This store is massive! They have everything under the sun you could possibly imagine. It's beautiful, clean and a joy to shop at!

We're from Texas and we don't have this store in Texas, but it sure beats WalMart hands-down!

Gemar working in customer service ( I use that term loosely) was the most rude unhelpful employee I have ever encountered. She wasn't just rude to me, there were 4 other people waiting to be helped and she was rude to everyone. She went off to find a manager (no one else to find a manager?) and was gone for a very long time. I stop into Meijer when I'm staying nearby for business. I like that they are family owned since the 1930's or so. Essentially a big box store that has pretty much everything it's a great option. I've always found it clean, well lit and the employees friendly. I'll continue to visit when nearby. read more

Literally majority of the fish were dead when I went it was actually sad. Bettas sitting in a bowl rotting waiting to be tossed. Fish eating the dead bodies of fish I was mortified. read more

The top notch chain grocery and clothing items. I missed this from being in Michigan. I would hope you eventually would open stores here in Saint Petersburg Florida as we have lots of people that have moved here from Michigan thank you so much again. read more

Meijer uses the same hypermarket format that's common with most most grocery stores now. You will, of course, get the national brands that you can get at most grocery chains, generally a few cents cheaper than Kroger and especially WalMart. What makes Meijer stand out is its Fredericks store brands. Unlike WalMart which uses its Best Value brand as the low price, knock off brand. Meijers takes the opposite approach. The Frederick's store brand is its premium brand. Examples include Frederick's coffee, deli meats, spaghetti sauce and ice cream. (The ice cream is especially good.) These items go on sale frequently enough for me to stock up. You won't get live lobsters or exotic Asian foods, but we have Jungle Jim's in Eastgate when you really want something exotic like caviar, fresh red snapper or a $500 bottle of wine. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars. I've never been to a Meijer before and this place blew my mind! I heard from one of the employees that this location has been recently renovated. Everything looks clean and brand new. The aisles are absolutely packed full of product. They have a broader selection of items than what you'd find in a typical Walmart. Take a look at my pictures and see how big some of the product sections are. You won't find this at a Walmart or Target. Plus those other chains are part of the Eyes Wide Shut crowd if you know what I mean. I hope Meijer is not one of them too. Wikipedia has an interesting summary of this chain. Apparently they are the pioneers of the supercenter and Walmart and Target copied them. They're primarily located in the Midwest. I think it would be great if they continued expanding further West. We need more shopping options and competition in the supercenter space. Why should we have to only spend our dollars at one of the Eyes Wide Shut monopoly chains? read more

Our first time at a Meijer and we weren't too sure what to expect. We weren't sure if it was a grocery store or like a Target/Walmart or what. We had stopped by while staying at a hotel nearby. My husband wanted to get some Evian water (he loves that stuff, I don't) but the Walmart nearby was sold out. So we drove and saw this Meijer. Got a parking space not too far from the front entrance. Walked in and was greeted by an employee at the entrance. Got the Evian water so my husband was happy. We walked around and were surprised at how huge this place is. It's like a grocery store and a Walmart and a little Best Buy (for electronics) all in one. My husband said it was like a Super Target. It was very neat and clean inside. We wondered if they might have some masks in stock since everywhere around us in California is sold out so maybe Kentucky might have some? We looked in the paint section and found a few masks there. Wasn't sure if they had other varieties so I asked an employee in the cosmetics section and she looked really shocked to see the masks I had in my hands. She said, "Where'd you get those???" I said that we got them in the paint section. She said to consider myself really lucky to have found those. I guess they're selling out in Kentucky too because of fears of the coronavirus. (I was only getting them for my 70 year old mom who gets nervous about these things, which is understandable for her age). Nice location and impressive store. I wish we had Meijer in Florida. It's better than walmart by so many degrees. The craft section, the Plus Clothing selection, the beauty selection.. It's all pretty amazing. I've only shopped here when I visit Kentucky and I find that their prices are pretty decent and their quality is good as well. So meijer has some absolutely lovely clothes and great deals , however there is no changing room to try on clothes , so than you either have to buy it hope it fits right or just admire , talked to a worker asked why the changing rooms we'd removed and he said it was a corporate decision, seems the wrong decision.. read more

