We bought some Christmas lights a week ago and ended up needing more. I went back to the store in smith road to look for the lights, after asking an employee, it was my understanding that they didn't have anymore or Maybe they just needed to be restocked. With that being said, I left the store and checked online with hope that I would find that in stock at another location. I ended up finding what I needed and it said they were in stock at the store I was just at on smith road. I decided to order them for pick up later. I go back to pick them up today and they gave me the wrong color as well as the wrong lights. The lights they gave me were actually more expensive too. I decided to go to customer service and see what they can do. I was fine with going to a different store, I just didn't understand why I was directed to this one when ordering online if they didn't have them. The young lady I approached was named Viviana, she she immediately looked up my order while she was also asking for help from another employee who said "if she wants different lights she can go look for them." The things is that first of all, I came in person happily to look for what I needed and I even asked for help in that moment with no success. No one is ever willing to help and I am never surprised nieces I don't expect good customer service at Walmart. What I do expect is to get what I paid for and that couldn't even be done. Finally... Viviana continued looking up my order and then looked up what was in stock. She said they had them and when she was able to be relieved she went to look for them. She came back with exactly what I needed. I am beyond appreciative of Viviana. Thank you Viviana! read more

This is the closest Walmart to where I live, so I frequent it quite often. I must say, I love the new renovations! I also must admit that the transition was absolutely horrendous, but I do love what they've become! Lol. The layout is nice, the store is clean, and everyone seems to be moving at a much faster pace. Generally don't like Walmart but it was the closest store within 10mins of my hotel...this location is bad even by Walmart standards...seems like a newer store but they don't seem to have the staffing down. Haven't been in a Walmart in six years, but I needed Rit Dye for my niece's school project. Have you ever tried to find the stuff? I called Target, Kmart, King Soopers, Safeway, Albertson's, Walgreen's, Ace Hardware, Tru-Value, Michael's, and finally Hobby Lobby had two colors: pink and yellow, I needed Red. I received the same reply: "We used to carry it, but it didn't sell, check Walmart." Had pretty much the same awful Walmart experience as everyone else. I knew the people surrounding me were making menial wages and most of them worked just enough hours to not qualify as full-time employees. I had three boxes of dye and told the checker I didn't need a bag. She threw my items in a bag anyway. I pulled them out. I stay away from Walmart and didn't shop around this time, because I know what this chain does to communities and what they do to their employees. So not only does this Walmart take security to a level where it ruins your shopping experience but they had a uniformed Walmart security officer asking for peoples receipts as they left and entered. I shop at Walmart for the deals that are sparse, and rarely do I enjoy shopping at locations that don't care about the planet we live on thru gross negligence and brand labeling. I do not shop there to get stopped as I walk out the door with what I paid for. This Walmart gets two stars just because they have wide parking spaces that easily fit large trucks and campers. Reading all of the other reviews it seems like people seem to have a pretty high standard for what a Wal-Mart should be. Clearly it's not a boutique mom & pop store. Clearly it's not targeted to the wealthy or those with a fear of minorities. Clearly it's just like every other wal-mart. I'm not sure why people seem to get so riled up about Wal-mart not having fully staffed registers. They clearly don't need that many people for an average day. As far as I can tell, the Stapleton wal-mart seems to be on par with every other wal-mart I've ever been to. They also seem to be doing well enough to have stayed in business this long. Evidently they aren't completely wrecking themselves. I go here to buy frozen juice concentrate. I tend to like their "Great Value" (in house brand) lemonade as it's more citric than sweet. Perfect, and less than $.90 a can. I've also had pleasant experiences with their tire and lube service over in the corner of the store. They do tire mountings for $10 ($5 for the mount, $5 for the balance) and I got an oil change for $24. What's not to love? All I ask is that people take a step back and really decide what kind of standard they're holding wal-mart to. What they do, they do right. Hence the global domination bit. read more

I only stop by this store IF I am in a huge rush...because it's on my way home from work. It's crowded, dirty and the produce section is just gross. On one occasion, I was in search of a tacky Christmas sweater when I saw a rat skitter across the floor and go under the soda display. So it's not the worst Walmart(that honor goes to the one near the Oakland Airport that I was almost car jacked at) but it's a close second. The staff are the rudest. If your in, just for fun ask where something is.. Standard answer "oh, we don't carry that." Really? Of course I've always searched and found it on my own a few minutes later. What they actually mean is I don't know, I don't care. This Walmart is also known to have one of the highest crime rates for shoplifting in Denver. But hey, maybe they don't carry the stuff that is being stolen. ;) Funny that's the case when it is located 1/2 blocks from the FBI offices and in between popular Stapleton and Park Hill. read more

