I come to this store 1 or 2 times per week since they open. Most of the employees are pretty helpful along with the pharmacy. Today I spoke to Doris & Tanesha, both managers. They told me that they will not match a price on printer ink from Amazon because it said PRIME next to it since you have to 'join' prime. Nobody HAS to join Prime & I proved to them that they were wrong. They were argumentative and not helpful at all in fact Tanesha even walked away from me and refused to help. My go to store when looking for low price items. They are pretty good on low prices here. The only thing is that they are usually out of stock on what your looking for. For a walmart, this is my go to store. The prices are great, its generally pretty clean and I've always had a pretty good shopping experience. Anyone who has shopped at walmart before knows that you can't take that for granted. Overall, no complaints and this store is on the higher end of what you would expect from a visit to walmart. I have never written a bad review on anywhere, I understand retail and big box stores such as these and how hectic it can get. However, the management needs more training and human decency to deal with their employees. I ordered this morning for pickup in my car. I showed up at the beginning of my 5-6 pm window and waited for almost an hour when I went to ask where my order was. It said my order was picked up and I was charged over $70. Several cars pulled in, got their items brought out, and left before me. When I went the first time they said that they will handle it. Three more orders came out, none for me. 20 minutes later, I went IN THE STORE, which i was trying to avoid hence the car pickup. I had employees telling me I parked in the wrong spot and that my order was given to another car. This is 1.5 hours in, I'm waiting inside for the manager to tell me if I can get a refund. I asked multiple times to speak to him directly because I did not want to bother employees. He or she refused, they said I'll get a refund and sent me on my way. Almost two hours later and I left Walmart with nothing. I have never experienced such shitty service and I will be taking my business elsewhere. It's not that difficult to do basic car drop off services, if you need training there are many people with common sense, including me, that can show you. read more

After reading these negative reviews I KNEW it was the store on University Drive and Orange drive!!!!!! This store is around the corner from my house but I STILL prefer shopping at the Walmart on Flamingo Rd. and Griffin Road. You all are right about the employees (most, anyway) being rude. I knew from the first day they opened I would be miserable/unhappy there . They will almost knock you over and not apologize, when stocking items some won't even move out of the way if you need something where they are blocking the item you need. I have had to move the carts MYSELF to get the item. That seemed to irritate one employee when I did that. I went there the other day for a couple of items and asked myself, "what the H am I DOING here?" The Walmart on Flamingo has nicer people working there. Now that the Univ. store has hired temps for the holidays I am staying away from there. I only go there in a pinch. NEVER for all my groceries or other incidentals. You mean there is a Wal-Mart where the people are NOT ghetto? Who would've thought? That was a welcome change, as was finding most of the checkout lanes actually being operational. Coming from the Miami Gardens location, which always has huge lines and only 2 cashiers working, this was refreshing, and a pleasant surprise. I was able to check out in about 10 minutes. Well, as for the variety of items available and good prices it's a good place. But, that's the only positives. Here's the tradeoff.... 1) the parking lot is huge and always packed and full of dangerous drivers trying to run you over. walk at your own risk.. 2) There are never enough cashiers, usually less then 3..... and I hate using the self scan lanes.....they make us do the all the scanning work?....no...just no 3. Always there are employees unloading massive crates blocking the lanes In the day at all hours..bad wallmart....at least act like you care about customer service and safety. 4. No customer service, and if you get any, don't have high expectations... 5. They are replacing humans with many robots, Im not kidding!! (so much for wallmart helping local economies with jobs) 6.Always too crowded..It always escapes me as to why so many like wallmart, I guess we all are poor, and complacent consumers of low quality stuff from china... 5. store is too big!!!! 6.wallmart doesnt allow R.V. campers to park overnight, whereas many other Wallmarts up north do welcome it... welcome to south floriduh, Aaaawholes! So, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.....Between parking really far and needing to go from one side of the store to the other prepare to lose an hour while shopping. Customer service was friendly and professional however there was a gay employee dancing and shaking his butt in front of the Walmart.com counter. I went to approach the counter and he nonchalantly moved over and made me uncomfortable because he was staring at me and my son as we stood waiting for our order. Just got done working a 12 hour shift, so decided to go to self check out to get things done quickly. I organize my frozen food and things the way I like them and start to bag when this older woman with short straight blackish brown hair comes up as I'm bagging my things and GRABS my 24 pack and jumps in front of me to ring it up. RUDE! DO NOT TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIEVES. She said "let me get this for you.". Then drops it on the bag area and walks away. I mean if your gonna breath down my neck at least put the 24 pack back in the cart and act like it was an actual act of kindness instead of a rude and disrespectful act of nastiness. This is the second time I try to get my blood pressure medications and once they said the prescription was missing the HCTZ 20mg/12.5 mg now the lady said she doesn't understand the doctors writing. My daughter went to this place to buy sparklers they told her to get her dad. I