As if it couldn't get worse here--it did. - You are not allowed to put facial cleanser in your cart. You have to pay for it where you found it, as if it were some type of electronic purchase. This is soap, people. Soap. (I will be buying this elsewhere due to this policy). - They no longer carry veggie burgers, etc. Vegetarians are not welcome here! (They do still carry them at the other Walmart). - They stopped carrying many products, including their own Great Value brand, that are still available at the other Walmart. Disgusted with Walmart's Deplorable Customer Service and Walmart period! I'm absolutely disgusted with Walmart, not just as a store, but as a corporation. After being a loyal customer for years, I am beyond disappointed by the blatant disrespect and dishonesty I've experienced. The fact that I've had to record and screenshot every single interaction just to prove what happened shows how broken their system is. This all started last week when I placed an online pickup order. My son went to get it and, after waiting 15-20 minutes, he called me to ask if this was normal. While he was waiting, I watched my order status on the app, which suddenly changed to "PICKED UP" even though he had just arrived to the pick up location and hadn't yet received my items. An employee finally told him the order was at another location. This is where the nightmare began. I called customer service and explained the situation. The representative told me not to worry and that I could pick up the order later. But the app continued to say the order was "picked up," and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go wrong at this point. I started using the chat feature, taking screenshots of everything. Each time, I was assured that the two remaining items I never received would be refunded. But every single time, I got an email shortly after, stating, "unfortunately we are unable to refund you for your items." This is despicable. I spoke with what I now believe are AI bots, and what I had assumed to be human representatives--all of them giving me the same empty promise. However they were very repetitive and mechanical speaking and at the end they had the same weird statement that no human is going to say ... well .. I'd have to post screenshots for a complete understanding on that subject.. that's an entirely different topic. This corporation, which makes a sickening amount of money, thinks it can just refuse to refund my hard-earned money for items I never received. They must assume I'll just give up, but I will not. It's a coincidence that the two items they are refusing to refund me or even actually GIVE TO ME.. are the most expensive. Walmart can ABSOLUTELY review their cameras also and see my items were NEVER picked up by me or my son. (Now who they handed my stuff to.. who knows.. that's entirely on the fault of the employees who didn't check to see if they were handing off the correct items to the correct person). This isn't just a mistake; it feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of me. I work in healthcare, and the lack of compassion I see in the world is sickening, but it's large companies like Walmart that contribute to it. They treat the very people who keep their company afloat with this kind of contempt. I have spent countless dollars with Walmart over the years and have let small losses go. I'm done. I'm done being lied to and disrespected. I want my money back, OR the 2 items that I paid for.. and I will not stop until I get it. Walmart's greed has consumed them, and it's pathetic. Walmart is almost impossible to avoid. They have everything and at very reasonable prices. Having said that, their website is an absolute nightmare. I usually check to see if items are in stock before driving out. After verifying, I drive to the store only to find that the item is not on the shelf, completely wasting my time. Thinking maybe it was in the store but not on the shelf, I decided to use the drive by pickup method. I'd order an item online then wait in the parking lot for someone to bring it to my vehicle. Nine times out of ten Walmart had replaced the item I ordered with what they deemed a suitable substitute. I once ordered Atkins protein bars and received Massengill Disposable Douche (Close, right?). The problem is that they can't seem to track their inventory accurately. I guess when you're as big as Walmart this is a bear but what makes it even more frustrating is their insistence in substituting your items. Guys, if you don't have it in stock, just say "not in stock" and let me make the decision on possible substitutes (like Massengill Disposable Douche). A Walmart employee harassed me as I was bagging my purchases. She stated that I was putting only one item in per bag and that there was a bag shortage. I responded that their bags are flimsy and cannot always support multiple items. She told me to be responsible. I told her to stop harassing me. I even said God bless her, but she continued her tirade. I then unbagged several of my items and put the empty bags on the checkout counter and left. read more

Presidents' Day February 17. I was in your store. I was off today and my family and I were out at a restaurant that we heard about any area of Frederick. I decided while we were out to take care of a Christmas return that I had in the car With the intentions of returning when I had time off so we decided to come to your store after lunch. I walked straight in the store with the bag went to Customer Service . I stated I did not have the receipt, but I still had the tags on the items they were gifts for my children from Christmas. They were the wrong size. , I would like to try to get the correct size, but if not, I'll take Credit and she can pick something else out for herself. The cashier items in the scanner and said these items are no longer available. You don't have a receipt so there is nothing we can honor or give you. I felt like I was being profiled as someone who perhaps was doing something dishonest and trying to take advantage and get a refund or free items. When I use Walmart monthly to do my grocery shopping and I spent cash money. I asked for her supervisor a woman by the name Rhonda arrived, Rhonda asked me that I have my credit card that I use and yes, we tried several different credit cards. I didn't got my bank statement out. I showed the dates that I was at Walmart and I made those purchases during the holiday in the month of December would not pull the receipt , she found receipts but she stated she couldn't see that item on there. They only wanted to give me a five dollar credit for a $18 pair of pants and a $14 bra. They offered me a gift card of seven dollars for the bra because it was clearance and wanted to give me five dollars for the pants and I could not accept that. So I asked for management , a gentleman by the name of TIM store coach arrived. He stood there while for 45 minutes they were trying to locate the receipt. He then walked away, and I was told that you may find the item we show it may be still on the floor, but I'm not sure it'll be your size you can try that option so we went to look for the pants. We did find the pants, but they were all small. She needed a medium or large. At this time we make contact with