awful customer service. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years and I can't imagine acting or speaking this way towards anyone! My last complaint: As large of a corporation Walmart is and with all the business they do, how is it possible that no matter how busy it is and how many customers deep the lines are, do they only have like a maximum five registers open? Why bother spending money on creating 20 lanes? They most definitely have the money to schedule a few more people on registers to make their customers experience better, because in my opinion it's an awful place to patronage and if I had more money to spend I would take my business to entirely different company. I'm sure if you've taken the time to fully read this review, you may be asking why I continue to frequent a store where time after time I have bad experiences and the answer is because this location is only minutes from my apartment, but I promise you, I will never again give my business to them and will spread the word around about how awful this Walmart is run. read more