showed up to buy and they refused to sell them to me. This store has the worst policies for purchasing anything. I was shopping and wanted to buy a bottle of wine with my things. They refused to sell to me because I had my little sister with me, she's a child and they wouldn't let me buy a bottle of wine because she didn't have id. Never shopping here again. This Walmart is super new, clean, and the staff is pretty friendly. I've been here 4 times since it opened. The only complaint I have is that some of the product around the store isn't in line with what the locals want...yet. So if you don't see something that you would normally find in another Walmart, find a manager, make a suggestion, or send an email. Oh, and one more big no-no. Ladies, do not let Jennifer (older lady, Cuban maybe?) at the hair center cut your hair. I was desperate for a quick, cheap cut, and that's exactly what I got. I was never a fan of Walmart however when i actually started going and shopping here I kind of like it. This Walmart firstly is near thus it easy access for me. Secondly, after few experiences I realize this Walmart is humongous compared to other walmarts. This means, that we have variety of things and it carries everything that we need. I don't have to run to different places just to buy one thing. I can buy all grocery and house hold stuff in this one place which definitely makes everything a lot easier! The only thing I don't like about this store is their customer service. Although, they are helpful sometimes they will never be able to process things quickly. For example, there are almost 8-10 registers where we have self checkouts and speedy checkout registers too. However, there will be never all registers at one time. Even if it is their peak hour or their dead hour. They won't open their registers. And there always will be 2 people who are ready to leave the place and will just close the register on you! Like what.. I have been waiting in this line and you won't take me because your time at work is over!?! It makes no sense at all. Overall, the place is good in sense of access and actually getting the stuff but chances are you sometimes won't get out too happy out of the store. There can be things which might ruin your mood so just be careful and enjoy doing grocery and house shopping! read more

If I could rate this store 0 stars I definitely would! This place is totally ridiculous! Their staff is very disrespectful and honestly nobody gives a damn about their job, about customer service or customer happiness. I just left the store very very unhappy, actually that's an understatement I'm beyond Furious! Now first off, I will tell you that I am a frequent customer and by that I at least go there four times a week with my family. Today I went by myself looking for a new outfit, bras and underwear. As I am a big chested woman it is hard to find bras in my size. I managed to find one bra that could possibly fit me and it was white, so I took it with me along with the outfits that I picked out to try on. Not only was I totally disrespected by the girl in the dressing room area because she thought the clothes I picked out wouldn't fit me even though she didn't even know what size they were she told me I couldn't try on the bra because it was white. As I stood there looking dumb founded I showed her my bra and that it was black matching my shirt with skulls on it and reassured her I would not be stealing anything. She just looked at me dumb and said it was store policy that we couldn't try on white bras. I explained to the girl that there were no other bras in this size this was the biggest one that they had and that I needed to try it on. Her reply was it's too damn fucking bad get another bra in a different color. I am so pissed off at this point and I proceeded to throw all of the clothes the bra and the pack of underwear right on the counter and stormed the hell out of the store. I don't wish bad on anybody ,but I do hope that this girl gets her job ripped out from underneath her like a rug. Also if this is a policy Walmart, I hope you're listening to this and change your fucked policies because not everybody can find something else in another color. I visited the Davie Walmart store for the very first time tonight, and was not impressed, and my husband was not impressed either. I waited for about ten minutes for a ship to store Walmart employee to show up at the counter, but to no avail, so I ended up walking over to the store's customer service (booth at cash registers). She not only took someone else, other than me, but she dis-missed me too...for example, at first she asked me what I needed, and I informed her nicely that I needed someone at the ship to store area, but then another customer walked up and she questioned her is she needed her help, and then left me hanging waiting for her to finish with the other customer! I waited, and she finally asked me again, and I again informed her..she then turned her attention to another Walmart employee and asked her to assist me, who in turn, rolled her eyes at me, and then informed me that she would have to radio someone and to go to the ship to store counter and wait. Well, I did as said, and waited and waited, even though my health is not up to par and I did not feel strong...I ended up pulling up a chair and sitting..must have waited for about another fifteen minutes before some young man Walmart employee (Eric?) casually walked up. I was impressed that he apologized for my wait, and I thought, 'well here is a rare bird who is nice', but after asking him to check the price of an item, just for clarity, he began typing in the serial numbers and then he stuffed the price tag up at me, asking me to read what it said...I read it out loud and he then stuffed it at me again, and again, and then I said 'so what'? And he said, you made me look up something that you already knew the price of..I said, 'so I wanted to clarify the price, just to make sure,' in which he said okay. I did not like his resentful attitude. Then he informed me that he was sorry that he could not check out items at the ship to store counter due to store being too close to closing time. He rang up my ship to store items, and then gave me a sales