Really bad customer service here, I ordered my grocery pick up from this location with 5-6pm pick up window, I checked my app my order was delayed, haven't receive the confirmation email to pick up my groceries, I waited almost until 6pm. No one even bother to call me, I had to call the 1-800 number they told me my order might be still not ready or incomplete.. then I call the actual store the lady told me she can't help me coz she's busy. I gave up, get my refund and went to another store to buy my groceries..such a waste of time. Avoid this location at all costs! read more

This place is horrible. The have manual wheel chairs versus power . None were at the door. The shelves are disorganized overcrowded. people are sitting in the dining room section as if they are at home. I have seen several staff and no one has offered me assistance in my time of need. It's clear i can't reach the top shelf. A employee just hit me with a mop. This seems perfect for a people watching excursion. The are long average 10 customers to a line. There are random basket of abandoned food. At customer service desk they had a cart of returned freezer food that they were taking back to the freezer. Been here several times and found it acceptable. Today not. Went in to get a printer/cartridges for adult son's birthday. Person at desk in electronics did not know how to create a gift receipt -- apparently can only be done as part of the initial ring-up. Not after. Manager paged repeatedly, no one ever came. Waited about ten minutes. Went to customer service which was FILLED with product to be returned, maybe 15 carts. 5 people behind desk, only two handling customers. Waited about 20 min to get to the front of the line. FINALLY, started to work on our problem. CSRs took about another twenty minutes just to try several ways of generating a simple gift receipt. There are people out there who hate Walmart as something of a religion, I'm not one of those people. I went here at 10:00 on Thanksgiving in order to get a TV super cheap. The staff was excellent even as the patrons were acting like maniacs. Seriously, who grabs a laptop out of another persons shopping cart? Don't do things to other people you wouldn't want done to you. But that isn't the staffs fault, humans suck. Also, I come here about once a week, this is the only place I can find soy chorizo and their selection of Mexican food is fantastic. Again, I don't blame this Walmart for its clientele, hell, to the Latinos and Blacks I'm probably a horrible sight with my "man-pries," Kippah and hipster t-shirts. We arrived and waited for 2 hours to have a tire repair done. When we arrived we were told we were the next person in line. Finally after waiting for two hours we were told they couldn't do the work because the tread was too far gone. We bought the tires 30,000 miles ago from Walmart and they told us there was nothing they could do to help. Going elsewhere tomorrow for new tires!!! read more

Mediocre by even Wal*Mart standards. Fairly clean inside. Always packed no matter when I go. They also always have the checkout lanes severely understaffed here. As I won't go to the one in Commerce City proper (when your store is tagged in gang crap outside on signs you have a problem) this is my closest Wal*Mart. Can be a pain getting in and out of the parking lot from Quebec but overall not too bad, especially if you park in the back. As for those who don't understand why there needs to be more than 5 of the 30 registers open... each lane of the 5 had no less than 15 people in it. Also, I don't understand why there are not more than 2 self-serve checkers here unless there is a shoplifting problem. Then again, I was harassed by the greeter on exiting with my one package because it wasn't in a bag. By the time I heard her she bitched me out because "I have a bad knee" and you made me come all the way over here. Uh yeah, whatever. You're lucky I even stopped to "have my receipt checked" - your knee is not my problem when the management decided to put you on the door as a greeter. Anyway, I've been in better Wal*Marts (think Broomfield and California stores) but this one is the nicer one in the immediate area (CC is the worst, Aurora at I-70/40th is Okay, and this is one notch above.) A solid 3 even with the lame checkout policies because it is kept clean and well-stocked. Like others I only go here when SuperTarget or King Soopers don't have what I need. read more

I was the first person here on a Saturday. I asked to get four tires installed and it took over 3 hours. There was 3 employees but 2 didn't seem to do anything. I've gone to tire stores in the past. It took under 20 minutes to install, not 3 hours. Bottom line: don't come here. The service is terrible! read more

