Three cashiers on a Saturday! Ridiculous. Customer service is lacking at Target. Never again. Expecting your customers to wait in these long lines is not acceptable. Do not shop at Frederick Maryland's Target. I can buy paper towels, Windex, and Q-tips anywhere. Standing in these long lines is a big no. Went shopping last night at around 8. They had ZERO cashiers. Self check out only. What a total cluster phuck. Pathetic.

I love this Target because it's clean, and stuff is organized. They are well staffed. Employees are kinda helpful and friendly. They get you in and out quickly. They don't force you to do self check out. Yall know I cringe at that. It's not my job to do your job, Target! I have 0 patience for using a register, and no I have 0 patience to wait to get the check out monitor to help. Here they have registers open at least 3!. Fitting rooms are clean, and organized. I never have to walk in and see a messing room. They do price adjustments if you see something cheaper elsewhere without giving you a hard time. They keep their parking lot clean. I had an experience here like no other last night. I came here with my husband and son to do some Christmas shopping for the kids in our family. My son had a meltdown so my husband took him to the car. I was waiting in line to use self check out because that's what i prefer. A lady opened her line and yelled out "i can take whoever is next." I looked behind me and told the couple that was waiting they could go ahead in front of me i prefer self check out. They thanked me and went on up. When out of nowhere an older man working in the self checkout area approached me and said "are you waiting for someone?" And i was like no? And he asked me why i wouldn't use a regular check out line and WENT THROUGH my cart in front of everyone and said "technically when we are this busy self checkout is for 10 items or less." Mind you i DID HAVE 10 ITEMS, and didn't bother a soul, and even let the people behind me go in front of me?? I shouldn't have to explain to a damn employee why I'd prefer self check out. I have terrible anxiety and was worried i wouldn't have enough money in my account for the toys and would have to split payments between cards. Not that any of that was this mans business. Absolutely disgusted by how i was treated for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Hope no one else has an experience like this. Beware if you prefer self check out!! read more

Of course, while heading out of town I forgot something. While in the area, and after a quick stop to eat, I made my way here to pick up the forgotten said items. It felt weird stopping here. Not sure why, but it didn't feel like a normal Target stop for me. I mean I knew I was at Target, but something was off. Maybe it was the setup of the store. You can tell that this is a newer setup store, or should I say remodeled store. But it just felt like I got lost in my pursuit. I don't remember all I came in here for, but I do remember browsing around the food and electronics sections. I forgot to bring another plug for my charging cords. Honestly I swear I have bought enough of these to map everywhere I have ever been. I grabbed a few snacks before heading on my way. It saved me from having to walk all over DC when I got there. I always end up buying water and snacks for my room while I'm there. I finally made my way out of here and had to be careful in the parking lot. People just forget how to drive while in the parking lot. read more

A few reasons why I love the Frederick Target: 1. Very organized and clean! Everything you're looking for is where it's supposed to be. 2. Fully stocked. Whenever I look for something online and it's sold out in the nearest Target, rest assured they have it in stock. 3. Clearance section. Wide variety of choices! I've observed that it's less chaotic than the other locations and the clothes are neatly tucked away in the proper sizes. 4. The staff are so much nicer and helpful! I have never been a fan of Target. Mainly because it is one of those big box stores and you can dangerously pick up a lot of things without realizing it. Like IKEA. Anyways, this one has to be one of my favorites because it is quite large, with a large parking lot, next to a Home Depot and Lowes, and it is never overly packed with people. An upside to this place is that since there are not a huge amounts of people on a daily basis, their stock is much better than the ones in Montgomery County. I am usually able to find what I want, in the size I want, etc. One downside is that they can have errors on things. I remember coming here specifically because I saw a game listed at $20. It was labeled incorrectly, and it was $60. Too good to be true, but wished it was true. I basically wasted a trip out here, but since it is rather close to a lot of other chain stores and even a Costco, I decided to just walk around. The location really helps them as they are right near the highway entrance and exits. One other downside is that getting them from the highway is a bit convoluted, but getting back on the highway is much easier. Also a tip, right now they are doing construction on 270 near Frederick. They have been doing construction for half a year now. There are cops sitting behind the portable potties just catching speeders. Watch your speed. read more

Frederick is blessed to have this amazing Target y'all. They remodeled a year or so ago and now we have a Starbucks. Does a suburban mom need anything else to be happy? Does anyone need anything else to be happy? Maybe the removable cup holders they offer at the pick up bar for your sip and shop pleasure. This particular store is always neat, clean, and well-stocked. They carry my kid's flax milk. They have exclusive Ben & Jerry's flavors. I have placed orders for pickup or drive up and legit got the "it's ready" email 5 minutes later. They give you snacks in your drive up order. Snacks!! This store is a well-oiled machine. For the past few days, this target has been taking an extremely long time to get pick up orders ready, even if it's just a single item. I know in the past when they were busy, it said it would take up to 4 hours in the app. It doesn't say that anywhere. I bought something for pick up that we needed a few hours before my husband got off. I was under the assumption it would be ready, it wasn't when he got there. We thought it would take a few minutes because it was one thing. He waited there for almost 3 hours before deciding to go home. He tried talking to the people inside, and no one could give him an answer as to when our order would be ready. I ventured out to this Target looking for clearance Christmas items. I loved the selection of items offered at this location compared to other ones. There was a good amount of inventory left over from the holidays and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the clearance area was still well organized. While I navigated the rest of the store, I also noticed that price scanners were set up in every department. The store was clean and items were not strewn everywhere or misplaced. The women's clearance section was the most neat and organized that I have seen in any Target store. Clearance items were easily identified by signage throughout the store. I approached a store clerk about an item I found in the clearance area and she was happy to check the price and quantity for me. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and the checkout process was seamless. Cashiers were at every register to keep the lines moving. read more

