Came here to pick up a Palmer lotion product. I also had a $1 coupon. It would not work so Taylor in the self service attempted to help except the coupon did not work as well. She manually inputted but it still showed full amount. I explained to her for over 10 minutes that the item cost $5.17 and with tax it was $5.49 so with a dollar off it should be $4.49. We park here regularly overnight because it is safe and was allowed. We tried to park on Christmas Eve, but they hired a security guard to let us know that there's no more parking at this Walmart. Instead of putting a sign in advance or a warning of any kind, we get kicked out with nowhere else that is safe to park overnight. Thanks, Merry Effing Christmas to you too! This store is absolutely awful. There was so many carts full of unsorted merchandise throughout the store blocking access to many of the aisles. The shelves were very bare because it appears the majority of the merchandise were in the carts instead of being hung on appropriate racks/shelves. It was also extremely busy and workers I encountered were not helpful and quite rude. Will never shop there again!!! read more

Worst walmart to shop at they do not even get a 1 from my family. Employees are rude to the point of throwing items in the store. Treating customer's as a theaf. This has happen more then once. When shipped, I had them delivered to my work address because I have had porch pirates lately. Anyway, check the picture to see how they were shipped! All the morons did was stick a shipping label on it and send it on it's way. To be delivered to my work site where all my coworkers could see what I ordered! Never order from Walmart Grocery! The staff doesn't know what they are doing. I placed an order online. Went to the store, ask the greeter where I pick up my order, he told me to go the "front" of the store. I stopped at customer service and ask where I should pick up my order, the guy said "all the way to the right". There was nobody there. Only a touch screen, which was useless. Waited 20 minutes. Finally someone was there delivering an order to another customer. I showed him my phone. He said my order is Walmart Grocery, I had to go all the way back to the other side of the store and it is located outside. After waited another 15 minutes, finally got my order. But guess what, they switched up your order without your approval. I didn't realize they switched the order until i got to the car. Walked back to customer service for a refund. The lady there said she couldn't process a refund even though I just picked up the order 5 minutes ago. She wanted me to call some # and I told her she should call for me. She reluctantly called the manager to process the refund. I told the guy who send me to the wrong place for my pick up that he needed to be more careful. He was mouthing off and said I should have told him that I was picking up Walmart Grocery and not Walmart.com. Can you believe his answer??? How was I supposed to know the difference??? If I should have known the difference, then he should have asked!!! This guy is incompetent and does not fit to work in customer service. He doesn't even understand customer service! I used to work over at the North Frederick Wal*Mart, so I know the standards that the employees should be upholding and how the store should be run. This Wal*Mart just does not add up to it at all. The ONLY thing i can say is that the grocery section is always neat and zoned very well, and it's never a problem for me to find anything when I do my grocery shopping there. However, the cashier that stands at the self-check out, i guess during the night, needs an attitude adjustment. One morning I had just gotten off work and had to get some shopping done, and I went in the self checkout at about 6:55AM, with a full cart (there were no cashiers open when i walked over to self check out, they didnt hop on a register until about 3-4 minutes later, after half of my stuff was already scanned) The employee kept huffing and puffing, i guess because she got off at 7am and didn't want to have to "babysit" me, while I was finishing up my purchase? I understand you don't want to stay longer than you have to at work, neither do i, but I would never let that show to a customer. Suck it up, smile, and when they are done, be on your merry way to the time clock. Don't sit there and make me feel like i'm inconveniencing YOU. I haven't done any big grocery shopping there since, because of this incident. This is the closest Walmart of any type to my current house. I come here almost everyday to purchase pretty much anything and everything I might ever need or want. No complaints whatsoever, and I'm proud to be a regular customer at this South Frederick, Maryland Walmart Supercenter. I come here so much that I might as well live here. Not sure how I would be able to get by living in a town without a Walmart Supercenter. I hope that the two potential future new Walmart Supercenters in Frederick, the one replacing the old Walmart on route 26 in the North end of town, and the one on the site of the old Frederick Town Mall in the West end of town, do get built and opened as soon as possible, as I fully support these two Walmart Supercenter proposals here in Frederick, Maryland. read more

Made prior arrangements to purchase and have 4 tires put on my Crossover. Was told (1) customer ahead so come on over. Arrived within 5 minutes, as I was very close. Told by tech an hour/hour and half to put on tires. 2 hours and 15 min later, they were finished (as I waited, I watched employees go and return from breaks/lunch and 4 other customers came, got service and left) I never once complained about long wait and upon checking out was told by cashier that he was very sorry for long wait and didn't understand why, but he noticed service tech entered my vehicle into computer just 25 minutes before completion. That was an hour and 45 minutes after my check in. Bad customer service in my book. Very displeased and will never return for tire service at that location again. read more