This Meijer location is okay. I decided to run in and pick up a few things while I was in the area. Unfortunately, not all the items I was looking for were in stock. I left without having purchased 1/3 of the items I had intended to. They seem to carry a lot of different brands, with a limited selection of most of them. Customer service is fairly non existent at this location. Several employees were stocking. Only one said "hi," or greeted me in anyway. I used self checkout. I was the only one checking out, and the employee at the computer that monitors all the self checkout registers did not greet me either. (I was at the register closest to her.) This location is good for running in, and grabbing staple items. As I have found at all the Meijer locations I have visited, there is ample parking. read more

I like Meier, as sometime they has stuff that Kroger doesn't carry, like the beef shank. But I'm not sure why it has bone in it. This Meijer is a Meijer but cleaner than you'd expect. Louisville's Meijer stores are never this clean. I was impressed with that. The customer service was subpar until I got to the register and some young human named Emma was super. She was friendly and efficient. I stopped there (this time) because I needed something for my car (always late at night) but I stop here more than I'd like to admit because this is the part of the road trip I've realized I left something at home. They always have what I need. This is, again, a Meijer. They'll have the groceries and general merchandise you need to live life. The produce is always good, the meat department is excellent, and they have a good selection of local and national brands for food that I'd like. I can always find the Kosher food I want, when I want Kosher food. That's a plus. Well, the bathroom was gross but you don't go to Meijer for the toilets. Well, you might, I don't. read more

I like the selection of cookware and dinnerware at this store. I actually bought my knife set and dinnerware from this store. They have some attractive / modern designs. They also have a wide variety of bar-ware. Their men's clothing is reasonably priced, and you can usually wait for a sale. I don't shop here for dress clothes, but they have what I need for casual and gym clothes. Their shoe selection is OK. If you are picky about your shoes it probably isn't for you, but they do stock larger men's shoe sizes. I have also had very good results with their photo lab with everything from prints to 8x10's, poster, and photo gifts (mouse pad). They have earned my business in that department. They have a reasonable selection of ethnic foods available and a reasonable variety of spices. I do wish the produce section was larger, especially the vegetable section. I would recommend this for most of your shopping needs. If you are cooking a fancy dinner, then you may need to go elsewhere for some items, but this is a good place to start. read more

I like Meijer and this is one of the stores that doubles coupons up to dollar (some only double up to fifty cents). They have everything I need, but I wouldn't recommend if you want a wide vairety of fresh meats and seafood. They have them, and they're good, just not a good variety. They also don't give a bag credit, like other Meijer stores which offer a five cent bag credit if you bring in your reusable bag. I prefer Meijer over the other local grocery stores, so I'll be back. read more

Old organic selection and 1/3 the size of mall road Kroger. Better grassfed beef and eggs than Kroger. Has A2 milk Kroger doesn't. Want ham then go to WFs. Self serve checkout understaffed and is programmed to catch thieves thus stops you at least once per checkout. Staff is often stressed out. Better yogurt and butter selection than Kroger and lower prices. The greeter is not needed and looks unhappy. Used to have coconut and avocado oil chips. Neither have this area complete for foodies or health nuts. No organic beans. read more

This Meijer has its strengths and weaknesses... Strengths: They display a large selection of products in all departments, shelves usually stocked, and it is not usually crowded. Their non-sale prices are usually better than Kroger or Remke. They are pretty good about marking down meat and dairy items to clearance prices when they get close to sell-by dates. Online coupons and Mperk rewards are easy use and sometimes pair with products that are on sale. The store itself is usually clean and there are plenty of shopping carts available at the entrances. Weaknesses: The produce that is advertised on sale is usually very fresh, but the non-sale items are often wilted, shriveled, and occasionally rotten. Although I see groups of managers/employees standing around and talking to each other (department meetings maybe?) from time to time, employees are almost impossible to find when I have questions. Even when I do manage to locate employees, they usually don't go "the extra mile" to check availability of extra stock in the back or to find answers to questions. Most of the checkouts are not kept stocked with paper bags, only plastic. Most of the open checkouts are self-scan types, but they don't have enough employees to adequately and promptly help all of the customers needing help. The restrooms are not kept in good repair, nor are they kept very clean. read more