corporate and we filed a complaint of what we were experiencing and we thought it wasn't fair we thought that they were not willing to make an exception and least make a better offer than five dollars when we know we paid $18 and $14 for those items . CS corporate asked me who did I talk to? Could I get the name and he said I'm surprised that the store coach didn't attempt to offer you some type of resolution better than five dollars. I was able to go back to the customer service desk. I asked for the gentleman he showed up his name is Tim, I got his name. I asked him to repeat and confirm that there was no other alternative that was going to be offered. While on the phone with the CS rep from corporate. I told him they're on the phone and want to hear They wanted to hear what the resolution was from you. He responded in a nasty tone, you do not have a receipt so we cannot give you a cash refund. I responded. I never asked for a cash I told you when I walked in the store. I didn't have a receipt. I didn't stated I have the tags on my items. He stated but they're over 90 days so there's nothing we can do but offer you five dollars. I said OK and then I asked the corporate CS Did you hear all that and he said yes, I took my items and walked away and left the store. corporate took my complaint. They had someone reach out to me and they decided that they were going to meet the exception and they offered me a gift card for the amount that I paid for the item. Good thing I spoke to corporate because the store failed. And when I asked who the store manager was, they told me I can get his name and his telephone number is on the wall when I leave the store they refused to write his name down on a piece of paper or give me the store phone number. I came by here after visiting relatives in the area. The other reviews are accurate. They definitely DO NOT follow any protocols in keeping people safe from COVID, people are within 6 ft of you, The grocery section was a mess, and pure chaos. A lot of basic food items were out of stock maybe for the turkey holiday. It seems that they cut back on cashiers and expect you to use self check out. UM no thanks! Expect long lines at the cashier check outs. 3 stars mostly for friendly employees I encountered. Pharmacy was nice too but, you almost have to yell because they are hard of hearing because of the plexi glass. I remember years ago when I visit the store was clean and organized. Tip: if you love your car, park further back! Your car will love you for it. Bring hand sanitizer and clorox wipes, they are not wiping down carts. read more

They refused to balance the wheels on my BMW after countless unanswered calls to make an appointment and confirm this location had stick on weights in stock I arrived and was directed by a repair tech to go get my vehicle and pull it up to the bay. When I arrived a different tech said he cannot "lift a BMW" with this lift and they haven't serviced a BMWnin months. I immediately asked for a store manager at 1:10 PM to refund for the installation I already paid for. I was told shop manager is on lunch. I repeated my request for the store manager to be paged and I was ignored by both technicians . I asked a store clerk stocking shelves to call for their manager and they never returned. Welcome to Walmart. First I went to the electronics department and asked a gentleman in blue where I could find printer ink. He responded "next aisle over" and pointed. I find the ink, but, guess what, it is locked in a glass case. I wait 5 minutes or so for him to come over to unlock. No sorry, thank you, nothing. I continue my shopping and go to checkout. I don't use self checkout. 2 aisles are open, both with 3+ people in line. I see 3 women workers in blue chatting and go over to them and let them know they need to open more check out lines. I am ignored. Then I notice the checker in the line I am in is gone. The woman in line in front of me informed me she had to go to use the restroom! I go back to these women and inform them - I am still treated like I am bothering them. I also notice 2 of them have "team lead" badges on. I then mentioned "you are team leads, don't you need to step in when a customer asks?" One finally gets embarrassed and follows me, but another says she doesn't know how to use the register/checkout. The food shelves in the refrigerator section , we're almost empty. It look like a going about of business sale. There were about 7 employees by the uprite freezers near the paper plate isle , they were not doing anything. Frederick is by far a richer city than Hagerstown or Waynesboro. So why isn't the Walmart nicer? Why is it actually worse? Inner city Walmart effect? The place isn't as tidy or stocked well as it's poorer siblings to the north. Nor are the staff as friendly. And strangely it's got a bizarre parking lot layout. Which makes finding a spot that much more difficult. There are a narrow spot of spaces by the store and then more across an access road. Instead of the huge sprawling parking lots of most Walmart's. I've never had a problem with their Auto Services before but today has a been a headache. I made a appointment to get tire serviced and the day of it got cancel however on my app it shows it's delayed and will update when the tires are at the store. Two weeks go by, still shows it's delayed. And the money was taken out the day I set the appointment. We called and get the run around. They say the tires showed up the day after I made the appointment and doesn't know why it got canceled. I want tires still but now he's saying he doesn't know what happened to the tires at all. So either someone who works there gave someone service and didn't document or they pocketed it. Now I'm trying to talk to higher up people to figure out what can be done cause I'm out of money and need tires. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Walmart, you've lost a customer. Never again will I do Walmart pickup. I waited over an hour from the time I received notification that my order was ready for pickup and checked in via the app - only to be told they were canceling my order. When asking the staff for an update I was given a variety of excuses ranging from: are you at the right store?, sorry we're short staffed, we're not sure what's going on with your order or when you'll get it, to finally - we're canceling your order because some of the items are missing. When I asked for the partial order - I was told they were not allowed to fulfill a partial order - that it was all or nothing. The scene at pickup was chaotic, no one in charge, no one willing to solve the basic challenge of order fulfillment, and most disturbing- none of the staff really seemed to care - just lots of shrugging and 'not my fault-ing.' I think this Walmart will receive the title of "world's worst Walmart" because I came here with my dad to get fabric for a project. There was nobody working at the fabric section. So we got an employee and the "special assistance" announcement came on the loudspeaker. 5 minutes later, nobody came so we did it again. Still nobody came. There was another family there that was expericing the same thing as us. So we went to get paper instead and we found all of the employees chatting with each other.
