I recently shopped at this Walmart and purchased several clothing items along with four beauty products. After arriving home, I realized that although the beauty products were listed on my receipt and paid for, they were never placed in my bag at checkout. The store is approximately 30 minutes from my home, so I had to make a one-hour round trip the following day to retrieve items that I had already paid for. When I returned, customer service verified my receipt and instructed me to go back through the store and collect the items again before they could provide them to me. While I appreciate that the store ultimately gave me the merchandise I had purchased, I was disappointed by how the situation was handled. The mistake was not mine, yet I had to spend additional time, gas, and effort to correct it. I politely asked whether any form of customer-service compensation or goodwill gesture could be offered due to the inconvenience, but both customer service and management stated that there was nothing they could do. I also contacted corporate customer service and received the same response. Everyone I spoke with was professional, but I left feeling that my time and inconvenience were not valued. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but I believe there should be a better way to address situations where customers have to return to the store because of an error during checkout. I hope Walmart will consider improving its customer-service policies for situations like this in the future. read more

Horrible experience with their online delivery. Placed an order for almost $200 in grocery delivery and received the wrong order. Called their online customer service number the day it was delivered. I was told I could keep the wrong material, and a refund will be issued. I proceeded to reorder my groceries and had to pay expedited delivery fees and an additional tip to receive my groceries in time that day. After two weeks without a refund, I called back and was told they were submitting a request for a refund and to allow two weeks. After a month I still had not received a refund. I called and spoke to a supervisor with their customer service department named Farah. She told me my refund was denied because there were pictures of the delivery. In the picture they could clearly see this was not my order and belonged to the person whose order number I originally provided. When I asked to speak to someone else, she told me there was no one else who could help me. I waited a month for a refund that two different customer representatives told me I would receive and NOTHING. I ultimately needed to file a dispute with my bank. read more

The shelves were stocked appropriately. Associates were stocking the shelves rapidly. The entire store was neat and clean. I even experienced great customer service at the McDonald's inside. This review is entirely about the amount of workers they have at the registers. They suck! They're slow, there's always a long line. People Who come at night might be here for a few items on a late night run, why should they have to wait 20-30min behind someone(s) with a cart FULL and then the register needs change! And at Night they have ONLY 2 lanes open. Just open the damn self check out and have a person stand there to fix the issues that may arise, instead of the 20 or less lane open. But they have a bunch of people doing nothing in the aisles when their supposed to be stocking or w/e they're paid to do. read more

The Elkton Walmart is always dealing with low inventory numbers, never have anything in stock and clearly are not going through the process of getting it ordered so that it does get put back in stock again. I constantly go there for something that I need after going in there four days before for them to still not have the products. The sports section is always in disarray. Nobody has ever over there to help customers. And I don't see the point of having two different locations for self check out if you're not gonna have any of them open at any point in time unless it's a weekend day it seems lazy that you just won't watch two different sets of self check out registers. They have the money and they have the employees it's just blatant problem after problem at that location the employees talk to you like shit they have no respect and they seem to be more occupied on their phone than they do their actual job. As somebody who worked at Walmart , I find it ridiculous that they are getting paid $18 an hour to do absolutely jack shit. When you get paid hourly you bust your butt for your eight hours then you go home you don't get to play around during your shift. read more

I've got someone else's order; groceries that never show; and drivers that decide it's too late to come like at 8:02. I'd give them a zero but there is one manager who answered the phone. I went to Walmart beginning of February and saw that they already had gloves and hand sanitizers out for employees...and always have hand wipes for customers- they also had fully stocked Equate hand sanitizers in the front of the store for customers to purchase. Wish I bought more but was glad they responded earlier than most companies that are still trying to get supplies. I've also experienced great delivery unlike Target or Amazon which consistently have canceled or massively back ordered items. For someone who doesn't buy in bulk, I'm pleased with Walmart's approach during the pandemic and especially proud of their employees hard working endurance. Great job and thank you. This location is the WORST for pick up,curbside orders. Every single order I've ever made from the store has been delayed, or not on time. My recent order was placed for a pick up at 1, then of course I get an email stating my order is delayed. Waited all day, and finally get an email at about 630 that my order is ready. We came across this Super Walmart on our way to the Indian Acres campground on the Chesapeake so we stopped in to stock up on grub and other provisions. It was a clean and well-stocked store, and we were in and out pretty quickly - we didn't think the lines were any longer than any other Walmart we've been to. Definitely plan to stop in here again on our next weekend getaway to Indian Acres. read more