I have 5 young children and today it took me 5 min to found a cart with buckles that were not broke ! While I appreciate the low prices on many things, the check-out lines are infuriating. Sure, most places have slow lines occasionally. This location specializes in them. Here's how it seems to work: If there are relatively few people in the store, they will open 3 of their bazillion lines, and you will wait 20 minutes. If there are many people in the store, they will open up 7 lines, and you will wait 20 minutes. If the place is packed, they will open up less than half of their lines, and you will wait 20 minutes. On our last two visits, our waits were 20-25 minutes -- nearly as long as the shopping experiences themselves. The checkers were incredibly slow. And while they scanned...or...attempted.... to... scan...each...item...and...then...place....it...and...arrange...it...in...a...bag...and...twirl...the...baggy...thing...,I could only watch my frozen food thaw in my basket. I'd do a faster job at the self-checkout -- if there weren't 8 people in line at the one self check-out station open. I was at this store when they had their grand opening. Nearly every check-out open, friendly managers and employees all around, a feeling of festivity. Gone. Gone. Gone. Now you have undertrained checkers, few employees around the store, no managers in sight, and a gigantic line at the (understaffed) customer service desk. read more

This store is very "hood". Some of the associates are rude, and sometimes they will get an attitude if they make a mistake or if you need help, and poor service, but overall, the only good thing about the store is that it's a 24 hour store. read more

I absolutely can not stand this Walmart. They have the worst customer service in the whole wide world. I try my best not to shop at this location. When I do I can never find anyone to help me and if I do they are helping other people which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't one person helping ten people. After driving 30 minutes to buy mulch, which was listed on their website as 'in stock, store pickup only', we got there to find there was no mulch. We were then informed that despite wasting our time, they don't do rain-checks. How they are so incompetent as to not take the sold items off their inventory so that the listing is accurate is either a personnel failure or a failure of their tracking program. I had an online order which was paid in cash at this local walmart within 48hrs of my online purchase. I received an email a couple days later informing me my order was cancelled and I should return to the local walmart store for a refund. I return to the customer service center for a refund providing the email proof, along with order number. Since the electronic system on the register said my item was cancelled and could not be refunded, the sales associate, nor the customer svc manager proceeded to seek resolve for the matter. There was no further advice on a 1-800 number to call, or anything. After trying to contact someone through the website to no avail since the online walmart bot couldn't seem to find my order number or email, I had to take to google to find an 800 number. I'm grateful to the customer svc phone rep (who's name escapes me) for even trying to explain to the customer svc manager the necessary steps to process my refund. Even after the explanation and recommendation of the customer rep, the customer svc manager directed my to seek help from the online pickup kiosk section of the store, which clearly had no register, or person there waiting to provide money transaction refunds. Luckily, the button at the kiosk summoned an associate that had great customer service skills and was willing to escort me back to the service desk area to resolve the refund matter (Believe her name was Kari). I'm also grateful to Kari & Keshia the local store sales team that went above and beyond to provide me with my deserved refund. I was completely disappointed by the local store Customer Svc Manager Ms. Patricia's initial dismissive reaction. Although she apologized at the end, that initial impression and the multiple reactions during the interim was upsetting to say the least. This place sucks HARD. the pharmacy is a complete joke. My grandma uses this pharmacy because it's the cheapest and they don't give two shits about life saving medication. My grandma needed a refill on her heart medicine and received a call from the pharmacy saying it was ready for pickup. I go in to get it for her and they say they don't have it. I told them that she got a call that it was ready and they didn't care. They wouldn't help at all. LIFE. SAVING. MEDICINE. and they couldn't be bothered. This is certainly not my store of choice as far as overall experience goes, but at the end of the day, when you're a poor college kid, the price is the main determining factor. Wal-Mart tends to prevail in that aspect most of the time. Grocery prices are low, in many cases lower than typical SALE prices on the same items at most grocery stores. However, that's about all this place has going for it. The store is always a mess, pallets laying everywhere, and some aisles, inevitably, entirely unnavigable with a cart. I don't believe I've ever been here without having to abandon my cart to get to a product because I simply couldn't get the cart through. Seriously, I work part-time in a grocery store, I know it's not hard to keep aisles clear enough for at least one cart - and these are pretty wide aisles! Next, the service. I generally don't pay too much mind to "service" in the traditional sense of the word. I know from first-hand experience that the employees really couldn't care any less about your experience, so while I do appreciate friendly, courteous service, it's not the end of the world if I'm not chatted up like the cashier has known me forever. However, most employees here are just downright rude. I be nice to them, ask THEM how they're doing, and I get scowled at in return. Really? And the managers are no better. This kind of goes hand-in-hand with service, but my final gripe with this store is the checkout lines. I have NEVER been to a store where I had to wait in line for a half hour even once, let alone a majority of my visits. Now, I'm a very patient person, but I have my limits. And it's not even just during the busy periods, it's ALL the time. If it's slow (which isn't saying much, this place stays pretty steady 24/7), they'll have 2 lanes open with lines stacked up back to the clothing racks. If it's a little busier, they'll open another lane or two, with lines still stacked up to the clothing racks. I mean, come on, this is a WAL-MART we're talking about here. Wal-Mart. As in, one of, if not the very, most powerful multi-national corporations in the world. If you were to tell me they can't afford to hire a few more cashiers to better handle volume, I'd laugh in your face. So, all in all, a pretty bad store. I still shop here for the prices and the prices alone, but if price is but a relatively small valued portion of your shopping experience, I'd suggest going elsewhere - not much to find here but low prices. read more