This is the place to go if you think you are better than the Walmart people. The shirts are red the pants are khaki. And the bathrooms are clean enough for my girlfriend to sufficiently blow up... This is a pretty big target. It has a good amount of women's clothes. There is a decent amount of groceries and a good makeup/skin care area. People who work here are nice and lines move quickly. Plus they have a Starbucks. Love it. read more

While my black boyfriend and my black self were in line at self checkout the associate that was running the lanes was super sweet bubbly and helpful to every group that was about to check out or that was at a self checkout. When it came time for her to call us up to use a machine all the sweetness evaporated and was replaced with coldness. Everyone else (yes the other groups were white or white enough) she asked about their day n ask them to please step up. To us it was step up it's your turn. I couldn't catch her name tag but it looked like Sharon or something with an S. She is short overweight with a burgundy bob and walks with a limp. It was about 2:30. If y'all need to run the cameras to watch the interaction I'm wearing pink scrubs with a color matching top. That associate made me uncomfortable and it's hurtful that someone judge me by the color of my skin and decided to treat me differently than they would treat someone else. Shop here often unfortunately had a less than par experience. The "express" lane for 10 items or less what's lit up so we went there to exit with 8 items. The women in front of us had at least 40 items and the cashier let her proceed. He said nothing to her and when we mentioned something to him about it he said nothing. We then had to go to customer service to pickup something. We mentioned it to the woman there and she said there was nothing they could do about it but would check the policy. read more

Wow I'd not visited so many Target stores in a month! My friend needed long johns on the way to snowboarding and I needed a pair of fuzzy shoes to keep my feet warm. We were able to find stuff there quickly but the service was sooooo slow we almost fell asleep. These suburbs were filled with interesting people for sure! read more

Its just like an normal target. I came here last time to get some EOS Lip Balm and online it said their store had the four pack in stock. When we went there it wasn't on the shelf and they were saying that they didn't have it in stock at all even though their website said other wise. The individual was very helpful and went in the back and eventually came out with what we wanted. They had the shelf set up with price tags and everything but they never actually stocked the shelf. Even though it took at least 20 minutes to get what we wanted the employee was very helpful and nice about it. It was just a pain because the other person that helped us tried to say we were wrong and everything. In the end everything worked out and it was worth the trip. They usually have long lines here so be prepared to wait when you check out. read more

Check out clearance clothing racks for great deals - especially around the holidays. As a consumer be very careful at this Target when buying sale items. The staff constantly places signs in front of wrong items and you do not find out till you get to the register to be told oh its not on that size. Customer service is useless as well. chatted only to be told we will look into it. No one takes ownership of the issues this store repeatedly has. read more

The shelves have been not only empty but an absolute mess. Over the holiday season I made excuses of low staff, etc but here we are a few months later and no improvement. I use to go out of my way to go to target but I find myself at Walmart dealing with longer lines but at least I have everything I came for. Specific sections visited: Pillows/bedding, beauty/makeup, body washes/oral hygiene, produce. The clearance section for woman was miserable. Target is a very nice store for shopping. Every staff member is polite and courteous to everyone. Their grocery store is well organized and has a grand selection of produce. The Only thing I don't like is the handheld wallets they sell. I bought one handheld wallet at Target years ago. I had not even had the handheld wallet for a year before the entire zipper stopped working and the zipper's handle came completely off. Other than that 1 experience at Target I have never had any issues with the store nor its staff. read more

I've had ok experiences here before, but the last 2 visits were just not ok. At a different Target a couple of weeks ago, I discovered Auden ladies' underwear. That Target had them in nice drawers, a la Victoria's Secret. So neatly organized, I practically felt bad taking underwear out in order to buy them. I came to this Target to buy more. Wow. Complete chaos. No drawers, which is ok, but the bins--my God, the bins were a mess! Sizes and styles were thrown in without regard to, well, anything. XL's mixed in with XS's, thongs with boyshorts, prints with solids. Adding insult to injury is the fact that they were on sale 5 for $20 online, but there was no signage anywhere in the store saying if that was the case or not. I debated just ordering online not only to save money, but to avoid rummaging though the bins on my hands and knees. I found just a few pairs in my size. When I checked out, it turns out they were indeed on sale. Other items, especially grocery items, were way more expensive than not only their competitors, but regular grocery stores as well. Not sure what Target is trying to become but it's not a place to save money, that's for sure. read more