receipt..I mentioned nicely, 'well you said not to pay for anything here, but now you give me a sales receipt'? In which he snapped at me and said, 'well, I wouldn't have rang them up if I told you something like that, now would I' ? I replied, 'well you previously informed me that you could not ring up orders here and that I would have to take them to the cashier's' in which he replied, 'no, I meant other things other than ship to store..LOOK, if ANYTHING is located in that ship to store bin in the back room, then they have already been rung up previously..there is no way I could get them out of that bin otherwise' ! Wow, what a cocky sob he was...so uncalled for. I said, 'well how was I suppose to know that..I don't work here..can't anyone ask you people anything' ? He was such a cocky sob! I felt upset at myself for not being prepared for this quite witted sob's attitude..makes me angry at myself for just standing and taking it from him. Anyhow, I had to find Bleach, and he asked me to follow him to the aisle, in which I did...I did not enjoy my first visit at this store. He ended up passing his job onto another employee who showed me where the Bleach was..this employee was very nice. There were not too many nice ones though..I did not enjoy my first visit..I think it will be Cooper City next time for me..I like that Walmart..the employee's are MUCH nicer! As I was leaving the store, there was a woman Walmart employee who was loudly complaining for at least 25 minutes about how 'horrible' we Walmart customers are to them...it is apparent that these Walmart employee's are allowed to treat customers like crap...her behavior showed that the Walmart employee's come first, not the customers. Some lady customer walked past her and mentioned loudly that 'if it weren't for us, you would not be here working either'..she still complained and complained and loudly. I shop here once a month, when i'm in the area. For the most part, I always find everything I need, the only problem is sometimes the lack of cashiers, and most are older workers so they take decades to check you out. I feel that the cashiers should be replaced with a younger crowd, only to keep the lines moving on busy days, and older workers should be made to work early mornings. Also, the customer service area, needs to employ more workers, people get frustrated with the long lines, cause there are only 2 cashiers at a time and most are busy gossiping instead of working. read more

I have been going to this Walmart since it first opened and never had a problem with just getting my stuff and checking out. Usually they have enough cashiers where it doesnt seem like your waiting an eternity like Winn Dixie. I do admit the two problems with the brick and mortar store is that it leaks when it rains and second it feels hot as heck at times. Now the problem I had today was with customer service. I went about my shopping was ready to check out and I decided to apply for the Walmart credit card with a 20 cash back statement credit. If i was in a rush oh boy i wouldve raised hell with this process. First off the credit app process was fast for me but for other customers behind me it would have been a wait a 5 minute wait... second off should be seemingly easy after the credit is approved to check out with the items I had but no it wasnt. The transaction was not processing with the new credit line i had acquired. So she had me call from my phone to get this resolved, than after 10 minutes on phone the customer service rep told me that the cashier needed to call. Oh boy!!! Cashier finally called from her customer service phone and she got the problem resolved after 30 minutes of waiting. The mistake was that another cashier had entered the driver license number incorrect!!! Not my mistake!!! So after getting this resolved the cashier went back to a station and tried to pull up my transaction and of course it was gone. Now I got upset and tried to talk to Edwina the customer service rep to see what she had to say ... the typical "I'm sorry" is what I got out of her. I said after 30 minutes of waiting off a mistake, that was not my fault, and now I have to take everything out of the cart and get it re rang up .. she didnt even help to take things off cart!! all she can say I am sorry. I honestly would have been happy with a 10 dollar coupon or whatever.. anyone can say sorry but I think most people would be happy with some other type of discount. The thing is here is not about the money but how things are handled Edwina Customer service rep didnt even come help out when cashier was taken clearly to long to resolve this issue. The cashier didnt even have a clue how to resolve this issue. Is this a traning issue??? Should really reconsider traning cashiers on this because it is part of their job and have your customer service rep ease the pain by at least acting like they care!! If this was not Walmart I will never go back to the store but since Walmart does have good pricing and great inventory I sadly have to say I will have to go back and see Edwina and her terrible customer service skills again:( read more

my girlfriend and i couldn't wait for the new super wal-mart to open b/c we love wal-mart but after eating one of their deli subs on a saturday afternoon,we came down with horrible food poisoning. We had the diarreah from HELL . That lasted 2 days . Not to mention projectile vomiting which my girlfriend had , and i was lucky enough to pass out , bust my nose and lip on the wall as I was heading to the bathroom for the tenth time. Oh let's not forget the nausea , cramping , and migraine that ensued . My girlfriend proceeded to call Walmart to speak to the manager Garth with no avail , then preceeded to call the corporate head quarters and spoke to two gentleman who were understanding of the situation and told her they would look into it . The next day my gf received a phone call from Garth who told me that he recieved a phone call from corporate headquarters. he showed no compassion or understanding for what my gf and I have gone through with the severe case of food posioning. He offered no apology and even tried to suggest that the food posioning did not come from Walmart's subs. My gf was throughly insulted.