Love this Walmart! Recently moved to this area and it's been a life saver. This Walmart is open 24 hours and because it's a super center there's a few added departments. I've never had trouble finding anything and it's always very clean. Lastly, this Walmart always has enough check out lanes open so that you don't wait an additional hour! I respect most of the reviews here. I will have to disagree about the shelves always being stocked. I have been coming to this Walmart for a year now and have never seen the food department stocked in any way. They always have what I need so I'm not complaining. I mostly come for their milk. As of today's date, the milk costs $1.59 a gallon. So we stock up. Only down side is some milk has expired as it is overlooked because of how much milk they go through. Lines are horrible after 12a. This Walmart is better then that ghetto Walmart in New Castle, De. I hate going there. But haven't had any bad experiences with employees or customers like the ones you see on YouTube. read more

Was recently checking out and I gave the employee checking out a bag large enough to fit all of my cool stuff and he did start putting my cold items and frozen items in the bag but then he switched up and started putting my other stuff which I had also asked if there's a room to go ahead and put the non-cold stuff in on top of the groceries so I didn't have to go out of the store with 1 billion bags and so I double checked with him I said did you hear me that I wanted my other groceries put it on top of the cold stuff in the big bag he said yes he heard me and I said well I was just confused because you're still putting stuff in the Walmart bags so he proceeded to continue I should've only carried one bag out of that store after all said and done he put a few things from one of the Walmart bags in my bag and then the bag was pretty heavy and I was in a scooter and also had shoulder surgery which he didn't know but I asked him to help me with that large bag put it into my cart and all he did was reach out reach the bag out to me for me to grab and put in the cart I was so disgusted I left the store when I got to the entrance of the store outside a lady came who was behind me and said Miss you had 2 more bags And she handed them to me it was so nice of her to help me in that way otherwise I would've had to go back to the store and God only knows if they'd be able to locate my items. I know people are having trouble finding workers but they really need to watch these workers after they hired and see how they treat customers and then get rid of them read more

This Walmart location is horrible. I have been shopping here for years and have never seen it as bad as it is now. They are never in stock on anything I need. With a store as big and staffed as this place, I should be able to find exactly what I need. The frozen food section is awful. Has been this way for a couple years now. You could lay on some of the shelves. The staff is very unfriendly. You walk by and they won't even look at you let alone say hello. Hopefully you plan on ringing up your own items. They usually only have one regular register open with an actual cashier. The line even at 8 am is usually 6 or 7 people deep. I have actually stopped shopping here. I run an automated assembly machine for my day job, so, I am fairly computer literate. Every time I use Walmart's Satan Spawn auto checkout, the thing locks up and needs resetting multiple times. The employees are very helpful and do thier best, but, they are always short staffed. This is a typical Walmart store. The shelves are half empty and all the employees are walking around not doing any work and nobody cares. The customers here are extra trailer style so lock you car doors and watch out for them in the store. But go here if you need China junk and are away from home if for some reason you can't go to any other Walmart with the same empty shelves and same China junk. Which reminds me. After I finish with this review I was at another local Walmart in Oxford PA and had the same experience and could just copy and paste this review but they will be getting their own special custom review. This has got to be still the worse Walmart. Their deli department is disorganized. The line is always long and and no one knows who was there before the other. The deli department is always under staffed. There is no team work at all. I witnessed a young man who was wearing dark color glasses wait on 2 customers at the hot counter and as soon as he was done, he disappeared instead of help the older woman who was slicing deli meat and cheese for customers. He appeared to be packaging deli meat into plastic bags and putting them in to the color where customers could purchase. Just before the older woman asked him for help, he was chatting with another employee and paying no attention to the long line forming. I heard the woman waiting on customers ask repeatedly for help and Thomas responded "I have something else to do". Then he gave her a real dirty look because she apparently called him James and he said twice "Don't you ever call me James." Don't customers come first? Where's the manager? I've never seen a deli manager and when I asked where he or she was, they always say the same thing..."I haven't seen the deli manager in days". I didn't know the woman's name who waited on me today 8/29/19 because she was not wearing a name badge but she was nice and was trying to wait on people quickly. The only other deli employee who's name I know who wasn't working that day is Rose who is always friendly. I've never gotten so much as a smile from any of the register operators. They mostly act as though I'm an inconvenience to them. And the CSM's could care less. This store is a joke...always has been and always will be until they start training better. If you live in Cecil Co., the Walmart in North East Maryland is by far better. read more