Worst customer service ever. Worst deli ever. Even though I was the only person in line, and had been waiting in line for over 5 minutes, when it was my turn and I had been waited on, a man walked up and claimed that it was his turn, when clearly I was the only one waiting the whole time. They stopped working on my order and started waiting on him. Management response was. "The deli shouldn't have behaved like that. Sorry." I left my basket and walked out. I like this grocery store, they have the best sweetest oranges' with a little knob at the end of the oranges. Fresh fruits. I alway like to buy my pooch the Benifold dog food and rawhides. There pharmacy service is outstanding and prescription is the cheapest. It's even cheaper the Walgreens. They also give a lot of coupons. This is one of my favorite grocery store. read more

When our "grocery" list grows to contain several items that aren't really groceries, we tend to head to Meijer. They've really expanded their international food section and we can now find some items there that we used to have to drive to Jungle Jim's for. But, they frequently just quit carrying something or rearrange things so you're searching for something that been in the same place for years. In the land of Kroger, it's nice to have an alternative, but I'd rather have a Publix. read more

This is definitely a huge Meijer! With a pretty decent sized bakery area as well! The parking lot seems to be a main hub, as you can't get to anything else surrounding it without going through the parking lot, so be careful. But other than that, you really can't go wrong with the selections here. you could kill hours in here, its seriously that big! The Meijers in Florence, has the nicest emplyees. They all seem kind amd considerate and just genuinely nice people. I highly recommend the store to everyone. I just used Meijer Curbside Pickup for the 1st time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!! I am high risk for current Covid19 virus I placed an order on 4/16. On 4/17 I was in constant contact with picker by text. Told it was ready but she had to leave and a store employee would have to help when I arrived. I went immediately. Upon arrival no # to call posted anywhere. Called store, selected Curbside Pickup and could not reach anyone! Was never given an order number but on phone given choice to select #1 if I had an order #.So I did. Still no one pick up. Flagged down worker, they knew nothing but offered to check only to return and say that they weren't handling the orders & pickup. Asked for manager and he suddenly appeared with my order of 2 items. All this hassle and was charged $4.95 for pickup. Have tried to contact corporate, same result, no answer. A month into this mess, charging people for pickup & provided worst experience ever! Target & Krogers have it down pat! They even ask for vehicle description & that you use location services. Upon arrival they are waiting with you order. With Target literally at door waiting. WILL NOT USE MEIJERS EVER AGAIN! Will probably never even be going back there again!!! BEWARE!! Save your money, go somewhere else! If I could give 0 stars I would!! read more

Great selection and sales. You can catch really great clearance deals on a variety of items all throughout the year. Our household just caught a clearance sale (additional 40% off itens alreasy 70% off)!! We got 16 pairs of men's, women's, and children's shoes for about $200. You can't beat that! I recently went to do a little light shopping. Here's the thing, for groceries and shopping overall one can get it done anywhere. My reason for writing this is for their service. I could not find an item and I asked for help. The girl who I asked tried to help. But an employee who was on his day off and was in line took action. He got out line to help me find what I needed. I know with this economy we all go for the bargain shopping and because of this we accept poor service sometimes. Terrible experience, I will not be going back. I work second shift and wanted to try on clothes when I got off at 11pm. The dressing room was closed even though the store is open 24 hours? The other time I came in it was 11:53 on a Wednesday and I wanted to buy a bottle of wine for my boyfriends birthday. I like Meijer. It's the perfect grocery store for a man. Nice wide aisles and I'm never elbow to elbow with other shoppers. I love the meats! It's like a super center Walmart, without all the 'people of Walmart'. Oh and I have to mention that I searched countless stores in the area this past winter for a teapot and Meijer was the only store to carry a teapot (not a tea kettle, kids). First, I'll admit that I'm a late-night shopper and I like it that way. Most stores have about 12 people in the entire store at midnight and I can finish quickly. Meijer has a good selection and decent prices. They lose a star though because literally every time I go in, I get stuck on one side of the aisle because of stock being staged between displays. Also be aware that they do not have cashiers on shift late at night and you'll have to check and bag everything yourself. read more
