The CVS in Elkton is the absolute Worst. Some of the folks who work there simply do not care. I went to pick up my prescriptions and walked up to the counter at 1:31pm. There was only 1 person ahead of me and NO other persons in the store. The white guy at the counter told me that he couldn't wait on me because it was there LUNCH time. NO ONE else was in the store. He then proceeded to lower the security gate while I heard him and others laughing in the background. I think they forgot why they are working in a PHARMACY to begin with. Worst experience with the Indian pharmacist at this store! The pharmacist does not speak clear enough English that you can understand. I had to ask him to repeat multiple times questions that he was asking me. Finally he stated, "I am saying it the only way I can!". He proceeded to call the Union Hospital for verification of medication and didn't appear to know anything about the hospital. He was asking me more questions that I did not understand. When he called the hospital, they were having a very difficult time also understanding him and they kept asking him to repeat answers. The hospital was on speaker so I could hear everything that was spoken. The pharmacist gave the hospital the patient's wrong name and when I said out loud the correct name, the pharmacist yelled at me that he was the professional and he was talking to professionals and I was to be quite or he would not fill my prescription. Left the store and went to another pharmacy where they all spoke clear English and they didn't have to call the hospital for clarity. The male Indian pharmacist at CVS was one of the most rudest people who has terrible communication skills for working in the health care profession with people who already have health issues. CVS, if you want people to go to your stores, you need to get people with good communication skills! Even the other coworkers who did speak English in the store wouldn't help with this situation. They didn't want to deal with him either. I will never go there again and will encourage as many others as I can not to support this store. read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever. I am currently on hold and have been on hold for over an hour. Just trying to find out when a prescription will be refilled. It was called in at 7:15 this morning and still not done. This is not the first time. Two weeks ago I was on hold for 45 minutes and the pharmacist answered the phone and did not want to address my issue. Said they would do it when I got there. I was trying to avoid going back in forth between lines. His excuse is that they are short staffed. This every time you go there or call. If I could switch pharmacies I would. But can only go there or Walmart with secondary insurance. Both are horrible read more

Been here twice, both unsatisfactory. There is always a line for prescriptions, they close for lunch, and some guy in prescriptions, he might be a pharmacist, copes a passive aggressive attitude if you question him in any way. Will go to pains not to go to this branch any more. read more

Worst experience with the pharmacy and staff. Emergency room sent electronic prescription over which was verified and I was told prescription would be ready at 9:40am. I called to give my insurance information over the phone to save some time since I was not feeling well so I left a message. A Staff member called me back and stated I should call back and leave that information on the voice mail, which I did. I assumed everything was good (my fault to assume) In the interim of the 2 phone calls between CVS and myself I showed up to pick up my prescription at 11:30am believing everything was on track but I was wrong. Once in line to pick up my prescription I was greeted by a pharmacy tech who proceeded to tell me that they do not have the prescribed medication in stock. I asked the satff member why I wasn't told this over the phone when giving all my insurance information earlier it was then told to me that the staff does not call the consumer and contact between the pharmacy staff and consumer is only done via text messages. (WOW) I proceed to show the staff member the voicemail that was left by one of the current staff members from CVS and that's when that pharmacy tech started to fumble since the information he/she was providing me was wrong. I proceeded to ask for a copy of the script and I was told I could not have it since it was an electronic script. No other assistance etc. was offered Bottom line I just wanted a copy of the information so I could provide it to my primary doctor in order for he/she to call a new script in to another pharmacy. Long story short this CVS was not helpful at all. CVS's customer service was defiantly one of the worst experiences I have encounter at a pharmacy. wish i can give no stars on this visit...I go here because it is close to my home - Needed to fill a prescription - the store did not have the medicine - they ran out and would not have more for a few days - that is understandable - what is NOT understandable is they did not contact the patient (via phone/text) to let them know about the unavailability. I go there and find out - I ask them if they can look in their system or contact another CVS and see if they had the medicine - they said they could not and I would have to call around...called the CVS in Nottingham - they were able to look at the prescription and fill it...when I get there - I asked them can each CVS look up availability of medicine at other CVS's they said "yes" - but they would also call the other CVS to confirm...such POOR customer service in Elkton but GREAT customer service in Nottingham !!! read more
