This place was always the worst local Walmart but these new renovations they're doing are making a bad location even worse. They turned half the parking lot into Pickup area only parking and EV charging stations which are hardly ever filled. They've closed the garden entrance pushing even more crowds to the already crowded front end. Dirty dusty shelves have been pushed around everywhere with items halfway down the aisles where they should be, usually damaged. It's downright dangerous some of the things that are laying around that they have clearance tags on, broken glass light bulbs and mirrors shattered near what used to be the Auto center. Everyone knows Walmart attracts some real interesting characters but I've never felt unsafe shopping here until recently. This place has turned into some sort of hunting ground for sketchy unsavory types coming from the airport. Groups 6-10 people deep that never shop or browse (or even pretend to) will loiter around blocking aisles and pretend not to understand you if you say excuse me. They circle around the same aisle when someone is alone in one and start following and openly gesture at strangers' purses and to each other. Between them and the families also 6-10 people deep that scream and holler at each other while their kids run rampant around the store, it's not surprising the People of Walmart site exists. If Walmart is trying to get rid of brick and mortar locations for Pickup only, this is the location they should close first. read more

This store allowed Brandon to bully and harass my black daughter with health disabilities nightly and I will definitely contact corporate and an attorney and I am so livid the store Manager did absolutely nothing to correct it and after she was forced to resign as she asked for part time due to health reasons after being there over a year. Brandon gave the paper back after taking a picture and with an attitude said we don't do files what a dummy. Then today she goes as sees he gave her 3 points after she resigned. This is total harassment and she has been instructed to contact Ethics. I fault management for not doing anything and allowing her to be forced to resign. She could have been immediately removed from the schedule and allowed to wait until she start her part time position which she had spoke to the part time person. The store manager Kristen could have done better. Someone needs to fix this asap or we will move forward to make sure this happens to no one else. She was there to long to have to let go of her job and I will be contacting the ADA and this is total discrimination as well in many ways. Brandon is the one that should not be allowed to work at this store. Without discussing my daughters health she needed to change for that reason and he violated that. The Walmart is close to home but i seldom come here shopping. One of the reason is the safety concern, seems there always has gun shot at Walmart, i don't know why it's Walmart not Kroger or whole food. I came here today just try to pick up some water chestnuts and bamboo shoots as Google says Walmart has it. I came in went through isle by isle, and can't find it. Asked the Walmart staff, the guy seems has no idea, eventually, one other customer overheard my question and able to direct me, say it's in the Asian section and ask the Walmart staff to point me where is the Asian section here, the staff again is dumb say he has no idea where it is! Go anywhere else. This place is awful. They have 24 parking spots for pick up orders but if you park in one plan on spending the night. I have been parked in a spot and checked in for an hour and 20 minutes now, and still counting, with no order. Also no one is answering any of their phone numbers so it is impossible to talk to anyone. I will never do this again. Security girl (couldn't tell) stopped my son and I to loudly express we were thieves. She (I think) used the barcode on one of the many items I was buying and was quite rude to tell me I was stealing when the barcode was ringing in incorrectly. Tried to call HR about her, and they don't answer. The kind guy at self checkout came up and helped me and noticed she was being rude. She walked away and I began to cry because I've never stolen anything. Come to find it was a barcode issue and the issue kept happening. When people say, "If I could give this place less than one star, I would" usually makes me roll my eyes because it's become cliche... but this is one of those cases when I would give it less than one star if I could. Placed an order for pick up for noon and got an alert that it wouldn't be ready in time- which was really okay. We'd had a lot of snow and I'm sure they were slammed. It was no big deal. Then I got an alert at 1 it was ready, so I headed over. I put that I was there at the parking spot for pick up, and sat there for 45 minutes. Other cars were around me waiting, too, and there seemed to be only one guy doing everything. I waited another 15, then rolled my window down when he walked by to ask if he had an idea on how much longer, and the kid literally cussed me out. At first I thought it was some weird joke, but the kid was... maybe high or something? The kid was literally cussing me out for being SLIGHTLY annoyed I had sat there for an hour without being acknowledged. So I pulled away and went in, I went to talk to someone inside and they told me they were just going to cancel my order. Instead of giving it to me even inside. I have no idea what the heck is going on at that place, but now I gotta get my groceries somewhere else and wasted almost two hours of my day, without even so much as "sorry for the inconvenience." Then LAST WEEK I ordered a pair of AirPods and a Roku stick for pick up with my groceries, and the girl that brought them out told me, "It's so weird, we pick the items then when we go to put them in the car, they're just gone. So when you go home and you don't see items you'll have to call Walmart." I was like, okaaaay. I thought maybe it was just my butter or something, cause I would think they would tell me, hey, the entire bag of electronic items you ordered is gone. So I got home and realized it was my AirPods and Roku stick that was missing! So I got back in the car and headed over to Walmart AGAIN. I had to wait in the longest line for customer service, and the woman went to the back room to see if she could find the bag, and lo and behold it was back there! Which was great! Fine, I got my stuff, despite the fact it messed up half my day- but they don't even apologize. They don't offer you any compensation for your time or your stress from the situation. I was at this Walmart looking for Christmas tree to replace my old one. I'm looking for a good bargain that's why I purposely shop after the holidays. At this time the Christmas trees and mist of the holiday items where marked 75% off. I get it that it's disorganized and it's hard to find stuff on the shelves. However, WM seemed to be working diligently by putting back misplaced items by costumers. Off the bat I'll say the parking lot is CLEAN. I don't typically see this with Walmart. It's a little more confusing inside than other Walmarts. Housewares is little more of everywhere than I'm used to. I was running to different areas looking for something that I'm used to being able to find pretty quickly. It was also a little disorganized but the grocery area was much easier. It was a little messy but definitely not the worst I've seen. The associates are friendly and the self checkout is efficient and quick. Overall, not a bad location. Hopefully they'll be able to restock more often. Not sure if that's a covid thing but they're definitely not the only ones having issues on filling shelves. Luggage for example, I need new luggage and haven't been able to find it for AWHILE. read more

