Oh Walmart we have a love and hate relationship, but this location is my favorite for a "quick" stop. I often find what I'm looking for without the giant Walmart crowds. I recently joined WALMART plus and you can say whatever you want , but I do enjoy coming straight home from work and knowing my grocer will arrive shortly. The store is one of the busier ones that I have been to in the Fort Lauderdale metro area, although all of them are busy....people are trying to make their dollar stretch further at Walmarts vs other full price retailers. I specifically wanted to browse some inexpensive wall art since I have an acquaintance who is moving into a small apartment and they would benefit from some color on their walls. This store is always busy. It is located at a spot that is easy to find. It's at a corner on a major street. It shares the area and parking with other businesses. It has a big parking lot. Finding nearby parking is a challenge because of how crowded it normally is. I have not yet found a good working condition shopping cart at this location. Either one of the wheels doesn't work, they get stuck, or the cart makes noise. I have an issue with that. I came in today and noticed the new Christmas additions. They have sweaters, PJs, and some clothing now. Hello, December in October lol. I was looking for a quick costume. They did not have much section left for adults. It looked pretty picked. They did have plenty of costumes for small children. Even the Halloween candy section had now a few selections. The new Krispy Kreme display was a nice addition. The doughnuts tasted fresh just like the store. They had a good variety. I was happy to see it here. The employees here are not the most friendly people. They are not approachable. I would even say scary to approach because of the attitude. The customer service is horrible. If you have a question no one seems to know the answer and they become frustrated. Damn can I give negative stars? Closed early. I needed diapers and walked up to the doors at 10:52 pm. Associate stood at the door saying his boss told him not to let anyone in. I was confused b/c sign claims store doesn't close until 11. Would love to escalate this issue. I asked associate to contact manager so I could speak to him/her. A customer passing by warned me that store calls the police. I was even more confused b/c where was the threat? Apparently she was referring to me requesting to speak to a manager. Unfortunately I took one star off because of my checkout experience with the cashier Ania Customer experience is everything and my checkout with her outweighs my shopping experience because it's what left the lasting impression. Outside of her, the store was very clean and surprisingly well stocked for the holidays. Most of the employees (except Ania) were helpful and very pleasant. Produce fresh, and the customers were very friendly as well. There was a shortage of shopping carts which wasn't a big deal because the staff was replenishing them frequently, just had to be a little patient. Shop there every Sunday. Yesterday a security guard decided he didn't like my face, so he pulled me out of the self check out line and told me I had too many items. He told me I had to go to a cashier line. I had 10 items in my cart. I have spent thousands of dollars at this location. They will never see me again. I'm willing to do the cashier's job for them and a security guard tells me to go get on another line after waiting at self check out for 10 minutes? FAIL. This is arguably the worst walmart in south florida. No matter what time of day you come here, expect to wait atleast 10 minutes in the line to check out. I usually have to wait 15-20 minutes! I really really hate to put this Walmart out there but I just don't understand the dynamic of this organization. Set up 30 cash registers and only have 2 working and self check out. The lines are always massive, I constantly see people stealing from here and it bothers me. The employees do not seem to want to help you. I have stood almost 30 minutes waiting for someone to help me cut fabric. I have stood 20 minutes waiting for someone to open the spray paint cans. I sometime check out through electronics, or the garden. I don't even know what a manager looks like in here. 6 months after opening I slipped and fell in the floor because the roof was leaking. This new building had a leak 6 months in. And I was 8 months pregnant. No one followed up, no one wrote and incident no one apologized. I can see why people sue companies like Walmart. Who reviews a Walmart with 4+ stars?!?! I do but only this location. I strayed away from this location because it is not in the best of neighborhoods. It is in the vicinity of where I see a lot of clients so it is convenient to stop at on my way home. This one particular night, I decided to take a chance and shop here. I am glad I did! Most Walmarts are run down and consist of ghetto people and staff who are socializing and in the way of customers. This Walmart has none of that. I found everything I wanted and items were in stock-shocker! I was able to shop in peace and not be bothered by inconsiderate people. Everyone in that store was pleasant. They were even polite! The store was very clean and not messy or out of order. Even the check out line was not a nightmare. I mean of course I had to wait in line but I did not gain any gray hairs this time. My cashier was very pleasant and personable. The woman behind me was socializing and apologized when she dropped her items and almost hit me. This is the Walmart closest to my home, and I use it primarily for the pharmacy. I have not had any issues and they always have my meds ready within 15/20min. Sometimes, less than that! Another little known, free, and convenient service is Walmart grocery pick up and the pick up. The grocery pick up is nice because you stay in your car the whole time! You order online, decide if you'll let them make substitutions or not and then park in a designated spot, check in on the app and they bring your purchases out to you. It's great. The online pick up is similar, in the front of the store they have an area with 3 comfy chairs and you go... Check in, sit and a Walmart employee brings out your things. Because of these easy to use services, my visits to Walmart are okay. When I've had to shop in-store the checkout lines can be a bit of a drag I must admit! read more

Asked for a price check from another employee and they said they weren't able to do it either even though she had a scanning device with her. Neither the employees nor the management of this location care about having items in stock. They don't even have peg hooks or locations for some of the items, so they're not in stock even though they have on hands of things. The app will tell you that they have it in stock and you can pick it up in a couple hours, but you won't be able to because they do not keep there on hands updated or work their reports to fix their out of stocks. Their system will never reorder if they don't have the correct on hands, so it causes them just to not have things that the system thinks they do. It really sucks when you're in a bind and you really need something and you've drove out of your way to get there and you can't get it. Now I have to go to a different retailer and hope that they have what I need because they didn't, even though their system says they do. Out of the three employees I talked to, only one of them spoken English, and I had to ask for a manager to get that. It's no wonder Walmart stock prices are falling and everyone is ordering online. Worse Walmart EVER!! Rude employees. They get away with price gouging by doing it weekly until 2 months later a price has increased over 75-80%. Long lines, no cash lines, a minimum of 5 people with full carts at the checkouts. Only 9 registers out of 22 open. They had Sam's beef bone broth on the shelf. I took one. When I got to the checkout it scanned unsellable. I asked why. Some guy said it may have been recalled. I said but it's a new case on the shelf. Why was it put out or why hadn't it been pulled. I have 2 more at home and need to know if it's tainted. No answer. 20 minutes later the product is still on the shelf. I call corporate (all the way in India) and was told if the store manager doesn't feel like, then I won't receive a call back. So tomorrow I will call the board of health to try and find out what is going on. Very simple but Walmart's anti customer policy turns everything into a big deal. read more

Let me explain they have 22 registers. Out of 22 registers only 7 had cashiers ringing !! Yes the rest were closed !! The lines I can't even tell you 50 people on each of the 7 registers. Not to mention self check was from the entrance to the back at the milk isle ! So I called customer service 30 minutes while I was on line to pay. They finally answered !