Normally I don't have too terrible of a time shopping here, usually enjoy my people watching while shopping. But tonight has to be the worst experience I have ever had inside a walmart. I am used to walmart's being dirty and understaffed, but the amount tonight was incredible. Waited in line for over 20 minutes where there was only 5 registers open-each with a line going out to the merchandise across the walk aisle. Then when getting up to the register, there was meat, RAW MEAT sitting ontop of the soda machine, abandoned and left sitting for god knows how long (I even touched it to see the temp and it was room temp already...gross). The floor is covered in dirty mess, old gum and who knows what other gross substances. To be so understaffed or under-cared to not bother cleaning up the abandoned items of shoppers, or to run a mop down the aisles to try at an attempt of cleaning is so ridiculous to the point of almost unbelievability. Normally I can deal with the laziness and dirtiness of majority of walmart stores, but this one...after tonight probably not. So disgusted. read more

Had a dead battery purchased at your Walmart (second one) that was still under warranty. The young woman at the counter (on 2/10/21) was very friendly and helpful (did not get her name but she had lovely purple streaks through her black hair). Before she could exchange it for a new one it had to be tested, make sure it was truly dead. That's fair. Came back about an hour later. Dead indeed. Gave me fully charged new one and I was on my way. No muss. No fuss. Not bad. Thank you. read more

The only reason it gets that higher start was because a manager by the name of Eric actually checked me out while there was a shit of a line out the door. I shopped at this Walmart ONCE 8 years ago, and the memory of it is still in my mind. I lived in a small apartment in capitol hill. I decided to buy a couple of folding TV trays, since my apartment was not big enough for a dining room table. So one day when I was driving around the Denver Metro area, I saw a Walmart sign, and thought, oh yeah, I need to get TV trays. I went into the store, and it was in disarray, but I expect to see this at a place like Walmart. I was looking around, and could not find what I was looking for. I saw a woman, the only way I could tell she was an employee and not a homeless person withdrawing from crack, was because she was wearing a blue smock. Her hair wasn't even BRUSHED. It was half matted on one side, and the other side was fine. She also had that icky white film in the corners of her mouth. I asked her "Where are your TV trays?" She said "Wuh?" Not "Pardon me" or "What?" she said WUH. I repeated myself and she started rambling and pointing at stuff. I have heard more complete sentences come out of Boomhaur's mouth (King of The Hill). I had to find someone else to ask. I did find the folding trays. I bought them, and I never went to that Walmart again. It was the worst experience ever. There was another walmart I went to, looking for vegetable broth, and couldn't find any so I let the cashier (who looked like an obese pipi longstocking) know. All she said was "Vedgebull broff? Whut dat?" I think Pipi might have been transferred from the Stapleton Walmart. read more

This Walmart is more convenient for me during day so I pop-in from time to time. As far as Walmarts go it's just okay. It's not a new store and even in the middle of the day it seems extremely crowded. The employees seem to really dis-like their jobs as they all seem very unhappy. So with all of that I really do try to go to the WalMart in Parker, by my house. Which is cleaner and the employees appear to be happier. read more

The amount of trash in the parking lot and in the store is a wow factor. Looks like management needs to lead by example in the clean up department. This location is in a nice enough area but is poorly maintained. The store has empty shelves and items are never properly faced on the shelves giving the scattered appearance. The automotive sections at this location is a joke, the shelves are empty and products are scattered all over the place. I keep my trips to this location very limited. I try and keep it to 5 visits a year. If you own a nice vehicle, park at your own risk. There are shady folks in the parking lot areas and the ever so present shopping cart heard in the entire parking lot. The parking lot here is almost guaranteed to cause paint/body damage to your car or truck! read more

This is the worst Walmart in the valley, and it is unfortunate being so close to our house. I'm not a big Walmart fan, but they could at least hire enough people to man registers on a holiday weekend. If you hate waiting in lines, DON'T come to this one. They usually have less than half of the open, and the ones that are open are run by people that are either in no hurry, or could probably find a line of work more suited to their mental skill set. On this day 05/05/2020 11am.My family and I had a horrible experience. After we had all of our items we went to register 1 to pay. There were 2 ladies in front and the cashier seemed to know them. They were laughing and talking and I placed my items on the mill thing and I kept my distance 6 feet away. The costumers kept staring at us and they told the cashier people just don't understand to keep there distance. And the cashier starting laughing and was like why would they. And I asked my mother in Spanish "are they talking about us " and that's when the cashier was like they don't speak English I don't even know why there here, they need to go back where they came from and started laughing. I turned and said we do speak English thank you very much and I am six feet apart for your information. And that's fucked up you shouldn't say that to someone. After we went to a different register and I told the manager about the situation. The manager spoke to her and she clearly didn't care. The cashiers name was linda. Long story short there shouldn't be a racist person working in a place where hundreds of people from different races,cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds come to. read more