Wish I could give this place no stars. I was sitting in the parking lot for TWO HOURS waiting for my order. I had already been on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get ahold of someone. No one ever answered. They finally brought my order out. I asked for a manager the lady brought out a female and a male who did not have name tags on. Me and the other customers expressed how we felt and how long we had been waiting. We all were frustrated. They were bringing orders out to people who had not even been waiting as long as we did. So the orders were not going out in the order people arrive in. The taller male started yelling at everyone saying "call 1800 Walmart and get your order refunded because I don't care" and walked inside. The other lady was getting upset with us because we were frustrated. She started yelling and telling us "take your fucking money somewhere else". She took my groceries away and took them back into the store. I told her that they don't belong to Walmart anymore because my card had been charge so to bring them back and she refused. Finally a store leader came out and expressed how sorry he was and that the employees would be dealt with. This is ridiculous. Sarah Team Lead at customer service at the Florence store was the most rude, non helpful person I have ever had the misery of speaking with. She was not only rude, she was hateful and just walked away from me. I was upset because I had tried to return an item 4 different days (with proper receipt) but I was calm and not demanding but even more frusterated when she flippantly said there is nothing they can do, call 1800 WALMART and walked away. The entire time I waited I observed carts everywhere full of merchandise, piles on the floor as I observed Sarah sashaying around not appearing to be helping anyone. I asked for a store manager and twice she appeared to have called for one, but later found out there wasn't one in that day, which I feel certain a proper team lead would have known. A senior employee told me to ask for a coach, which I did and waited for a long time and no one ever came. I believe they were trying to outwait me and hope I would leave. Which of course, I finally had to do. I have been a faithful Walmart customer for years, but I am going to be taking all my business to Kroger where they have much nicer employees. read more

