This is both a supermarket and a discount retail store under one enormous roof. They sell a lot of merchandise, but don't always provide a wide selection. Their prices are usually low, but their shelves aren't always well stocked. I found some expired cans of food there. If you need assistance employees can be hard to find but are usually helpful. This store is open 24 hours, which is huge in my book. The cashiers bagged my merchandise perfectly and were very polite. read more

I went there during open store hours. Half of the aisles were closed for stocking during open hours??? Then when we asked an employee for an air pump she barely answered or was able to find someone to answer us ... we felt like we were on another planet. Don't go to this location!!! read more

Its close and convenient and clean. pricing is always good. Not the best store but certainly worth the trip

Went to Walmart in Garfield 1/13 we needed a pack of Dr. Browns bottles I rang the assistance button for about 20 minutes and no employee ever showed up to assist in opening the locked door where the bottles are kept I finally decided to walk around the store looking for an employee to open up the door for us but every time I told the employee they would just brush me off and say someone is coming. I ended up going to customer service to find out where is the key to open the glass doors and customer service associate stated oh the person with the key is on lunch but they should be heading back to the bottles now. At this point its been over 45 minutes we head back to meet the associate with the key and surprise! no associate there! my husband spotted a Walmart associate walking by asked if they had the key and he pointed at another associate who happened to be a manager and she was on the phone having a conversation about nothing who looked like she didn't even want to be disturbed. When I asked her what took them so long to get there with the key she had no answer and was completely lost at the fact why the associates are working so horribly..... WALMART DO BETTER read more

Terrible. Here to do some late Xmas shopping in a crowded store with long cashier lines, only to have to wait in another line while someone checks each item in your cart is on the receipt before leaving the store. If they plan to do this they should have multiple people at the front door at the very least. As if that person is really going to check everything that precise lmao. On top of that half the store is also roped off for some unknown reason. I seems obvious that this location is terribly managed. read more

I went to this walmart to have new eye glasses done- what a disappointment- I ordered transition and anti glare lenses. Three days after order they call to say glasses are ready - when i went they didnt have antiglare. They asked me to give them another week to redo lenses. Guess what now the lenses are falling out of the frame and they are very uncomfortable to wear. I will see if they will redo them at no cost but so experience has been terrible- stay away. Don't get your glasses there :( read more

This location seems to have many problems. The store is not kept clean. You will find a mess all over the place. At customer service area, you will see grocery carts fill with dairy and frozen food just sitting there for a very long time. Then they will put the food away back in the dairy or frozen section. I really do not think that food will be safe to eat. Knowing it's been sitting in a cart over a hour and sometimes longer. Some staff is very nasty and not very knowledgeable. Area is not safe at times late at night. This location needs alot of improvement. It is a big store and has variety of stuff. The place is open 24 hours and it's in shopping plaza, that also has Applebees and McDonald's to eat at. read more

I am a local doctor and gave my patient a prescription, which was brought to this Walmart. The pharmacy tech called me to ask some information about my license, but did NOT tell me the medication wasn't covered. Instead, they sent the patient BACK and told them I would have to write another prescription. When I called them to clear this up, they refused to tell me what other alternatives WERE covered by insurance and instead suggested that I write another prescription (instead of taking a phone order) and have the patient go back to their store. If the insurance didn't cover it they would send the patient back again. I told them that I have spoken to hundreds of pharmacies and I have never had this issue. She said "our system doesn't permit it." I was horrified. Called a local CVS and sorted it out in 5 minutes. read more

The worst service ever they put the slowest cashiers to work when it's rush hours ,, people are trying to finish up and go pickup their children from schools while each cashier is taking about 20 min for each customer to check out !! They need to work on their management read more

I called The 24 hour Walmart in Garfield at almost 11PM last night and the phone rang for almost 10 minutes straight . I called a second time in which I was on the phone for another 10 minutes as the phone was ringing and then it finally disconnected on its own. This made me very upset because I do not live around the corner from this Walmart. I wanted to know if customer service closed at a certain time, although the Walmart is a 24 hour store because I wanted to pick up money that was deposited to me. I drove over anyway and took a chance, and when I got there I spoke with a manager named Carlos. He was not very warm and when he saw me waiting near customer service he asked me "what I need." I then told him I wanted to pick up money and he simply shook his head and said I could not do this. I made him aware I tried to call the store twice and the phone kept ringing and all he had to say was at this time, no one would be around to answer the phone because he is the only manager there and he is walking the sales floor. I found this to be COMPLETELY unacceptable, as there should be an employee available to answer the phone at ALL TIMES. What if I was calling for directions and did not have or know how to use a gps or smartphone? What if customers have questions on items in stock? I was not even upset that customer service was closed because I knew there was a possibility there could be. HOWEVER, there should always be at least ONE employee available to answer the phone at all times, no matter what time it is! This store is supposed to be a 24 hour Walmart, therefore there needs to be customer service for 24 hours! I am very disappointed because I like this store but the fact that all the manager Carlos had to tell me was no one would be available to pick up the phone because he needed to walk the sales floor was completely unacceptable. This matter should have been approached and resolved differently. Thus, this is a wonderful store, management just lacks improvement in problem solving. read more