WISH THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR.........HORRIBLE SERVICE, so I arrive at 6:45 AM to be first in line in there auto care department. The first associate ,(Richard) I see does not even greet me and goes to a computer and fiddles on it for about 5 mins. Finally acknowledging me I tell him I'm there to get my tires switched out for my winter tires. He says he doesn't have a tech, I said Fine, write me up so I'm sure I am first in line. He said he can't until a tech is there. Why ??? Does he have the Magic Pen, Did he bring the key to the garage home with him ??? So I go sit down in the waiting area and wait. About 10 mins go by and a tech arrives, Great, the magic pen is here. I head to the counter and wait and wait and wait. Finally a tech comes out, Art and says can I help you ??? Richard buts in a says he's getting his tires switched out. He say, Oh u can go out to your car now and Lisa will write u up. OH THANKS for the heads up Rock Star. I head out to my car and of course Lisa is writing up someone else I wait my turn and promptly tell her I was first. She said, No problem will take care of you. That was at 7:12 AM and it is currently 10:23 AM and I'm still here. The service Manager ( ERIK) has been here almost the whole time but has no clue that my tire change has taken over 3.5 HOURS.....NEVER AGAIN, everyone says it, Walmart TLE is about as useful as a Screen Door on a Submarine. They take 3 hours to make Minute Rice. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM ONE DIME OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY. read more

Another NO STAR review - After a long standing Wal-Mart boycott, I decide to slink back in a conscious attempt to pinch pennies. Even though I was already disgusted with the chain in general, this experience was a blatant reminder of why I despise these stores. I walked away after spending an hour in this store searching the least expensive staple products for my home, stocking up on dry goods, etc. At the checkout I was greeted by Surly Sue, who could barely breathe as she stooped to hand check (by gun) the items under my cart. She mumbled her disdain even though I offered to bring the items up to the belt for her. Midway through the checkout process Nosey Nancy strolls over from her checkout stand to double check if Surly Sue had indeed scanned all the items on the bottom of the cart. She begins to pretend to bag items while checking out how much money I was spending and basically overseeing Sue, even though she was the same level of employee. At this point they begin to talk with one another about my food items - they decide to include me in the convo, I mean, hey I am still standing there. They go on about mushrooms and how they love portabello mushrooms. Portabello mushrooms are good on a sandwich...who knew. Now, as I come to the end of my check out process, I notice yet another employee hovering behind me. This one is obviously management as she is not in uniform and carries a clipboard. She announces she must do an audit on Sue, who is not so surly anymore. Nosey Nancy wanders off. Her work here obviously done. As I pay, the manager takes over the register and I begin to push my cart away (note: with 2 employees standing in my check out area). I get home and realize I have no portabello mushrooms. After all that, somehow, I have forgotten a bag with my delicious mushrooms I was so thinking of making a sandwich out of (NOT). I call the store to be told I have to come back in and they will run the security tape to make sure I actually left a bag there, then they will return my goods. After arguing with Lazy Lucy about checking the counter (and possibly asking the 2 employees that were standing there as I walked away without my shit) to make sure I indeed left a bag. I was JUST there, she finally walks her lazy ass 8 steps out of the customer service area to the counter I was at and confirms for me, "yes, you left your stuff". I can come back at my leisure to pick it up. Needless to say, this gets better. I go back to the store and Lumpy Larry Lethargic "employee of the month" looks at my receipt and tells me, "These items have been reshelved, you'll have to go find them again and bring them back here". Now I am having a WTF! moment. Long story longer, I blow through the store picking up my items, get back to the register, where yet another (6th person of contact) tells me 1) I got the wrong honey, and 2) yeah it sucks that a manager stood by while I walked away from my 2 BAGS OF GROCERIES. Yes, people, once I returned I realized I left 2 friggin' bags of groceries - $40 worth of food at the counter and no one said a peep. At this point, I don't even want the honey for my Calm-Tea, I have a moment of clarity and realize why I despise this chain so much. How no sale in the world is worth my ever shopping there again, and as I walked out, realizing I forgot the batteries for my son's new toy which was one of the reasons I had gone there in the 1st place. I got in my car and drove (out of my way) to another store where I will be buying all my batteries from now on. Oh, and it's filthy. read more