It's Walmart like every other one across the US. Pretty decent selection of everything. Employees all seem like they are miserable but they are pleasant and friendly to shoppers. Has a nice Subway inside and the store is not busy when I have gone. The reason for three stars is because they only have shopping carts and not blue baskets. Walmart is... you know... it's a special place. It had probably been 5 years since I had been in a Walmart, but my boyfriend were out and about in need of some groceries and made the decision to pop into Walmart instead of our regular grocer. The variety here is much smaller than going to Kroger, there were many brands that I couldn't find here that I typically purchase. There were some good deals, but to compensate for that you have to be temporarily transported to the post-apocalyptic dystopian universe that is Walmart. The staff were friendly though and there were lots of self-checkout lanes which I appreciated. The people-watching is 10/10, a highlight was a swarm of children using boxes they found in Walmart as pretend shoes (honestly, it looked like they were having a blast, I wasn't mad). When I broke into my Walmart brand seltzer waters later I was surprised to find out that they sweeten them with aspartame... Imagine going in for la croix and walking out with the diet mt. dew version of La Croix... I kind of hate how delicious it is. I hate giving money to rich people and do my best to keep my money from the giants (Walmart/Amazon), but I caved and I can understand why people come... The amounts they credit back dont even match up and is no where near the credit back I should have gotten. When you call them no one seems to know how to handle the situation. OMG OMG!!! This Walmart is horrible!! Poorly managed and poorly run. Unbelievable! The day before Easter and there are only 3 registers opened and self checkout backed up to the produce dept. Hundreds of stock piled up in the main isles and stockers everywhere. Bad enough dodging all the unsupervised brats dodging in and out of isles while parents did their shopping and oblivious to what havoc their offspring is causing. I really really have come to hate Walmart thanks to this location. There are never enough cashiers and friendly ones too. The self checkout had this rude little woman who had an attitude that she could care less. She wouldn't even stock the bags so a couple of the registers couldn't be used. This was by far the worst experience at any Walmart ever. This one sucks for sure and I will not go back. If I can't find it at Meijer or Kroger then I will order from Amazon. read more

Do not order puck up or delivery they never come or they give you 2 items and blame you. Tried 4 times and NEVER. Got an order right. Delivery? Oh it will be delayed then forgotten then cancelled with no notice. Pick up most regular pick up customers bring a book or food you will sit there for at least 40 minutes past your scheduled time. This morning a Women Trucker resting in a empty parking lot that was at a closed Walmart in Florence,KY.Woke up to a tow truck hook on to the truck and the tow company demand either pay $400.00 or it will be towed with her in it for $600.00.Right now at this moment we have a crises and count on truckers to put food on our table and get needless supplies to locations that need it the most. I bought an online item from Walmart which turned out to be a SCAM! I bought an $850 chair on February 15, 2022. Today, I was so excited to open my order to find a $5 cup in the mailbox! The tracking information even says "delivered at or in mailbox". How does a chair fit in a mailbox? Walmart in Alexandria, Kentucky could do nothing to resolve my issue. The manager was just doing his job based on Walmart policies and referred me to corporate. He said they couldn't do a return even though the website said "returnable in store? YES" because it wasn't the item, "chair" that I was returning. I was returning a cup. A cup is what I received from Walmart.com. If I got the chair, I wouldn't be returning it! Walmart Corporate contacted the seller and will not initiate my refund. They want the seller to resolve the issue. I will not purchase from Walmart.com or Walmart again. The customer service is absolutely awful and absurd! My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years. I bought this chair for our future nursery to remind me one day it would happen only to receive a cup crushing my dreams of being a mom with a deficit of $850, because Walmart refuses to do anything about it. read more

After receiving what I thought was the wrong prescription, I went in to try and fix it! I realized that I was wrong, my prescription was the same, but something still didn't seem right. Jamie, the receptionist, was SO nice to me!! She put me on the schedule for an eye exam just to insure that everything with my eyes were fine. Sure enough, I have a slight astigmatism in my right eye. I didn't have to pay a single dime and Jamie told me to come back to her anytime I needed anything. She is amazing. I bought a dorm-sized fridge for my office. (Insert all references to drinking on the job here.) I bought one of the ones slightly larger than the cubes we've all seen. I had it wedged in my cart and got it to my car. In and out pretty quick. Now, it wasn't the weight of it, but it was the size that caused me to need help getting it into my car. I may not be Atlas, but the box was just bulky. The Dude saw me headed across the lot. I got to my car and opened it up. Shuffled around a few things to make it fit. But, the "other Evil Empire", Baby's R Us/Toys R Us had the car seat I wanted to buy (and needed to buy because our clasp broke and she's outgrown it) for $40.00 higher, without free shipping and would not price match because they didn't carry the item "in store", so I went with THIS Evil Empire instead. Kiddo's are costly, ya know? Anyhoo, ordered it online to be delivered to the store and awaited my "notification" via email or text....none ever came. When I checked the website, I noted that my item had been delivered to the Florence location 4 days ago (?). When I called this location, I was told that just because it's delivered to the store, doesn't mean that it's ready for pickup. When I questioned why it would take someone 4 days time to get something off a Fed Ex truck and into their system, he couldn't answer me, but got really defensive and acted like I was bugging him.
