This store isn't perfect, but what store is? Every store has something other stores don't have, but…read morenot every store has great employees. However, even when a store has great employees, people have bad days, so lighten up. Yeah, I have to do my rounds to get everything I want, but I get what I want and make a list for each store. As for Fred Meyer in GP, I've been very happy to shop here. Most of the employees are friendly most of the time. It's clean, well lit, has a decent variety and the prices are comparable to some of the other stores in GP. I also like that there's a gas station at this location and I get a little discount at the pump after shopping. If you want to save a little more, there are coupons available if you create an account on their Website. Generally speaking, this store can provide a good shopping experience if you have a good attitude and don't let the small stuff get under you skin. If something does bother you, inform the manager, so they can address the issue and hopefully fix it. Hope this helps. Cheers

With that being said, the good memories feel far away. I will give 5 stars for the employees busting it in the food service areas. Personable, marketing that is customized to my preference, and always make effort to engage. Self checkout gets irritated by you existing. God forbid you're holding your baby and need assistance with gallons of water. Ended up loading everything myself because I could not deal with middle age man passive aggression I was experiencing. What exactly do they even get paid to do? Incredibly rude.

Freddy's is a GIGANTIC store, which I have found overwhelming for years. Thankfully, friends have…read morehelped me learn how to find what I want here. For example, Freddy's is one of the rare places in town that consistently sells super high-quality Baby Gem lettuce AND for a very competitive price. Bless their hearts, they also sell organic orange cherry tomatoes well into the winter when no one else does and they taste wonderful!!! Because the grocery store is primarily conventional, I shop here very carefully. My husband and I only eat organic food and I don't want to mistakenly purchase something I think is organic and drive home with it only to find out that it is conventional. I don't shop in any other part of this really huge store but I do value the grocery section. They have an excellent selection of artisan cheese, olives, and lots of other things that are pretty hard to get up here in Southern Oregon. I find that the people who work here are consistently very warm and friendly, which I very much appreciate. It makes doing my errands is a great deal more pleasurable. And, I also really appreciate that I get points for what I purchase in the grocery section which we apply to purchasing gas at Freddy's. My husband says that Costco and Fred Meyers have the most competitive prices for gas consistently so that's where we buy our gas Thank you very much for all that you do. Please keep doing it!!!

When you search for jeans and all it brings up is 4 pages of Depends, there is a competency issue) First, no ads by the entrance, next they had closed the fitting rooms "for the rest of the evening" per an employee. Four hours before closing they blocked off the fitting rooms with chairs and refused use. Then found they had closed all but one register in groceries and waited a very long time. When I said it was wrong to close the fitting rooms, the checker said "you can bring them back". Uh...ya, at $5 a gallon and a couple hours of my time. Then to cap it all off, I got home finally and found that checker had not taken the alarm tag off. You can't remove those without a special device. So...I have to spend extra time and money anyway

Today, I shopped at Walmart in Crescent City, CA. for salad veggies. Today is 1-20-2025. I was in…read morethe produce department at about 1:00 p.m. Went to find organic green bell peppers and found them and the radishes, just below the peppers. Both products were water logged from excess water from the spritzer. Both the bell peppers and the radishes had water inside their plastic wrappers, as well on a bit of frost on the a radish inside the organic radish bag. No, it was not mold, it was frost. They keep that section too cold for bell peppers and radishes. So, since I had not anticipated needing to drive around with greens and green onions in the car, while I shopped for the peppers and radishes at Safeway, the only sensible thing to do was just go get all my veggies elsewhere, and take them all straight home. The first time this happened was months ago, and I was unaware of the situation in the organic produce department and got home to find the radishes and peppers I had bought were inedible. The radishes were clearly saturated on the inside, with one side of the white part looking the normal white color and the other half looking grey and awful. This was just the result of being water logged and frost bitten. Anyone who gardens knows what I am talking about. Also, the bell peppers had large soft, soggy spots that were not rot, but soggy and frost bitten. I do not understand the attitude that a manager would have, to allow this to occur in a food store. Produce is called perishable for a reason. Produce needs a little bit of care to remain edible for a reasonable amount of time. Besides the wasting of food, this practice of neglecting the standard of storage and/or display of produce says so much about the departments' lack of regard for the shopper or the value of food. Especially since this is not the first time this has happened to this shopper. Walmart does not care, so neither will I care any longer, to shop Walmarts' produce department. The extra few miles I will drive for decently cared for produce will be fine with me. The waste of food through careless handling is not fine at all, however.
